- Prashant (2/5): Stay became worse after staying in Ajanta Continental - Nothing about the hotel, only location was good TV was not working, No hot water for bath, no toilet paper in washroom, breakfast is having toast and paranthas only. Nothing was like as continental. Charging for water bottle (bottle price MRP was 20/- RS, but hotel changed 35/- Rs. plus gst extra), wifi signals are not there in hotel.

- Anuj (2/5): A Hotel in a Time Warp! - I chose this property because it had ample parking space. The only good thing about this property was it’s parking space. The rest of my experience was bad. It seems that the last time this property was refurbished/renovated was some time in the 1980s. The ambience, decor, feel, and everything else was dated. The owners have not bothered to keep pace with the changing times.
1. I paid 7.5k for my 2 night stay and didn’t even get clean towels.
2. The refrigerator in the room was unusable.
3. The dustbin didn’t even have any plastic bag.
4. There were several cracks in the floor and walls.
5. There were cracks even in the wash basin and toilet.
6. The bathroom ceiling was leaking.
7. There was inefficient light in the room.
8. The bathtub was not clean, unfit to use.
9. Basic amenities at this price point, such as a dental kit, we’re not provided.
10. Their restaurant menu was nothing but a notepad. I can tear off any page from it and nobody would get to know!
11. The restaurant was overpriced. I preferred to have my meals outside.
12. The Refidgerator was wired directly into the wall and the TV set had not plug, with its live wires hanging into the socket. A fire disaster waiting to happen!
The owners don’t really care for the customer experience. If they want to compete with nearby hotels, they must renovate immediately. Rajpur Road has several hotels, including Madhuban and Red Fox, among others. And I’ll prefer going to them the next time.

- Kunal (4/5): Disappointing breakfast, underwhelming stay - The hotel has been around for 30 years, so is well known and has a great location. Typically, you also knew what you were getting. Not modern facilities, but nice sized rooms and reliable service. I have stayed at the hotel on multiple occasions over the past twenty years, but this was my most disappointing stay ever. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. I had paid upfront for the breakfast inclusive tariff. However, on showing up to the restaurant, I found there was no breakfast spread with fruit, cereal, breads and jam, juice, etc. The only option available was eggs or Paratha. It was extremely disappointing. The room itself was fine since I wasn't planning of spending much time in the hotel, however, it seems it is time for the hotel to receive a refurbishment. Surprisingly the hotel was fairly empty on a weekend that is usually not that slow. Perhaps, the competition in Dehradun has overtaken Anjanta.
