Raymond (7/5): Clean, modern “minshu” in Hengcun old town that’s great for families and drivers - New, clean with a modern design (with chic decor from amazon). The decor is a tad cliched but its a major improvement over most other properties in Taiwan - which tend to look old fashioned and stuck in the 1970-1980s. it’s expensive for what it is (but that’s Taiwan for you). Good location if you are driving as its off the main N-S road in the area. not as good if you are on foot as it is a 15mins walk away from “old street” where all the action is. there is parking at the Thai restaurant nearby. the aircon is centrally provided and thus isn’t as responsive compared to an individual unit. it blows directly at the bed, which may not work for some folks.
