• afteractionreview (8/5): Clean, Spacious Suites but Noise From Nearby Drive-Through - What I liked: The Aspen Suites Hotel in Kenai was very clean, and the suites were huge with plenty of space to be comfortable. You can tell the furniture is newer and well maintained — even the drawers looked new and had protective liners, which showed attention to cleanliness and detail. Overall, the room felt fresh and well cared for. What I didn’t like: My room was on the third floor at the very end of the building, closest to the McDonald’s drive-through. Unfortunately, the drive-through speaker was loud and clearly audible in the room throughout the night, which made it difficult to sleep. Overall: Aside from the noise issue due to room location, the hotel itself was comfortable, clean, and spacious. I would consider staying here again, but would definitely request a quieter room next time.

Only complaint was not enough water pressure in the shower. If you have thick hair you cannot put in a water saving shower head. Can’t rinse out the conditioner.

I don’t get down to Kensington often but I have always check Aspen in Kwai first to see if there is a room available. Everyone has always been so concerned with the cleanliness of the rooms, the lobby , entry and coffee area. The computer area is comfortable and accessible

• 159vc (2/5): Non responsive staff - The room was spacious and clean. No problems there. I was on the 3rd floor. The were a group of children running up and down the hall and yelling and screaming at night. I waited about 30 to 40 minutes then called the front desk to ask them to have it stopped. They stated they were aware and would “try to say something “! It continued for almost another hour. It started again at 7:30 am. When I checked out and complained the front desk said they were aware of the issue. I would advise not staying at this location as the staff are not responsive to a quiet environment. Terrible responses.

Should think about offering breakfast even if it is coffee, juice, donuts and muffins or bagels. The only thing I would say is change the comforters to something less scratchy.

Better suited for business or longer stay than overnight with full kitchenette. Comfy beds and pillows made for a good night’s sleep.

• seazthedaj (10/5): Strongly Recommend Aspen Suites - We’re in Alaska to drive around and see the state for 2 weeks+ and making reservations as we go. A little risky, and we hear “sorry, we’re full” at some locations, but so far it’s worked. We haven’t had to sleep in the car. We were pleasantly surprised with Aspen Suites - not only did they have a room with 2 queens available, but the room was clean, roomy, and had everything we needed, including a refrigerator. Staff was congenial and prompt, and we really enjoyed our night there.

The blackout curtains were nice. Plenty of parking. McDonald’s and gas station in the parking lot. Decoration could use an update, but other than otherwise everything was great.

The kitchenettes are well appointed for basic cooking. Everything was just awesomely clean and the staff was quick to handle any issue. Easy distances to the Kenai River and many hiking and fishing spots. Right across the highway from a Safeway. This hotel checks all the boxes for a very pleasant stay. Thank you!
