The hotel is very dated, our room was not of a good standard, floor tiles broken, missing grout, 13 floor tiles broken in our bathroom floor, mould visable all round the floor & wall tile junction, bedroom ceilings damaged due to old water ingress from roof which have not been repaired, the wardrobes are very old & should be replaced, a dead cockroach was in wardrobe, clearly the cleaning is substandard if they missed the dead cockroach.

The bed was extra comfy with extra pillows & blankets if required. Outdoor swimming pool, heated spa, comfortable seating area. Inside has a well stocked bar with Prosecco on tap & tea/ coffee also available. We had a meal 1 had salad which was freshly made others had ,1 fish & chips & 2 had the carbonara which was served piping hot & delicious. We also booked the evening’s entertainment which was brilliant.

In dire need of modernisation. We had a junior suite with very little amenities. Literally just a bed 1 bedside table and a wardrobe. No dressing area at all. Not enough water for a family of 4 to use. You have to wait 30 mins between showers. Rooms are not cleaned daily. Had to ask for fresh towels. Pet parrots are noisy early morning.

- S8015RScherylb (6/5): Average probably won’t use again - Book 3 nights recently through Expedia paid extra for a standard suite but was given a disabled room which had 2 bedrooms one of which did not have any working lighting the bedroom we used had only one bedside table a fitted wardrobe and no other furniture so had to sit on bed which was very low to the floor ,the bathroom was large which consisted of a wet room area a toilet with a loose unstable seat the sink had no shelf for toiletries and had to work off the floor , during our stay it wasn’t serviced once although I complained on day two and this made no difference had to get tea / coffee supples from the bar I noticed several guests doing this. Staff were pleasant enough food was average but reasonable priced entertainment variable some good some fair. Overall Hotel Algorfa is cheap & cheerful pitched at the right price

The food was so good - the fish batter was crispy and the cod didn’t have any bones and the chips were super chunky and cooked perfectly. Thanks for a great night. The staff were all super friendly and attentive making sure that we were ok all night long. We will return next time we are here! Love lisa and daryl xxx

El hotel esta hecho pa guiris y si eres español no te aconsejo que vayas por que te van a mirar mal

- philip (8/5): - OK for 1 night when visiting the area. The rooms had been painted. But lots not finished off tidy. But that didn't spoil it . Just need sorting out. The curtains need a frill on the bottom as they are about 10 inches too sort for the patio door. Another thing yhst didn't spoil the sray. Just needs looking at. The shower in thd bathroom was spraying everywhere and the whole wet room gor soaking . My clothes waiting for me to put on . My slippers were soaking . The toilet roll all got wet. The shower head need renewing. But the wet room was big with a high toilet with hand rail. A hand rail was also near the shower. Ideal as I had a new knee.aircon was good in January. Nice little restaurant onside. Good prices.

- John (9/5): Great time had by all of us. - Staff could not do to much for you, always friendly and helpful. Had a great New Year evening with lots of food, drinks and entertainment well worth the cost of the evening. A lovely full English breakfast the next morning to help with the effect from the previous evening! Could do with a little more attention to the small points, such as repairs to wall sockets, etc.
- mateo valls (6/5): - La piscina y que la habitación tuviera terraza El aire acondicionado no iba muy bien. Las tuberías olían un poco mal, entonces la habitación no olía muy bien. En la zona de la terraza había unos loros que no dejaban descansar. No hay mucho personal que hable español entonces es difícil comunicarse. La ducha no tenía mampara entonces cuando te duchabas mojabas todo el baño.

- David (9/5): Short stay mid week. - Great price, nice sized room and good UK tv choice.Very comfortable bed, we had great sleeps both nights. Excellent shower pressure. Staff very helpful. Well equipped, modern gym. Pool area looks nice, but too cold in December for us to try. Plenty of parking. Always something happening in the bar during the evening. Parrots can be noisy. USB sockets would be nice.
- Smith (8/5): Good value and would stop there again. - Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had to wait for over an hour to check in. We know we were there at 14.45 when check in is from 15.00 but to have to wait till 16.10 was ridiculous.

It was very friendly & great value for money. - The family who run the hotel, and all their staff, were really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment we saw was fabulous. We danced all night to a Cher tribute act. Monday night was a games night which was loads of fun. It was music bingo, Play your cards right, Bullseye, etc. Loved the views of the mountains and beautiful sunsets. It was fine for us as we had hired a car, but the hotel is in a difficult location if you have no transport. There are a few bars and restaurants about 15 minutes walk away, but that is all. It is difficult if you just want to go out for a walk from there. There are cycle tracks but not really pavements.

- Ursulafelmo (2/5): Not advised to go - Was advised this was a great place to eat well it wasn’t for us the service was very poor staff walking around not interested in the clients staff very poorly dressed kitchen staff looked like they needed a good wash presentation of restaurant none existent tables bare of place mats or cutlery and the food was hardly edible all of it was Cold the only thing warm was the plates although we did book a table late we were not advised the food was only served till 5 pm I never put a bad review on here but felt it was necessary to let people be aware

- ianc312 (8/5): Good value - Attended for the Sunday carvery with 8 friends. Found the venue to be clean and welcoming. Carvery was served at 1pm, food was plentiful, hot and well prepared. We took our time and admired the views across the valley. Overall - good value for money. I would certainly go back.

Did not stay and immediately cancelled our booking - still waiting on a response from the hotel - When we arrived the hotel room we were placed in was not the room that we had booked see specifically chose a two bedroom property. The hotel informed us our room was not available and clean for us to check in so gave us a smaller room. Outlining the double bed listed was the sofa bed for a week stay! We asked immediately for a full refund and the hot could not support. As of now it has been 2 weeks without any response from the hotel on the matter. The management and cleanliness of the property was very poor

- Patricia (8/5): Een goede "Engelse" ervaring - Het bijna dagelijkse(avonden) entertainment, dat echt wel gezellig en heel leuk is !! De muziek bingo, het muziek door verschillende goede zangers , de karaoke ,verschillende aangeboden maaltijden.."Meat" (echt heel goed👍), de tapas, de "carvery". Wel een beetje de Ara's. Het zijn prachtige vogels in een mooi en verzorgde vogeliere.. maar ze zijn enorm luidruchtig, vanaf s'morgens en s'middags, dus een siësta is ook uitgesloten. De ara's worden enorm goed verzorgd en vertroeteld👍
- fionacu2003 (2/5): Terrible customer service - Booked Sunday carvery 4 days in advance. Told it finished at 5pm so booked for 4pm. Arrived after a 30 minute drive, shown to our table, drinks order taken. Waitress said she would get our tickets. On return she said no more carvery it is finished. I stressed to her we had booked in advance and it didn't finish till 5pm and we were booked for 4pm which it was. No she said finished..I again complained asked for the manager and she shook her head finished! On return home I contacted them again, saying we booked days in advance, drove 30 minutes and a week later still no response and they have read the message..very bad customer service.

- Viennatrip1 (2/5): Dreadful experience! - We had a dreadful experience at the restaurant. The service was chaotic, there were not enough staff, and the staff they had were all over the place. No system in place at all. The man at the carvery was constantly disappearing for more plates or more supplies, which made the service even worse. No system for top of veg etc. Would not recommend at all!!

- SailorboyFreehouse (8/5): Sunday Lunch - Went here for Sunday Lunch, 4 of us. Service is a bit slow. They had been busy because the tables weren't cleaned, but they cleaned them, once we asked. The buffet, for Sunday Lunch was left in a bit of a mess and had to wait for everything to be replenished, (only about 15 minutes) but, it was fantastic, really enjoyed the food, hot, lots, the meat (beef and pork) gravy to die for. Well done, will be back 😋

We sat down and waited over 20 minutes without being served, despite the fact that the waitress clearly saw us several times. Not even a drink order was taken. In the end, we gave up, got up, and went elsewhere. Very poor service.

- S6484VDpatg (4/5): Disappointed - Went for Sunday carvery, 8 of us, as we had been before and had great expectations. Took 20 minutes before we got a drink, after one of us got up and found a waitress. Managed to order our food, it took nearly an hour for the starters to appear, again we had to go and ask where they were. Those that had the soup found it luke warm..We obviously could see they were understaffed for the amount of people in so didnt complain. Went up for the carvery and told to wait 10 minutes for roast potatoes, the fresh yorkshire pudding came while we waited, that was a bonus. Waited another 30+ minutes for our desert, one of our party went to ask and they said they on the way. Another 15 minutes later we went up to the bar again to cancel our deserts to be told they here. They came with squirty cream which we had said none of us wanted/liked ( told there was no custard as no electric in the kitchen to boil the water when we ordered) so chose pouring cream. They replaced the deserts almost immediately. We went to the till to get the bill as we had been there long enough. Shame as we all realise staffing problems could be to blame. If no electric in the kitchen , how did they try and warm the soup...??

- Lynne (1/5): A night to forget. - Location 1st room we were given had a horrible smell in bathroom, when we went to dinner we couldn't lock the door!!! Went to reception and a nice lad came and tried the door but could not lock it either so moved us to a slightly better room. No mirrors anywhere except in bathroom air diffuser was bone dry and air con controls in one of the rooms did not work at all. Very stark rooms with no character at all. Noise from bar till late and kids running around slamming doors. Also noisy parrot kept by pool screeching. Very disappointed with stay. Food poor value for money.
