- Motomi (8/5): - It's a good hotel in a convenient and quiet location. The hotel is next to 2.28 park and museum and a fewinute walk from the subway station. Ten minutes walk from Taipei main station so I could catch a train back to the airport easily. The room is clean and tidy but no changing space. If two people stay, one person needs to look away. Bed is very comfy and towels are changed everyday without asking. The wall is a bit thin and I could hear all noise from using the facility and conversation but nobody stayed next to me, so it's fine. The restaurant downstairs offer decent food in a clean environment.if you like to try local food but not so keen on stepping in a small and a bit rundown restaurant, this one is a good alternative. There are lots of eateries and cafes and close to Xian men. Overall, I'm happy to stay at this hotel again.

- Katy (2/5): - Staffs are nice ,but the room 912 is super crowded. Very small. If you travel with suitcase, for two people, must avoid this room! We couldn’t open our suitcases in the same time. And the showeroom design is not reasonable , no matter how tight you shut the door, the waiter is going outside anyway, and environment is noisy. We can easily heard everything passing by. Please re organize the layout of room912. Not worthy for its price at all.

They were renovating the lobby (which caused no problems for our stay) so it should be even better in the future. Expect loud water/bathroom noises in the AM and PM whe people return to their rooms. 228 park opposite is known for "night activities" and I have been warned to not walk there alone late at night otherwise it feels safe.

- Chi (4/5): - We were assigned a room with loud noise in the ventilation outlet like someone keeps using the hair dryer. What’s worse is we can hear the water usage next door, as if you’re in a shower room. In the cold evening, we can’t adjust the room temperature. The staff explained to us that we can switch to fan mode and adjust the fan only because there is no heating. It’s funny that the panel seems to have all functions. Also the tv volume can’t be adjusted, so we have to bear with the very low volume. None of these were told to us when we check in. Instead the check in lady told us that if we lose our room key we have to pay $500 NTD. We were so disappointed and could not sleep at all at night, and expressed our plan to leave the hotel. Then we were moved to a different room the next day. The noise is smaller but still there. At that time we just want to finish this nightmare and never deal with Check Inn again. I understand the property is old. However, the staff’s “not my fault” attitude really ruined my appetite.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Bad soundproof - Noisy next door! I think the wall between both our rooms is not thick enough so that the sound proof is bad! The whistling/humming sound from the tap next door was very loud that you can hear it very clearly
- Ayame (8/5): - The hitel is located very conviniently near Taipei main station and the shopping malls (about 10min walk). It's right next to the National Museum as well which we visited and enjoyed very much. The staff were so friendly and nice! They were very polite and always happy to help. The room we stayed in (2 bed) was not bad either. The shower and toilet was separate which is noce when you arr staying with another person. But for some reason both the shower and toilet doors aren't a door that goes all the way from top to bottom. So you can hear a bit. But what's more was the sound of water (presumably shower) of the next door. It was very loud and if they had showered in the middle of the night, it would have woken us and kept us up until they finished. It was that loud. The noise from the outside was also loud. It wasn't loud enough to keep me awake but if you are a light sleeper, it might bother you. Regardless, it is a very convenient hotel to stay at for its price. In terms of amenities, they provide you with toothbrush, hairbrush, shower cap, cotton buds. There may have been more things provided but I didn't use them as I jad brought my own. They will replenish the stock if you use any of them when they come in for housekeeping. There is a breakfast shop just across the road from the hotel. It was very busy eith locals and tourists alike. The food there was great, we went two days in a row.
- Jason (8/5): - The hotel is located about 10 mins walk to Taoyuan Airport MRT at Taipei Main Station, and about 5 mins walk to NTU Hospital Station on the red line. there are buses about 3 mins walk away to Taipei 101 area too. Xi mending is about 15 mins walk away, or a 5 mins bus ride just 4 mins walk away. Hotel room was comfortable with a big TV, nice air conditioning, japanese style auto toilet, good water pressure for shower and constant hot water. The only downside would be the thin walls. I can sometimes hear my neighbour showering or flushing the toilet, and i can hear people talking clearly as my room was located just by the elevator. If the sound proofing was better, it would be so easy to give this property 5 stars, and say that i will be back.

Free water bottles in room and more in lobby. 7-11 and Family Mart on same block including several food options and boba tea. 10 minute walk to Taipei Main Station or 5 minute walk to NTU Hospital or Ximending so access to transportation is convenient.

- Connie (10/5): - My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. The staff are so nice here!! The location is amazing but not too crowded, unlike Ximending, which is still walking distance. Lots of delicious foods within walking distance. Get breakfast and eat it next door at the 228 Peace Memorial Park. The rooms are small but comfortable. The beds were really nice and so was the water pressure. And there’s a bidet! The only con was bad sound proofing. People were talking in the hallway and we could hear when upstairs was showering and stuff. But we were still able to sleep well. Also it’s only a 10 minute walk from Taipei Main Station so it was easy to get here from the airport.

- Sally (10/5): - Really nice, modern, clean room, and friendly, helpful staff. I could hardly hear the other guests, which was a massive plus after the last hotel I stayed in. Only downsides for me were that there wasn’t a laundry and they don’t supply conditioner for washing your hair.

- platypus150 (8/5): Handy to everything - I chose the hotel due to its location. It is across the road from the museum, has a convenience store close by, plenty of food places, and a Metro station is just 200m away with the main railway station just 400m away. My room had wifi/internet and a bar fridge. I stayed here twice and was mostly satisfied. Better rooms are on the front of the building. The back rooms have no view and sound carries between them via a light well. English speaking by staff is mixed. They do have a left luggage facility if you arrive early or are departing late. Not all staff understand such requests.

- Anthony (8/5): Hotel Mezi helped me enjoy my trip to Taipei. - I enjoyed my visit to Taipei while staying at Hotel Mezi. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were very attentive and helpful. View over the park is a worthwhile upgrade. Shampoo/conditioner had a nice smell; an added bonus, haha. Good location. Would stay again.

- Verified traveler (6/5): The room has no window!!! - The room has no window n it wasn’t mentioned in the description(it even said ‘black out curtain’!). I wouldn’t book it if I knew the room has no window!! There are dividers for the bathroom n toilet. However, the dividers are only up to like 2 feet below the ceiling, if u are staying in the room with someone else, and someone is doing big business in the toilet, the smell will fill up the room!! And the room is very humid because of the steam after shower. And the noise is a major problem too!! The walls are paper thin, can hear clearly what next door or people on the corridor are talking. And every morning, the housekeeper was making so much noise banging the doors n this n that!! I had 3 nights there, I couldn’t sleep well at all! Locations is excellent, very close to all the shops, Taipei stations, eatery and Ximending. However, I will not choose this hotel next time.

- Julie (8/5): Great location, friendly staff, but small room - Our room with a double bed was on the small side. If you have a luggage with you, you won't have room for it. We only had two backpacks so we were ok. Bathroom is fancy with a cool shower. Love the lobby area where free snacks and soda/coffee were provided to guests and it's a nice and relaxing space. The hotel is located close to the train station and there are plenty restaurants and shops nearby.

Changing beddings everyday, changing/adding breakfast item every other day and fixing wifi on room 501. Good points are sufficient and good supplies and amenities like shampoo, soap, blower, ref etc. Location is good near mrt and with shops around.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location was fairly okay - quite a number of metro stations but all require about 10 min walk. Beds were comfortable but the room was really tiny. There was a slight odor in the room, likely due to the damp carpet when we first checked in. That went away after a couple of hours. Walls were paper thin and we could hear the showers turning on and off from the room next door. While there were one or two hotel staff who were friendlier, some of them were not very welcoming. We had inevitably contributed to a bit of noise in the main hotel lobby - understandably, as there were more than 30 pax in the group. It was cold, so everyone was hiding in the tiny lobby while waiting for our transport but we were merely talking and not being rowdy. The last I check, we were also the only ones in the lobby, so we were also not causing disturbance to other guests. However, the unfriendly staff at the reception threw us very dirty looks and told us off. Yes, perhaps they found us annoying, but we were only there for 5-10 min. Surely the hotel could afford to dole out some patience. What a great show of the famous Taiwanese hospitality.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Standard Chartered Taipei Marathon 2019 - Came here for the Standard Chartered Half Marathon 2019 and this was the perfect location to the start. Only minutes away. The room was small but clean. Exactly what I was looking for and needed. Great stay and will stay again.

I moved the room as advirtised after a couple of days but I had to waste time for this. The hotel insisted that small room is actually same room type that why it was not a downgrade or similar. Such things should not happen. Overall the hotel is nice, the facilities are in a good condition and the location was good for me.

- B (10/5): - About everything was excellent. About 10 minute walk from Taipei Main Station, so easy to get to after arriving the airport. The room was very clean and up to date with style. I felt the value was excellent. TV had several English speaking stations. The staff was excellent. They helped me the best they could when I was having a problem printing a document. The view was good of the park. The only issue was very minor, it is a narrow walkway from one side of room to bathroom squeezing between bed and windows. But I will consider Hotel Mezi for future trips to Taipei.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Worth its value - Location was about 10 min walk from Taipei main station. Check-in process was quick, staff friendly. Daily breakfast was scrambled eggs with bacon/ham/sausages with fruits and salad; free flow toasts with jam/butter and corn soup were available, along with coffee/tea/grape juice. Our room was spacious enough to lay open both our big suitcases. Bed and pillow were comfy. Toilet seat comes with a bidet. Only negative point was that the room was dusty.
