Mary (10/5): Friendly, fun and convenient. Thanks! - Very convenient to the Savannah College of Art and Design. We were there for a tour. Also easy walking distance to the waterfront if you don't mind a healthy walk-about. Just 3K from the Savannah Bananas Baseball Complex and surrounding running track (I was training for a 10K so that was perfect!) I wish we could have been upstairs rather than in the lower rooms. If you have a choice, ask for a room upstairs.

JE (6/5): Characterful house but needs to offer a little more comfort and substantial breakfast. - On first impression this accommodation offers a host of style furnished in the era of its originality and ideally located to explore the heart of Savannah. Situated in the Historic District everything is within walking distance. The accommodation was clean with plenty of towels and lovely linen. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Dietary requirements could be catered for if requested before arrival. For us the lack of comfort combined with the amount of antiquities in our room made it difficult to relax for a 3 night stay. Perhaps more adequate for a one night stay. Our bedroom, although large was not comfortable and felt cluttered. The bed was soft and lumpy, antique sofa, which was the only seating in the room and fit with the decor was again lumpy with springs popping up and large dips where the age showed. The wardrobe did not have coat hangers nor a rail to hang clothes although there was adequate drawer space. The bathroom although designed and furnished in the era of the house was not functional. On stepping out of the shower one had no room to dry oneself. There was nowhere to put one's toiletries and the mirrors were not adequate for personal usage, more for decorative purposes. We were unable to make use of the outside space and amenities as the weather did not allow for this. Breakfast although probably traditional, biscuits and gravy may be typical, is not perhaps suitable for international guests. The granola and yoghurt were not enough of a selection and perhaps a larger buffet alternative, hot and cold, would be more beneficial for guests.

L186QNsharonf (10/5): Best Place We Have Found - We have traveled to Savannah several times and always stayed at one of the oldest inns, but because of the price increase we looked elsewhere this time. I am so glad we found the MacMillan Inn. The food is excellent, much better than where we had been staying. The staff go out of their way to make you comfortable and they also provide refreshments and goodies in the afternoon. We love antiques so the Inn was appealing and made us feel we stepped back in time. Very tastefully furnished. Located just two blocks from Lafayette parks it’s within walking distance of the places most people want to visit. For us it’s walking all the town squares. Considering all that is offered, the accommodations and hospitality of the owners and staff and the price it can’t be beat. We will be coming back to MacMillan Inn on future visits. The rooms were exquisite. I was so sad that we only spent 1 night. The location was right in the heart of the beautiful historic area and close to the riverfront where there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants. We will definitely be back for a longer, proper stay at the McMillan Inn.

Close to great restaurants and Forsyth Park. The southern style breakfasts were always a great way to start your day. N7017BMdavem (10/5): Very generous Bed and Breakfast! - Our family stayed at the McMillan Inn and had a wonderful time. We had the courtyard room of Calhoun and ground floor room Whittaker booked. Both rooms were nicer in person than the pictures even! There was a nice heated floor in the Calhoun room. This is the best bed and breakfast that I have ever stayed at! They were very generous with you towards food. They asked if we wanted seconds and had sweet tea and home made goodies (cake, cookies etc.) available throughout the day for you to snack on. Very friendly and warm hosts. They like people which is great. I will definitely stay here again when we return to Savannah.
Jared (10/5): - Beautiful historic b&b inn with private bathroom. Friendly service and excellent breakfast. Free parking. Water pressure for the tub was low but that's expected with a house that old. Having to move the car out of the way of the street sweeper made parking a little challenging, but not something against the inn. And it's a necessary service to keep the streets clean.

Patrick's parade, close walk to parks, and bars, restruants Just had to walk 2 blocks because of the parade streets were shut down. We did know this ahead of time . Not a worry at all .. The daily breakfast was very adequate and always fun breaking bread with other guests. The location is great - 2 blocks to Forsyth Park. 25 minutes or so to walk to River St - that is where all the fun historic waterfront restaurants are (grt southern dishes). Luved the night time ghost tour (Ghosts & Gravestones 👻 was a blast) !!! Be sure to book a trolley tour of Savannah- well worth it! We stayed 3 nites.

In the cooler months, Jan-March it would be nice to have the pool heated. It was very small, not much bigger than an oversized hot tub but was freezing. We visited the 1st week in March. The patio area furniture needed to be cleaned. Very dusty and dirty and patio needed blowing off or swept. With just s small effort and maybe a few winter blooming flowers like pansies it would be beautiful like the indoors.

If steps are a problem, this might be hard for some. We were on ground floor, but there were many steps up to dining. Wish departure breakfast could have been earlier. He told us we could have requested a breakfast to be packed for us. Next time!
MCahill11 (10/5): A wonderful gem of a place to stay in. - We had a wonderful 3 night stay in the McMillan Inn and are so glad that we picked this over a hotel. It is just as special, gorgeous and luxurious as the photos show. We stayed in the Lincoln Room on the 2nd floor which was large and spacious and had a separate bathroom. The bed is an amazing 4 poster one and is so high that you do need the wooden steps provided in the room. Parking outside was free and easy to find. Breakfast each morning was at 9.15am and was delicious and freshly cooked and the dishes served changed each day. Complimentary pastry treats and chilled peach tea was available every afternoon. They also have a lovely pool in their Back garden. The Inn is located very close to Forsyth Park ( 5 mins) and is very close to public transport stops. Its in an idea location as its a quiet residential area with amazing period houses around but is only a short walk to Savannah's historic squares and about a 20 minute walk to River Street. The property owners ( Melissa and Eric) and all their staff are lovely.

The staff, room and location really exceeded our expectations; everything was beautiful and the staff and guests were so friendly and welcoming! Breakfast was delicious, it was fantastic to experience an authentic southern meal whilst we were visiting and if we could, we would have extended our stay. The staff also kindly arranged for chocolate-coated strawberries to be waiting for us in our room when we arrived in celebration of our babymoon - a most thoughtful gesture which really meant a lot to us! I would highly recommend McMillan Inn to anyone travelling to Savannah, it won't disappoint! Nothing, we loved everything!

Melissa - Eric and their family made sure that everything was perfect! and that's hard to do- I have food intolerances and they made sure they had the list and prepared a special breakfast every morning for me! It was delicious! For my husband every time we walked in, he walked over to the treat bar to see what homemade goodies was waiting- the short bread was his favorite! The room was beautiful; we stayed in the Forsythe room, the Home was just exquisite, and it couldn't have been any better of a location- a couple of blocks from the park and a 20-minute walk to the river front. one picture we added was as we walked outside for an evening walk, we felt safe and the views in the neighborhood were stunning. C5368CTsavannahc (10/5): Phenomenal - This place was top notch. If you are looking for a getaway this place is the place to go. The owners are so so kind and welcoming. We checked in late, but had no issues getting to our room. We walked in and our breath was taken away on how beautiful it was. Clean, unique and just beautiful. We would definitely recommend it to anyone 10000/100. If I could give it more starts I totally would! We will be back.
H9831DLjeanettem (10/5): Magical - This Inn is absolutely magical, we only stayed one night but the staff was amazing, they were so kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, and went far beyond my expectations! Our room was so romantic and intimate, we will definitely be staying here again if given the opportunity❤️ it is a bit on the pricey side, but it is honestly so worth it.
Zooqueenie (10/5): Exceptional experience - will definitely stay again! - We stayed three nights in the Carriage House. The inn is beautifully decorated, very inviting and located close to Savannah’s historic district. The rooms were spacious, had everything we needed and were extremely clean. The owners of the inn were wonderful hosts, very friendly and happy to give suggestions and tips to make sure our visit to Savannah was enjoyable. The daily breakfasts were delicious and a great start to our days. Thank you to the proprietors of the McMillian Inn for an amazing experience. We look forward to visiting again!
H3762MQadriane (10/5): Great bed & breakfast experience! - First time staying at a Bed & Breakfast and had a really great experience! The staff was very professional and accommodating. The food was delicious and the Inn was located in a great area where it was easy to walk around and get to know Savannah. Will definitely look to staying there again in a future trip.
mami_neville (10/5): Savannah vacay - I highly recommend staying at McMillan Inn in Savannah, GA. The owners, Eric and Melissa, are so welcoming and hospitable. They always have freshly baked cookies put out for their guests to enjoy anytime along with peach iced tea in the fridge. The breakfasts are simply divine - you will not leave hungry. The McMillan Inn is conveniently located so you are able to walk to most places of interest. I can't wait until we return and enjoy Eric and Melissa's hospitality.

971gretchenl (10/5): Genuine hospitality and southern comfort - We were eager to walk the historic district, and we had a wonderful stay in this perfectly located inn. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we welcomed their help both arriving and departing. The generous, fresh and variety of breakfast offerings started our days off perfectly. The eclectic decor was fun! We slept well in the quiet and comfortable room.
897isabellaj (10/5): Best stay in Savannah - I have stayed at the McMillan Inn many times over the years and it has exceeded my expectations every time. True southern hospitality and incredible breakfast! The McMillan Inn has had the same incredible staff for many years and they are always kind, accommodating, and incredibly helpful. The building itself is beautiful and historic, with many rooms including a fireplace to use during the winter months. This is the only place I will stay when I visit Savannah.
Polly (10/5): Wonderful - Most everything The only thing I can think of is minor,the shower pressure in the Olgothorpe room was a little weak. But it is a very old and historic home.

Luciano (10/5): The Inn helped us to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of Savannah. - Excellent breakfast, and the Inn is situated perfectly to walk around the old neighborhood and the whole downtown area. And very close to Flanney O'Connor's and Johnny Mercer's childhood homes! All perfect!
Kristen (10/5): - The location was perfectly located just a few blocks from Forsyth park. Breakfast was served at a reasonable time and it was delicious. The staff and owners very helpful and friendly. Nothing I did not like! My only regret is not staying longer.
michelle (10/5): I truly which I could have stayed longer; but then there is always a next time. - Every day was a culinary delight. The selection of beverage was well positioned. Portion size was more than ample. Presentation was fitting for the period (turn of the century), table service, linens, all the accoutrements made the total experience a joy too many steps for these old legs to traverse, (lol) but as that is typical for the architecture for the time cie la vie.

Reagen (10/5): We stayed in 3 different cities and 4 different hotels & this was by far one of our favorites - Such a beautiful well preserved house. Takes you back in time. You have access to the whole house. Staff very accommodating. Breakfast is included and so yummy. Nothing. I loved everything

JennyB1966 (10/5): Amazing Savannah Weekender!!! - The McMillan Inn is the absolute best Bed and Breakfast I have ever stayed at!!! Call them directly get a great rate! Walkable to great restaurants and parks!! The food was delicious, the owners so sweet and attentive, the staff (Anna) incredible!! A nice get a way and a beautiful historically rich locale!! DON'T MISS THE SWEET PEACH TEA!!! Sweets and drinks available all day!! No better place to stay in Savannah!!

davidy334 (10/5): A happy reunion. - My wife and I enjoy spending our New Year's Eve holidays in Savannah. Several years ago we had a very satisfying stay at the inn. When we tried to book it again for the holiday we found they were already booked. After a two year absence we booked 7 months in advance. It was definitely worthwhile. Aside from the old world charm of Savannah we were warmly welcomed upon our arrival. We settled into our room and set off to explore the neighborhood. The inn is conveniently close to Forsyth Park and walking distance to the riverfront. Parking on the street has never been an issue. Each morning after we awaken. in our comfortable bed we find the gas fireplace a very nice comfortable touch for getting dressed, then again in the evening. The breakfasts are always something we look forward to enjoying. Each one is like dinning at a very nice restaurant. The company of our fellow guests is convivial and fun. Usually we encounter the owners several times and they are very friendly and helpful. The Christmas decorations always add to the atmosphere for which this grand old lady is well suited. We recommend McMillan Inn without reservation.
Tracey (10/5): McMillan Inn was a beautiful, comfortable place to stay - We really enjoyed our stay at McMillan Inn. The house was beautiful! The room was comfortable and spacious. The location in the historic district was great, just a short walk to Forsyth fountain. We would definitely consider staying here again. The only thing I would say is that staff were not around very much at least during times we were at the house. Breakfast was served at 9 and 11. We were always up and out before 9 so didn’t get to participate in that.

John (10/5): Best experience ever - Mcmillan Inn was an absolute joy to stay at. The staff here are so incredibly hospitable. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt like we found our new vacation home. The rooms are all absolutely beautiful. It really felt like this place couldn't possibly be as old as it is. The character and charm here is found in every single corner of the house. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was luxurious. The room was very clean as well. We almost didn't want to leave to explore the town. Breakfast served in the dining area was exceptional as well. The food and service was above what I would put a lot of restaurants at for quality. The other guests were all very friendly. We are already looking at booking our room for next year. If you aren't booking here, you should be. We will never book a regular hotel again. Rating was 10 out 10 across the board and I would give it more if I could. Not just a stay at an Inn, an experience we will remember for many years to come

Houghton (7/5): - I would have liked to be able to enjoy the breakfast, it looked and smelt lovely, but had to leave early. I could not get the heating on in the room, it only blew cold air. Tried to find someone to help, but there wasn't anybody around. Our room was very cold.
Patti-Minietta (10/5): Charming and Comfortable - Excellent location! Wonderful accommodations and a charming place to stay. The hospitality was top notch! The breakfast was amazing and the staff is personable and attentive! They created a personalized glass in memory of our friend who past away recently who served in the US Marine Corps. That was extremely touching to us! We celebrated NYE and even enjoyed a polar bear plunge in the pool! The Calhoun Square Suite was impressive and had a wonderful spa tub. We enjoyed being steps away from the pool and on the garden level provided us a beautiful place to relax and celebrate the New Year! I highly recommend this bed and breakfast!
