The beauty of high end hotels is how they attempt to cater to their clients whims making them feel special and pampered, beyond simply offering lodging. Maja’s staff is more inclined to make your stay ordinary without striving for excellence. There are better choices in the historic center where one is truly spoiled.

The hospitality and customer service were beyond fantastic. I am so grateful to the entire staff for their kindness, friendliness, and helpfulness during our stay, they truly went above and beyond. Further, the hotel itself is stunning, it is an oasis and a total joy to spend time during the day and also a great place to come back after a day of exploring, the restaurant on-site offers great coffee, food, and drinks, it has beautiful views from the outdoor seating! We couldn't wait to try a range of different dishes each day! The bedroom was comfortable, clean spacious, and lovely! I couldn't love this spot more. The only thing to note getting into the historic center requires a car or Uber, but they were always readily available and affordable for the 10-15min drive. Thank you so much Maja for a wonderful stay, I would love the chance to visit again and you have really set the standards very high for any other hotels going forward.

- Alejandro (2/5): - reserve una habitación y cuando llegamos el personal amablemente nos condujo a ella y nos ofrecieron una bebida de cortesía, ahí empezó todo, la habitación tenia cucarachas cerca del baño y el tarro donde venia la bebida estaba sucio de labial, nos ofrecieron un upgrade y cuando llegamos a la nueva habitación muy bonita por cierto, de nuevo varias cucarachas en la regadera y el lavabo del baño, finalmente nos cambiaron de nuevo de habitación ya sin problema de cucarachas, pero al día siguiente muy temprano empezaron a preparar unas desayuno justo debajo de esta habitación haciendo demasiado ruido, horrible experiencia y detalles que un hotel boutique no se debería permitir
- MissTea777 (10/5): Our New Favorite Boutique Hotel! - We stayed at Maja Hotel Boutique last week and it was our first trip ever to Morelia. This hotel blew us away! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and immaculately landscaped with green lawns, flowers and fruit trees. Everywhere you look is beauty! The rooms are so cozy and comfortable, we slept so well each night. The food is AMAZING! We couldn't believe how incredible the menu choices were and the food was just outstanding! I wish I could eat there everyday of my life! The staff at Maja are also so kind and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back again!

Just an example, my wife wanted to change the cheese on one of their delicious salads, the waiter have the chef come over to our table and discuss with my wife what cheese would go better with that specific type of salad. Just the perfect ploce stay there forever...

Food I will say is a bit overprice , taste is average but high end presentation . Drinks are ok.Ambience is perfect no matter what the occasion is( I invite my sister and two adult nieces). Service is perform by young guys that I think were having a miscommunication issues, and the reason I mentioned it is because it happens like 3 times that one server took an order and a few minutes later another guy came to do the same thing and it took sometime between orders to get our order, don’t get me wrong, Isaac our server was really knowledgeable and very kind, he even gave us a small tour thru the hotel, 👍👍. Last but not least the place has a great view of the city. 👍👍👍 and Yes, I will come back!!

I was having stomach issues the first day and the staff made me a special tea and soup to help me feel better. The entire staff was so friendly. It felt like I was staying with family. We went during the holidays and it felt super cozy. The food is outstanding. The best hotel food I've ever had...Some of the best meals I've ever had. The restaurant wait staff were so incredible. Our room was beautiful and super comfortable. We also received wonderful massages. The staff helped us organize our covid test which was super helpful. Also, I love where the hotel is located. The last time we went to Morelia we stayed in town but this time we wanted to try something different. It's situated on a hill and looks out to the Centro. It's super easy to get downtown. I can't say enough good things about Maja. My husband and I LOVED it.

- Megan (10/5): - Absolutely wonderful hotel, five star service and amenities. We were greeted with a welcome drink (coffee and fresh green juice were our choices). The design and ambiance is gorgeous, both antique and contemporary. The rooms are each unique and cozy, and ours had a wonderful view. We loved the robes, slippers, soft towels and very comfortable large beds. Loved the reading lights and nice toiletries. Dinner was delicious and inventive, and breakfast was so thoughtfully and beautiful prepared and tasty. A standout was our experience with the spa. The masseuses are extremely talented here - some of the best, most healing massages we have ever had. Don’t skip the massage! We wished we had done 1.5 hours instead of just 1. The receptionist was also very accommodating. We enjoyed room service and attentive care. We were so comfortable at this hotel and loved the view - we even got to see fireworks over Morelia from our window for a holiday. We wish we could return soon!

For the first time in my hotel experience, the pictures on the hotel's website didn't overly deliver my expectations. It was quite the contrary, the pictures cannot capture the beauty of this hotel. The decor was masculine, with lots of dark earthy colors with the elements of wood, leather, and metal, creating a cozy atmosphere. The food that the restaurant offered was simple but delicious and fresh including the complimentary breakfast, perfect for starting the day. The room was spacious and comfortable with a view overlooking Morelia and the courtyard. The beds were so comfortable I didn't want to get up in the morning. And of course, my favorite service the Turndown, which is my favorite service in Luxury Hotels. I've also received daily carwash. Maja Hotel was beyond excellent. I highly recommend it, no matter the occasion. Thank you Maja Hotel Staff, for making my stay so wonderful.

Accommodation and restaurant were excellent but what made Maja Hotel Boutique even more memorable were the incredibly helpful and friendly staff. After 3 days we felt like we were saying good-bye to friends. Truly an exceptional experience and views of the city from this hilltop hotel are fantastic.

Great breakfast starting with different kind of fruits and then with the Mexican breakfast. The place is very nice to relax and enjoy the nice jazz music with a fine drink by the pool. And the service was great and I enjoyed every minutes I spent there.
- Paul_Phoenix (10/5): Amazing hotel in Morelia - We stayed at the Maja Hotel for our wedding anniversary over the US Labor Day weekend. This was our second stay at the hotel. Once again it was an amazing experience. It is truly one of the best boutique hotels we have experienced around the world. The rooms are luxurious, unique and spacious. The grounds and common places or beautiful, inviting and impeccably maintained. The staff couldn’t be more friendly. Fernanda and Oscar at the front desk were so helpful and will arrange anything you need. We had Pablo take us on a day trip to Patzcuaro, which is a fantastic colonial town ~45 min from Morelia. The location of the Maja Hotel on the slopes above the city is very beautiful as well, with the views and quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the town below. We had wonderful breakfast and dinner on the patio overlooking the city. The historic center is amazing and within walking distance. We will definitely return to the Maja on our next trip to Morelia. An amazing place, thank you Maja!

Siento que el área del alberca podría ser mejor porque en las fotos te da la impresión que está más grande y más completa. También le hace falta subir la temperatura unos 3 o 4 grados. El desayuno y comida muy rica. Fuimos en familia y las camas de los niños no estaban muy cómodas y hay una tragaluz en el cuarto que deje entrar todo la luz en la mañana.

At our arrival by car, we where greeted by the owner, the manager and the sub manager. We felt very, very welcome. As we began to explore the hotel and our room, we could not believe this place! The design and architecture of this small and lovely boutique will fascinate you. The food and the service was truly outstanding. At no time did we feel unattended. Otto, will enchant you with her prime service. We left satisfied to our hearts. We definitely found peace and tranquillity in Maja. A beautiful place that we will proactively recommend.
- EchoandStacey (10/5): - Run! Don't walk to this property. I have NEVER in my life been treated so wonderfully than at the Maja Boutique Hotel. This review is 3 months old. We arrived the last week of January and were newly engaged (LGBTQ+). We flew in after sun down. Neither of us speak a lick of spanish. Its like that didn't matter. We used google translate and that was enough. At this property, you recieve the most amazing service! When we finally emerged from our sleep the next afternoon, we were greated and had snacks IMMEDIANTLY!!!! Then they took our order, we found a cozy spot outside, drank and snacked and were completly taken care of. We received the best advice for local resturants and the front desk set up our departure Uber to the airport. I have recommended this place to everyone I know. If you don't want to be stuck in a tourist trap, get here. I will 100% be back with friends.

This hotel was beyond our expectations and each day it became harder and harder to leave! The breakfast menu offers an array of fresh tasty items... dinner or drinks around the pool was spectacular! Beds are very comfortable and linen, amenities are high quality along with the décor! This is a MUST to see and ENJOY!
