- Kord (9/5): - Great room, great location, many nearby restaurants in a short walk nearby. Parking was $30 in a garage across the street - inconvenient and too expensive. Valet parking of $40+ not appropriate for this type of property. AC can do better here.
- 741olivere (2/5): Horrible customer service - Arrived at 10:00 PM on a Monday night as a walk-in guest. The online rate displayed at the time was not honored, and instead of any attempt to accommodate or explain professionally, the front desk supervisor responded with visible attitude and resistance. When I decided to proceed and simply pay the rate presented at the desk, I was then told I could not use contactless payment to check in—despite Apple Maps and Google both clearly listing contactless pay as an accepted form of payment at this property. This is misleading at best and deceptive at worst. By 10:40 PM, I was left scrambling to find alternative accommodations due to policies that were inconsistently communicated and poorly handled. Hospitality was nonexistent, and problem-solving was clearly not a priority. The experience was absolutely unacceptable. Whatever reputation or employment prestige this building believes it carries is meaningless when basic guest service fails this badly. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere—do not stay here.

- goriajk (10/5): ALS UNITED ORANGE CO. “WALK AGAINST ALS” EVENT - Room #640. Great Location, East Access to PARK PLACE - I was lucky to receive a redemption voucher (Thank You, AMEX and Bonvoy) for one night stay here at AC Hotel Irvine. It’s located right next to a residential complex and PARK PLACE, where the annual ALS UNITED OC Walk was held on Saturday morning, November 1st, 2025. I checked in after work on Friday, Oct. 31, as the front desk staff laid out plenty of yummy candies as it was Halloween night. “Dominic” at the front desk checked me in, and was extremely friendly and supportive. He got my request ‘spot on’ right, the top floor (6th) with a nice two double bedded room with a nice view. ACE Parking handled the valet, and allowed me to stay where I was parked in the Handicap area in front overnight at a rate of $30 instead of $42, due to my mobility issues. Self Park was in a separate lot further away, so I appreciated their service. The access to room was easy, and the room itself was nice, clean and modern. I got the 4pm checkout per Bonvoy Platinum as I would have to come back to the room to desuit and pack after the walk ended at 1:30pm. Being in fursuit for the walk meant I would need to come back to desuit and shower before packing to leave. Location was ideal, I could suit up in partial and simply walk up the pathway onto the PARK PLACE premises. I loved it, because I didn’t need to move my car, and I could dress in my room for the most part, instead of doing it in the fursuit tent at the walk. I kept my bearhead off to put it on at the tent. It was much more relaxed and it worked out great. The walk itself was fantastic, as we honored our late friend and Furry Tony “Dogbomb” Barrett with 10 other Furries. We raised $7500 this year - in a challenging year for fundraising, it was quite satisfying. After we completed the walk and enjoyed the lunch provided by the organization, we said goodbye to our friends in TEAM TONY and along with my friend Adam (who came Sat morning at 6am and stayed in the room for part of the time) we both walked back the pathway next door to AC Hotel. Not even four mins went by, and we were back in the lobby. I will MOST DEFINITELY return to AC Hotel next year before ALSUOC “Walk Against ALS 2026”. FIVE CLAWS UP HIGH!! - HongKongMarvin (10/5): beautiful with a few quirks - very designy. excellent location. many restaurants and coffee within a 5 minute walk. my only complaint is the design looks great but misses in a few key functions; the sink splashes all over your clothes, the black out curtains don't end in a pocket so you get a two inch beam of sunrise, and a bunch of other little stuff that prioritized design over function (ie seating). other than that I would stay again... but Marriott needs to mature in the design department.

- Julieann (6/5): - I've stayed here several times with work. This last visit I was a little frustrated because I was charged for a water when I had not purchased one. When I called to have the charge removed I was told that it would be refunded back to my card but it never was.
- shanem964 (2/5): AC clearly doesn't stand for Air Conditioning - Room cleanliness and subpar AC unit made thee stay here not worth the cost. It's in a great location, but I value a clean cool room over many other things. I was greeted with a large toe nail as I stepped from my shoes bare foot on to the floor under the edge of the bed. While kind enough to clean the room again, the damaged was done. The AC seemed to turn itself off at night and the room became warmer than I expected. Thus a sleepy, sweaty, unhappy work day started.

The location is also fantastic: cross-the-street access to good restaurants, close to Newport Beach, and right on the 405 for easy commuting. Big thanks to Ms. Sherri, one of the housekeeping staff, who left sweet notes for our son next to his gently arranged stuffed animals on the bed each morning. It made him feel so special.

- circletheworld642 (2/5): Terrible Experience – Stolen Heirloom, Poor Communication, No Accountability. So disappointed I stayed here. - I had a heartbreaking experience at the AC Hotel Irvine. We were traveling here for a black tie wedding. Upon checkout, I accidentally left a very expensive heirloom bracelet and a special anniversary watch on the bed – items I had just taken out of the room safe. These were deeply sentimental, especially the bracelet which belonged to my late mother-in-law and was something I was wearing to a wedding. I called and described them in detail. The front desk staff was relatively unhelpful from the start. Nothing reported or turned in by housekeeping. Barely attempted to look or try. So my husband called again yesterday. Nada. Then, I received a call saying the bracelet had been found!!! I was in tears, relieved and overjoyed. It was hiding in the corner of the office. I knew it was there all along ….and was bawling with joy. Then, just 30 minutes later, they called back to say, “Sorry, never mind, we didn’t find it.” Absolutely devastating. How does this mistake happen?? They promised a manager would call me. No one ever did. I’ve since filed a police report. Ms. Hunter, the property manager, has not followed up and seems unable to maintain a trustworthy housekeeping staff or communicate with guests in a professional way. I would strongly advise against staying here. The lack of integrity, follow-through, and compassion was truly shocking. A deeply disappointing experience from what should be a reputable hotel.

- I7603PHmichaelt (10/5): AC Irvine and Valet - Franco is the best valet ever! The AC hotel in Irvine is my go when traveling to the area. The hotel staff is amazing and the rooms are always perfect. There are great restaurant options you can walk too for every type of cuisine. The Hotel restaurant is fantastic and they have live entertainment most nights.

The main issue I had was that the WiFi in the hotel was not very good - the connection was regularly dropping, the speed of the WiFi was not very good. GIven that so many people stay there for business, this is quite an important thing.

- JasonY1687 (2/5): Poor quality property with horrible WiFi - Middling hotel with thin walls where you’ll hear the next room even when they’re speaking at a normal volume, poorly equipped rooms and property (e.g. not a single umbrella available so I got soaked on a rainy day), and most importantly, extremely poor quality and unreliable WiFi. The WiFi was the biggest issue for me, particularly for what is a business hotel (does anyone go to Irvine for pleasure?). WiFi and internet access was start stop with regularity, and you could count on not being able to access WhatsApp or do an internet searches consistently.

- Nicholas (10/5): Great hotel all around - I've stayed here 4 times and it has never disappointed. Great area - lots of dining options across the street and 2 minutes from SNA. One thing to note is that there is a very busy shopping center across the street - which is great for convenience but it also means early morning noise from delivery/garbage trucks etc.

- Compass54959358886 (10/5): The place to stay. - Great place to stay. Pool, gym and a breakfast buffet. Convenient location. Connected to a restaurant and waking distance to several other choices to eat. The staff is great and the bartender Anna is amazing!! Having a place to gather at the end of the day and enjoy a drink is awesome.

- Ipek (7/5): Good - The location was great, and the staff were amazing—everyone was so helpful and friendly. The cleaning was not up to standard. When I arrived at the hotel, I noticed hair on the towels. Fortunately, I brought my own towels, so I didn’t have to use the hotel ones.

- Ayako (1/5): Price has to be less than half price that they offered. Can’t believe their price is higher than Hyatt regency… - Stuff members were so bad. They don’t even smile to customers and don’t have any respects. They couldn’t do one simple tusk which I asked to bring the some amenities and never shown up. Even they charged us early departure fees which I have never agreed on. The room is clean but very minimal for every equipments. I wouldn’t recommend any people to this hotel.
- doronr2025 (10/5): Hidden Gem Of Irvine Hotels - The hotel is in a great location, extremely clean, and well priced. The hotel bar/restaurant is amazing with a fantastic hostess, Anna. She's extremely friendly, professional, and somehow manages the boutique restaurant single-handedly. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone.

She has created a warm and inviting environment! I travel to this hotel for business. They have made AC Hotel a home like atmosphere. I always tell business travelers AC hotel Irvine is the best!

- Anna (10/5): - The hotel and staff itself was great! It was our first time traveling with our little dogs and the hotel was perfect for it. We did self parking and the valet staff that validated our tickets were so kind and friendly. Our only thing we didn’t love was the paid parking and the distance from the garage to the hotel….that being said, we knew all of that prior to booking so not really a complaint.

We had left a pair of earrings on the nightstand upon checkout we went back to the room which was immediately cleaned (30 minutes gap) Hotel staff not very helpful and were very condescending. They explained they have a lot of high end clientele that stay here Mx
- Emmanuel (6/5): - The property and staff were great! I loved all the dining around the area. Parking options were close and nice. The issue I have with this property is regarding the bathroom fans. The fans are loud and stay on "all the time" - I turned off the AC thinking it was making the noise, but I continued to hear the loud noise. It kept me up all night and I found it hard to sleep. The bathroom door is a sliding glass door which does nothing for sound-proofing that nonstop fan. If you are a light sleeper or need silence to sleep, this is not the place.

- Minh (10/5): - David who works during the graveyard shift was very accommodating and helped out a lot. The staff was very friendly and understanding when I wanted to stay a few more nights.
- Vijay (10/5): - AC Hotel is located in active neighborhood with good restaurants/shops and decent access to airport and other sites. The hotel itself is clean, well maintained and the staff very helpful. Rooms are large and well furnished. Minor shortcomings were soft mattress and lack of drawers for clothes.
- Miguel (8/5): - I picked this hotel because it was close to the airport and had a Tesla charging station in the parking garage. Overall I enjoyed my stayed but the room floor was a bit dirty as if it hadn’t been vaccumed. Other than that it was nice. Great dining options too.

- STEPAN (2/5): - Booked a balcony room but when I got there I found out I was scammed. Spoke to the manager Dominick and his best solution was “I can cancel your reservation if you’d like.” Ohh really, cancel an order different from what I placed? What a favor! Solid customer service. I only stayed because I didn’t have a choice in that moment. Make sure to verify everything they claim, they will lie through their teeth if you give them the opportunity. Go here if you’re into this kind of service.
- Tamara (10/5): - Perfect location for us while visiting our daughter. We travel with 2 dogs and property us very dog friendly. Plus the hard surface floors gave me extra confidence in the cleanliness of the room, with no scent for my dogs to pick up. Staff is friendly. Convenient and close parking garage. Reasonably priced.
- Di (1/5): Poor service, disappointing experience, and dishonest staff—completely below expectations. - We stayed at this hotel for two days, but our room was not cleaned even once during our stay, which was very disappointing. While the hotel does provide complimentary bottled water, we encountered an issue upon checking out. I noticed a storage room near the front desk with several boxes of bottled water. However, when we asked the staff for a bottle, they denied having any and falsely claimed there was none available. This level of dishonesty and lack of basic service is unacceptable and has left a very negative impression of this hotel.

- Quinton (2/5): - Locked out of rooms for 2 nights as promised the lock would be fixed the first time after brought to their attention. Tv didn’t work the first night someone was supposed to come by 8am and didn’t until we made phone call and had to replace the tv with a new one. Key cards barely work in elevators. Was charged all nights for valet when only valet one night and let the front desk know that if I don’t valet after this night will I still be charged and it showed up all nights on the bill.
