Was central to Reykjavik with good public transport connections and an easy work to most locations. Bonus supermarket just a short walk away. Owner kept us up to date before arrival and quick to reply while there. That we only had three nights, but hope to return one day

• Andreas (8/5): Apartment in Top-Lage zu einem sehr guten Preis-/Leistungs-Verhältnis - Das Apartment befindet sich wirklich in einer Top-Lage, Einkaufs- Essens- und Parkmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe vorhanden. Es ist für isländische Verhältnisse ausreichend groß für vier Personen. Das Preis-/Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Es sind zu wenige Kochutensilien und zu wenige Gläser vorhanden. Weiterhin gibt es nur kleine Tassen. Das Geschirr war alles andere als sauber, wir mussten einiges vor der Benutzung spülen. Die Betten sind mit mehr als 2m angegeben, sind aber ziemlich kurz (1,80m).

I just have a small suggestion: it would be great to have a vacuum cleaner for quick cleaning, along with more tissues in the bathroom and extra garbage bags.

As to the quality of the apt I have no idea as we were unable to gain entrance to the bldg with the PIN provided. Additionally the phone number provided went to a taped response stating that no one was available at that number. ( I even had a local passerby use his phone to call in case my service provider was a fault) After an hour I contacted Booking and was referred back to the failed number. Finally as it was getting late as it seemed hopeless we booked another hotel and walked away from our 940.90 Euro payment. I have since tried the phone number and got the same response! This whole arrangement was a disaster Simply gaining access to the rooms we paid for would have been a start

• Ilaria (9/5): - L’appartamento è davvero molto bello, accogliente, con spazi perfetti per due persone. La posizione ottimale anche per raggiungere le fermate dei bus per eventuali tour. Si trova sulla strada principale però non nel caos. Purtroppo abbiamo avuto esperienza spiacevole con lo staff in quanto due elettrodomestici non hanno funzionato. In particolare, il freezer era spento e ce ne siamo accorti solo dopo aver posizionato la spesa, che abbiamo dovuto buttare. La lavastoviglie aveva un problema che non la rendeva utilizzabile. Nel comunicare tali problematiche ci sono sentiti presi molto in giro in quanto ci hanno detto che avrebbero risolto ma ciò non è mai avvenuto. Per il resto l’appartamento merita davvero.

Kitchen had the basic tools, easy to have meals in the apartment All was good. Some tourists may not like the sulfur smell from the tap water but since it's Iceland this is expected, we managed with opening the toilet windows after showers to air it a little.

• Nancy (8/5): Once we settled in was a great spot to experience Reykavic. - Great location. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Large fro t room. There is no front desk staff and communication with the hotel representative was very difficult and time consuming. They will not give any early check-in without extra cost even if noone was in the apartment the night before. And will not give a morning check-in even if one offets to pay.

• Christine Yih Jing (8/5): It can be better - walking distance to the church and rainbow street, bus stop #9 was just outside the apartment very bad smell at toilet sewage and kitchen sink. there is no freezer,my kids bought tub of ice-cream and can't store unfinished tub. kitchen towel paper only given less than half a roll, no tissue paper box provided not even a first box as complimentary. overall I felt the 2 bedroom Apartment was overpriced considering the lacking in the above.

• James (9/5): Downtown convenience of an apartment that makes you feel like you are not living out of a suitcase. - Great for those who are having a longer stay and need to recover, like a haven that allows you to venture into downtown while your smalls are being washed. The tip about parking was quite the saving on parking in Reykjavik. You are only a short walk of food and shopping. There was a little miscommunication between myself, admin and the cleaning crew. The fridge worked but the freezer wasn’t. Not a problem for a short stay or on a cold night.

• Kathryn (9/5): Great self contained Apartment in fab location. - Perfect location. Right in Downtown Reykjavik. Close to bars restaurants and transport. Nearest bus stop in bus stop 9 which is 2 min walk. Clean, has all amenities. Oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, washing machine, dryer. Read the manual left. Its tells you everything you need to know. Be aware Iceland is very expensive, no reflection on this apartment. Its excellent value for money. My only issue was that there is no luggage storage, which it states on the advert there is. We ended up having find other luggage storage and paying, which was a real pain. No luggage storage that we could see. Also couldn't find a number to ask about it.

The check-in instructions were easy and clear, and we were able to check in smoothly. The handbook provided was very helpful. Parking for disabled badge holders right behind apartments in front of police station, at no charge. Good communication with the host who responds quickly to any queries. Bus stops to side of apartments for tour pick ups. Highly recommended. Took a walk downtown and saw the lights!! What a bonus. Surrounded by good restraunts. Really happy with the location & apartment.

El apartamento tiene de todo lo que puedes necesitar (microondas, secadora, incluidos), es amplio, tiene bastante luz, la cama es grande... Y fue fácil acceder. También fue fluida la comunicación con la encargada. Podría mejorarse el cuidado del baño, que había algunos restos de moho, y no nos resultó especialmente cómoda la cama, aunque es cuestión de gustos, por supuesto.

• Paul (10/5): - Very spacious and clean apartment with everything we needed for a short stay. Very useful having a washing machine and dryer to be able to reuse clothes. The balcony was also great. Great location in a quiet part of the city but close to the main shopping area and bus stop number 9 for day trips and the bus transfer to the airport. Very modern, clean and stylish apartment. All good.
• Gregory (8/5): - One especially nice thing here was how quiet it was, with virtually no traffic noise especially since this part of Laugavegur is pedestrian only. Just about everything was nice inside the apartment, including the furnishings, the washer / dryer, the kitchen appliances, the TV, and the decoration. I appreciated having the elevator in the building too. The kitchen could have a few more pots and pans, and the knives were dull (fortunately I was able to sharpen them a little). Replace the plastic water boiler with a stainless steel one, and fix the soap dispenser in the shower. A fan would be nice to have in the summer since fresh air only comes in from the balcony window. It would be nice both from Booking.com and hosts if there were a price reduction for longer term rentals. It seems the price is competitive for short term stays but less so for longer term stays. Lastly there was a recommendation for Blue Car Rental as part of the welcome e-mail - I cannot agree with this recommendation as my experience with them was not so great.
• Rita (9/5): A lovely place to stay - My friend and I rented a two bedroom apartment for 6 nights in July 2025. The apartment was clean, modern, and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. There was also a wash machine. Directions to how everything worked was on the kitchen table and that was also helpful. I would recommend this property. A few things...when contacting the property there was always a different person answering. Made for some confusion along the way. Also, VERY difficult to locate the apartment as it is NOT labeled. It was simply between two stores and it took quite some time to figure out where it was. We went to several other hotels first. Also, in the bathroom shower there was no shelf to put toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, etc. A simple shelf installed in the shower would have been nice. Also there were no tissues in the apartment. The cost was outrageous, I felt! I realize we were there in their high season but we paid $3400 for 6 nights! the location was nice. Not directly in the center of things but easily could walk to anywhere. We liked the fact that it was so quiet. Close to bus stop 9 was convenient also.l

• Lisa (9/5): Nice apartment withing walking distance of most sights in RKV - Apartment was in a great location within walking distance of most of downtown RKV (the old harbor is a bit out of range). Neighborhood is safe and has many restaurants and conveniences within a few blocks. Elevator to get to apartment is a big bonus. Was a decent price for 4 people in the heart of the city. Living areas were comfortable and clean. Kitchen and bath were missing a few basic amenities that we had to buy, like a hand towel, extra trash bags, and shower soap. Second bedroom with two twins is cramped and would be better for a family with children, rather than the 2 adult couples that we had in our party. Beds and pillows were a bit uncomfortable and bathroom was on the small side. I do realize that this was an apartment in a downtown area and those do run smaller, it still felt like it wasn't quite there to give a higher rating.

The location is great (right across from bus stop #9, which is always an option for bus tours and the bus back to the airport). It was a big help to keep our luggage in the storage room before checking in. The view is nice since it's on the fourth floor. It's also in a quiet location right off of the main street. I would definitely recommend staying here 😊 It would be ideal to have a microwave (more useful than an oven for a short period) and having tissues in the apartment would be helpful.

• Tierney (10/5): Fabulous break in Iceland. Highly recommend. - The apartment is in a great location in the heart of Reykjavik, with a 24 hour supermarket across the road. Despite the central location, it was very quiet. It was very clean and had all the essentials - shower gel, shampoo, towels, dishwasher tablets, coffee, sugar etc. The bed was very comfortable. There was lots of parking, at reasonable rates, in the area for our hired car. Communication from our host was excellent before and during our stay. A folder in the apartment had lots of advice on parking, local shops, buses etc. Our host thought of everything - even carrier bags to bring to the shops. I liked that we didn't have to throw away unused items that we had purchased. They were left for other visitors to use. This is not always the case in holiday accommodation and is a waste. Not an improvement but maybe something to note. When paying for goods by card in Iceland, you sometimes get an option to pay in Euro or Krona. We were advised by two restaurants to choose the Krona option to get a better exchange rate. Maybe this is something that can be added to the welcome/information folder in the apartment (if this is correct advice).

Kitchenette was basic but well equipped with a small cooktop , oven was great , and a small but big enough fridge , washer and dryer in bathroom made life much easier everything made this place very comfortable , the balcony was cozy and comfortable , Everything was great , the only thing that I could pick was the bathroom being awkward to access the door being right at the base of the bed , was difficult to get around the bottom and side of the bed but lucky I'm small and didn't worry me too much , maybe a small broom to keep floors clean would have been handy but we managed
