• Cathleen (8/5): A charming place perfectly located in bustling Roma. - Small, but charming The tiny shower was leaky. We tried often to prevent the leaks.
• Joanna (10/5): Private feel, exceptional location, great facilities - Excellent location; 5 mins from a stop for the hop-on-hop-off tour bus route which made it really easy to get around. 10min walk to Vatican City, 30min walk to Colleseum. Cafe on the corner, mini supermarket on the next street, great restaurant 1 minute away. Great communication from the host and very easy to access when we arrived; no waiting around for anyone, just able to let ourselves in and get on with our trip. Felt really safe and comfortable in the apartment; felt very private even though all 4 rooms were occupied - we didn’t see/hear any other guests the whole time we were there which made it feel more like a hotel than a shared guest house. Lovely shared kitchenette facilities with kettle and complementary hot drinks, mini hob, full size fridge, iron and board, and even thoughtful things to borrow for your trip if needed like umbrellas. Room was air-conditioned, bed was comfy, en-suite was perfect size and I was impressed by how soundproof the window was, and how blackout the blinds/window shutters made everything. Would definitely recommend! Nothing bad, just something to be aware of: The doorway into the apartment is slightly narrow - to be fair, it looks like a double doorway and I didn’t try to open the second door (couldn’t see how) but I’m a UK size 16 and only just managed to walk through the door without having to turn sideways so it felt like a little bit of a squeeze.

• Dylan (5/5): Misrepresentation of rooms. - The hotel is located very centrally to all major attractions within rome and is on a quieter street which was quite nice. The photos in the booking all specifically show a window that is open to the exterior. Once we checked in the room we were placed in was interior facing and the window faced a construction site with lights on 24/hrs a day. When I contacted property management that this was not previously disclosed and felt like false advertising I was told that they could not be held accountable for something outside the unit ( even though this was interior construction). When I asked for any type of discount due to this issue I was told I could check out if I wasn't happy.

• Sara (7/5): No está nada mal - La zona es muy buena, está cerca de prácticamente todos los lugares de interés turístico. El personal era amable y todo estaba muy limpio. La cama era bastante cómoda, algo que se agradece mucho. Las imágenes que vi aquí no se correspondían del todo con la habitación, que era muchísimo más pequeña y menos cuidada. No estaba mal en absoluto, pero no era lo que parecía que iba a ser. Creo que sería importante también que cuiden más los pequeños detalles, como poner botes de gel en otro recipiente que no sean botes de plástico reutilizados una y otra vez con las letras borradas, o que el difusor del secador no esté roto e inutilizable. El hotel realmente es un pequeño piso en el que se oye todo lo que ocurre fuera, por lo que cada vez que alguien abría la puerta de entrada o estaba por el pasillo, nos despertaba. Tienen por las paredes colgados premios de Booking que ganaron hace casi 10 años, lo cual creo que no sirve de nada si luego fallas en las cosas más simples.

• PeterM59 (3/5): Approdo in Italian; Landing Place, Destination, Endpoint. Revised: Landing in a Mess What a Cluster! - The location was very good and gave us access to all our planned visits. Close to a variety of cafes, trattorias, shopping and iconic monuments and locations to visit. The lady that did the maintenance was great, the managing agents could take lessons from her. The apartment is clean and tidy and well maintained. The room was listed as a triple room, bedroom, bathroom and what looked like a kitchenette, WRONG! It's a Bedroom and bathroom, the kitchenette is actually an entry hall and kitchenette shared between the apartments. The photos of the "Triple Room" are fraudulent and deceiving. The balcony as per the photos was there, what was not mentioned was that the internal part of the building that has the balcony is closed off and is a construction site repairing the balconies and other in this central part of the building, this work commenced in June / July, we booked in August, not a word of advice or notification. To add insult to injury I have included part of the response we received when we raised the construction going on: Response from the agent on Sunday night 12th October: "if you don't want to stay here you can move somewhere else and if you move by tomorrow morning 10am (check out time) we will refund you the next 2 nights." This is what goes down as customer service at the Approdo Ripetta. A flimsy curtain was all that was there to stop the construction lights that were on 24 hours a day every day and the noise of the work that commenced at 7AM. Check the Pics. Advertised and 2 actual. The room was lit up by these construction lights, we couldn't open the balcony doors to let fresh air in as the construction dust would come in. The fold out sofa "Fold-up bed" "Triple Room:1 sofa bed and1 queen bed", is a single bed that filled up the side of the room making it even smaller than it was. I would have given a 2 for the score except that the room was clean, the location was very good and mostly because of the lady that does the cleaning who was the only one that apologised for the construction and none of this was of her doing. Very disappointing considering the cost of the apartment in hindsight very overpriced, should have stayed in a hotel.

• ANDREW (5/5): Enjoyed Rome and it's sights. - Excellent location, just a short walk to some of the major tourist locations. Nice restaurants and cafes nearby . The room was clean and tidy. The only window in the room was covered over with scaffolding from the building work at the neighbouring property so there was no natural light in the room. During the day the building work was just outside our window and was very noisy. At night the builders used bright arc lights which made it difficult to sleep. If we had known this building work was happening during our stay, we would have probably booked elsewhere.

• Sarah (4/5): Sehr enttäuschend - Die Lage ist wirklich toll! Ich war leider sehr enttäuscht von meinem Aufenthalt. Die Unterkunft entspricht überhaupt nicht den Bildern auf Booking – diese sind sehr irreführend. Das Zimmer war winzig, kaum größer als eine Abstellkammer, und das Badezimmer war ebenfalls extrem klein. Es kam so gut wie kein Tageslicht hinein, und die gesamte Einrichtung wirkte sehr heruntergekommen. Überall hingen eingeschweißte Zettel, die zum Teil bereits verschimmelt waren, was einen sehr ungepflegten Eindruck machte. Im Badezimmer war ein Lüfter, der so laut war, dass man sein eigenes Wort kaum verstehen konnte. Die Dusche war so eng, dass man sich kaum bewegen konnte und es hat sehr stark nach Abfluss gestunken. Die Preis-Leistung ist absolut nicht zu empfehlen: Das Zimmer hat 208 € pro Nacht gekostet, ohne Frühstück oder sonstige Leistungen. Außerdem werden die Handtücher nur alle vier Tage gewechselt, was für diesen Preis wirklich unangebracht ist. Ich habe den Gastgeber vor Ort geschrieben, doch mir wurde lediglich gesagt, die Bilder würden der Realität entsprechen – was definitiv nicht der Fall ist. Insgesamt war ich sehr enttäuscht und würde diese Unterkunft nicht weiterempfehlen.

The rooms were very close to each other and every time someone came in and into their rooms the doors were loud. There is very steep stairs going to first floor, annoying with heavy luggage.

• Lila (9/5): Perfect location and amazing staff - The location is really amazing, so is the staff. The beds are okay and the water pressure in the shower is great! Overall it was really good !! The room was spacious but very little closet space, the AC had an issue on the first night but the staff made sure to correct it very quickly. The staff is very nice, this is great place.

I would recommend changing it! I would also recommend to offer shower soap (not only shampoo). It would be nice to make simple city maps available.
• Wang (9/5): A very good choice for tourists to Rome! - Location is super good. Most of the tourists attractions are reachable on foot (in 5-15 minutes). Staff are friendly, considerate and helpful. There is no reception so we must check in by ourselves. But it is not a very big problem.

They guide us from the moment of our reservation until the end of the journey. Also the bed were comfortable. We did not like the water pressure and the shower head was not functioning properly.

Owner asked us to pay city taxes only cash, its was uncomfortable, then we’ve agreed to send it to account. There were insects in bathroom and were not slippers.

It is not a hotel, but a room in an apartment. The negative sides : no privacy, weak isolation (you can hear what your neighbors are doing) and it is quite old (the photos are photoshopped in Booking).

• Amanda (9/5): Clean, kind staff, and within reasonable walking distance (10-35min) of so many historical sites! - It is within reasonable walking distance of so much - restaurants, cafés ('bars'), gelaterías, and historical sites. The room and building were clean and we felt safe the whole time. Staff was also kind! In the shower, it did seem like the drainage pipes weren't large enough to handle the volume of water the showerhead put out, so the bottom area filled up quickly and overflowed onto the bathroom floor. The drain was not clogged from what we could see.

• Rhoda (8/5): Lovely Rome Option in Relaxing Location - We had the best sleep with no street noises and really comfortable beds. It was nice to be able to make a tea or coffee in the kitchenette and help yourself to pastries! The cleaner cane daily and was a lovely lady and the owner was responsive to requests. It would have been nice to have a common lounge to chill out in rather than being stuck in your room. Our room was a bit smaller than others. Also, it was a 15 minute walk from the metro which was a little hard with a big suitcase on wheels.

Everything was made very easy for check in and out. We had a great time here and found the location to be perfect. The area was fairly quiet at night but lively in the day. Would definitely recommend. I think the only point for improvement in an otherwise wonderful stay is to make the room selection more obvious. I was a little surprised that our room wasn't what was in the images but then realised several rooms were pictured. This did not make our stay unpleasant in any way, I just think it would be great to give travellers the option or knowledge of where they are booking.

The room had a tiny balcony/window with all scaffolding outside it so almost no natural light. Mattress was saggy and needs to be replaced. Share kitchen/fridge was a bit of a mess and lacking facilities. Only one iron and ironing board to share between all the rooms.

• Stevan (10/5): Wonderful, comfortable, convenient, and great breakfasts! - Very convenient to most sights, great breakfasts, comfy beds, nice big bath tub, plenty of storage for clothes and luggage. Nice heavy blankets that made it easy for us to sleep :) at night walk right outside of the door and you are in major restaurants and night life. They set up our transfers and taxis, we thought this place was wonderful and would recommend to anyone and stay here again !

Room is small, two beds and a bathroom, but fine if you are just needing a place to rest. It was hard to locate and I had to ask numerous people where to find the accommodation. The directions provided were good, however coming from another country I found it hard to locate from the train station.
