Enjoyed the rooftop deck. I didn’t sample the food but they had a full bar menu. Beds firm but comfortable. Loves the look of the glass walled bathroom but from a sound perspective would have preferred a separate walled bathroom. Would like hair conditioner provided separate from shampoo. • BKK111 (10/5): Don’t miss this spectacular hotel - I chose Madinat to celebrate our anniversary based on reviews and design. From start to finish this hotel is both unique and very special. The photographs as good as they are don’t do it justice, in reality it’s even better. Our room was beautiful, the linens and towels were excellent quality. The amenities were excellent and the hotel left a gift in the room for us. Breakfast was amazing with a buffet AND an a la carte menu. The quality of all the food was 5*. We didn’t eat again until the evening. I can’t single out any member of staff for extra praise because every member of staff we met was absolutely lovely. I raised just one minor issue which was taken on board, real coffee should be supplied in the room, not instant coffee. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely return. Thank you everyone at Madinat.

And the two roof terraces were wonderful (and why I chose the hotel!) 1) The shower in my room was a shower in a big rectangular bathtub, and the shower curtain was on a metal semi-circular rod that wasn’t set far out enough so that it touched your body when you showered, which was really annoying. But the shower itself, both the overhead and hand-held, were great and with wonderful water pressure. 2) Although I loved the room I was not happy to have a wall of mirrors to see myself all the time! I found it disconcerting (and depressing 😂)

You can even have churro and chocolate . Buffet choice also excellent and their freshly squeezed orange juice is divine . In a great location . Only missing element for me was the furnishing in the room . Only one bedside table ? Lack of surfaces and storage and though the vintage mirrors fitted the aesthetic - they aren’t fit for purpose . The old door as headboard was not comfortable and there was a lot of noise from guests returning at night when staying on the ground floor . Nice view from the roof terrace . Expensive but lovely on the whole

• Lucie02 (8/5): Breakfast is a real highlight; boutique style hotel - This hotel is very well located in the historic area and near to main sights, yet it was quiet amongst a bustling city. Recommend getting a taxi from bus/train station (8 euros). We booked the hotel transfer on the return to the bus station, which was 18 euros (as it was presented as a little tricky for them to arrange a taxi to come near to the hotel for pick up). The outstanding aspect of our stay was the breakfast- buffet options as well as ‘to order’. The food is of high quality and varied treats on offer. Hotel has a small roof terrace. Beautiful patio area at reception. On arrival we were greeted with a complimentary drink and good advice on places to go/eat. It is recommended to book ahead if you are in Cordoba at weekends as restaurants are very busy - the hotel can assist. The room was on ground floor (not sure how quiet it would be if guests chose to sit in the patio area, but for us it was quiet). We did not book an accessible room, but this is what we were given. Wet room shower which needs some attention as the water did not drain well and nearly flowed into the wider bathroom; standing in water 2cm deep. Kettle needs replacing as exposed wires. Whilst I accept the hotel promotes its character, the quirkiness led to some poor aspects for general hotel comfort - lack of surface space, such as to put personal items and toiletries; lack of shelves/drawers for clothes. One side of the bed had only a chair and no bedside table, which was tricky for a cup of tea or alarm clock etc! There was unfortunately a strange and slightly unpleasant smell at one side of the room. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff were attentive and very friendly. The housekeeping was excellent. Overall, great location and excellent breakfast recommends this hotel

Our room (Albolafia) was great, Sunken bath on one side of the room, plenty of room for living. Nice lobby. Breakfast is worth the price. Buy it. The roof top sitting area is very nice. This hotel is tucked away in a neighborhood with narrow streets. Don't drive there. The hotel will arrange a cab from the train station. Enjoy the cab driver navigating the narrow passages and pedestrians scattering. It's about a ten minute walk to the main tourist area Nice restaurants are even closer.

The hotel is full of little details that makes you feel at home. Breakfast is very good too. The only downside is the paid parking around 300 meters away. Ask for a room not facing the narrow street. Friendly welcome, super lovely room, stylish decor, relaxed ambiance, great rooftop terraces and superb breakfast. But most of all the team at the Hotel were super good. Attentive but relaxed. Cordoba is an amazing place to spend a few days and was made by the fact that we lucked out by staying here. Thank you Christian and all of the Hotel Madinet team. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The breakfast was of surprise to us having a such a big selection and so deliciuos . It was very pleasant to sit over a glas of wine in the afternoon enjoying the fantastic view from the cosy Roof Bar.

• 304loum (10/5): Wonderful stay at the Hotel Madinat! - The room was spacious and the water pressure outstanding. Full mini-bar in fridge and complimentary coffee/tea with electric kettle in room. The breakfast was fabulous - many choices and everything was delicious. The rooftop terrace was a great place to sit and relax. The location is ideal - walking distance to Mezquita-Catedral and Alcazar (which was undergoing extensive reno during our visit). Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Staff was terrific - helpful with everything from ordering taxis to restaurant recs to walking directions.

The service is beyond expectations, very nice welcome and service throughout. The rooms are the perfect combination of calm, romantic, rustic and modern. Interior courtyard (hello Insta) and great breakfast. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Además, tienen detalles con los clientes que nos dejan enamorados. Es un poco difícil el tema del transporte, ya que los taxis no quieren llegar hasta esa zona, por lo difícil que es entrar a las calles para ellos. Y el tema del transporte es algo caro
