Ming (2/5): - I had a terrible experience with Villa 12 Guesthouse. I traveled a long way from US to Swiss (Villa 12 is on the border between Swiss and France), and had to work on the arriving day, so I got at the Villa 12 Guesthouse around 8:30pm, that is very normal time for a hotel/Guesthouse check-in time. But to my surprise, the main Gate of the Villa 12 is tightly closed, and the guesthouse building looks dark, did not seem there were people living in it. I pushed the door bell for over 10 minutes and called the hotel number more than 3 times, did not get any response at all. I spoke "Hello.." loudly to the inside, 2 dogs came out barking at me, still no people came out. I asked the neighbor people who walking on the street, they all said they did not know this place is a hotel or guesthouse. At the end, I got the help from local people to find another nearby hotel, so that I could avoid to stay on street over night after an exhausted long day.
Verified traveler (8/5): A true Villa with beautiful garden - Great for night before the flight but you could also spend more time in Alsace as the garden is amazing to chill-out and the Villa has nice furniture
Jonathan (10/5): Great value for price. - Great location close to Basel airport and good value for price. Large rooms and hipster vibe. A good Italian restaurant around the corner.

Tom (10/5): A fine end to our Rhine Valley trip - We had a fantastic but unfortunately a very short experience at Villa 12, Raphael was a perfect and welcoming host. It was such a pity that we had a very early flight departure in the morning. This was an extremely interesting experience with surprises around every corner, we particularly enjoyed the luxurious "shared" bathroom on the 1st floor and as we were the only residents in that zone we had it all to ourselves! Some more positives: *Lidl Store just around the corner *Easy parking in the street outside *15 mins drive to the airport *Close to Basel and the Rhine If we'd been staying longer than one night I'm sure we would have enjoyed exploring the surrounding area

Bruno (2/5): Descriptif non conforme - J'ai réservé une "Superior Double Room" affichée à 82 € heureusement en prix secrets. J'ai ensuite reçu un mail de Villa 12 précisant que la salle de bain était commune, ce qui n'est pas précisé dans le descriptif de réservation.. Personne pour m'accueillir durant les heures précisées dans le mail. Pas de TV, un Wifi qui fonctionnait mal, un lit posé sur des palettes (avec certes un matelas épais). Pas d'éclairage dans l'allée menant à la villa, pas de parking possible. En conclusion, il y a beaucoup mieux pour moins cher.

They directed us to local shops restaurants and arrangef for a taxi to pick us up for the ride to our cruise in Basel Switzerland. There is an Aldis practically next door. Next door there is an excellent Chinese restaurant. Highly recommend.
