Guest Reviews
- Tracy (10/5): - Really nice cabin with front porch. Kind staff. Restaurant on property.
- Omai (10/5): - I loved it. I will be back.
- Scott (8/5): - Cabin was very nice my only complaint was the bed wasn't very good
- Stephen (4/5): - We stayed at Duke’s Slickrock Campground & RV Park, and I’m torn—because the cabin was absolutely perfect. Huge, clean, beautifully decorated, comfy beds, adorable porch…seriously, everything you could want. But then came the shower…and it was a complete disaster.
The water pressure was a joke. I’ve never experienced anything so pathetic in my life. You could barely get wet, let alone wash yourself. It was like trying to shower under a dripping faucet in slow motion. I swear you could spit harder than the water came out. I left the shower feeling more dirty than when I went in. This wasn’t just inconvenient—it ruined the stay.
It’s heartbreaking, because the cabin was otherwise amazing and the price was great. But if you actually need to bathe, don’t even consider staying here. The shower alone is a dealbreaker.
- Jamie (10/5): - Excellent staff. Fun adventure.
- Sam (8/5): - I would recommend
- Marie (10/5): - Loved staying here! Very helpful with my late check-in. Instructions for finding the cabin was perfect. Cabin was so nice and comfortable. Will definitely be back if we come to visit national parks in the area again!
- Hailiang (8/5): - Clean and quiet
- Kim (10/5): - Cabin was clean, spacious. Bed was comfortable. Facility was quiet. Mini-refrigerator did not have a freezer compartment. Even though there was a refrigerator and microwave, no dishes or utensils were provided. No free ice was available, though it was available for purchase at the office.
- ximing (10/5): - Perfect location

- Kristen (10/5): Loved this cabin I was able to book last minute - I had plans to camp in Hanksville, but the wind was prohibitive. I was able to book this cabin last minute, and it was delightful. - Debbie (10/5): - Kurt (property manager) is so good to work with.
- Michael (10/5): - We found our room to be excellent here and would not hesitate to stay again. So nicely out together. And let’s be honest no that many places nearby so this was a great find. For some reason the name might indicate a camp ground or similar but the room was really very nice. Easy breakfast from restaurant on site.
- Spriha (10/5): - Cabin was well maintained and clean. Enjoyed our stay here
- Annie (10/5): - Nice cabins!
- Adam (10/5): - Private cabin. Parking next to room.
- Charlotte (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and accommodating, cabin appeared to be brand new and was clean and comfortable.
The only downside is very few places are open during the off season, plan accordingly!
- Amy (10/5): - It was a beautiful cabin in a beautiful location!
- Travis (10/5): - Comfortable and clean accommodations. Would definitely stay here again. I appreciated the local recommendations provided by Kurt when checking in.
- Meagan (10/5): Great stay! - Plenty of outlets and ways to charge your gadgets. Softest sheets I've ever slept in. Beds were comfy, pillows were great. Clean and even provided a broom for when you drag in tons of red dirt on everything you own. Appreciated the promptness in communication from the owner.
- Ping (10/5): - Very cozy cabin in winter, very clean, nice staff with helpful information for surrounding area activities. Definitely will stay here in the future trips.

- AJ (8/5): - Had a nice time at the property! Got some good recommendations for hikes in the area
- Ravi (10/5): - Lovely log cabin. Clean, comfortable. Has a good amount of storage, small table and a corner area for coffee and microwave. Staff was not always in the office, but accessible via phone even during thanksgiving holiday. Grill close by serves fresh breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had brunch there and everything was delicious!
- helen (10/5): - The hotel is conveniently located at many great scenic points. We will come here again.
- Andrea (10/5): - We loved our stay. We were just bumming around for the day and stopped there because of the dining option. It worked perfect for our travels.
- Martin (6/5): - Pricey for what you get. Options in Hanksville are limited.
- Dennis (10/5): - The property manager was great.
Socks was great with the ice service
- Koleen (10/5): - Super cute cabins and friendly staff. So glad we chose Duke's
- Rebecca (10/5): Best Towels Ever - Our cabin had the softest towels i have ever experienced in all my 50 yrs of traveling. Those towels were a dream to use. Absolutely the softest. Thanks Dukes Slickrock for a great experience in Hanksville, Utah.
- Julia (10/5): - Great people! Clean cabins! Great food!
- Dan (10/5): - This is an excellent place to stay when you are traveling between the arches/canyon and capitol reef. We did Dead horse and Goblin valley and spent the night at Dukes. A neat place to stay, different than the usual motel chain. Good food at restaurant in walking distance.
- Karen (8/5): - Good
- DAN (10/5): - Great cabin and excellent food
- Gordon (10/5): - Beautiful cabin! Beds were super comfortable, very clean, friendly atmosphere, and the restaurant was amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
- Cynthia (10/5): - Nice cabins. They had everything you could want for an overnight stay. Also ate in the restaurant and had two great meals. Entire staff was friendly and quick.
- Mariana (10/5): - Location, facilities
- Cheryl (10/5): - Best stay of our 2 week trip. Very clean and the cabin is pretty new with everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable!
- dan (10/5): - We only needed a bed and shower between parks. But these cabins were very well appointed we could have drawn the curtains for a week. Very quiet and comfortable.
- Margaret (10/5): - I was pleasantly surprised by our cabin! It was spotless, the wifi was great, and everyone was so nice. We dined twice at the cafe on site, and the food was excellent (And my husband, who is celiac, was able to get great gluten-free options!)
I'm very happy I ended up booking here instead of a nearby property, which had exorbitant fees and in person didn't appear to have much character.
- miraleen (10/5): Great cabin - Very clean, comfortable and beautiful cabin. Coffee maker to q-tips, i have no complaints. For a small town this place was exceptionally nice.
- Betty-Ann (8/5): - Beautiful cabin. Deck on front with 2 chairs and table. Will return
- Lorrie (10/5): - Dukes is a great place to stay for our 4 wheeling adventures! Great location, easy close food choices, quick access to the trails!
- Anthony (10/5): - A great place to stay if you're off-roading or shooting photos in the area. Check in was easy, the cabin was cozy. I highly recommend the corn bread at the restaurant!
- James (10/5): - We stayed in a luxury cabin. Wood-paneled and furnished; it had a lot of atmosphere. "Attached" restaurant was good. Live music. Whole place, especially the restaurant, was themed on "The Duke," John Wayne. Unique place; I recommend it.
- Francis (8/5): - Perfect accommodation to check out things around Hanksville. The cabins were cozy and clean and the property members were quick to respond to any questions I had before and during my stay. Would stay here again.

- James (8/5): - Great cabins
- Sean (10/5): - Very clean and enjoyable stay. Very helpful office staff
- Tiffany (10/5): - The cabin was so clean and new. It was adorable and just what we needed after exploring!
- Mark (10/5): Great place! - This is a fun place. Great location for Goblin valley and other national parks! Highly recommend!
- Romain (10/5): Charming cabin! - Amazing hotel, location, room (cabin) and staff! Super clean!
- Frank (10/5): - Great place to stay and great opportunity to participate in activities outdoors.
- Francis (10/5): The perfect place! - Awesome! Formidable. Very clean and great service!
- Kristin (10/5): - Wonderful all the way around.
- Julius (10/5): - A hidden gem. Well worth it.
- Kenneth (10/5): - They are small cabins inside of a campground area. The inside is incredible all the beautiful pine on the walls and ceiling. I was kind of surprised how nice they were. The bathrooms were really nice and clean. They also own the restaurant right next-door to it which is really good but they should give you a discount if you’re staying in a campground. Some of the food in the restaurant seem like it might’ve been sitting around a while before they served it, but it was good especially for a town that small.
- Dee (10/5): - Our cabin was neat and tidy and warm! It rained and snowed and we were cozy. Lots of hot water, but not a ton of pressure. The restaurant on property was pretty good, super friendly staff throughout! Kurt at the front desk was knowledgeable about the area and gave us several tips of things to see and do!
- MARK (10/5): Happy in Hanksville! - The cabin was in great shape, the man who checked me in was helpful, and this is a beautiful location!
- Donald (10/5): - We loved this place! Kurt the property manager is an amazing human, very kind and helpful.
- Karen (10/5): Nice except for awful Wi-Fi - Nice place, convenient location. Maid did bring more coffee without being asked (but no clean towels or bed service). We enjoyed the porch where we could could cook on our camp stove (only a microwave in the cabin). But the Wi-Fi at least in cabin 3 is awful, everything timed out. So don’t think you’re going to download any hiking trails etc!
- Gael (10/5): Nice Cabin - We enjoyed our stay in the cabins at this business that also serves RV's. The inside was clean and the outside premises were clean and nice also. There was room to park right outside the cabin. The manager and staff were friendly and communicative. I would definitely stay here again.
- Susan (10/5): - Upscale cabin experience with all the amenities of a hotel stay.
- Larry (10/5): Wonderful stay after a long day! - Nice well kept property with modern cabins. Great restaurant on site. Highly recommended!
- James (10/5): - Sarah at the desk was great. The restaurant food and service was great. Enjoyed Hanksville and purchased a Hanksville T-shirt.
- Don (10/5): Excellent Place to Stay - The room and overall property were excellent. The manager of the property was very friendly and helpful. He was probably one of the best property manager's I've ever talked to in my travels over the past 50 years.
- Susan (10/5): - Beautiful cabin! Fresh, clean, bright and spacious. Very comfortable. We were provided with an abundance of soft snowy white towels. Nice little private patio out front. Easy parking right outside your door. I would like to forewarn others that the cabins sit on a gravel lot and the property behind looks like a junkyard. But Dukes does provide a lovely grassy area with seating across the gravel lot. The onsite restaurant serves good food. Really enjoyed our stay!
- Joseph (10/5): - The manager was great! Quality, service and price-we got all three!
- Gregory (10/5): - Cabins were spacious and comfortable. Parking was available a few steps from the cabin.
- Kristi (10/5): - Great location near Capital Reef and Goblin Valley
- Sarah (10/5): - Comfortable stop for the night.
- Chad (10/5): - Quiet and relaxing place to stay.
- Kiirsten (10/5): - We arrived late at night and our key was on a clearly marked envelope on the office door. Thank you!
- Irene (10/5): - The cabins were lovely, clean and quiet. The property management was friendly. We’d definitely stay here again.
- cynthia (10/5): - We enjoyed our stayb at Dukes. The RV park was easily accessible, quiet, and well kept. We loved our little cabin. It was cozy, clean, and comfortable. I would say the only negative thing is that it states that roll away beds are available, however the gentleman that checked us in stated they don't. Which just meant our teens had to share a bed when I had already promised they wouldn't need to. Totally my bad, and wouldn't you know, they survived it! Hahaha
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice property but poor service - We had to wait 30 minutes in the heat for someone to show up to check us in. Once that was done, the rest of stay was great. Spacious, clean room, RV hookup in parking spot.
- Arthur (10/5): - Beautiful cabin. Very new, clean and quiet. Very comfortable.
- jihoon (10/5): - Awesome place. We stayed cavin that has shower room. Room was good and huge than other cavin or hotel. Definitely i will stay again.
- steven (8/5): Enjoyed… - Modern build. Very clean.
- David (10/5): - This was a nice cabin — two queen beds, very clean on the inside and attentive housekeeping services. We loved that they had a refrigerator and microwave and the heater worked great! The water was hot and it was a great place to relax after hiking around all day.
- Constance (8/5): - New cabin, cute and clean. Staff was super nice and enjoyed all the fur babies. There was a horrible smell outside the cabin that permeated the property. Neighbor were burning something offensive. Way overpriced for what you get. Seems to be the best place to stay in town and they know it and charge for it.
- Marc (10/5): Pleasant stay at an affirdable price - I stayed in one of the cabins. The cabin was clean and peaceful. There is laundry room on site as well as a restaurant. The office staff was very pleasant and check in was the smoothest I have dealt with in my travels. Highly recommend.
- David (10/5): - Hanksville is really remote, so don't expect great Internet. But it worked (mostly). Cabins are hotel room sized, with 3 heaters, AC and ceiling fan. Hard to get, especially on weekends. Will definitely try to stay here again. Great little restaurant, too!
- Trevor C (10/5): - The little cabin was perfect for our little family. It was nice to have a shower and comfortable beds after our excursion to Goblin Valley. The restaurant was also very nice.
- Nyall (10/5): Good place to stay. - It was an excellent place to stay. I stayed in one of the cabins. It was roomy and very comfortable. I particularly like the fact that the unit was separate with no one above, below or to the side. I could park right next to the unit. My only quibble, and it is a small one, is that because this is an RV park the diesel pickup trucks that tow their trailers were noisy.
- kENDALL (10/5): - The cabin was a pleasant surprise. Brand new condition. Location was great for the Horseshoe Canyon hike.
- Thomas (8/5): Almost Perfect - Everything was excellent except the WiFi which was glacially slow.
- Brad (10/5): - Stayed in cabin 8t was clean and cozy😊
