- Frank (7/5): I would return here - friendly personnel breakfast was really very basic
- Ejder (10/5): I went to Algeria as a visitor. It is a different country... - The location of the hotel is best. The metro station is very near, internet connection is quite fast, hotel is clean and my room is big and clean as well. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. I was very happy staying at the hotel. There are many stores and restaurants around the hotel. Location is good. From my side everything was positive and well.

- tenthlisten (6/5): Great Location but Basic Breakfast and Rooms - The best thing about this hotel is its location in the city center. I don't think that parking is available as our drivers had to drive around the block and pick us up from the front door. There is a flight of stairs between the front door and reception and another flight of stairs to the first floor, then one reaches an elevator for access to the upper floors. Breakfast was quite basic and included a coffee machine.
I stayed in two rooms during my visit to Algiers. Both rooms were very small and had broken temperature controls. The showerhead in one wouldn't stay upright, but the shower during my second stay was fine. Staff was friendly overall, especially the male receptionist working in the afternoon. The Wi-Fi was hit-or-miss (i.e., it worked when I went to bed but was disconnected by the time I woke). I wouldn't enthusiastically recommend this hotel, but it's decent if you're looking for something within budget and within walking distance of some key sights.

- laura (9/5): - conveniently located, very clean and comfortable. extremely kind personnel.
- OanaM (10/5): - Great location, walking distance from Agha rail station, which takes you to the airport in 20 minutes. There are lots of things to see around, also walking distance. Lots of shops and restaurants too.
Room is big and clean - as expected for the higher price you pay compared to other options around. Such a shame that a big building is under construction just in front of this hotel. It takes away the beautiful view to the sea and also the light coming into the room.
Special thanks to the people at reception- very nice, friendly amd welcoming.
- Explorer37313133529 (2/5): Theft during the stay - We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and I was robbed of 120 euros while we were out. The room had a safe but it didn't work. We notified the hotel manager who neither resolved the situation nor offered compensation !
- S1883SDantoineb (2/5): VOL D'ARGENT!!! / MONEY STEALING!!! - LIRE ABSOLUMENT VOL D'ARGENT!!! / READ BEFORE BOOKING MONEY STEALING DON'T BOOK A ROOM THERE!!! My friend and I stayed in the hotel in early October 2025 for 3 nights. I noticed when leaving the hotel that 350€ was missing in my wallet. My wallet and all my money stayed in the hotel room for the whole stay, we are convinced our money was stolen by the cleaning ladies. On top of that, the locker was broken so I couldn't use it. When confronting the staff, they denied the situation, said they made an investigation but then came back to us saying they couldn't find anything and it's probably our fault and that we "lost the money". This situation is infuriating knowing that my money was hidden in my bag, meaning someone searched into it.
- Magdalena (10/5): - Everything was absolutely perfect. Professional staff, excellent location, good breakfast, spacious and very clean room. I highly recommend.
- OnwardTraveller (8/5): Nice little centrally located hotel - Nice little centrally located hotel. Basic rooms and facilities: we had to ask for glasses, a kettle and towels, all provided with a smile. Reception staff were helpful throughout especially Yazid on the evening shift. We were even given a complimentary breakfast on our final day. We don’t think they get many English visitors (this is Algeria!) so an opportunity to test out English speaking too which we found was good throughout.

- Passport36859660780 (2/5): DO NOT BOOK READ FIRST - DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL – Traumatizing Experience
PLS READ BEFORE BOOKING!!!!!!!!
We had a truly awful and distressing experience at this hotel and strongly urge others not to book. We are three women from England and had a confirmed reservation, but the receptionist was immediately rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. He claimed he couldn’t find our booking and offered no help or explanation whatsoever.
After feeling uncomfortable with how we were being treated, we decided to sit down and look for another place to stay. When he realized we had chosen to book elsewhere, he became aggressive and started shouting at us. Shockingly, he left the front desk and came around to confront us directly, continuing to shout in an intimidating and threatening manner.
This behavior was deeply frightening and left us shaken and traumatised. As three women alone, in a foreign country, we felt completely unsafe and disrespected.
Additionally, the hotel is very inconvenient to access, with a long staircase that’s difficult to manage if you have luggage.
This was one of the most unprofessional and upsetting experiences we’ve ever had while traveling. Please do not book this hotel
- Niandong (7/5): Okay location. - Location Overcharging bottle water. Mosquitoes.
- Hana (7/5): Good -
- Alexander (8/5): Decent hotel in a fairly central Algiers location. - Pretty decent location ten minutes' walk or so from Agha station and fifteen or twenty minutes from Grande Poste. Good-natured reception staff who speak some English as well as French. Really quite large rooms. It's a shame that breakfast wasn't included in the price. Shower could have been more forceful. Lift was ridiculously small - even two of us found it cramped with luggage! However, no serious reservations.
- BengtH229 (4/5): OK place to stay but don’t trust them with taxi rides - Great location, decent rooms, decent breakfast. What detracts is a blocked sink in the bathroom and attempts at overcharging us for getting us a taxi to Agha train station which is only 600 m. The hotel guy wanted 6000 dinars (from the airport 40 min away we paid 2000 dinars). We didn’t get the price until the taxi had arrived so there was unnecessary drama when we refused and decided to walk instead
- Toan (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (8/5): Very clean small hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location. - Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean small hotel. Nothing to complain about - was very well situated for Agha train station (10 mins walk) for train to Oran. Plenty of places to eat locally. Nothing to complain about - was very well situated for Agha train station (10 mins walk) for train to Oran, which was our main destination. Plenty of nice places to eat locally. We enjoyed our stay here.
- Mourad (7/5): Good -
- Mark (7/5): Excellent small clean hotel with very friendly staff. - Location was great for its proximity to Agha railway station for trains to Oran. Staff were very welcoming, and helpful. Nothing to dislike. Hotel was basic but comfortable and very clean.
- Sean (8/5): Good value hotel in amazing location of Algiers. - Rooms were clean, location was amazing, staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was decent, nice bathroom. Beds weren’t the most comfortable.
- Yazid (9/5): Superb -
- eliayk2016 (2/5): Don’t bother ! - Accessibility Challenges:lack of a direct lift from reception to Level 1 posed difficulties. Navigating numerous stairs with luggage was tough & no help was offered by staff. Checking out was especially arduous due to the absence of assistance, even though 4 man were standing around!
The room was clean yet extremely small. Breakfast was basic, with limited options & there were mosquitoes. Amenities were lacking; only one water bottle was provided for a two-day stay, empty mini fridge.
Hotel is well-located near downtown, with convenient access. The staff were generally friendly & helpful, although support diminished during checkout. Cleanliness was excellent.
Would I stay here again, no!
- Gabriele (10/5): If I come back to algers, I’ll definitely come again to city hotel algers - The room was amazing and the guys great Nothing
- Jacek (7/5): Great location - Great location, nice staff, rooms are ok Rooms need improvement
They don't help in changing money
- Maxine (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, easy walking to centre and casbah.
- bluebay06 (6/5): Decent inexpensive hotel in the center - We spent 2 nights in different weeks in this hotel and both times the check in was easy and in English (the first night even in Italian). The staff at the reception was kind and very friendly. Unfortunately, to reach the small reception from the street you have to climb a flight of stairs with your suitcases. The same goes for reaching the small elevator located one floor above the reception. The rooms are good and clean although the towels and water bottles were both times for one person even though the reservation was for two, problem solved with two phone calls. The wifi worked well. Breakfast is buffet, but the choice is limited. Even though it was November there were mosquitoes especially in the reception and in the breakfast room. Unexpensive this hotel is without a doubt a good solution if you use it like us to spend the night and you don't have problems if something is not managed perfectly.
- Johannis (9/5): Recommended. - The room was spacious and clean with a big comfortable bed. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful
- Kevin (10/5): Good location for the metro, would definitely recommend this hotel. - Very clean, good location, nice staff speaking English. Room had a balcony overlooking the street and the sea in the distance. Was all good
- Elliot (9/5): Superb -
- Anton (6/5): Pleasant -
- Belaid (8/5): Very good -
- Ali (5/5): Passable -
- Yazid (9/5): Superb -
- Abdelghani (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michal (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gokhan (8/5): Very good - Room is big compare to similar hotels. Breakfast was weak, but comes with a good coffee. Most importantly, it's a clean hotel, no bugs around. Location is good, near to Kasaba, taxis are passing on the street, so easily available. Overall I am satisfied. Hotel is on the busy street, till midnight there is noise, sound insulation is required on the balcony door.
Taxi drivers are opportunistic, they don't use taximeter, ones they understand you are foreigner, they ask double, even triple price.
- Aimie13 (8/5): Very good -
- Jerome (7/5): A solid lodging option in Algiers - Comfortable hotel well situated close to Algier's main attractions. Staff was uneven, some very welcoming and friendly, others not so much. Breakfast barebone due to Ramadan.
- Paul (8/5): Great first Algeria experience - Location was great, staff very kind, large room, clean
- Laura (7/5): Good - Central location
Very friendly staff
- Yacine (9/5): Superb -
- Khadidja (7/5): Good -
- Amira (2/5): No going back there again. - The location The staff were so rude
- Hébert (10/5): Friendly - Staff very friendly and perfect location to move around the city
- Hana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dorte (8/5): Good position close to the railway station Agha. - We stayed 2x2 nights. The first two nights we had a superior room with balcony (which was very dirty).
The first two days we had breakfast, which was basic and the restaurant rather small. The first morning we sat in a comfortable corner, but the next day we were not allowed to sit there - we were told it was a waiting area, but nobody used it. That’s why we did not have breakfast the last two days, where we had a standard room, smaller than the first one and rather dark, but ok for the price. Most of the staff were friendly.
- Pascal (1/5): Avoid this hotel! - Overall basic and clean hotel – good location in the city centre. But we were shocked during the check-out payment process.
Please avoid this hotel at all cost – very untrustworthy people working for this hotel!
- DePatriot (2/5): Avoid this hotel! - Overall basic and clean hotel – good location in the city centre not far away from the famous post office.
But we were shocked during the check-out payment process.
Please avoid this hotel at all cost.
- Deepak (8/5): Good stay at a good location - Short walk from Agha station and a long walk from the main square (also reachable quickly by metro, which is also really close to the hotel), loved the location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, organised a taxi for Tipaza. The room was large, with a small but cozy balcony, wifi was adequate. The AC was off because it is winter (so I was told), so for some ventilation. I had the balcony door open, which resulted in some mosquitos coming in unfortunately.
- LilianaSRM (10/5): Excellent experience - Good environment and very nice and helpful staff.
It has a good WIFI signal and it's a nice location to visit Algiers.
The room has a good space and very clean.
A good place to stay again in another visit to Algiers.
- Robert (10/5): Great value hotel - will be back! - Great location near a metro station and in walking distance of many attractions, rooms were very comfortable and spacious and most importantly staff were very very helpful and friendly! Will definitely stay again on a future trip to Algiers!
- London1760 (8/5): Central hotel in Algiers - Hotel is pretty basic, but it's central and inexpensive. Things mostly work, and the breakfast isn't bad. I would recommend if you're on a budget, and don't mind a few things not working perfectly.
- LibertyPen (10/5): Perfect hotel for tourists in Algiers - This hotel is perfectly placed for tourism and business in Algiers. The rooms are spacious and with good AC and sizeable bathroom. Each room was a classic balcony and the glass is thick enough to stop any noise from the outside., The whole place is very clean and the staff are very friendly and multi lingual. I recommend it to anyone.
- Valentin (10/5): A nice and chic hotel - Polite and helpful staff.
The room was of a good size, clean, and the beds were comfortable.
The metro station is within a short walk, The WiFi inside the room was very weak and didn’t really work
- Nadia (6/5): - The 'superior' room was disappointingly small and dark with a view over a dirty back alley. Poor lighting and nowhere to sit. Rock hard bed and hard lumpy pillows. The better rooms had non-functioning A/C.
The staff, however, were super kind and helpful.p
- Yacine (10/5): - Excellent hôtel
- Mohammad (7/5): Good - Good staff and good location
- Zhaoze (7/5): Good - Stuff is really good, friendly and helpful! There are too many mosquitoes in the room.
- Wilfried (9/5): Great stay in central Algiers. - Place is calm, clean and central. Shower hose would need replacement. I love my classic ham n cheese for breakfast, I missed it.
- Derkenb (4/5): Forced interactions with the staff were awkward - I started my check-in in French and after a few sentences, the clerk looked at my passport (American) and switched to English. If his English had been amazing, I would have thought "ok, rude, but fine' (I understand French isn't the official language) but his English was fine not great. Which just made for an awkward and jerking conversations. French would have been a lot more natural. Both clerks insisted in speaking English to me during my stay. Other reviews mention the staff being unfriendly. I found them friendly, but in a "hey, come over and let us practice our English with you" sort of way, not in the practical or professional way that you would want in staff from a hotel. It just made coming and going uncomfortable because the desk is right next to the door. The awkwardness of the interactions with the staff was enough for me not to stay here again or recommend.
Also there was no hot water 2 of 3 nights and no internet one night.
That aside, the view and the balcony were amazing (I tried hard to look at images before my stay to determine if there was a true balcony or just a railing). It was small, but a true balcony and 2 people could sit there. I was on the top floor (5th/(6th American)).
Honestly if there had just been self check-in my stay would have been much better.

- Londongirl132 (8/5): Central hotel - We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights.
The hotel is in a very central location, very close to the train which goes to the airport. Options to eat
The room is clean, however, we found the shower water was warm not hot. We did not ask the hotel, if there was a problem with the water in our room, but that may have been the case. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow, in our room as well. We did have a local sim, so we used our phone instead of the hotel Wi-Fi.
There are eating options close by, as the hotel is on a very busy street, and it is in walking distance to the casbah, central post office, if you like walking. A metro station is also close by.
Friendly, helpful staff.
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- shiraziwine (8/5): Every thing was fine - This hotel is located not far from Metro station, nice and clean room and a good price for budget travelers.
I did not pay for breakfast since there are many cheap breakfast places around. walking in the district of the hotel is also nice
- Chahrazed (6/5): Pleasant -
- Abdellatif (8/5): Very good - Nice staff and location in city center It was goodnin general
- Carlos (8/5): Very good - Wi-Fi very good. Staff extremely nice and professional.
- Robbe (9/5): Superb - The staff was very friendly and helped out with every request. They showed genuine interest in the customers. The rooms were clean and cleaned regularly. The optional breakfast was good. There weren't many things not to like. The room for the breakfast was a bit too small on certain days but other than that everything was great.
- Ka1nabil (8/5): Very good - The location in the heart of the capital is really making life easier to navigate to other places.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Well located but need more maintenance - Located in the heart of Alger. Good location, comfortable bed but few issues with hot water, Wi-Fi elevator and hair dryer.
- Euglent (2/5): - Really sad that the owner / management of the property showed no care to my case. I didn’t know that Algeria needed a visa which cannot be applied on arrival, needed 15 - 20’days costing a ridiculous amount of of money. I did call Expedia and explained my situation and the hotel simply said NO. I paid for a service i didn’t use and I would never ever set my foot in that hotel. Horrible service and an ugly outcome.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Above expectations - Very friendly staff, clean room with working internet connection which was perfect for my TC calls.
Breakfast is overall basic but for the price it is worth it.
- Mohammad (8/5): - The best thing in this hotel is no smoking hotel 😊
- Fouad (2/5): - Customer service unprofessional, not listening.
I paid for a superior suit , finding myself in a double room with tho small sofa gathered to form a big one plus safe bank broke. In addition to that a very bad interest connection.
I don’t suggest this hotel to anyone. Specially the high price doesn’t match th services.
Regards,
Fouad Boucetta
- Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional -
