- Andrea (10/5): - Elsa’s was a perfect place to rest and get away from the the crowds in Bar Harbor. The rooms and inn were kept up with care. Our host was amazing he made some of the best stuffed French toast I have ever had. The location was perfect to see the northern part of Acadia natl park, it was nice to have its so close and away from the crowds. The beds were soft and comfy and the harbor across the street was beautiful looking out from our room. Wonderfull place to stay and I would only stay at Elsa’s for any return visit!

Provided a delicious breakfast 2 mornings we were there. Beautiful Inn with Prospect Bay right across the street. The only thing I would suggest is working on the landscaping a bit.

- Melanie (10/5): - A precious lady, Gail, welcomed us to her Inn. She had a full house of 12 to serve as hostess for morning breakfast which was excellent! The second morning was delicious as well. Gail’s daughter was out of town for medical testing for the week, leaving her to carry the load of which she did wonderfully. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only thing that I would recommend would be to tidy up the landscaping. It would improve the exterior of the beautiful Inn. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Elsa’s Inn to the utmost of pleasure. Gail is such a sweet lady with a cute disposition and an amazing cook!

- Nathan (10/5): - The place was suppose to be 3 miles travel to Bar Harbor. It was 3 miles as the crow flies.. But, there is a ferry to Bar Harbor. To drive to Bar Harbor-its 1 hour 30 minutes. So 3 hours round trip. The Bars and attractions are at Bar Harbor. If you want Quiet. No attractions this is your place.

- Adele (10/5): - Look no further! This is the first inn I have ever stayed at! The host is extremely kind and is willing to give you all the good tips and tricks to the area. My boyfriend and I stayed one night there and did a good amount of exploring in the time we had! We ate at Ben&Me's (fabulous hot dogs and blueberry ice cream) which was recommended by our hostess! In the morning, I woke and watched the sunrise from the window facing the harbor of our room and it was just beautiful. We ate breakfast there before leaving the road for a long drive back to Upstate NY (breakfast was 2 fluffy blueberry pancakes with whip cream and blueberries on top) and they were just fabulous. We will absolutely be back and are so grateful to have had such a lovely experience!

- Cecile (10/5): - Elsa's Inn is a lovey spot for quiet scenic stays - the bed and pillows were lush and the rooms are furnished with beautiful antiques. Staff are super friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to assit me with a small issue. I will return whenever I am in the area.
- Joseph (10/5): - Two-night stay. Actually, thought this was located in Bar Harbor but as it turned out preferred Prospect Harbor! Quaint and relaxing. Friendly hosts and wonderful breakfast. Just enough to start your day! We had Sarah's room and found the room size just perfect, and the bed was very comfortable.

The room was cute and pleasant however no window shade over the bathroom window, no garbage can to be found and a shelf above the bathroom sink made using the sink quite challenging. Breakfast in the morning was great.

If you drive its a ways from Acadia NP, but so close to the one side of the park that no one really ever goes to, Schoodic, its so worth being in Peospect Harbor. It's beautiful. Gail and the family are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! They allow pets (yellow lab), which was awesome.

- karinza (10/5): Great place to stay in Schoodic! - Elsa's is a great place to stay in the Schoodic Peninsula. We wanted a home base to explore Acadia and discovered how great Schoodic is; less crowded, has an incredibly beautiful coastline and has good restaurants. Elsa's Inn was lovely - the rooms were very comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed, the breakfasts are yummy, the location is scenic (right across the water from a harbor with lobster boats), and it's within an easy drive to several restaurants, and great hiking. It's quiet and beautiful. Best of all is Gail, the host - she is very gracious and welcoming, very knowledgeable and helpful if you need tips, and clearly cares about her guests and Schoodic itself. Her yard is eco friendly, full of native plants and pollinator plants that were blooming beautifully when we visited. It was lovely to sit on the porch and chill in the evening. I highly recommend this area, and Elsa's.

I learned a lot about lobstering! It is a very historic area. Bed was extremely comfortable private bath excellent hot shower. It was just the perfect getaway. Thank you, Gayle! The room had a microwave and fridge but both were tiny: fridge was big enough for a few sodas or beers. Towels smelled strongly of mildew. The washer needs a seasonal cleaning. Breakfast sounded amazing from the reviews and was a major factor in picking this place, but it’s only served starting at 8 and I had to leave for a meeting both mornings before that. I was offered coffee and toast, which was not quite the full breakfast that I’d been so excited about.

- 949earlg (10/5): Classic Inn - This is a classic New England Inn located in a classic fishing village. Gail was a wonderful host. The Inn is quiet, our room was beautiful and the breakfast was really special. When we get back to this part of Maine, we will surely stay here again.
- Hallie (10/5): - Early September I took a weeklong trip and stayed in Elizabeth’s room at Elsa’s. To say it was the perfect choice is an understatement! The property was gorgeous, the room was sweet and cozy and had the perfect view of the harbor (across the street!) The inn keepers were so warm, kind and helpful. And they make THE BEST breakfast. They even wrote me a card on my birthday, it was a solo trip for my 30th and it was so thoughtful and special. The location- did I mention there is a harbor across the street? Right by Acadia, the drives to everything are gorgeous and there are so many perfect little local spots to eat at right up the road. Will definitely be coming back

Gail, our host, was a pleasure to talk to, providing us with interesting history and information of the area. The breakfasts were delicious! My only suggestion would be to consider replacing the mattress, or at least flip or rotate them, as ours was uneven and less comfortable than we would have liked. Otherwise, a wonderful place to stay that I would still recommend!

A great base location to see the less busy and beautiful Schoodic Peninsula and points North East up the coast. Room was clean and comfortable. Gail, Jessica and Ryan were wonderful hosts and served delicious breakfasts that were well planned and presented well. They definitely put their hearts into making a memorable experience for their guests. Location across street from the lobster boat harbor and nearby lighthouse offer some quaint views and memorable sunrise, golden hour and blue hour photo ops.

- Joseph (10/5): Above and beyond - We stayed for 4 nights at Elsa’s. Gail was a wonderful host for many reasons. The room was plenty big for the two of us with a very comfortable bed and normal sized shower. The morning breakfasts and conversation was great. We were just a few miles away from Schoodic point (Acadia NP). WOW! The night before we left, someone hit our car and it was un drivable. Gail drove to where the accident happened, loaded her car with all of our stuff, then drove my wife 30 miles to the nearest urgent care. She certainly went above and beyond what most people would do. We are very grateful to her helping us in a time of need.

- Prepcook (10/5): Great, family friendly place to stay - This quiet, small B&B is perfect for a family stay! Booked the two connected rooms upstairs and had a beautiful stay. Each room has a bathroom and the larger of the two had its own entrance from the parking lot. Our hostess was so kind and so gracious! She answered all our questions about kid friendly activities in the area and made delicious breakfasts daily! The rooms here are the best value in the area and go fast. There is a lot to do and see without having to wait to get into the National park. One caution: restaurants close relatively early.

Clean, spacious rooms with all the amenities we needed. The hostess is a gem of a person. She was very kind and resourceful. We loved our conversations with her! They offer breakfast in the morning and information on things- to- do around. Acadia National Park and Bar harbor are just an hour's ride away. Parking available in the front yard. Highly recommend for a peaceful holiday by the water with other outdoor activities not too far off!

Great, off the beaten path location, serene location and sea view, and a hostess that you just want to sit with and have coffee and home made cookies. Our room was cozy, clean and quiet - great view of the thick forest behind it.
- Julie (8/5): Elma’s - Welcoming and comfortable in a lovely location a bit off the beaten track. The Schoodic Park drive well worth a visit as is the Pickled Wrinkle!

- Char (10/5): Stay here! - Great place to stay. Right on the Harbor. Gale was soooo helpful and gracious. Rooms were pretty, comfortable, and very clean. Easy to find. Great places within driving distance for dining.
