Guest Reviews
- Janet (10/5): - This cottage is in an excellent condition and all details well thought out
- Verified traveler (8/5): Family stay August 2024 - We had a relaxing 3 night stay. The bed in the main bedroom wasn't very comfortable and we felt like we were going to fall between the matresses as they were pushed together. The property is situated on a main road which we didn't realise. The road noise was loud when we sat outside at the back end which was most of the time but inside the house was much more quiet with the double glazing and the house stayed cool in the hot weather. The layout of the house was nice, the lounge had a good feel to it. There was everything you needed utensil wise and the communication from the owners was good with quick responses.
- Lowri (10/5): - What a delightful cottage, beautifully presented
- Emma (8/5): - The house was well equipped, modern and very clean. Smart tv and wifi was included. Very quiet location. Parking was a bit tricky in the dark. Nice garden which would be lovely in warmer weather.
- Mike (10/5): Excellent stay. - Excellent accommodation , so accesible for the forest, and all the little extras and comforts, so impressed, we had such a great time, rooms all of a very high standard, and bedrooms so comfortable, we will return.
- sarah (10/5): Perfect holiday cottage - Perfect cottage with everything you could ask for.
- Claire (10/5): - A little tricky to find in the dark but we all had a lovely stay, the cottage was amazing and would definitely stay again
- Verified traveler (10/5): cosy cottage - The owner was very kind they allowed us to enter the cottage earlier as we needed to change and leave our things as we were attending a wedding in the afternoon.
The cottage was lovely, very cosy well maintained.
They also had a barbecue area and a griller but unfortunately we didn't have time
They also provided coffee, tea milk and biscuit which was handy for us.
We will definitely stay again nice place to explore
- Sue (10/5): Cosy cottage in the forest - Really comfortable and cosy cottage, well located deep in the beautiful forest. I can imagine the multiple outside sitting opportunities would come into their own in summer. Also really appreciated the gestures for the dog (bowls, treats, towel, lead). A great stay, thank you.
- Andrew (10/5): Lilac cottage - The cottage is in a really great location to walk straight out into the forest and is also a fantastic base to explore the various attractions and days out. We had 2 young boys < 7 and our dog and it was safe, secure and big enough for all of them to expend energy whilst at base. The hostess is amazing and has lots of handy hints for your stay. We will definitely be going back to see Louise and Lilac cottage again. A real home from home in the heart of the Forest of Dean. Highly recommended
- Waqar (10/5): - The cottage was very cosy, everything we needed was provided, clean and tidy too. We had a 3 month old baby with us and there was enough space for our travel cot to fit in one of the bedrooms.
We had wifi, digital tv, netflix, a fairly large selection of dvds and a selection of board games to choose from to keep us entertained.
There isnt much phone signal in that area of the forest but with wifi in the cottage it wasnt too much of an issue, plus gave us a bit of time away from our phones.
Will certainly come back and stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Layout of the college worked for a family. Kitchen very well equipped
- kirsty (10/5): Excellent - recommended - Amazingly equipped cottage - everything you could possibly need. Cosy and clean. Would definitely recommend.
- Neil (10/5): - Great cottage in a fabulous location
