- Kreg (10/5): Very comfortable room - Room was updated and modern with many extras. Staff was very helpful, super friendly, and thoughtful. The room was $80 less than closest competitor. Lots of thoughtful amenities went into the room from flower head shower to first aid kit to coffee and tea to doggie treats and tennis ball to huge flatscreen tv to remote control for heater/cooler to microwave and fridge with a separate freezer on top to toothbrushes to good smelling shampoo and conditioner. I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed with the attention to detail i everything. It was a painless checkin and checkout process with a dog park area.
- Erika (6/5): Decent Stay - It was pretty good and clean for a cheaply priced room but they definitely didn’t have soundproof rooms and a memory foam mattress like the details of the room said they did. We had the room with one queen bed. There also wasn’t a coffee maker in the room like places usually provide and there was a sign at the front desk saying coffee is provided from 7am-11am. It also wasn’t a problem for us but if someone’s needing to sleep during the day the curtains aren’t blackout curtains like they usually are so just some things to keep in mind

- Mark (6/5): Just some suggestions! - The room was ok, if i were to make suggestions, I would have to say bring a extension cord, there is a corner table but no light in that corner or plugin receptacles to place one on it. One of the bed lights had a non working USB port. In the bathroom there was a non working ceiling fan and a window that didn't open. The center of the bathroom floor had a high spot that the door kept catching on, would suggest they trim the bottom of the door to clear it. The shower enclosure is dated and should be replaced soon. The shower curtain almost touches the lip of the enclosure and some water was able to run out onto the tile floor. It looks as if the owners are trying to upgrade and it is better than some of the others that I have had the opportunity to stay in and if the owners corrected the small issues they would have a very nice facility there.
- ORIANA (6/5): - What I liked was that this unit has a full kitchen in it and it was very close to Chewelah park where we had our reunion. Everything in the unit was fairly clean, however In the bathroom, the fixtures were coming out of the wall in the shower area. The bathroom sink which was a pedestal sink was not at all fixed to the wall. That whole bathroom needs a re-do! The bed feels like a blow up mattress as well as the pillow. I will also mention that we were left with a quarter roll of toilet paper and a few sheets of paper towels. There wasn't anyone to call for more, we were able to ask the cleaning gal for some the next day. Also, please replace that couch....it has more lumps than a beginners gravy.

There was black mold in the shower, no table or chairs (so you have to eat, use your computer, or other tasks sitting on the bed). It took forever to get hot water. However, the beds were comfortable and the property manager was friendly and helpful. Hopefully this property will improve!

- David (10/5): - We were upgraded to the Cottage. A delightful bungelow with its own parking, well-stocked kitchen, and two very comfy beds. For those not cooking, there are nearby places to eat. We had a great breakfast at Monica's.
- Julie (4/5): Don't go - The website shows a lovely house, making believe that's where you would stay. Not true. The motel was less than flattering. Where to start. Floor was seeping some type of liquid, if your feet were wet. It was snowing, so our feet were wet. The bathroom has mold all around the walls and flooring of the shower. There was no hot water in the shower. There was thumping, and a very loud TV all night long in the room next door. Taylor is the owner and she said please forgive us, we are under renovation. Maybe they should have done a little more before opening the place to the public. In her defense she did try to help with the noise overnight. Sorry, we won't be back for $104 per night. There's a nice hotel just out of town, that we'll stay at next time my husband wants to ski with his friend.

- Paul (8/5): Great location for 49 North - The price was great for a 2 bedroom cottage that was pet friendly. The bedding and towels were clean. You could walk downtown. My only negative is that the surrounding area is a bit muddy. I believe there are new owners that are working on rehabing the property - so maybe it is on their 2 do list.

- Harold (6/5): - The heater was extraordinarily noisy, so we had to keep it off at night, and there were too many cleaning chemicals, which caused problems. Plus, we expected more of a kitchen. Still, it was very, very clean, and I like that respect. Nice mattress cover. All in all? Just fine for the price, but for the price one expects glitches.

- Richard (8/5): - Older looking hotel, but nice and clean inside the room. Checking in was easy and the staff were polite/ friendly. Easy walk to downtown as we were tired from riding our motorcycles. Parking is good. We played golf at the nearby golf course. Great course and they rent clubs!
- greg (10/5): - I think this place is a hidden little gem . Close to some great hiking spots and can easily walk to some really cute restaurants and the park often has little events.
- Mindy (8/5): - The grounds are well kept. It's quiet, and you can park right outside your door. The staff is kind and helpful. The room is cute and has a fridge, coffee pot, and microwave which helps. The bed and pillows are very comfortable! I want the bed! The shower inserts could definitely be updated, but I still felt comfortable using the shower. The room needed to be dusted and swept, but the bathroom and bed were clean.

The shower head was like 20 years old & must be clogged, tiny spritz of water spray everywhere. Just buy a new shower head so people can wash the soap off!!!!!
- Eugene (8/5): - Property is in a good location and is quiet. Chewellah is a nice small town and we did plenty of walking around town for exercise. Drawbacks of the property are lack of shelf space (bathroom, bedroom) and no chairs. I will stay there again when I'm in Chewellah.

- ORIANA (10/5): - Driving in to the property, it looked very sketchy dirty and ghetto. The lady at the front desk was pleasant and accommodating. We got our keys, opened the door and were shocked to find such a charming one bedroom apartment! It was tastefully decorated with a full kitchen. They also allow dogs for a fee which worked well for us. We were able to cook a pizza after our long trip and relax. Overall, the accommodations were great, the outside needs some work. I believe the front desk lady said the property is under new management.

- Edward (2/5): - We got there and there was a homeless couple unhooking all there stuff out of their car right across from the office, which looked closed, blinds drawn. Then at the other end of the property was all sorts of junk in the parking lot and a broken down rv/trailer something...and behind the property was all sorts of junky looking canopies. We left and found a different motel. Dreadful.

Great blackout curtains. Did not like: paper-thin walls with neighbors on both sides up early (3-4am) either to go fishing/hunting ot to watch TV; their voices & TV were easily heard until we turned on our room's AC fan, which worked well.

- Holly (6/5): Rooms are very dirty.... pee on bed cover!! - Well it all started when they checked us into a room athat wasnt propertly cleaned with no bathroom ventilation. They moves us to another room the next day...... we then moved to the room next door which i immediately noticed that it wasnt cleaned in several spots! The manager was right there and sent the housekeeper in. She cleaned only a few spots but missed eveeything important.... there was black mold on the cealing in the bathroom and yellow pee stains on the pillows and bed cover...... extremly gross...overall we were very unhappy with our stay and wish we would have known it was gonna be this was we qould have went somewhere else..... veey disappointed!! - Tina (8/5): - Ive stayed here a couple times because of the location to Mt. Rainier entry, the rooms are old but semi updated. You can hear everything from every room including the hallway. Kind of feels like you’re a guest at a house. WiFi is good, parking is great. Location to restaurants is not convenient unless your driving to them. What I’m amazed at each time I’ve gone the front desk people are always so unfriendly. Its not a deal breaker, but they truly look and act like they hate you and their job. Friendliness upon entry and exit is easy to provide.

The manager was OK, but a bit too talkative for weary travelers. the main problems we had were a shower that we couldn't get to work. We really wanted a shower after a long journey. We finally got it to work in the morning after a lot of pushing and pulling. The shower itself felt grimy. This is a very no frills place with no snacks, drinks or ice available. The room was depressing and our view consisted of rusted truck canopies. Our air conditioner was really noisy and there were lots of other strange noises that kept us awake.

- William (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay here. Room was good for the price and had a fridge, microwave, tv, internet, air conditioning. Staff was friendly, parking easy. The location is in town with a gas station, super market, pharmacy and a handful of great restaurants and coffee, all within walking distance.

- Rick (10/5): - Very nice people running the motel and Rv park Super clean great air conditioning and lots of plugins. Beds very comfortable ( too many pillows lol , ten plus the big one I brought)

- Jodi (10/5): - Staff is always welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are clean and spacious with amenities like coffee pot and coffee, water bottles and little snack bag of sweets . Best value for your money in the entire area!
- Timothy (10/5): - Incredible value. You get a mini fridge coffee maker, good size does good size TV. This is more than you usually get in a motel six for less money. The staff is friendly and genuinely interested in making sure you have a good stay and enjoy the area.
- Carolyn (10/5): - Close to several places to eat and nearby Safeway for shopping needs all within walking distance. Property was very well kept and staff was friendly and suggestions for places to eat or visit were welcome. Was a wonderful visit

- Verified traveler (8/5): Motel fit the Bill - Only needed a one night stay after golfing in a tournament at Chewelah Golf Course. The room was clean, bed comfortable. TV was hard to figure out, but maintenance did come to help fix the problem.

- James (6/5): - We were happy to talk to the reception staff and he explained all the sights etc. however the room was noisy and the area around was not welcoming at all.

Shower was not clean at all including inside shower and I took pics as proof as a just in case and as well the outside of shower with grime and grit and gross build up and not bleached and scrubbed in a very long time! The above matters to me LOTS! I paid 242 dollars CDN after tax for just two nights and when it should have easily been 160 CDN!, MAX! -Hardly any plug in outlets -Fridge BARELY kept cool, very minimal and on last leg -Tv was a nightmare as we could not just watch some live tv/sports and did not want to bother them at front desk on it as we were only there during the nights. Just streaming channels that froze up lots! I cannot say I will be returning sadly to report as was not pleased on the condition and time will only see it get even worse??? Time can only tell and the price was super heavy for what we got. They do a good job promoting other businesses in the area though, just not their own place sadly. Need much better clean up crews! And to fix the important things I have mentioned. May 2/3/4, 23.

- Wende (8/5): - It was a great experience for a roadside motel. Staff is friendly. Room was worn, but clean. Had a huge streaming tv, so bring your log-in information. It’s walking distance to the cute downtown and a quick drive to skiing.
- Julian (10/5): - For the cost of the room this place was a real find. The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower was incredibly powerful
