Guest Reviews
- Regilyn (10/5): - Very friendly. Pet friendly. Excellent stay
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Friendly staff who helped accommodate parking my car and uhaul trailer. Nice, clean, basic accommodations for a good price.
- Craig (10/5): - Affordable,Clean , friendly, and a good breakfast
This is my go to place when I visit Libby 4-5 times a year.
- Jennifer (10/5): - It was quite and safe.
- Rick (6/5): Our stay at the Country Inn - The picture on Hotels.com is not near the hotel. We are older and requested a ground floor room when we booked. Richard at the front desk was rather rude to my wife when we checked in and did not acknowledge our request. Our room was on the 2nd floor with no elevator. The room was clean and pretty comfortable. I was convenient to some good restaurants.
- david (6/5): - Room rate was more that expedia charged, and motel staff would not honor expedia charged rom rate!
- Philipp (6/5): - - sehr freundliches Personal
- relativ ruhig
- ingesamt vollkommen in Ordnung für die Durchreise - das Zimmer hat leider etwas nach Hund gerochen
- das Motel ist recht in die Jahre gekommen
- Aunisa (4/5): - Water cooler in front lobby. Tv in room Mattress, bedding, towels low quality. No phone for wake up calls. Price was very high for a budget Inn.
- Jayne (6/5): - It was adequate for what we needed, staff were helpful. Breakfast was good.
- Carol (8/5): - Comfy bed, fireplace under the tv No shower curtain, the outlet by the bed wouldn't hold my charger, mediocre breakfast choices
- Gary (8/5): - For an older building it is very good. Staff very friendly and helpful.
- Guest (5/5): - Service There was a smell in the bedroom that I couldn’t figure it out
- Michelle (2/5): - Grew up in Libby, support local. Price gouge between the two hotels is unbelievable. Checked into a dirty room, no working lights, everything unplugged, tv unplugged and remote batteries missing. Changed rooms as the tv area had cookie crumbs everywhere. New room smelled of weed and everything unplugged. Dirty dive for $180. Will never stay again.
- Muriel (8/5): - Homey and comfortable. Good bed, breakfast with protein, basic amenities, affordable.
- Cheryl (3/5): Stay somewhere else. - The beds were comfortable. The sheets were clean and decent quality. Our room smelled bad—very musty smell seemed to be coming from the air conditioner. We tried to get moved to another room but they were booked. In all fairness the manager was willing to refund us so we could stay somewhere else but nothing was available. So we stayed. The bathroom also needs a deep cleaning as it was dirty. Wouldn’t stay here again.
- Joseph Guy (10/5): - Pleasant staff easy check in
- Philip (8/5): - No elevator and the TV seemed to only have the channels on the web apps.
- leslie (6/5): Room for improvement - The staff was friendly and helpful. The main area was clean. The room DEFINITELY needed a more thorough cleaning. A large patch of dark gunk in the carpet. Sticky night stand. Blood? On the wall by sink area. Breakfast could use some improvement. Thought the price was high.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bed was super uncomfortable, bathroom had a quarter roll of toilet paper and no refills in the room and the ac unit kept turning off every few seconds after it kicked on and was super hot
- Guest (8/5): Great staff, but lacked a comfortable bed. - I have asthma and requested that there be no heavy perfume smell be in the room. They were very good about the smells left behind. It was greatly appreciated. The bed was not very comfortable. We both woke not very well rested from trying to get comfortable.

- Wristine (10/5): - The staff went above and beyond! The quickly finished the rooms quickly so we could check in early to get ready for a wedding. The called us immediately when we forgot a baby blanket. They were great.
- Guest (7/5): -
- Guest (7/5): -
- Conan (9/5): - Owner was nice. Was clean Breakfast was ok. Owner dog not nice
- Kami (8/5): - Friendly and helpful staff! Conveniently located. Great prime rib served across Hwy 2. Room had an underlying smell of cigarette smoke.
- Guest (9/5): If you stay here, make sure to get to the breakfast early. - Overall, I give it an 9 or of 10. The only issue we had was having to ask for more toilet paper because the 1 roll in or room wasn't even half a roll. Other than that though, everything was fine and I would stay there again. I swear the shower was built for people 5 feet tall or shorter! Lol
- Joseph (3/5): property owner was arguing with guest when we arrived, we almost left because the room was so smelly - nothing Room was falling apart, had mold, and very bad smell like vomit, dumpster was located outside room and smelled very bad, bed was so uncomfortable, neither of us slept, and we would never stay in Libby again.
- Leeann (8/5): - Our stay in Libby was good. The staff was great, so friendly and helpful. The property was a bit dated, but it was just fine overall.
- Kayla (4/5): Could be better for the price - Was not that clean big stain in the HALL by the door it was really gross
- James (8/5): -
- Dan (8/5): We’d stay here again. - Clean room, friendly and informative staff.
- Miquela (8/5): - The room had a weird , funky smell when we got there , otherwise the bed was very comfortable and I have no complaints
- Trevor (3/5): -
- Craig (10/5): - Nice firm beds, friendly staff, clean, good breakfast, it’s not the ritz but comfortable rooms
- Gene (10/5): - The hotel is very quiet. We were impressed.
- Lori (4/5): This place needs updating. Rooms were adequate only, no chair other than a desk chair, breakfast was so-so. Price - Convenient location It did not have a chair in the room, which it showed in the photo when we booked it.
- Gregory (10/5): - Nice little breakfast from 6am-11am. Clean rooms. Friendly helpful staff.
- Nicholene (3/5): For the price, we won't stay again. - The location was the best thing about the hotel. Room was small. Overstuffed chair was difficult to get by when getting into bed on my side. Bathroom sink was in the bedroom area right next to the door to enter the unit. Very awkward when others were trying to enter the room and someone was trying to use the sink. The wash cloth I was going to use was stained. Put dirty towels on the floor in the morning and expected to get clean replacements but they only took them, not leaving any clean towels. Had to go to front desk and ask for some. The breakfast area was dark and uninviting. We tried breakfast the first day since it was included but wasn't very good so skipped it our second day.
- David (5/5): -
- Jason (9/5): -
- Dirk (5/5): Good location but needs some TLC and a mostly a really good cleaning. - Close to good places to eat A bit rough pretty much everywhere. The vinyl floors in bathroom are peeking up, found a dirty rag and empty cup behind the nightstand, floors groan and creak badly, bed was very springy. Dirt and grime everywhere above about a 5’76” eye level … top of tub surround, wardrobe, etc.
- Linda (8/5): - Needs some updating. Great coffee
- Garcia (10/5): It was a good stay. Everyone was nice. Carpet was comfy and soft. Bed was hard. Needs updated bed - Very clean, comfortable room design. Very quiet!!! Bed was really hard.
- Guest (10/5): We enjoyed our stay and will be back next time we’re in town. - It was a good breakfast. But we decided to eat at Henry’s the 2nd morning. Because of my back, taking the stairs up and down was a little difficult.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Excellent Stay—Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient - This hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Great experience.
- Guest (8/5): It was nice. - This facility is dated, but in very good condition. Our room was clean, except for the mini fridge.
The breakfast was limited, but acceptable. The room was heavily scented when we opened the door. For someone who suffers from asthma, this was a problem. We opened the window to start airing it our immediately.
- Mary (8/5): Clean and simple. - Room was very simple and provided all the basics. Room was clean. Ours had an odd smell which I attributed to the carpeting.
- Erica (8/5): -
- Kayla (6/5): could be cleaner - Hall smelled like weed and the floors had big stains on them around the our door, we only had 2 towels and they acted like it was a day of laundry for an extra towel
- Hailey (10/5): - This place was super comfy! Comfy beds, clean rooms, friendly staff, in a good area of town, close to restaurants, gas station, and grocery store. They have a nice small breakfast with a waffle maker and grab and go items. Also they have a kitchen if you want to cook your own food. The shower got hot and had good pressure. I would recommend staying on the second floor if you can.
- Jeffery (8/5): - Good trip
- Guest (5/5): - I understand small town, hard to find help etc so I would say you get what you get but the room had a terrible smell to it. Ac worked awesome, opened the window and that helped. Towels were clean and so was the bed so no complaints but don’t expect nothing fancy that’s for sure.
- Renee (4/5): - Hotel in need of an update. Rooms smell of mildew. Furniture smells as well. I would not pour my clothes in the drawers.
- Dayakar Naik (4/5): - I reserved hotel saying 2adults and 2kids. But the reservation took place only with two adults. At the hotel we were told to pay extra $20
- lynne (7/5): -
- Wade (8/5): - Okay
- Victoria (2/5): The worst experience I've had in a long time. - For $224 a night, the room had wholes on the walls and around the tub. The bed covers were stained (gross). There was no table to be able to eat in the room (there was no room downstairs for breakfast either). There was not enough WIFI to use the TV. The worst was the day manager. We were there for a family reunion and my husband and I left a bit early. I told the manager at the front desk that my daughter was going to be leaving in about 15 minutes. The room was paid for and it was way before checkout time. Immediately after I left, the manager went up to our room (221). My daughter was coming out of the shower and the manager walked in and told and her fiance that they had to get out. The manager was unprofessional and rude especially when I just had told her that our remaining party would be leaving shortly. This stay was a very terrible experience.
- Lana (2/5): - I chose this hotel because the ratings on cleanliness were high. This is probably the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at many. Chunks of cut hair left around the sink. Bodily fluids on the lower side of the bed. The chair and couch had stains all over them. Dried Pee drops on the floor in front of the toilet. Crumbs on the night stands. I honestly did not want to sit anywhere in the room. The only thing that appeared clean was the sheets. We did not shower there because the bottom of the shower was a gross discoloration. I almost asked for my money back but we were 6 hours away from home to see a concert and everywhere else was booked up.
- Jackson (4/5): -
- Michelle (4/5): Libby MT - In need of serious upgrading. Carpet in room stained, ripped upholstery on chairs, poor ventilation, air conditioner struggled to cool. Breakfast sign notes 6am to 11a, yet they stopped at 9am. Not enough food placed for number of guests . I would skip this place.
- Samuel (10/5): - the beds were actually really comfortable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointed - Surprised with several ”fantastic” reviews.
I should have read more of them before booking.
It definitely need some fixing up. Carpet cleaning a.s.o. Got a room with two queen beds. Both beds had hair on the sheets.
Breakfast could have been okay if it wasn’t for the hair on top of the omelet when I opened the package. Sorry, will not return.
- Vicki (4/5): - Too bad this property is not well cared for. Our room smelled like wet dog. Hard to sleep with such a bad smelly room.
- Anthony (8/5): -
- Guest (8/5): -
- Michelle (9/5): Just what we needed - Comfortable and homey
- Dawn (10/5): - Was a great place to stay. Nice rooms. Great restaurant right across the street.
- Angelina (7/5): -
- Kenneth (8/5): - Basic hotel, was fine for us
- Kathleen (6/5): -
- Ginger (2/5): - We didn’t stay. We checked in because we had prepaid. Our room smelled like sweat and dirt that hadn’t been washed in a long while.
We left and moved on to another stay.
Lost money, but it was too gross.
- Georgeane (5/5): Awesome staff what went out of their way to help! - The rooms were clean and comfortable - the desk people were very helpful! The outside needs to be “spruced up.”
- Sherri (2/5): - Bed felt like sleeping on cardboard in the floor. Pubic hair in bathtub, pubic hair on toilet, sink not cleaned…still had soap and soap scum from last person in the room and also had hair all over the counter and in the sink. Even the mirror was really dirty. Ice bucket but no cups. Carpet was not vacuumed well. Overall not a good experience.
- Brian (9/5): - Staff was great.
- Mark (6/5): - This is a cozy little place. Very outdated, so be prepared. The rooms are same and the beds are not that comfortable. Totally overpriced for what you get.
- Rick (4/5): - This hotel was nothing like the website-pictures-property is not an 4 star or even a 3 star it’s a 2 star at best-everything is well dated-staff was good-knowing what I know now would never pay that hotel’s rates
- Cynthia (2/5): Way too expensive for what they provide. - Location. And it was clean. Very expensive. Unbelievably bad mattress and tissue thin (and not enough) towels. No blow dryer. Minimal soap/shampoo - both in quality & quantity. Just a very bad hotel.
- Karol (7/5): I wouldn’t stay in Libby the next time I visit Northwest Montana and this hotel is a little run down for the price. Hot - The baked cookies. Price was high considering hotel is 2 star at best and was not full. Town of Libby is dead.
- Guest (7/5): - Breakfast needs fruit and other protein
- Mark (8/5): - Clean and in the city center.
- Suzan (8/5): - The motel was older but clean. I would stay again.
- Jason (2/5): - My family of 4 stayed here 7/3/25- 7/9/25. First off every day we was here we didn't recive any room cleaning services. When we went to the front desk to get new towels and was told we could only get 2 towels. Only 2 towels when they know there is 4 people in our room. This place wasn't even busy according to how empty the parking lot was, you would think they would have plenty of time to clean all there occupied rooms.
Another problem was breakfast was served 6am to 11am. But every day we went down there to get breakfast there was always out of everything. Sometimes no juice, or yogurt, almost every day out of sausage and cheese omelets the bread was constantly out. How was they always out of breakfast things when there was hardly anyone there? They always had coffee though.
Over all this place took an old motel and placed some new modernized features to make it look good.
Manager Josh has to go! On Saturday 4/5/25 we was in our room planning to take our grandkids across the street to the Fireman's park to the splash pad. My family came in to let us know they was here, and Josh met them at the front door and told them we couldn't have visitors an the motel or they would charge us over 200 extra dollars to have visitors due to how many people would be in the room.
UM, OK. I don't get it. 4 people are only allowed in the room due to a fire hazard, but it will be ok to have visitors in our room if we pay over 200 dollars more. Wow!
- Joshua (6/5): - Was pretty clean, bed was comfortable. There was very little available for the continental breakfast. For the cost of the room, I expect more. Wasn't even fresh fruit. The scarce breakfast
- Eric (8/5): -
- Glen (6/5): WOULD STAY AT YOUR HOTEL AGAIN - CLEAN ROOMS AND YOUR STAFF HELPFUL MAYBE ADD SCAMBLED OR BOILED EGGS TO YOUR BREAKFAST MENU
- Guest (7/5): - Clean, spacious, and the staff was very accommodating! The shower flooded the bathroom floor.
- Angela (8/5): - Staff was great! Room was good but smelled like a pet. Was annoyed they put a guest with a dog above us so didn’t get much sleep with it walking around on the creaking floor all night.
- Mallory (10/5): - Great stay as always!
- Barbara (4/5): - The staff was friendly. They gave me their worst room. Stains all over the floor. No desk, no decent chair to set in comfortably and the worst bed I've ever slept in. Air conditioner from above me was so load I had a hard time sleeping.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good value for the room. We were given an upstairs room (and had requested wheelchair accessible), which was difficult since there was no elevator. Breakfast okay, not the best but not the worst. Would recommend for overnight stay.
- Guest (5/5): - Breakfast options were good. HOT water was great. Staff was friendly. We found the price per night was extremely high for the quality of lodging. We understand it is an older motel, but your price should reflect that. We found that over $300 for 2 nights was extremely high.
- Cynthia (7/5): -
- Jackie (6/5): - Good location
- Correy (5/5): -
- Paul (10/5): - The staff was fantastic. Card keys wouldn't work sometimes.
- Johnson (3/5): We will not be returning to this hotel. - Unfortunately, there was nothing about this stay that I found enjoyable. Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The beds were uncomfortable, and we were kept up by a dog barking at 11:00 PM. The carpet appeared dirty, and the breakfast was very limited - just a waffle, with no eggs or any protein option so we chose to eat at a local diner instead. Basic supplies were lacking as well: there was no facial tissue provided, and only half a roll of toilet paper in the room. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations.
- Kent (10/5): - Great! No complaints.
