Despite multiple complaints, there was no proper resolution. Service was equally poor. A staff member knocked on our door late at night without prior permission to fix a phone issue, which was very uncomfortable. Overall, this stay did not meet basic hygiene or service expectations. - Bhavana (8/5): Good place for a peaceful stay - I was in pain and was in need of ice pack at 3 am, the staff understood and provided me with a makeshift ice pack by putting ice cubes in a bag and stapling it. Remaining staff was all courteous and helpful too particularly Shantanu at breakfast. He understood the instructions and delivered exactly what we asked for. Loved the scrambled eggs, they were creamy and the best we’ve had. Vada was very nice, well cooked, crispy and very less oil. By the standards of ITC breakfast could have been better. Filter coffee didn’t even taste like coffee and there was no other option for coffee. Pastries were not appealing and looked too much like maida.

Fitness and gaming centre was under renovation. So except for swimming pool and private beach, we could do no other activities. Staff were polite but always took time to attend. Would have appreciated if guests were allowed to use chairs on the beach.

Что-то среднее между 3 и 4 звездами. Отель убитый. Номер осень темный, простои светильники прикроватные, т.к. у кровати в изголовье света нет. Темно! Ванная комната не очень чистая. Стеклянные двери в душевой не отмыты, в подтеках засохших. В Ресторане стойкий запах кухни. Официанты не расторопны. Забывают заказы, приходилось или ждать долго или перезаказывать у других официантов. Отель рассчитан на свадьбы и различные симпозиумы. Но нам повезло. Были дожди, и свадьба на свежем воздухе не состоялась. Но на следующий день, когда дождя не было, мы поняли, что при хороших погодных условиях ночь была бы бессонной. Не посоветую данный отель .

Для индийцев было холодно ( январь). Не понятно кто присвоил этому отелю 5 звезд. Даже 4 звезды можно поставить с большой натяжкой. Не понравилось много, поверьте, этот отель что-то среднее между 3 и 4 звездами. Кто привык к хорошим 5-кам даже не просматривайте этот отель, как вариант. В ресторане при заказе официанты забывают сразу же , что мы заказывали . Ждали долго. В самом ресторане стойкий запах кухни . Пляжа как такового нет. Да и купаться в океане небезопасно. Постоянные волны.

- Vandana (10/5): A peaceful and delightful stay marked by warm hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and perfect beach - A truly beautiful hotel with direct access to a stunning private beach. The staff were exceptionally polite, friendly, and always ready to help. The food was fantastic, and we especially loved relaxing each night at the outdoor bar-restaurant, listening to the sound of the waves. The swimming pool was refreshing, and the breakfast spread was hearty and delicious every morning. Our ground-floor room felt like a cozy studio apartment, surrounded by lush greenery, which made the stay even more serene. The location is perfect too—just minutes away from the Shore Temple and other major attractions in Mahabalipuram. Seriously cant think of anything that we did not like.

The pool looked great and quite a few people were enjoying using it. The wait staff in the restaurant looked just too overworked I think. I think a couple may have been ill as well.

- ckbalac (4/5): Nice property, but deceptive business practices and poor customer service - We are writing our review after a disappointing experience at the ITC WelcomHotel. There were several notable issues, but we will start with the positives. The rooms were well maintained, and we enjoyed the buffet. The property is beautiful, and our view of the ocean from our room was lovely. Now, the issues. The most significant problem was the pool closure which we were not notified of prior to our stay. We booked our stay well in advance, in April 2025, for our stay in June 2025. The website did not state plans for pool closure upon time of booking. We received no email notification, no phone call, no communication regarding the pool closure. In preparation for our travel from the United States, my father in law called the hotel one week before check-in to make sure the property was in order and the reservation confirmed. No mention of pool closure. At check in, we were still not notified of the closure, yet the front desk staff still gladly took our cash payment in full. It was halfway through our second day, as we were getting ready to go to the pool, that we noticed the pool was completely closed. We tried to make the best of our stay anyway, but there was not much we could do outside of the room during the day, as we were traveling with three young children who were relying on a pool to stay cool. At check out, we mentioned our grievances to the manager, who offered a mere 20% off of our additional/incidental charges incurred during the stay. No reduction on the room rate, which would’ve been a satisfactory resolution to us. We shared our deep disappointment with their customer experience decision, but that did not seem to matter. Knowing we booked this holiday for an international vacation traveling from abroad, the failure to notify us of the pool closure was bad service as best, and an intentionally deceptive decision at worst. If management sees this review and attempts to rectify, we will update this review. We would not stay here again because of their deceptive business practices and poor customer service.

Coordinated with Mr.Jawahar and Mr.Jakir took great care of us and our requests. Mr.Jakir was very calm and listened to each of our requests. Had a great time in the evening all thanks to Mr.Jakir.

- peterbV6515OL (4/5): So much potential, but an hotel sadly lacking is so many ways - First impressions upon arrival at an hotel are crucial. This hotel was easily the worst in reception and service in a trip we have just concluded in India and Sri Lanka. Checking in was protracted and tedious. Our room was reasonable - but pretty much “at the end of road”. No view at all. In fact one of our group did not even have a window. The beach is its drawcard and there are lovely spots to eat and have a drink there. However service was patchy. The main restaurant was lamentable. So- the place looks good, and could be good, but it seems solidly unable to reach acceptable levels of service.

- Apparaomrg (2/5): No value for money. - I stayed from October 15th to October 18th. I was shocked by the overall experience. Certainly not worth the money paid for the stay. In the room, the light switches are on one side of the beds, including the reading lights. It is a great inconvenience. The plugs to charge the devices are on the other side of the beds. The room does not have USB charge receptacles—a great inconvenience in the modern day. In the bathroom, there is only one face towel for two people in the room. On Thank god that there were two bath towels. On the final day, I did not get hot water. I complained at 8 am, and it was not set right until I checked out. On the first evening, the buffet was cold. I realised that the staff are poorly trained. Overall, it is not worth the money charged.
