- Ann (9/5): Great location. - The Garages have a beautiful setting and great location for our trip. We enjoyed the hot tub, and it was fun to be close to the waterfall. I think because of the publicity this property has received, the pricing is high. It was among the oldest of the Airbnb's we stayed in, but by far the most expensive, and other than the hot tub (only big enough for 4-5 at best) there were no other real amenities. No breakfast, kitchens, etc. After the stay (we had three rooms) we all commented that it was fine, but not a great value for the price we paid.

Afval van vorige gast was niet opgeruimd en koelkast lag ook nog van alles in. Alles redelijk schoon, maar oogt toch wat vermoeid. Locatie is wat kil en kaal.

- Lisa (4/5): Great host and location but unfortunately not clean - The location is so great, the host was wonderful and the dogs and cat are beyond cute Our apartment was not clean at all. The toilet has not been cleaned. Visibly. All the drawers in the kitchen were full of crumbs and dirt. My daughter walked around bare footed and ended up with a dried up contact lense stuck to her foot.

- Michaela (8/5): Unterkunft mit toller Aussicht und heissen Pool - Die Unterkunft ist gut gelegen und der persönliche Kontakt zu den Eigentümern, macht das es leicht sich wohl zu fühlen. Die Eigentümerin backt leckeren Kuchen. In der Küche hat man fast alles außer einem Geschirrspüler. Der Hot Pool ist toll. Wenn man was braucht, kann man sich leicht mit der Eigentümerin austauschen. Fenster etwas zügig. Das Dach war nicht richtig abgedichtet und es tropfte in unser Zimmer. Dafür für war es eigentlich zu teuer.
- Shookhoff (10/5): The Garage is an ideal place to stay as you travel through southern Iceland, along the Ring Road! - The hosts (Anna, Eynir and their son) went above and beyond to provide for guests. The delicious treats Anna had waiting in the reception area each afternoon and the plethora of kitchen supplies to borrow and use were unexpected and thoroughly appreciated! I couldn’t figure out how to put this in a rating, but the property (waterfall, surrounding beauty, coziness) was far better than we had originally imagined it and I would absolutely recommend this to friends, family and fellow travelers. Nothing.

Felix and Carney the dogs were very friendly ❤️ and kitchenette in our studio apartment had everything we needed. The main building had books and games to read and play. Il y a énormément de choses à disposition dans la cuisine commune ce qui est pratique et même une pâtisserie offerte par l’hôte. Le calme et la vue sont également un point fort. - Claudia (9/5): Schöne Unterkunft im Süden von Island - Wir hatten ein wunderschönes, geräumiges und bestens ausgestattetes Studio. Es verfügt über einen Kühlschrank und einen Herd, sodass man sich problemlos selbst versorgen kann. Am Esstisch lässt sich gemütlich frühstücken oder zu Abend essen – man ist also nicht darauf angewiesen, auswärts zu essen. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist traumhaft. Besonders nett fanden wir die tägliche Aufmerksamkeit der Gastgeber in Form von selbst gebackenen Keksen und Kuchen. Trotz der Nähe zur Ringstraße ist es angenehm ruhig. Die Lage ist ideal, um die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Umgebung zu erkunden. Ein besonderes Highlight war, dass wir nachts Polarlichter sehen konnten – dank der geringen Lichtverschmutzung ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Ein Punkt Abzug für die Sauberkeit im Küchenbereich und Badezimmer

La décoration était soigneusement réfléchie (même pour les petites souris 😉) Nous avions également accès à une multitude de jeux de société, à la cuisine principale et au bain à remous. Nous recommandons sans hésiter cet établissement

- Michela (10/5): Il soggiorno migliore della vacanza - TUTTO. L'appartamento era adorabile, accogliente pulito e molto bello, con alcuni dettagli che ho adorato. La signora è stata molto gentile e ci ha lasciato delle istruzioni estremamente precise oltre che dei biscotti fatti in casa buonissimi! Non abbiamo provato l'idromassaggio perché eravamo troppo stanchi ma abbiamo visto che era bello illuminato e vicino. C'era addirittura un macchinario per asciugare gli scarponcini, l'abbiamo usato ed è stato utilissimo! Alla reception c'erano anche dei giochi da tavolo disponibili per gli ospiti e un sacco di ingredienti per la cucina a disposizione. Nel giardino la mattina abbiamo salutato due cani meravigliosi, buoni e giocherelloni. Vorrei tantissimo tornarci!

Great story, beautiful place, excellent set-up with everything needed, lots of room, clearly both care and thought put into the very generous and comfortable facilities, and a stunning location (aurora from the porch!). As soon as we opened the door to our room, we wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended, can't wait to hopefully be back.

They let us check in early and even had some treats for us when we arrived. Everything was clean, the comforters were warm on a cold night, and the shower was nice and warm. The garage hotel room was cozy and cute. The decor was homey and even had some cute mice families that we shared our room with (toy stuffed mice of course). Their dog was friendly and walked with us up to the waterfall. Overall a very nice place to stay!

You can tell they’ve put a lot of effort into making this place a wonderful experience for guests—especially walking in and smelling fresh cinnamon rolls. The room was cozy and clean, and the surrounding area is very beautiful, with a hot tub to relax in and enjoy the view. Oh, and the two dogs were friendly and playful. It truly felt like home nestled in the corner of another country.

- TSUYU (9/5): Warm and great stay! Highly recommended to support local Iceland family business!! - Beyond our expectations & our favorite stay in Iceland 9-day trip. It’s a warm farm house and you feel like home immediately. The owner gives you the space but also very helpful when needed. With the daily nice fresh backed cake and board game, our little one was very happy during our stay. The outdoor jacuzzi was also great with magnificent mountain view. We also saw northern light one night right in front of our terrace and can see a small part of it from the room window. :) Special thanks to the possibility of using their professional/business washing machine & dryer for a reasonable fee. Our clothes get washed and dried within three hours. N/A.

The room was super comfortable, big and with comfortable beds. the kitchen was very well equipped. We arrived at night and there was a cake in the kitchen for the guests. La vue est exceptionnelle Lumière insuffisante sur la table à manger, manque un pot à eau, dommage que ce soit des lits twins au lieu d’un lit King size
- Kelly (10/5): - The hosts were so friendly and communicative. The rooms are cozy, roomy, and clean. There are also great little details like fresh baked goods, books and games to take/leave, and in room cooking amenities. The view is also stunning!

La chambre était un peu fraîche , aucune possibilité d'augmenter la chaleur. Le réfrigérateur était très petit, pas de bac à glaçons.

- Ivana (9/5): - The room was really spacious, nicely decorated and kitchen is equipped with everything one can need. The owner nicely present the surrounding with tips what is worth to visit, really helped us to find some not that touristy places. She even baked cake for all hosts! Possibility to warm up in the hot tub was great. We really enjoyed our stay! Just there could be some couch or armchairs, it would be wonderful to relax there on something more comfy than chairs.

- Jacqueline (10/5): Incredible views with a warm welcome - This hotel was adorable and the location absolutely stunning. The owners were very kind and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we had all the information we needed for a smooth stay. The hot tub was also a bonus.

- Jimmy (10/5): - Location, and great base camp point for the south coast. Multiple waterfalls nearby, Vik only 30 minute drive. Far away enough from town to get low light pollution at night. Would stay again and climb up to the waterfall hopefully the next time. Friendly staff and dogs to play with. Nothing comes to mind

- enio (9/5): - Posizione e atmosfera. Un blocco di casette posizionate sotto una piccola cascata e fronte lago. Peccato per un rumore di fondo che é stato presente tutta la notte e non ci ha permesso di godere a pieno il silenzio del posto. Non siamo riusciti a capire se provenisse da un ariatore del bagno della stanza di fianco alla nostra oppure di un condizionatore.
