• Alicja (8/5): Polecam, na pewno wybrałabym ten nocleg ponownie przy następnej wizycie w Rzymie. - Bardzo spokojna i bezpieczna lokalizacja, dzięki czemu nie było strachu jeśli chodzi o wieczorne/nocne powroty do domu. Bardzo blisko Watykanu, w okolicy wiele sklepów i lokalnych restauracji. Bardzo blisko stacja metra oraz dobrze skomunikowane autobusy miejskie. Bardzo dobry kontakt z gospodarzem, dostałam odpowiedź na wszystkie pytania i wątpliwości. Czystość pokoju zachowana. Stosunek jakości do ceny bardzo dobry - biorąc pod uwagę ceny w Rzymie. Zdjęcia z Booking, nieco odbiegały od stanu rzeczywistego pokoju, niestety na niekorzyść, jednak nam to nie przeszkadzało, gdyż większość czasu i tak byliśmy poza mieszkaniem, dla nas ważniejsza była lokalizacja noclegu, jednak myślę, że warto o tym napisać, żeby inni nie byli zawiedzeni.
• Martín Gabriel (5/5): - Buena ubicacion. No es el centro storico pero esta cerca del metro y paradas de bus. Se puede llegar a pie al Vaticano. El barrio es tranquilo. El trato con el host, podria haber respondido mas rapido y haber aclarado algunas cosas de antemano (como que la tasa turistica habia que pagarla en efectivo o revolut, para los no europeos entonces solo era viable en efectivo). Algunas cosas de la habitación son mejorables, como la comodidad de las camas, cierta humedad en el baño y en los techos.
• Mark (5/5): Disappointing stay - misleading listing and lack of basic hospitality - Location We stayed here for four nights (22-26 April) during my wife's birthday trip to Rome and booked based on the photos and description on Booking.com. Unfortunately, reality was very different. The biggest issue: in four nights the room was not cleaned once. No housekeeping, no fresh towels, no toilet paper refill, nothing. For a three-star guest house this is simply not acceptable. The room looked reasonable at first glance, but maintenance and cleanliness were disappointing: mould in the bathroom, dust, dirty coffee cups, damaged sockets, unsafe-looking extension cords and very amateurish repairs. Several advertised amenities were missing or unavailable: no air conditioning, no hairdryer, no TV remote, and the airport shuttle mentioned online did not appear to exist in practice. Communication was poor. Questions through Booking.com were not properly answered, including about our late arrival, and check-in had to be arranged via WhatsApp and codes. Functional, but not welcoming or professional. We only met the owner briefly halfway through our stay. Most disappointing was that the photos on Booking do not reflect the current condition of the property. Rome was wonderful, but this accommodation was a letdown. With better maintenance, honest representation and basic hospitality, this place could be much better. Given the significant gap between advertisement and reality, we believe the listing should be updated to accurately reflect the current condition of the property.

• SOPHIA (5/5): The staff was very helpful and polite - I would recommend this place in terms of location and low price compared to the - The location The building and the facilities were poorly maintained, it had been renovated years ago- the pictures depicted a descent room with a nice atmosphere - our bedroom was spacious but the window viewed a scaffolding which covered the entire building so we couldn’t open the shutters . The rest of the facilities were also nearly acceptable for the price . It reminded me of youth hostels I used to stay when I was traveling with a backpack.

The room was not ready because they didn't have sheets for the bed so we had to wait until somebody from the staff went to buy the sheets and made the bed

Appartement un peu vieillot, notamment les sanitaires mais décoration vintage qui mettait en valeur cet aspect ancien. Bon contact avec le gérant, mais uniquement par téléphone. Un peu bruyant le soir.

• Dave (5/5): Si vous aimez un propriétaire fantôme.. - Près du métro et du Vatican. On avait précisé que nous arrivions à 13h00 et il n'y avait personne pour nous accueillir. On avait des demandes spéciales et rien n'a été fait. Nous n'avons vu personne pendant notre séjour de 5 jours.

• ANTONIO (8/5): - Boa estadia. Localização privilegiada para quem prioriza a visita ao Vaticano, mas mesmo para outros destinos tem uma estação de metrô muito perto. Deixou a desejar somente na conservação do quarto (havia alguns pisos soltos) e talvez na limpeza do banheiro, mas não tive problemas com roupas de cama ou banho. Havia no quarto um micro-ondas e uma chaleira elétrica, e nas dependências do apartamento uma máquina de café à disposição e alguns outros itens, como um ferro de passar. O prédio possui um elevador que cabe até umas duas pessoas por vez, não mais, mas o andar baixo da acomodação ajuda a não precisar dele o tempo todo.

• Isaac (10/5): Comfortable place - The room was comfortable and great. There was a fridge and microwave oven. Cups and mugs were provided too. There was a corkscrew and beer bottle opener Toiletries are more than enough. There were bar soaps, two in one shampoo and shower gel. You get a room in an Italian condo apartment however I am not sure if this is how a tropical Italian apartment is designed. I can say however that you are living in an area where the locals really are staying in The host was friendly and helpful. Short walk to the Vatican!

• Carlota (8/5): We liked it and would recommend it, but some things still need fixing. - The location was great and we had lots of privacy. The room was comfortable and had a great balcony. The street was quiet so we could sleep really well. The AC also worked really well. They also gave us little bottles of shower gel and shampoo which was really nice. The Wi-Fi wasn’t the best, could have been better. There was a shelf in the bathroom that was almost fully broken. The room wasn’t as expected, since it wasn’t very similar to the photos. The main entrance to the apartment wasn’t easy to close or open, which can be unsafe.

We walked from the hotel to the Vatican, which is very close, and then we continued walking and arrived at the Colosseum. It is very well located.

• Nathalie Evelyne (8/5): - Le manque d'isolation fait que nous entendons tout ce qui se passe dans la rue malgré la fenêtre fermée. Je ne sais pas s'il y avait un bar pas loin car nous donnions sur une rue passante mais beaucoup de bruit 2 soirs de suite jusque environ 2h du matin donc pas beaucoup dormi. Sinon pour le reste c'est correct. Nous n’avons vu personne mais au téléphone le personnel a été très agréable et réactif à notre arrivée suite à un problème de clés
• Hjalte (8/5): Fint værelse, dejlig lokation - Hyggelig lokation, meget lokalt placeret (billede af gården i lejlighedskomplekset). Kontaktløs check-ind, rart nok - døren kan godt være svær at åbne, man skal trække den mod sig selv før nøglen drejes, vi havde lidt problemer med dette i starten. Værelset var fint, men var ikke helt magen til det der var billeder af, der var færre farver - det må have været en af de andre der er på billedet. Dejlig vært, der var lidt ujævn med svar (havde heller ikke forventet at de ville sidde på spring og svare), men sørgede for taxa fra hotellet.
• Arkadiusz (5/5): nice but unnecessary stressful due to owner mistake - Location was very good, could be more clean (walls, doors), The communication with owner. I have informed the owner that is a mistake and supposed to be two separate beds (i was with my Mum). He agreed with me (called me at 22.00) that they fix it next day. Without my knowledge (we were in restaurant) someone came to my room and separated the beds. I find this as very uncomfortable firstly without my knowledge some people came to my room, secondary it was after 22.00 o'clock. Then the owner had a long stressful conversation with me. finally he slightly drop down the price but the stress was not worth to do it.

• Smajil (7/5): Good location,strange smell,nice privacy. Shower doors cannot keep water in cabin - Location was great . There was different rooms. Some rooms had view on street that is noisy,but it was tolerable. Mattrace is made of memory foam. So it is super soft for people that like super soft. But it is foam on the top of bed. Because there was strange smell in the room,they put some strange parfume on bedlinen. Hope next time would be better room without strange frangnance
• Giulia (6/5): - Il personale è davvero gentile e disponibile, questa cosa è da apprezzare. La posizione è buona, pochi minuti a piedi dalla metro e dal Vaticano. Sulla pulizia ci siamo e a disposizione c’è anche un microonde e un bollitore. Quello che consiglierei di rivedere è un po’ il bagno. Il bidet perdeva acqua e la doccia allagava un po’ tutto.
• Perendija (8/5): Very good - Location is very good, only 5-10 minutes walk to Vatican City , and close to the city center (20-30 minutes of walk). Room was ok, we had our own bathroom within it. Host was nice, altough we havent met him, he gave us clear instructions how to arrive from airport and how to enter the room and some suggestions for coffee shops and restourants nearby.

• Dagrun (8/5): Sentralt overnattingssted - Kan gå til "alt", gode frokost kafeer og restauranter i nærområdet. Veldig stille! Enkel standard, kunne tenkt meg en god stol. For de som er ute hele dagen så er dette et ok sted. En meget behjelpelig og hyggelig husvert!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Not as expected but it worked out... - Not a standard hotel, but a room in an apartment within a large complex, so access can be a little complicated. Very walkable neighborhood, and not too far from the Metro. The pictures of the room are a little deceptive. It wasn't nearly as decorated or clean. If expecting a standard hotel room, the difference could be jarring, justifying the lower rates. For someone who isn't looking for comfort or something squeaky clean it works well. Communication with the host was great. There is no front desk, but contact was professional and quick to respond to questions.
• Arkady (4/5): Not recommended - Was waiting for more then 40 min that somebody will return my call and give me instructions how to get in. When we entered there was no toilet paper and cattle receptionist brought it after 2h. Shower was stuck and water was standing. Mop to clean bathroom is not provided. There was no plates in the room. I don’t any complaints to receptionist he tried to help, but organization of this business is

Hi - Was a very convenient location, very close to metro station Ottaviano, with Saint Peter’s Squire only 17 minutes walk… Cozy room, with private bathroom and shower. Coffee machine in the lobby. We were happy with our stay. A bit disturbed by the mosquitoes, so be sure to take some anti-mosquito spray/cream with you (we stayed in June).

• Anonymous (2/5): Won’t stay there again - The location The pictures have been VERY carefully taken. It was dirty, didn’t even supply toilet paper after the first day, wasn’t cleaned, mould in the shower and no clean towels for the 4 day stay.
• Bella (7/5): Good - Size of the room was good, easy to get to the city (15 mins by train or bus) and very easy to walk to the Vatican City. Owner of the room Salvatore was great with communication and helped us whenever we needed. I had a phone call to home after being away for two months and I was quite emotional, I took this phone call sitting downstairs in the large shared courtyard between the buildings. Many residents gave me rude looks while I was crying on the phone and eventually someone told me off for sitting in the courtyard. Apparently it’s forbidden for residents and guests to SIT down in the courtyard, you’re only allowed to pass through. The residents had called the concierge about it who then told our accomodation host. One resident even told me “you can’t this property like a beach” because I had brought a towel to sit down on. I found this whole interaction really rude especially since I was not aware it was forbidden to just sit down outside the building. This is not the fault of our accomodation host at all, he was lovely and apologetic. But the residents in this accomodation are very rude to tourists which definitely dampened my experience of this accomodation.

• Konstantinos (2/5): NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED - THE BUILDING WAS QUITE OLD AND ONLY SLIGHTLY RENOVATED. THE PHOTOS ON THEIR WEBSITE WERE WAY BETTER THAN WHAT WE SAW. IT WAS VERY EXPENSIVE AND BY NO MEANS OFFERED VALUE FOR MONEY.

• Irene (7/5): We loved Rome and would recommend Domo Vaticano to anyone not looking for frills or a personal touch - Our room had lovely windows opening onto the large, beautiful courtyard. The location near the Metro line was useful. The room was clean and serviceable. The host was prompt in replying online to questions and to our request to extend our stay. There was no in-person connection with the host, so there was no one to orient us to the guest house (we got stuck in the elevator and had to call out for help!). It would have been nice to have been oriented to the neighbourhood, and to the city, how to use public transit, etc.) The map of Rome that I scouted out near the entrance to the guest house was not a very useful one.

• Vilyam (4/5): I‘d say I have a quite negative experience. In general, place was quite cheap, location good but service was awful. I wo - The location. - We warned the manager that we would arrive around 1 a.m., and no one opened the gate which was pretty stressful when it‘s night outside. We had to call all the hotels listed on the intercom, and finally it was opened but not by the manager. - The manager communicated in WhatsApp with delays. - The owner brought a soup which we asked but left the room opened (we had all belongings there). – All in all, communication wasn’t good. I felt as an unwelcome guest.

• Dragos (4/5): Disappointing - - great area - friendly host - mini fridge - really noisy park nearby where people get together at night, almost no sound isolation through the windows/walls - superficially cleaned - bugs and ants in the bathroom at night - the room wasn’t the one from the reservation - leaky shower - barely usable - also the water only has one actual temperature - no kettle/tea as advertised - the black door is really hard to open, key won’t properly fit, usually had to rely on others or spend 5 minutes getting the right position - not the comfiest bed

• Catherine (1/5): Very disappointing. - The location of the apartment was great. This is the only thing we like about this BB. As we said few time at Salvatore, the room was SO noisy, we could not sleep at night. Impossible to open the windows because of the noise, so as a bonus, too hot. We bought some ear plugs at the market and also… toilet paper. Nobody ever came to change the sheets or the towels in 5 days. No responsable person on the spot, never, to, as an example, take care to empty the old capsules from the dirty coffee machine. Never received the recommandations for good restaurants around the BB. Conclusion, Salvatore could not care less about his clients.
• Dominique (9/5): Lovely place! I would definitely choose this place again!!! - The location is excellent. On arrival, the host supplied essential addresses of where to get groceries, ice cream, etc. The instructions to enter the property were very clear. The host was always available on Whatsapp to answer and assist. Lovely hot water in a very clean shower. It is situated within walking distance of the Metro, buses, shops, and St Peter's Square. The big brown door was so difficult to unlock and to pull or push closed. There was hardly any toilet paper and I was surprised to not find even one spare roll. The key to the black gate only unlocks from the inside and so it can be difficult to feel to find the keyhole on the other side if the black entrance gate is locked.

Size of room was a decent size for 3 people. 1)Main Black Gate was shut and luckily someone entered the property for us to get to the actual building. 2) very old elevator. 3)Dark and empty reception. No one was there and lights only turned on automatically when it sensed movement. We had 2 rooms opposite each other and it was dark to get to the opposite room until it sensed movement. 3)Flooded shower floor. 4)Aircon was temperamental. Longest it worked was 5 mins max straight and it would make a loud sound and then just normal air. Very noisy too! Smelly aircon unit. 5)Very thick uncomfortable Foam bed which wasn't breathable so it was very very hot. Especially air con didn't work which made it worst. Sleepless night. 6)No batteries in the TV remote. 7)Dirty fidge and wasn't at all cold. 8)Toilet roll was a 1/4 left and no spare rolls. Salvatore was very very kind and easy to talk to, but even when I reported the problems to him, he did not call me instead it was all done by WhatsApp even though his english was very good The apartment on the other hand was a big let down. Supposed to stay there for 4 nights but when we checked in, we wanted to leave after an hour but it was already too late to find another place as we weren't familiar to the area and didn't wanna walk with our luggages around. Ended up staying for 1 night which I believe was unfair to charge us a full night stay as the aircon wasn't working and didn't get much sleep throughout the night.
