- Tep (6/5): - Bone
- Douglas (6/5): - Very limited office hours.
- Donna (8/5): - The check in was easy. The room was very clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Unable to get tv and heat to work.
- Daniel (2/5): - We had to get a broom and sweep the floor our selves . Staff did not offer to help.
- Elizabeth (2/5): - Old & decrepit
- Lyle (4/5): - Very poor condition. Don't lock anything in your room in the morning and try to get back in. The office is closed, and you are on your own. The only positive thing about the place was that it was clean. There was a hole punched in the bathroom door, and sheetrock in disrepair, the doorknob came off the bathroom door, and two shower towels, no one there to get more.
- Helen (8/5): - Price is good
- Mary (6/5): Quick trip - Check in was quick and easy. Very pleasant staff. Great accommodations for an overnight stay.
- Richard (2/5): - Hard bed. Usedup pillow. Dysfunctional television.
- ROBERTA (10/5): - Very clean
- Darlene (6/5): - Most of it wasn’t their fault. Road construction made it impossible to get to. We could see it but road conditions completely torn up. Also no hot water. Noisy road construction. Also restaurant was closed probably because of construction
- Rena (2/5): - Dirty, air condition in the wall 2 inches off the floor, office unkept, unsafe bathtub. The blinds were very diry in bathroom and small back window. Stained sheet on one of the beds. The floor felt dirty when you went barefoot. The heat register in bathroom was disgusting, very dirty.
- Sara (2/5): - Our doors did not lock correctly and had to fight to latch it every time. Air conditioning barely did anything to really cool the room and the toilet didnt flush properly. Floors were sticky and beds were so week one could feel each individual spring. Staff was ok
- Gerald (8/5): - The motel needs a face lift.
- Shelly (4/5): - The staff was very friendly. But When I checked in the owner said "oh oh" she said the bed needed to be changed. At 1 in the morning the tub handles broke off. The owner fixed them at that time.
- Colleen (8/5): - Comfortable
- Collette (8/5): - There seemed to be an ant problem in the room. They were all over the bathroom. Water in sink squirted funny and made a mess. Lots of construction going on but my dog enjoyed her stay!
- Mark (6/5): - .
- Debi (6/5): - Just needed a basic room to stay and this worked fine. Had an issue with the tv, but they fixed it. The only drawback was there was no extra toilet paper in the room so we had to buy our own.
- Robert (10/5): - Reasonable price
- Alizzabeth (8/5): - Staff was polite the entire time of our stay. Only bad thing I have to say is that we couldn’t lock our door since the trim on the wall was falling off and there was no hot water we had to flush the toilet every couple seconds in order to have hot water at all
- Erin (4/5): - The flooring in the bathroom was coming up and the bathroom tile was falling apart. The office was closed when we got there at 10:00 and the number on the office door to call after hours didn't work. After finding another number we were able to check in, but the person on the phone couldn't remember how many people were staying and how many nights. We stayed 2 nights. When we got back to the hotel after our first day, our key cards didn't work and had to be given new cards. The office was open, but not staffed. We had to call someone to get help with the key cards. When we tried to check out at 9:00, the office was closed. Again, we had to call to learn the check out procedures. We were told to leave our key cards in the rooms and we would be checked out at 2:00 when the office opened for the day.
- Steve (6/5): - Clean, comfortable, it looks like they have been trying to upgrade recently, new locks on doors makes it feel safer.
- Lynda (10/5): - Staff was so helpful and accommodating! Great service. Will stay next year for sure!!
- Wesley (2/5): - This place is a dump.
- Jeanna (6/5): - Was cute little room but not very clean and comfortable beds.
- Sara (2/5): - This property was terrible! We ended up only spending 1 night instead of the planned 2. There was a hole in the bottom of the door from the door being kicked in, the heater was in pieces in the room and they had brought in a broken space heater, no hot water, ZERO water pressure in the shower, there was a paper cup plugging a hole in the wall. I have pictures of everything and could go on and on but I am not allowed enough room. Absolutely do NOT stay here!
- TJ (2/5): - Bad everything, from trying to find help to get a clean towel to squeezing through the eight inches between the end of the bed and the ruined wall. Never mind the trains every 15 to 20 minutes all night long or the busy highway outside the door.
- Vanessa (7/5): Good -
- Deborah (10/5): - Great place
- Joseph (10/5): - Everything was nice tho ac didnt work very good.
Good deal for the price.
- Victoria (10/5): - Very friendly staff and good location
- Robert (5/5): Decent especially for the price. - Room was clean and quiet. Shower was barley warm.
- Jon (8/5): - Great place for the price.
- Lori (8/5): - There were some interesting people staying at the property. A man offered my grandchildren cupcakes (??) We told him, no thank you. Other than that it suited what we needed and it was affordable.
- Nancy (8/5): Cheap stay - Decent place to stay if you’re looking for something cheap. It’s your typical old school hotel nothing fancy.
- Shelly (8/5): - It's satisfactory. Bed good. Mgr who checked me in very nice.
- Robert (8/5): - Descent. Put us in dirty room but then fixed once we complained.
- Jeremy (10/5): Great value - Very nice facilities for being a older motel, new updated have been continuously added . But great value.
- Scott (8/5): - Very good clean room with amenities for the price.
- Ivy (10/5): - It was kind of draftythrough the air conditioner and door
- Pamela (4/5): - There was blood on the floor and on the mattresses pad. The The floor was sticky. The corners need to be cleaned out.
- James (8/5): C+ - The motel was older…. Had a few issues,
But the staff was excellent and took care of the problems….
- Diana (2/5): - The staff made a racist remark about the owner and the previous guests staying at the room. The staff also complained of my arriving an hour early for check in and made no attempt to hide his disdain. I stood there as he swept the floor ranting about my early arrival and he didn't understand why people always do this sh*t and expect the room to be ready. He could have simply said the room is not ready quite yet and I would have just waited in my car or hung out at the gas station but nope, he complained within ear shot. Such hospitality. The only reason it's a 1 star is because it didn't give me an option for 0 stars.
- Tracey (6/5): - The could throw a little money into the place and do a better job on repairs. Better lighting would help, needs sconce lights over the beds for reading
- Sheila (1/5): We considered leaving, but it was kind of late to drive home. - The price would have been good if it would have been a decent room. I couldn't get hot water, the walls were unfinished, the beds weren't great, there were plastic pillow covers, we couldn't check in when we wanted and, although it smelled clean, my socks were filthy when done. Our friends got a smoking room that was in horrible shape!
- Delos (2/5): Not the best place to stay - Location The bathroom shower curtain had mold it took 10 minutes to get hot water television system would work for an hour and then reboot
- Kim (8/5): - Price was great
- BRUCE (8/5): - THE LITTLE RED HAIR GUY THAT WAS THERE WHEN WE CHECKED IN WAS A CUTIE
- Cory (1/5): Bad - Absolutely nothing Had to call to check in over the phone
Key card had access to every room.
Paid for 2 nights. Took all of our belongings due to the key card we had could open any door so we figured all the key cards could. Returned to having our room having others in it. Apparently the housekeeper had thought we checked out and checked someone else into our room.
- Christina (4/5): - I’m not sure what I expected from a motel. But the beds were hard, the pillows and mattress were plastic coated and uncomfortable. The shower in our room did not work at all. Luckily enough we knew someone in town that we could use their shower. It’s right next to a train track that’s very busy so must like the sound of trains. Staff was friendly and followed up with fixing the shower but was a little late since we were in town for a wedding.
- Carolyn (8/5): - We are novice travelers with very little motel experience. We chose one that fit our very tight budget. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and smelled good, and the mattresses were excellent. The motel was a bit shoddy, but I can see this young couple are doing the best they can with it. It is located on a rather busy highway with an active railroad running parallel to it on the other side. Light sleepers might object to the noise, but we were VERY tired and heard it, but slept right through. I was wishing for one or two racks upon which to put our luggage and more outlets for cell phone charging. But we managed just fine without them.
- Susan (4/5): - I had made reservations for this place in March. The reservations were from a Sunday through Friday. Upon arriving, there was nobody in the office. So we called the number which took us to their Motley office. "We don't have rooms". That's odd. There's hardly anybody here and I made reservations. "Oh yes, I see your reservation, but we don't have rooms". I later understood that to mean that they don't have staff on Sunday and therefore not only nobody to check us in, but the rooms were cleaned yet. WTH. So we wound up in Motley. 25 miles away. But we needed to be near Wadena that night, so actually it became 50 miles there and back. We checked in the next day. I knelt on the bed and my knee touched the box spring. On the positive side, the room was large and fairly clean - could've used a mopping, but it was vacuumed, dusted and the bathroom was clean. For a $75 motel, it was pretty good in that regard.
- Audrey (6/5): - The manager was excellent. Very professional. The room itself was clean but older. There were tiny jumping bugs on the floor and we had a pet so that was a concern so we checked out after 1/2 hour in the room.
- Wallace O (6/5): - having to move the bathroom door to get to the toilet paper - the bed was too soft - the a/c was too loud and had to be turned off to sleep
- Victoria (8/5): - Quiet and safe but a little run down
- Beth (2/5): - Did not like the room no hot water dirty walls and hole in bathroom door no hot water in the room and after i put do not disturb sign on the door someone came in the room very disappointed
- Gloria (6/5): - we only got one channel on the tv .....
- Bob (10/5): - Hey this place is great! Felt like we were staying at a friends house :)
- James (10/5): - Easy access location.
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- VALERIE (6/5): - This hotel is an average hotel, could be updated some, the room is nice but the bed could be more comfortable. This kind of hotel works for the short term stays that I use them for. The price is right.
- Gregory (2/5): - Poor condition of property, no heat
- Jill (1/5): Bad - Room was cold, dirty, and needed an upgrade.
- Cynthia (8/5): - renovation in progress, but was clean, warm and comfortable
- Winkleblack (6/5): Pleasant - Easy to get to
- Jeffrey (2/5): - Nothing good about this property. It looked like the last update to the room and bed was in the 1970s.
- Kenneth (7/5): worked for what i needed - Cheep, good location. could use a little updating.
- Kevin (7/5): Good -
- Thomas (3/5): never again - the bed was okay! the front door had a half inch gap, good thing it wasn’t winter!
- Karen (2/5): Very poor - Check In staff was very nice. Location I was there overnight for work it was just a couple of miles to where I needed to go. Property is really run down paint on doors flooring curling. Looks like someone just did not care when they painted the room. Mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. I couldn’t take a shower tile moldy. I like good pull I motel this was not it.
- Vicki (5/5): Passable -
- David (4/5): Disappointing -
- Melanie (5/5): Passable -
- Robert (6/5): It served the purpose for me. - They don't offer breakfast, location was fine. Front desk isn't occupied at times. I requested a king room got a double instead.
- Kelly (2/5): - This is a property which is falsely advertised, the hotel is 1000 feet off of highway 10, there's no picnic area, there's no attached bar and grill, and the rooms are dusty and noisy. There's a person who lives there and it looks like a dump which is why it's not pictured...all of the pictures are of another place because when we got there, our jaws dropped because that WAS NOT what they showed online. This is a lie and a scam. We ended up going home because there's no way you could sleep with the nonstop traffic. I wouldnever recommend this place or the othe hotel this guy owns in Motley.
Expedia should have reimburse me because of allowing falsely advertised hotels to be on your website, I only booked it because you recommended it!
- Russ (8/5): - Ok place to stay. Needs more updating.
- Lyle (10/5): - It was clean and absolutely no problems only my excited roommates excited to get away for our weekend vaca!
- kathleen (2/5): - The room was very shabby and dirty with old McDonalds wrappers behind the nightstand and hairs in the tub. The heater on the floor was broken and the fan in the bathroom was ripped out of the ceiling. Holes in the walls and dirty smears everywhere. The rug was stained and not vacuumed. I would have not stayed but I would have lost my $82 deposit
- Robert (3/5): Never again. - Needs a deep clean and repairs
- Paul (2/5): I will never stay there again - Location scruffy, poorly maintained
- Dwight (5/5): Passable -
- Lynch (7/5): Good -
- Jane (8/5): - Railroad tracks too close, too many trains all night long.
- Randy (2/5): - Mold in the shower. Sink drain broken. Beds were not comfortable.
- Terri (6/5): - Property could use “refreshing,” new paint, new bed covers & linens. Towels were very nice, new, clean & fluffy!
- Verified traveler (2/5): DO NOT RECOMMEND - The room was overall disgusting, the floor was sticky, spiders in the bathroom, cigarette burns on comforter, bed bugs. Room was not safe at all, door does not lock from inside, the door guard lock is long enough that someone can undo it from the outside. NOT SAFE, NOT CLEAN!!
- Lynette (8/5): - The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. I think we even got a better room sooner so that we could get ready for our reunion.
- KENNETH (4/5): absurd - If I were hotels.com I would REMOVE this property from your list. It was disgusting but the only one available
- Michel (2/5): - Obviously Expedia does not read the comments sent in with your virtual agent. To sum it up, the room was dark dingy, smelled heavily of disinfectant and God knows what.
The lady barely spoke English, said it could be a mistake with their other property 20 miles away. The outside of the property had wires dangling from the roof, they looked like ice melting wires, the air conditioners for most rooms had their filters pushed in or falling out and the room setting was different from the pictures viewed on the Expedia site. I would not have let my dog even go in that room for 2 minutes, the smell was so overpowering.
The lady said she would cancel the reservation and it better happen.
I have dealt with Expedia for many many years, and I cannot believe that they would be promoting such a disgrace.
- Karie (6/5): - They made sure I got a room. After my reservation was entered wrong in to there system. I was very happy for that. I just needed a place to sleep while in the area for the Ronald McDonald Ride in New York Mills.
- Royce (2/5): - This place was uniquely crappy!!
- Robert (2/5): The worst hotel I've stayed in since childhood. - This hotel was dirty, I think I killed at least 10 flies in the room. The room itself was cleaned, however. I had a sink hole in my mattress. Seriously a deep indentation which can ruin your back if you sleep on it. I booked the room last minute, and it was the only motel in the area for less than $100. But I would never stay there again.
- Jodie (8/5): - In expensive room for WeFest.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Operator was responsive to calls and flexible with check in times.
- Rebecca (6/5): - It was alright
