Nothing was wrong with the stay just a few things that I ment - The property was perfectly located for us at the quiet end of Lamai Beach. The in house massages were great. The pool lively and staff amazing! Min and all his team went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. The beds were super comfortable!! It would be nice to have somewhere to relax in the evening other than the restaurant, a small lounge area or similar to have a drink or play cards as a family. We used other businesses nearby due to this but would probably have come back to the hotel after dinner out to do this if an area had been available. Also a gym would be a nice addition, there are a few areas that would be suitable to set up even a simple area.
• Sara (10/5): Merveilleux - Le lieu est vraiment magnifique. Calme et au même temps il y a pleins de petits restaurant à côté. La chambre était silencieuse et le lit vraiment confortable. Le personnel était très agréable. Le seul petit bémol , mais à mon avis cela doit être un problème général sur l’île, c’est l’odeur qui dégage de la salle de bain.

Auch die Feuershow mit BBQ hat uns sehr gefallen. Es sind für die Größe des Hotels zu wenig Liegen vorhanden . Sowohl am Pool, als auch am Strand.

• yorkyibiza (4/5): Certainly NOT 4* - This is NOT 4*!! White Sands could and should be 4*. The location is beach facing, the pool areas are pleasant and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The issue seems to be that it is managed dreadfully and seems to focus on penny pinching rather than good customer service (not 4*). The reception staff are rude and unhelpful (the way they have been trained I guess). I have attached photos to demonstrate the state of the place etc. When we arrived (Friday evening) we were told that our room would not be available until the next day so they were 'upgrading' us. We had booked the room 8 months ago and did not want to move rooms after unpacking. There was no management on site as 'it is the weekend'! Eventually after 30 minutes of phone calls we eventually sorted out a solution. This whole experience is not 4*. We were told they regularly overbook and then try and sort it out. There are two sets of steps to the beach. One is completely dilapidated and blocked off and one is a mess and pretty dangerous (not 4*). The sunbeds on the beach are very old and uncomfortable and no sunbeds have any cushions (not 4*). There are not enough sunbeds and yet the resort invites passing tourists to use the sunbed you have already paid for, for THB500 a day (not 4*). The towels in our room were old, frayed and dirty (not 4*). The quilt (duvet) was old and lumpy and took two changes to find one that wasn't (not 4*). The restaurant furniture is very basic and uncomfortable flat hard wood (not 4*). Housekeeping had to ask permission to give us more tea and coffee as there was only one coffee each and one tea each in our room (not 4*). There is a list of fines on the wall for damage/loss of everything, including even the mattress (I have never seen this in a 4* hotel). There was a power outage by the power company for a whole day (these things happen), which meant breakfast ended an hour early, but apart from a small notice in reception, it was not communicated at all to the rooms (not 4*). The general attitude of the reception staff, the junior managers and even the general manager was the most unprofessional and non hospitality I have ever experienced. We have travelled for 2 months across Malaysia, Borneo and Thailand and this is the worst hotel we have stayed in. It needs some money spending and a complete management overhaul. The staff at the bar/restaurant were great and very customer focused (especially MrA).

Belle piscine avec vue sur la mer Pas de lampe de chevet dans les chambres, juste un spot haut perché ne permettant pas de lire le soir Les balcons des chambres standard donnent sur l’arrière du jardin de l’hôtel voisin (vue pas terrible) Très excentré par rapport au centre de Lamai. Il faut compter 30 mn à pieds le long d’une route fréquentée pour rejoindre le marché de nuit. Ou alors commander une moto sur Grab. Le matin les transats le long de la piscine sont vite occupés.

• StingrayS_12 (8/5): Maximum relaxation in a short time - We booked on short term and were really happy with the place. No need to look for better beaches, our own was really nice. Staff from restaurant and room service was very sweet, we want to mention Mr. MIN, who pampered every guest, a real host! Reception team was partly unpleasant to deal with, just the lady with the covered head was always friendly. The hotel looks a bit „used“ but it is still nice as accommodation.

• Ana (8/5): - Wir hatten einen rundum großartigen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel-Resort. Die Lage ist einfach perfekt – ideal zum Entspannen und Genießen. Die Zimmer waren sehr ruhig, äußerst komfortabel und boten alles, was man für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt braucht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal. Ein großes Lob geht vor allem an den Restaurant- bzw. Barmanager, der mit seiner offenen, herzlichen Art maßgeblich dazu beigetragen hat, dass wir uns jederzeit willkommen und bestens betreut gefühlt haben. Insgesamt ein wunderbares Erlebnis – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! Kein Netflix

• V496JGoliviab (8/5): Calm resort with friendly staff - It is a great resort with friendly and helpful staff, especially the pool guy which was our favorite during our stay. The rooms are clean and nice with good ac and new towels and water every day. Most of the negative parts are out of the hotels control. The reception could be better at English and the sea was not that nice during our stay, but the restaurant and bar staff was very friendly and genuin. Usually you can get a couple of sunbeds if you are up and about a couple hours in the morning. If you are late to the pool and can’t get one, the pool guy will do his best to find a solution. We were there during new years and they put up at great show for us with live music, although you had to pay for the new years buffé and such. The breakfast was great, not that many things to choose from, but the things available were delicious. Overall we had a great experience and especially propps to the amazing restaurant and drinks staff!

Sehr gute Massagen direkt am Strand mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Foyer/Empfang sind wirklich sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig und vermitteln einem beim Ankommen ein falsches Bild von der Anlage.

Massagen in der Nähe. Gepflegte und schöne Atmosphäre. Nicht weit zur aussichtsplattform Wir buchten über Booking, inkl Transfer vom Flughafen. An der Rezeption wollte man dann 800 Baht. Dafür hatten wir extra mehr bezahlt im Vorfeld, sowie bei Booking im Angebot war, aber das wollte man nicht akzeptieren. Unser Zimmer war seeehr hellhörig. Jedes Gespräch, TV, Alles hörte man.

• Geoffrey (9/5): Overall this resort was good choice and location, management just needs to be bit more proactive - Booked 2 x Double rooms at first then upgraded and extended our stay at White Sands Samui Resort We relocated from an adjacent accommodation and were very happy at White Sands Resort, staff and all expectations were met well regarding the resort. Pool area was super, and dinks was on hand, staff were very friendly at all times. massage facilities on premises is professional and reasonable priced. Negative: We decided to stay longer and also upgrade to 2 x Pool side rooms, we had a family member with a mobility constraint and management would not offer a ground floor room to us in the same accommodation block, so elder family member did struggle with the stairs - poor management. Negative: With resort been so quite the restaurant mostly empty resort management should have offered lighter and more affordable meals, for guests. Most of guest had the same concern and would use adjoining resorts for more affordable and smaller meals. Lighter Alla cart breakfast menu was not available Buffet was far to much and not something to be positive on Food was not 100% at times. We decided to stay longer and also upgrade to 2 x Pool side rooms, we had a family member with a mobility constraint and management would not offer a ground floor room to us in the same accommodation block, so elder family member did struggle with the stairs - poor management. Airport transfer should be offered as an included item in these types of resorts, and we did not have a good experience when we left with the resort shuttle, reception gave preference to another guest who was leaving 15minutes before we did, which left us unhappy having to urgently arrange a personal taxi to the airport. Also manager wanted to charge full fare for a shared shuttle which is not acceptable, as we had stayed in 6 different resorts throughout locations in Thailand, and this was not the normal practice

• Vanessa (8/5): Melhor hotel na nossa lua de mel - Definitivamente o melhor destino da nossa lua-de-mel, a localização é soberba. A praia está a 2 metros do restaurante tal como da piscina. Ideal para quem quiser aproveitar o melhor dos três. O pequeno-almoço é magnífico, tem variedade e o serviço é super simpático e prestável. O pessoal todo do hotel foi incrível e fez a nossa estadia memorável. O preço do restaurante é um pouco exagerado, principalmente em relação aos preços em redor. Também falta um pouco mais de oferta vegetariana, num país tão rico em comida vegetariana, gostaríamos de um pouco mais de variedade.

• Da Rocha Freire (8/5): Un moment de détente assuré - Cet hôtel est très bien situé si vous souhaitez profiter de la plage et d'un moment paisible. La plage privée est fabuleuse et l'espace massage est très appréciable ! Plusieurs commerces aux alentours et surtout la proximité avec Lamai. Le personnel est extrêmement attentif et à votre service si vous avez des questions, une location de scooter est possible sur place ! Le petit déjeuner n'est pas exceptionnel et le restaurant un peu cher mais n'hésitez pas à aller manger dans les petits restaurants de bords de plage, ils sont excellents !
• Faye (9/5): Excellent place to relax and enjoy the beach in the day, needs more life in the evening! - The beach and sea are stunning and just on your doorstep. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pool areas are great for families and it was very clean and well maintained. The pool view room was light and airy with high vaulted ceilings, comfortable bed, great bathroom with large shower and bath. Breakfast had a good amount of choice, cocktails were great! Thai massage by the beach was blissful! Its was very quiet, which may have been due to the time if year. During the day it was peaceful but not much going on in the evening nearby. Its a short taxi ride in Lamai centre and they provide a free shuttle service at certain times which was a positive but it would have been better if there were some events at the hotel to create a buzzy atmosphere in the evening so you didn’t have to make the trip into the town every night.

• Stephanie Wolak (8/5): Tolles Hotel in Lamai - Die Lage ist super und direkt am Strand gelegen. Die Poolzimmer sind toll und ruhiger gelegen. Die Deluxe Zimmer haben uns nicht gefallen und wir haben vor Ort ein Upgrad gebucht. Die Lage der normalen DeluxeZimmer hat uns nicht gefallen. Das Gebäude ist sehr hellhörig und jedes Geräuch der Nachbarn war zu hören. Auch die Aussicht vom Balkon ist nicht schön. Man sieht auf Müllberge und ungepflegte Gebäude.
• Julius (1/5): Unseriös, Unhygienisch und absolut nicht empfehlenswert - Das Hotel entspricht nicht den Bildern! Wir haben 4 Nächte gebucht, sind schon nach der 2. Nacht abgereist. Das Hotel entspricht in keiner Weise den Erwartungen die man durch die Bilder online vermittelt bekommt. Der absolute Tiefpunkt: als wir direkt nach Ankunft in unser Zimmer kamen, stellten wir fest, dass die Klimaanlage voller Schimmel war, die Tür einen Spalt hatte durch den Mosquitos kommen können und das Zimmer wirklich schlecht gereinigt wurde. Neben einem großen Fleck auf der Bettdecke war das Bad wirklich nicht sauber, von Kalkflecken in der Dusche bis zur vergilbten Klobrille und braunen Flecken an der Wand. Es war nicht nur schlimm anzusehen sondern man hat sich einfach nicht sicher gefühlt bei den ganzen Hygienischen Mängeln. Zu all dem kommt noch dazu, dass die Bilder online lediglich den modernen vorderen Teil zeigen. Die meisten Zimmer sind im hinteren Gebäude, welches komplett heruntergekommen und nicht einladend aussieht. Wenn man zuerst ankommt erkennt man das Hotel kaum wieder, es grenzt an arglistige Täuschung. Die beste Entscheidung war es 2 Nächte vorher abzureisen, Geld zurück gab es keins und das Personal hatte auch kein einziges Mal für die Umstände entschuldigt. Dass das Zimmer komplett lieblos eingerichtet war und die “Garden View” ein Blick auf das heruntergekommene Nachbarsgrundstück war, ist unser kleinstes Problem gewesen.

A big thank you to the entire hotel team for their kindness and warm welcome, and especially to MIN, who is truly a gift from heaven.

Parcheggio con solo una decina di posti ma la maggior parte delle persone non noleggia l'auto quindi è sempre bastato. Colazione nel complesso buona e abbondante, servita nell'area ista spiaggia. Abbondanza di lettini in piscina e sulla spiaggia. camere spaziose e bagno moderno e servito, mancava però asciugacapelli La zona della vita notturna di Lamai è a 15 minuti a piedi o 5 minuti e 6e con Grab (Uber locale), mentre la zona dell'hotel offre solo qualche ristorantino e la sera è un pò spenta
• Thomas (8/5): Leuk voor een paar dagen - Fijne, ruime kamer. Lekker zwembad en fijn strand. Kamer werd iedere dag schoongemaakt. Ontbijt ben je na 2 dagen klaar mee. Lamai centrum is 20minuten lopen, maar goed te doen! Hapjes en drankjes relatief duur vergeleken met de buren.

• Erwin (8/5): Lekker verblijf voor een paar dagen rust aan zee - Zeer ruime moderne kamer aan het zwembad, gelegen vlak aan zee/strand. Heerlijk. Enige nadeel is dat er In de omgeving op loopafstand niet veel is te doen, ligging ca 12 minuten van Nathon met de taxi.

Maar uiteindelijk hebben zij met ons mee gedacht en toch de kamer die wij hadden langer konden behouden tot wij de taxi moesten hebben. Nou dat nou ik nou een echte service die wij hebben gekregen. • Chris (10/5): Heerlijk verblijf met de familie aan zee - Heerlijk ontbijt! Na 4 weken rondreizen door Thailand hebben we hier echt het beste ontbijt gehad. Ruime, stille kamers met een heerlijk bed. Mooi zwembad aan zee. Tevens zeer vriendelijk personeel. Gelukkig niet in Lamai zelf gezeten, het is hier lekker rustig en schoon. Om de hoek een aantal zeer leuke restaurantjes. De “handdoekleggers” in de ochtend.

• Guy karp (10/5): - בריכה מעולה צמודה לים, חוף נקי ונעים עם חול, על החוף עמדה עם 8 מיטות עיסוי, מעסות מעולות במחיר 400 באט לשעה, ארוחת בוקר טובה מאד מול הים והבריכה, צוות נחמד מאד ורוצה לעזור (למרות שהטעו אותנו פעמיים בטעות), אפשר לשבת בבריכה כל היום, היא מאד נקיה ונעימה, מקלחת גדולה מאד, מיטה ענקית היה קצת בלבול בחדרים בהתחלה, קיבלנו חדר פחות טוב משהזמנו, אבל בקטנה, כרגיל בתאילנד זרם הצים במקלחת חלש

• 940jom (10/5): Nice Hotel - We had a truly wonderful stay at the White Sand Hotel. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist, even with problems that were not directly related to the hotel. We were particularly impressed when a staff member immediately stepped in after a man on the beach behaved inappropriately – he made sure that the man didn’t come back, which made us feel very safe. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The hotel has a perfect beachfront location, which is a big plus. You can also see that the hotel is being renovated and improved regularly. The prices are fair, and the food is very good – the breakfast was excellent! Minor drawbacks: The air conditioning is placed directly above the bed, which can be a bit uncomfortable at night. Also, the bed linen wasn’t changed even though it was dirty (from us) – something that could have been done, but it’s just a small point. Despite these little issues, we can say without hesitation: We will definitely come back!

• Louis (9/5): - Nice location and pool. Helpful friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. Very good breakfast. There was some minor maintenance ongoing. This is necessary and understandable. The only issue for us was that the fitness room was closed during our stay. We also found that the restaurant prices were a little high. We would have eaten there more often had they been a bit lower.
