Short walk to the North slope entrance + VIP passes were truly awesome, saved us all the time & hassle meant we could get in early, benefiting from more time to enjoy the scenic area. We thouroughly enjoyed the hot springs & hot buffet dinner at hotel, esp after whole day out in the cold! We look forward to return when we visit Changbaishan again! Everything was great!

- gfraysse (9/5): Great resort close to Heaven/Tianchi lake and Changbai mountain - Great resort/hotel next to Changbai mountain. The hotel provides a shuttle to the Chanbaishan high-speed train station. Visit to Tianchi lake are possible whenever weather allows it, the hotel is very close to the entrance and has a shuttle to drop you off /pick you up at the entrance. The whole return trip can be done in 3 hours. 2 restaurants. Hot spring inside the hotel are a nice plus. The hotel is more a resort next to the mountain. There are limited to no option to eat outside close to it so expect to dine in or travel some distance. There are some outdoor activities in the hotel including a petting zoo with many deers as well as some rabbits and dogs. Some people might feel that animals would be better in the nature than in the enclosed space.

Good hotel for hot spring - I liked that Crowne had its own inhouse hot spring, as well as the "zoo"/animal petting area at the back; the kids enjoyed feeding the cute animals (alpacas, dogs, rabbits etc). The hot spring also offered massages and I enjoyed the massage provided by 晴; she helped alleviate my back pain. Far from town and food places; we're pretty much limited to the 2 restaurants in the hotel. Room service menu is also limited. Aircon in room was also too hot and not adjustable during winter.
- Michelle (8/5): Recommend this hotel for one visiting Changbaishan for Tianchi. - Wonderful location just next to the North Slope and with the hotel fast pass access cum transfer, it made the trip up to Tianchi more palatable. Concierge and restaurant service staff were great in service and assistance. Breakfast spread was extensive. Enjoyed the passes for 4W activity and 大戏台河景区- allowed us additional fun. Front desk staff (ladies) were mechanical in response and fulfilled tasks perfectly…unfortunately service attitude and response intonation reflected rude. Spoke too fast and an underlying annoyance detected when we sought further clarification. We try to communicate in Chinese but foreigners may not understand totally what’s said when spoken to at your usual fast pace Chinese. Not one but 2 lady staff on 2 separate days (occasions) - Wang Haidi and another.

Even 6 staff weren’t able to solve payment issue. Management extremely unfriendly, rude and provocating. Don’t pay more than 600-700RMB. Absolutely not worth it!

- Smarandescu (10/5): Strongly recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay in the mountains. - Great resort, front desk assistance and tour guidance available 24/24. One Chinese and one “Western” restaurant inside the hotel, which was very convenient. Pick up bus from hotel to the skying location and for the tour of the Tianchi Mountain Lake and other natural spots. The animals’ farm at the back of the hotel is a very fun activity for both children and adults. Just, it’s a pity that there isn’t a walking path in the woods at the back of the hotel accessible to the hotel’s customers. We would have appreciated to be able to go for a longer walk in the nature.

- Amanda (8/5): Natural hot spring not natural - Unlike other upscale hotels in China, patrons were not required to take showers or wear caps in the pool area. Some were soaking with their T-shirts and skirts/pants on. I was not sure whether it was a natural hot spring as advertised. There was no signs stating the kinds or concentration of minerals in any one of the pools, I also wondered why herbs needed to be put into some of the pools if the Facility was bestowed with natural spring water. Cell phone use was allowed. Some used it to play movies while soaking in the water, some talked or texted and some took pictures even inside the changing room. Spitting could be heard frequently in the outdoor hot spring area, it’s not a big surprise to find out that one of the spitters was their on-site staff. Worst of all was the light and noise pollution. The entire area was lit up with bright multiple-color flashing lights, we were like being placed in a disco or fun fair. We chose this Hotel only because of the Hot Spring but it was a total disappointment. The indoor swimming pool was temporarily closed, there was no massage service either.
