Raul (1/5): Awful. Calling this hospitality is like calling a vending machine a five-star restaurant. - Upon arrival, we found that the so-called "Express Self-Check-In Counter" was not operational. As a result, we were unable to activate our magnetic key and could not access our room. We spent nearly two hours attempting to reach customer service for assistance. Despite speaking with different agents who attempted to activate our key cards remotely, neither was successful in resolving the issue. During this time, over ten other guests were also stranded outside the building experiencing the exact same problem. Several online reviews confirm that the self-check-in system has been broken for over a year. The hotel's technician confirmed this is a recurring issue. It is evident that this is a longstanding issue, yet the hotel fails to fix it, providing no alternatives and no on-site staff support. The telephone customer service agents were horrific. One of them scolded me for "not reading their website" and having "unreasonable" expectations. It took nearly two hours for a technician to be dispatched to the property to finally activate our room keys. Other guests waited even longer. This delay is unacceptable, especially when the hotel is fully aware of the ongoing malfunction. The hotel's lack of accountability, and operational readiness is inexcusable. Given the lamentable experience and non-existent customer service, we requested to cancel our reservation. The hotel’s failure to provide timely and reasonable access to the room constitutes a clear breach of contract. Their telephone agents refused to cancel our reservation and issue a refund.

Frank (5/5): Passable - The place was clean. Parking area was sufficient on site. Outdoor area and huge dining room were good. The mattrasses were horrible. Kitchen was not equipped with teaspoons, no proper water or juice glasses. The TV had no or very poor reception. The garden was not well kept, the barbeque on site was dirty and defunct. There are not 6 bedrooms as advertised, but only 4, of which two bedrooms were partitioned into two sections - so no privacy as two couples were really sharing one large bedroom. Overall disappointing, not what we expected.

Die Fotos auf Hotels.com. waren so schön. Unser Apartment war sehr ungepflegt mit kaputten Möbeln eingerichtet und nicht sehr sauber. Das Geschirrhandtuch hat gemüffelt, das Wasser in der Dusche lief nicht ab, überall waren Handabdrücke die wohl jemand mit Absicht hinterlassen hat, das Spülung war ranking, die Seife im Bad alt und im allgemeinen haben wir uns nicht wohl gefühlt und haben die letzte Nacht nicht in Anspruch genommen und sind Heim gefahren. Schade um das Geld, das ärgert mich sehr. Es ist wirklich nicht in Ordnung mit anderen Fotos zu werben. Ich habe die Vermutung das die Bilder und Bewertungen evtl. Vom Vorbesitzer stammen

Stefan (9/5): Superb location for hiking in the region - We really enjoyed our stay: Location is great for hiking in the region The apartment has basically everything you need for your stay: well equipped kitchenette, balcony, easy access to drinks at fair prices (please fill in the fridge at entrance if drinks missing), parking, etc. Easy online interaction with staff Superb location A bit noisy due to proximity to street and locking mechanism of the doors The additional Kuhrtaxe for the region comes somehow as a surprize. It does not seem to be managed by the accomodation itself, but it maybe can be made more visible during the booking process

Tina (4/5): - Die Bilder auf Hotel.com stimmten nicht mit dem Appartment überein. Das Wohnzimmer war ungemütlich eingerichtet und dunkel. Die Fenster waren sehr schmutzig und mit Moos bewachsen. Das Frühstück war in einem anderen Hotel, was 20 min mit dem Auto entfernt ist.
Lars (2/5): Very poor - Nice and clean. beautiful location, good beds nice kitchen. Big car park. When we arrived (at 10 at night) the entrance system didn't work. We couldn't create a key for our room at the self check. There was no staff at the building to help. We called the number but no one responded. I had to call 7-8 times before someone would come over to let us in our room. It was past 11 pm when we could finally enter our room. They would fix the problem the next day but they didn't. We wanted to leave but were afraid we could enter again when we returned. Reaching someone during the day was even harder. We had to call 15 times and wait 3 hours before this was fixed. Calling al these German phone numbers costed me around 30€ and caused a bunch of stress. The accommodation is nice but is not worth all the stress around it. Would not recommend

Santosh (10/5): Good central place for family stay in the Schwarzwald region. - It was easy to get to the property it's by the main road. There was someone at the reception on the evening we arrived to hand over the room key card. The place was very clean and modern. The apartment has two bunk beds for the kids and an extra child bed. The kitchen is well equipped. The view from the apartment is very nice facing the mountains and forest. There is free WiFi which is quite good and there is Netflix app on the TV which is a nice addition.

Upon me texting the customer service and via booking.com we only received a message hours later. Julia (3/5): Disappointing stay - digital gone wrong - The property has potential The images are very misleading and the flat was actually not as open as light as displayed in the pictures. The property operated digitally only which isn't a problem if the iPad is working in reception but it wasn't. Also the house guide is not very comprehensive. It should entail more details about how to get new towels, how to leave the flat behind, etc. Just basic information. You can call a number or ask for WhatsApp support but it took them a week to get back on WhatsApp. By that point we were already back home. If you're planning to work there please be aware that the internet is very slow and there is no phone signal. It's a very remote location. Overall I expected more.

Although it is meant to be simple as it is self checkin, but for travellers who are not tech savvy, it can be very difficult. also it is difficult to contact the hosts on weekends or on off hours.. thus making it a very poor situation. For the property, I would recommend that they explain the self checkin process with detailed screenshots to avoid any confusions.

We came with our dog and the room was prepared with bools and treats, so, dog owners will love it. Fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable (and big) bed. In our room the internet didn’t work, for us was no problem but for someone who works from computer, could be.

Colette (7/5): Fine place for a last minute stay but won’t stay here again. - The location in the heart of the Black Forest was great for taking different day trips and hikes. We had a last minute problem with an Airbnb and were able to rent a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen here at the last minute, which saved my trip. The apartment was not entirely clean and we did not have a functioning coffee maker. Staff said they would get us a new one, but never did so we had to boil coffee in a pot.
Verified traveler (8/5): Great couples stay in the Black Forest! - Our experience in the Black Forest was fantastic! The room has all new appliances and kitchenware and it is completely pet friendly, I wish I had taken my cat with me! It would be 100% possible with an all wooden furniture. We were in the last room of the hall so the internet was very limited, but still it forced us to disconnect and it was extremely relaxing after all. The staff was super friendly and responsive, we got all the info and help we needed all the time. I will go back with my cat next time!

MarcelKauer (10/5): - Ein sehr schönes Haus mit grossen, hellen und schön eingerichteten Räumen. Man merkt deutlich, dass die schlimme Zeit aus den beiden vorangegangen Pächtern, die aus einer Not gesucht wegen mussten, schleunigst vom eigentlichen Team wieder aufgearbeitet wird. Die Zimmer nach hinten sind sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück wurde liebevoll einzeln für jedes Zimmer angerichtet (Corona lässt grüssen.....). Auf Wunsch werden Extras an den Tisch gebracht. Wir haben uns zu jeder Zeit wohl und umsorgt gefühlt. Wenn hoffentlich bald wieder auf den vollen Normalbetrieb umgestellt werden kann, wird es sich noch schöner. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
