Guest Reviews
- MONG YAU (8/5): -
- KWOK (6/5): - Can’t complain for the price, location is convenient for food and travel staff are very friendly😊
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The worst place I’ve ever seen in my life. It shouldn’t even be open
- Verified traveler (2/5): The worst - 首先,1.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not too bad, but need improvements - location and price was quite good. Found few bed bugs on bed, WiFi doesn’t work well 90% of the time during our stay and Signal of TV channel was unstable (unable to watch certain public channels). If the above issues was fixed, it would make the stay much more comfortable and convenient.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Okay for one night stay - It's a basic room but value for money in terms of size and location. The bed is hard, but everything else is okay. It's surprisingly clean. Fine for a night's stay in the city.
- WAI CHUNG (6/5):
- Verified traveler (4/5):
- CHUEN SUM SAMUEL (10/5): So good - 整體房間潔淨
- Hiway (8/5): -
- T W david (4/5): Forget it - if you have any alterntives. forget this rubbish hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fair stay - The location was quite good, walking distance to mtr. The room was spacious for 2 people, however, we found black ants in the bed. That is very unexpected.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room (701) was very small. Good for only one person.
Had various amenities: free Wifi,TV, AC, tea cups (x2), kettle, hairdryer, tooth brushes (x2), tooth paste, shampoo & conditioner, slippers (x2 pair). Shower was excellent with strong pressures and ample hot water.
Room and bed were very clean and neat.
Toilet was very slow to flush
Telephone was inoperative. No use in case of emergency.
Hotel was central for my purposes.
- Craig3006 (6/5): You see what you get - You pay cheap, you get cheap. That said, it was a ok size room with it's own bathroom. The bed was double size, i'ld normaly call it a king single. It was hard. Very basic and in an average area, away from all the shops. Not too bad, but not overly good either. The restaurant next door was nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We'll definitely be back.
- gman174 (2/5): Terrible - This is probably the worst place I have ever stayed in. The only half decent thing was the guy who checked me in! The hotel, actually it’s a low grade hostel more like it is terrible. The supposed double room was really about the size of a single with a rock hard mattress? I actually think it was just cardboard under the sheet not sure. I’ve seen prison cells in better condition and more comfortable. A door alarm started going off around 7am, nobody came to see what the problem was and this went on for approximately 2hrs. I went downstairs and told the totally uninterested guy on the front desk, I then proceeded out for an hour only to come back and it’s still going! I also asked on checkout for a taxi, he was to lazy to organise that. Avoid at all costs, what a dump
- KIM TONG (2/5): - It is a motel
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The accommodation was basic. Clean bed, very good shower and clean toilet facilities. We didn't visit Hong Kong to spend a lot of time awake in a hotel room. A seven minute walk from Olympic Station on the MTR Tung Chung Line got us to every destination we needed. A 15 minute walk got us to Mongkok or to Sham Shui Po. But with the excellent interchange system on the MTR walking was optional.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good Stay with budget money at budget hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Namchoeng station is very comfortable when taking MRT back to Tsing Yi or Tung Chung. The room iis also clean and not expensive. Overall, I think the price is worth your money.
- EltonMa (6/5): Tiny place. Budget. Convenient Transport. Short Stay ok - - Very tiny room, but sufficient. Quiet.
- Good for short term stay (3-4 days)
- Close to MTR (5mins walking)
- Plenty of restaurants
- Budget.
- Generally clean
I just had good sleep there, it's a budget hotel (or hostel). Don't expect a lot.
- alvinkwan81 (2/5): Horrible management, unreliable staff, stay away from this hotel - So it happens on the night of 30 Oct 2018, when I check in with my wife and her friend. We arrived at the reception, with the receptionist completely ignored us until I state my intention to check in. I greeted him politely but he got his attention on my wife and her friend, asking what their nationality is. While I hand him my documents to proof my booking for the 2 rooms, he never have looked at me and/or answer my questions with regards to extending my checkout hours. All he did was insisting my wife and her friend to answer him regarding their nationality, while pointing at a paper laminated on the table with regards to late checkout fee. My wife answered Vietnam, followed by his reply “beautiful girls”. By the time we got out keycard, and making our way to the lift, he had this grim on his face eyeing us away. I didn’t know what he means but it certainly sends us the chill. My wife and her friend was scared and quickly entered their room and have their window and door securely locked.
An hour lately, I went down to ask for a pair of missing slippers, however the reception wasn’t manned. I look around the tiny lobby, and to my surprise, found the receptionist sleeping on a pile of chair in the closed restaurant area!!!
I understood it was 11:30pm, and it is only normal for all human beings to feel exhausted around this time. But am I asking too much for the receptionist, the only staff remains in the hotel, to remain on guard while he’s working his night shift? Especially while this hotel is in an area near Tai Kok Tsui, where it isn’t particularly famous for being your safest neighbourhood in Hong Kong. Police are also rare to find around here, with random drunks observed on the street near the hotel.
I got back to my room, with my door and window securely locked and call it a night.
The next day we left the hotel around noon, this time with a different receptionist. She was a lot more friendly and approachable. I asked her for the name for the receptionist last night, his name is Eric Chung. I also asked her when the manager will be on duty, so I can reflect our weird experience with him. She replied the manager will be on duty starting around 8am next day.
That night when we returned, Eric was there again working his night shift. I got down around 11:30pm to check him out, and guess what, he’s taking his lap again in the closed restaurant area.
Early morning 1 Nov 2018, I got down to the lobby, and there the manager is. His name is Jeffrey Ho. I told him everything, only with him apologising for the poor reception that we have experienced and that he will provide better coaching to Eric for the correct behaviour he should have. Jeffrey also shared that it wasn’t the first complain he received from guest regarding Eric’s behaviour but he has shown improvements over the years. I voiced out to Jeffrey that this just isn’t good enough, especially when the issue isn’t just about unprofessional attitude, but customer feeling their safety is jeopardised at the hotel premises. Eric Chung should simply be replaced, especially when he had a track record of unprofessional behaviour at work.
I hope the hotel group can do something about it, because frankly speaking, management under Jeffrey Ho is weak and unconvincing in safeguarding customers’ own safety, never minding being an ambassador for Hong Kong hospitality industry.
Stay away from this hotel!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is a perfectly adequate hotel for the price and if you're using it primarily as a place to sleep and you don't need a lot of fancy amenities. The room I stayed in was very clean and the A/C was functioning properly. As others have mentioned the rooms are very small - this is true. But they are clean which is my number one priority. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The neighborhood is a predominantly Chinese neighborhood (few to no foreigners) which is nice if you don't want to hang around with foreigners. It's a semi-industrial neighborhood: lots of repair shops, metal shops, etc. Totally safe as all cities in China are. I can recommend this hotel as an adequate hotel for a pleasant stay near central HK.
- Ka But (6/5): Don't have high expectation! - Room rate was cheap. The phone in the room however didn't work. There was no morning call service, although there is someone manning the counter all the time.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - close to mtr and mall
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Bed as hard as cardboard folds stocked on top of each other
Water Temperature in shower was either very hot or cold, adjustment very difficult
Room very small - should fit 3 (!!))
No breakfast
Quite noisy
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was a bed and a hot shower kind of a place. Do not expect more. The bed was hard and too short. The shower was dark.
- S. (10/5): - Such an amazing hotel. Check in was easy, the staff and manager were so hospitable and accommodating. The one issue that came up with the AC was quickly rectified. The breakfast was great, loved the rice and noodles :) would definetly stay here again!
- silkyloz (4/5): Good for a hostel - It’s central, clean and the all the staff are helpful and a couple are even friendly!!
However, I wouldn’t call it a hotel, it’s what I’d call a hostel. The rooms are about 2meters wide and about 18 foot long. We were advised to not leave anything of value in the room and there wasn’t anywhere to lock them away anyway.
It was a very noisy hostel and the locals who stay there shout across to one another rather than go to speak, also the doors bleep if not closed properly and the beep was going all night most nights! We did speak to the receptionist who said he would have a word and the odd night it was quiet but mainly not!
The rooms were cleaned every day, we stayed for 9nights and the sheets were changed once. We had fresh towels everyday and the shower was hot & powerful enough.
I wouldn’t stay here again, but as I wouldn’t go back to Hong Kong, guess that doesn’t matter!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location- perfect Staff (Jeffery) the best: friendly, helpful, perfect Enlidg
- Eric (6/5): - During our stay, there was a lot of building construction on the street very close to the hotel. It was very noisy during the day. Luckily we were not there much during the day. The staff was friendly. The room was very small. I guess I am not use to rooms this small. Maybe that is normal for Hong Kong... Anyway, I found the price very high for what we got compared to other rooms in other parts of the world.
- Claudia (10/5): - Excellent convenient budget hotel! The room was very clean and the staff very helpful. It was thoroughly worth the (very cheap) price - especially since we stayed for three weeks. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a cheap, clean and convenient place to stay and is willing to put up with the fact that it is small (even for Hong Kong).
- Verified traveler (8/5): good - nice hotel
- Win (6/5): - Pros: close to MTR station for airport
All others so so.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decent, clean place... - Good hotel but both room and bathroom were small but can't complain given the rate. About 10 - 15 mins walk from Mong Kok metro station so if you are carrying nothing big or heavy, you could catch the (A21?) express from the airport.
Quite a few restaurants near by but couldn't find a decent pub / bar (other than the Pacific Bar - a sports bar which showed football).
- Richard (8/5): Good hotel in good location - Quiet. Comfortable. Hot shower. Good location right next to MTR underground. Nice staff. The street however - you had to walk past a number of small car repair or door manufacturers and street partially blocked on occasions. But overall fine. The hotel room was good but make sure you opt for a bigger room if staying for over 3 days. Room was clean but dusty.
- miguelitoimsonito (6/5): Pleasant short stay - The hotel was a gem surrounded by junk shops and wet markets. The rooms are small, but decent enough for a short stay. It is also far from local tourist spots, which means the food was very cheap!
While it shouldn’t be mentioned, I have to say that it needs to be. All the other front desk officers were apathetic and downright rude. Jeffrey, on the other hand, was very nice and always greeted us whenever we pass by. He even tried to build a connection with us. I was impressed by the overall customer experience he provided.
- May (2/5): - Crowed, hit knees when using the bathroom, not flexible, and expensive
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Absolutely tiny room. Incredibly overpriced for the size and also not particularly clean.
- Tim (6/5): - Hotel is down a side street about 10 minute walk from a couple different train stops. Restaurants and some shops nearby but the road is narrow and is a bit dodgy.
The room was reasonable for Hong Kong, beds were smallish with little extra room. Bathroom was well equiped but had some issues with the shower door and the toilet flusher. Both issues were resolved but service from the front desk was lacking energy or interest, just a blank look and a nod.
Overall, it was reasonable for the price paid compared to the many shoeboxes in the kowloon area.
- Rachel (6/5): - The hotel room accommodations are pretty shabby and out of date. If the hotel can update and modernize the furniture and the ac units, then the stay will be much more comfortable. Also, please protect your electronic devices, do not leave them under the ac units as the ac unit on the 4th floor was dripping water onto my laptop. This has never happened before at other hotels/motels/accommodations that I have stayed at in Hong Kong. Please also note that the wi-fi in this hotel was extremely slow and needs to be updated to accommodate guests who need to have access to wifi for work purposes.
Despite the condition of the hotel rooms, the staff, particular Mr. Siu, was particularly helpful in making sure that we were given another room when we had an issue with our initial room. He also went the extra mile to introduce us to the local food venues and transportation options.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean hotel at good price. - Hotel located 10 minute walk from Olympic station.
- Kent (6/5): - I stayed only one night at Metroplace Olympic Hotel, but it was an OK hotel. It was a holiday evening, and my "regular" places in Hong Kong were priced outrageously. The Metroplace turned out to be in an interesting area of the city(near the Olympic Station on the MTR). There is a very good restaurant on the first floor,
I had a small room on the sixth floor, and don't know the size or shape of other rooms. Everything worked, including the wifi. The room layout was probably the strangest I have ever seen, but I wasn't holding a party there - and it didn't effect my sleep. I would stay there again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Economy hotel that gets the job done. People should know this is in an older, light industrial neighborhood. It's not Central or TST, so set your expectations accordingly. But within one block, there are tons of dive places to eat. That kind of neighborhood.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great no frills stay- as others have mentioned, the rooms are small but that is normal in Hong Kong. The rooms are clean and come up a water kettle, mini fridge, nightstand/lamp, desk, mugs, free bottled water, air conditioner, clothes hangers, toiletries, and of course, beds! The rooms are clean.
The location is great! The block the hotel is on may not look 100% wonderful but apart from aesthetics, it is 100% safe and is very close to many great food options and transportation. It is about a 5-minute walk from Olympic Station, which can get you to HK Island and the airport easily via Tung Chung or Shenzhen through the West Rail Line via Tin Shui Wai. Olympian City is just 6 minutes away and there is great shopping and food, including Tim Ho Wan.
The biggest point of improvement is the Internet. The WiFi in my room is weak and slow, although the neighboring room's network is decent, which I ended up using most of my stay. An easy workaround is walking to McDonald's down the street to use their fast, free WiFi.
- Kumaboo (6/5): Ok for short stay - I’ve stayed at metroplace olympic three times. It’s a love-hate relationship with this hotel.
Pros:
1. Cheap room rate you cant get anywhere else in hongkong for this class of accomodation. Paid roughly usd 40-50 per night. Usually 2-3 stars hotels in this area charge minimum of 70-80 usd per night
2. Hotel is quite new, but.. i will discuss that in cons section
3. Lots of delicious restaurants, food options and supermarket nearby. Love the area eventhough it’s far from center but it feels more local
4. Bus connection is easy to and from wanchai and central (where i need to be for business purpose). There is also free shuttle bus from kowloon station stopping at dorsett mongkok which was 3 minutes walking distance to metroplace olympic
5. 1 km to mongkok center. Easy 20 minutes walk. Not bad since i like to walk in hongkong to balance out the unhealthy diet i had over there
6. 1 particular front desk (man) is very nice and very friendly. Forgot the name though
Cons:
1. upon the third visit i already feel the room is deteriorating. It’s a fairly new hotel but it looks older that it was. Probably because they dont really take good care of the furniture and the room. When something’s broken / scuffed they just leave it as it is
2. Some rooms are ok, some felt quite dirty. So it’s based on luck.
3. The quality of the interior is on the lower standard. But that’s what you get for paying 40 usd per night
4. Room is super super super small. I strongly suggest to take the family room. It’s the more decent option
5. It felt filthy on my last stay
6. First and second stay, booked 2 nights here and i felt fine. The last visit, i stayed 4 nights and i cant wait to get out of this hotel. I guess i overestimate my capability of not giving a **** about room hygiene
So based on my last stay, i think i had enough with this hotel. Saying goodbye. Im opting for a better hotel although the rate is double the price here, at least im comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cheap solution - A solution for cheap stay in kong kong. Close to mongkok and mtr.
- GEORGE (8/5): tai kowk tsui - near tsimshatsui, near big mac, fruit market, plenty restaurant nearby
- Ivan (2/5): bathroom is poorly designed. - I booked for 4 nights at the hotels but I only stayed 2 nights because the bathrooms is so poorly designed and the water in shower area did not drained. We told the staff about this but they did not do anything.
- s (8/5): Good value for money :) - This hotel for ideal for my boyfriend and I. As we are on a budget but wanted a bit more privacy than a hostel this was ideal! It was by far the cheapest we could find, yes the room was small but as expected as they do warn you. The hotel staf are super helpful especially Jeffry who was such a nice guy. Also the location was ideal, so close to the train station and trains are easy to use and also it’s abshort walk into main streets and Makets. over all we enjoyed our stay and would come back :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to Mongkok - Everything was amazing according to my uncle’s fam. The place was a bit small but that was already a given since Hong Kong is buzzing with tourists. Aside that, the room was clean and comfortable and very near to Mongkok which was awesome. The staff were very friendly and helpful too so that’s a plus!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Too small but good value for the price. You can hear everything what your neighbors are doing so not a quiet room. But good location, clean and good price.
- Kam Yu (8/5): Good Price with Convenient Location - Location: easy access to bus stops & MTR stations; round the corner are restaurants, supermarkets, 7/11, McDonald & many shopping stores.
Staff: Very nice & friendly. special thanks to Jeffery & Ms. Choi.
Room: Cleaned everyday. We went out all the day, just perfect as sleep & bath.
I think that it is worth with such a price at a hotel in Hong Kong.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Smelly hotel - The hotel is dirty with bugs and the room is smelly because of the smoke. No smoking room with smelly smoke!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Recommended - This hotel is HIGHLY recommended. There was enough space for us to move around. We had a great stay.
- Sam (6/5): Budget hotel. - Is really small for the 2 pax room. If u r a *bigger size* person. U will find it hard to move around. I'm a skinny guy. Toilet is so small that is very difficult and need to be careful when i wanna wash my back. U will be hurting your elbow unless you are a yoga expert. Mtr Olympic is about 7 mins walking distance. A lot of food stalls around hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Since the room is next to the elevator (Lift),when the elevator run, it was very noise, especially after the midnight, can sleep!!, Beside, it good!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Area was about what I expected from the photos , but the room was significantly worse.
The room was tiny yet wifi didn't manage to reach all of it.
The tap in the bathroom only had cold water, and the showerwater barely had any warmth either.
At 1.88m I'm not insanely tall but my toes were outside the bed and I had a nice view of the thick layer of dust in the top shelves that never had been cleaned.
- Paul (8/5): Good price for a very convenient location - We stayed for 4 nights and paid fo 5 as our flight was leaving Hong Kong late at night. Price was good, location very convenient - very close to Olympic station. There are a lot of local eateries around and great shopping not far from the hotel. The room we booked should be bigger one they have and it wasn't that big, but sufficient for our stay. We stayed in winter (end of January) and it was very cold even in our room as there is no central heating. We had a lot of warm clothes as we continued for our skiing trip to Japan from there and ended up wearing a lot of layers inside the room. No big deal, just something to be aware of. The staff was nice and ready to help. The area around the hotel is still under renovation, it looks like it will be quite nice once finished. No complains for the price we paid.
- Leopold (6/5): Rooms much smaller than described, otherwise fair - The hotel was booked primarily on location. I had a number of places to visit close by.
The reception was very helpful in advising me how to get to these
Everything was working, including some heating, which I did not expect to need in Hong Kong
However, the room was extremely cramped and the web page is innaccurate about the room size.
- maj (8/5): very close to olympic station - well there is only one excellent hotel staff here and that is JEFF...
- Antshep14 (8/5): :) - Good location close to subway station with great links to anywhere in the city, clean rooms but not very spacious- however in a city like Hong Kong where hotel rooms can be very expensive this hotel offered an affordable stay which we all enjoyed :) friendly staff that all spoke good English and a restaurant/ dining area downstairs
- Mei Ling (6/5): r - The front desk man called Jimmy is very nice and helpful. He gave us early check in and provided useful direction and publuc transport. But the evening girl is not that nice and polite. The hotel is located near
- Roydon (4/5): Wayyy to expensive for its quality - Didn’t expect this hotel to be in such low standard for the price they charged me for the night. I paid HK$1,700... :(
- Milky (4/5): Run down hotel with terrible equipment - My main problem with the hotel is the quality of the room. There was noise, the water supply had wildly changing temperature, and the room was not very clean.
My room happened to be next to an elevator (2 out of 6 rooms on each floor are), which meant that every time somebody used the elevator there would be a whirring noise coming through the wall. Soundproofing was terrible. I could hear the neighbors open and close drawers, use the tap, and walk around.
It is quite cold as of this writing in Hong Kong. As such, a warm shower is very welcome. However, the temperature of the water varies between 20 and 50 Celsius under the best circumstances. I had to continuously adjust the temperature to keep it within this range. It is very uncomfortable.
The room was not filthy. But there are visible stains and pieces of filth on the blankets and the sheets. I found hairs inside the towels provided, and there was dust between the beds and the walls.
The hotel room is obviously small. The beds are about 1.7m long, sometimes with walls on either end, meaning that a taller person would not be able to lay flat. There is not enough space for two people to walk past each other in the hallway of the room. However, the room size was stated in the booking information so it did not come as a surprise.
The location of this hotel is fair. It is situated in an industrial area so you may run into difficulties when getting there by taxi (I did). However it is only a few minutes walk from the MRT.
- M (6/5): Close to MTR station that’s all - Stayed there for one night only. Booked a family room with a single bed and a double room.
When check in, the receptionist didn’t tell me any facilities in “hotel”, even where to take the lift. Room was tiny as expected, but the double bed was really small. Washroom was really smelly and the heater was super noisy. TV Channels needed to be tuned.
Checked out in early morning before 7am. No one there. Waited for around 5 mins, a lady was back with take away breakfast on hand. She was not friendly at all.
Overall, not a good experience. Living in Hostels could be better.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Our family stayed here for 4 nights. The location is very unpleasant, full of garbage, dirty street and smells like stinks. The room is size is okay, they do daily housekeeping but unfortunately they don't change linens regularly and they don't wash the used cups unless you requested. The only good thing I found in this hotel is the WIFI.
- MAN NA (6/5): Good location - Good location, very close to MTR station, and direct line to central, big bathroom; but weak soundproofing, you can hear people talking outside from your room, stain on the quilt cover
- Verified traveler (10/5): The hotel is clean but too small - The room is really small espeacially toilet but its still valuable with the price. If you looking for the place to sleep its okay
- Gramme (6/5): Fairly priced hotel - It is a fairly priced hotel in a central convenient location near Mong Kok and Olympia MTR station. It is very easy to get to McDonald's, laundry and supermarket. Also very convenient to walk to the shopping centres and tourist attractions. However, the rooms are fairly small and the bathroom amentities are not as satisfactory as we wish. Overall, it is a good choice for a budgeted stay.
- John (2/5): A very long night. - If you don.t mind to live in 50 sq. box. This one for you. Right at middle of nowhere besides small shops. Public transportation is hard to get to. The room is falling apart. The phone do.nt work The socket do.nt work.Hair dryer do.nt work. With the price I pay. I have much better choice.
- John (10/5): budget hotel - For Hong Kong, this is a low priced place, The room was not large, but clean. and the staff helpful.
Not a palace, but very nice, Just around the corner from many restaurants including McDonald's.
Not too far to walk to Olympic MTR Station. Nice area.
- Ka But (8/5): Good value for money - The area was clean and easier to access, and should be more so.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Staff refused to do anything to address noisy rooms until you get aggressive with them.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Shower would not drain the water. On the last day there was no cold water at all. The price for the room was outrageous when I got it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good value - Clean and nice hotel. Staff really friendly
- Kevin (8/5): Good value for shut eye - Very good price and convenient location
- jamgutierrez (6/5): Unlucky rooms and a rude staff - The place is surrounded by junk shops but not so bad. There are fast food, groceries and mini mart near to the location which was good. We stayed in two rooms, 1 family room at 303 and a double room at 703. Our double room is okay, clean and has enough space for 2 people but on our 2nd day, the aircon started leaking. The aircon leaking in our double room is tolerable while the aircon leak in the room 703 was not! it was like raining! My friend woke up to her stuff on the dresser soaked (aircon is above the dresser). Now, there is a girl staff who's duty, i believe, is only at night. SHE WAS ALWAYS DOWNRIGHT RUDE. First, we requested for bottles of water since we did not allow the cleaning service in the morning so we did not get refills. She looked in a drawer and then said "LATER I WILL SEND TO YOUR ROOM". 3 hours passed until we went down again, she did not send the water. We did not mention that to her and instead chose to buy our own water. And then when we complained about the leaking aircon, she seemed agitated that we were complaining. We did not shout at her or anything, in fact we were calm and we just requested for her to solve the aircon problem in the room. She said "maybe later i will send someone to check" to which pissed my friend (because of the sending the water incident) and insisted that she look at the room now or send someone because there was already a pool of water on the floor and the dresser is really wet. We put all the towels in the room to absorb it, to which she replied "THEN CHANGE ROOM!" we did not want to go through the trouble of changing rooms and we were on our way out to go somewhere so we asked her if that's the only solution, she said yes. We were all pissed but we tried to compose ourselves because we did not want to be rude so we asked her to just send someone to solve the problem and well, not to our surprise, it was unsolved still when we came back which was already 6am in the morning. It was really disappointing because the 2 guys on duty in the morning / afternoon were very friendly and pleasant, even took time to print out a map for us to where we wanted to go and explained the directions. That girl should not be in customer service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Second time staying here - The staffs are really nice and good attitude. It is not too far away from the MTR station, the room is neat, housekeepers are very quick and polite.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice stay, clean rooms, friendly staff - Street outside is under renovation / bit unhygenic, otherwise okay
- Verified traveler (8/5): Would stay again - Very clean, beds are comfortable. Place is small as expected. Very reasonably priced. Very convenient walking to Olympic shopping centre and MTR, but street where hotel is located is dirty.
- therigorouswanderer (8/5): nice hotel for a space-limited city like HK - we stayed for three nights in the hotel and i really love how they clean and change all towels and sheets every day. some hotels (even higher star-ed ones) only clean the room and doesnt bother changing them for the rest of the guests stays. they also provide free mineral water everyday. the place is even more spacious than most of the hostels in HK. the bathroom is quite wide as well you unlike the others. will definitely recommend this place to everyone!
- MrG (6/5): double bed room was good for the price - the hotel is somewhat renovated but located currently as of June 2017 in a pretty run down street undergoing a lot of construction. from what I can tell, the area will be quite nice when renos are complete as there is a huge condo across from the hotel. the double bed room was clean and had basic ammenities. much better (cleaner and better appointed) than another hotel 36 that I booked after for about the same price. this hotel is located off the beaten track if you use nathan road as a reference but close enough to the metro. Originally I got a room where the AC did not work but the staff was good to switch me to another.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Poor shower and dim light. Yet cheap price - very poor shower. Water either o jot or too cold. Wait there for half an hour without being able to wash myself. This is totally unacceptable.
Very Dim light. District full of smokers and water drips.
Nice staff. swift check in and out process. Reasonable price. generally clean. Just one bin. convenient restaurant on the ground floor
- Johwel (6/5): Ok hotel - We booked a economy double bed room but the bed was too small even though it is suppose to be a double bed which fits two people but not. I guess these are Asians bed sizes for super small people. After a night sleeping on that bed we changed to a family room which is a lot bigger for $400 hkd extra for 4 nights stay. The room have an asian single bed and a double bed, so we put them together to fit us both since hongkong has very small beds compare to America. The WiFi there was kind of slow if your not close to the router and the air conditioner was ok. I would stay there again because it is cheaper than the other hotels in the area.
- kenlenlenlen (6/5): Economy double bed room - We were a couple booking this hotel room thinking it going to fit us both but when we checked in and went to our room it was very small. The bed was a double bed but it looks like a single bed for 1 person to sleep in. The bathroom is also very small and there was no hot water but only cold water. The next day we went down to the lady and ask to be moved to a bigger room and paid $400 hkd for 4 extra nights staying at a family room which is alot bigger with a double bed and a twin bed. We connected the 2 beds so it can fit both of us since we are medium fit people. This room also had cold water and sometimes hot water so the water system in this hotel is not consistent. The internet here is very small of your far from the router, so you need to be very close to the router in order to receive good Internet connection. The A/C here is also not very cold which Is a problem for us since hongkong at this time is very hot outside. I only recommend this hotel if you are on a budget like us but if you want to enjoy your stay at a hotel than look at the 4 or 5 stars hotels within the area.
- Paul (8/5): Okay for short stay - Close to public transport and shops. Rooms clean with basics but good water pressure in shower.
- M (4/5): Great if you only need a place to sleep - Great if you just need a place to sleep. Otherwise not that comfortable. Door was broken and fixed with duck tape. Bathroom was pretty gross and entire place seemed dirty and old. Not up to date at all or renovated. Staff however very polite and helpful.
- Arturo (8/5): It's was good - Overall the place is good the room is to small is just basically for like two people hotel has own restaurant the area is a little dirty but u r pretty close to the trains to get u to the places you need to go
- Verified traveler (4/5): Small rooms, beds, bathrooms!!!! - This hotel is also WAY off the beaten path and has nothing close to it!
- Deferimus (6/5): Small but good to the price - Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights, in an economy double room.
I know things are small in HK, so the idea about a room like this was not to scary.
The room was very small (8m2), with a small double bed, AC, windows, TV and very small bathroom. I would say, if you are 2 big persons, get something bigger – but as 1 person, it was fine. The hotel needs some up shining here and there, but for the price – you can ask for more than you get! The bed was very hard, but it was still okay. The rooms got cleaned daily. It's very well located, in a small side street to the big streets.
