Guest Reviews
- adrian (6/5): Just about okay - The main problem for us was the room. It was very warm and only being able to open the windows a limited amount we ended up sleeping on top of the duvets, not ideal ! The room was clean enough and we had a nice sea view but it was on the small side.
- Peter (10/5): - Very good.
- James (10/5): - Big room, comfortable bed, great shower.
- Derek (10/5): - Comfortable accommodation; friendly staff; good breakfast.
- Alan (10/5): - We have stayed here about ten times, twice this year. We love it.
- Mike (10/5): Excellent stay - Wonderful hotel, polite and accommodating staff, gorgeous views no matter what room you're in
- Maria (10/5): - The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly. We brought our dog & she was made very welcome! There was an amazing big field to exercise her opposite. Breakfast was nice & bed was comfortable. Beautiful room & facilities!
- Roland (10/5): - This place is an ideal base for watching the MGP. Just a short walk to the course. Already booked for 2026.
- Roland (10/5): - I was there for the MGP & Classic TT.
I've already rebooked for next year.

- Martyn (8/5): - suited my needs great, only complaint, room to hot at night
- Janet (10/5): - It was between the sea on one side and a beautiful park on the other. Very quiet. Easy access to everything you need including a swimming baths that we had free access to. Plenty of places to eat. Shops within walking distance. Hotel beautiful, staff pleasant and helpful. Everything you need is provided.
- Stuart (10/5): - Lots of parking, brilliant views, great food, excellent staff, great room.
No complaints at all. 100%.
- Eirwen (8/5): - Breakfast not very warm, dishes not replaced quickly when empty.
- Roy (6/5): Very poor stay at this hotel - Not happy about a few things of this short stay staff seam not experienced enough to look after customers had one evening meal very poor both of us hardly had any of the meal staff asked if the meal was ok we replied no staff comment was i will inform the chef that was the last we heard not good enough for a £40 meal also room not cleaned all of our stay no clean towels all of our stay even after we left hotel card on the door for room to be cleaned overall not a very good stay .
- James (8/5): Short break - Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Housekeeping arrived rather late (4.30pm) on one day, just as we were arriving back from an excursion, which wasn't ideal. Cooked to order breakfast mentioned in the hotel info pages was not available. Buffet breakfast was ok other than cold plates. Evening food was good with some daily specials. Enjoyed our stay & would return.
- Kevin (10/5): Manx gp visit 2025 - Lovely clean hotel breakfast okay. Rooms at top very hot need air con or better ventilation for summer months
- Julie (10/5): - Lovely stay helpful staff easy check in . Stunning view of the lake
Bathroom a little dated
Highly recommend
- Jayne (10/5): - Very welcoming, excellent service, comfortable rooms and the food is amazing!
- Malcolm (10/5): - Great Hotel, our second visit this year from Arbroath, Scotland, will be back next year.
- David (8/5): Relaxing location not far from the town. - Relaxing location with Ramsey prom adjacent. Comfortable stay. Staff were helpful when approached though could be a little more attentive. Food was generally good with decent choice at breakfast.
- David (8/5): - This is a lovely property, however in the hot weather, whilst public areas are air conditioned, there are limited options for cooling bedrooms.
- Rajiv (8/5): - Be
- C (10/5): - Great service! We have door card issues in 205. We think it is the mechanism on the door. The hotel is a 10 minute walk into town. Great dinner options in town: Vellika Indian restaurant and The Square (great seafood). Amazing sunrises at 4am too. Free and easy parking. Breakfast is included and it is OK.
- Karen (10/5): - Loved one night stay.
- Dominic (10/5): - We had a lovely 6 night break at the hotel. It was just what we needed. All of the staff were super.
- Judith (8/5): 4 nights in Ramsey - Very clean, staff great. Meal on first night (Monday) was poor and cold. However we tried again on the last night(Thursday)and everything was great.
- Andrew william (8/5): - The only thing I didn’t like about the property was the lack of air conditioning in the rooms, bacon was poor quality at breakfast, apart from that the staff were excellent 👌
- Russell (10/5): - Fantastic staff very clean food was great booked for next year 2026
- Alan (10/5): - Overall very good value for money, bedrooms / eu-suite & facilities clean & functional (sadly GBNews & talk radio (on TV) as with many hotels are restricted to guests) large free parking on site, free entrance to swiming pool with voucher from hotel, next to large park with many amenities incl boating lake etc, beach, town centre & port.
- John (10/5): - what a lovely clean place, friendly staff and reasonable priced food and drink. A great place to stay for our last night - and when we return to explore IOM better, we will base ourselves here for all the trip
- Peter (10/5): - Warm welcome, easy to find. Very clean and with great facilities. Room easily accessible by lifts and stairs. The staff were very pleasant and hard working. Would highly recommend this hotel.
- James (8/5): - Well situated for touring around the IOM by car, competitive prices and plenty of secure parking immediately outside the hotel.
Food, including breakfast was average and there appeared to be a shortage of staff in busy periods.
Despite this criticism I would be happy to stay there again.
- David (10/5): - lovely hotel short walk into the town
- Sharon (10/5): - The property is ideally situated in the North of the Island. Plenty of parking or easy access to buses and electric tram. Two minute walk to the sea. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There was a good choice on the menu for our stay and all the meals we had were lovely.
- MARTIN (8/5): - Very good and helpful staff
Clean in every area and excellent position in Ramsey
A quality hotel
- Michael (10/5): - Conveniently located and lovely view of the lake. Short walk into the town or to the docks. Good food offerings.
- Mike (10/5): - Nice stay , lovely position and view over the lake in Ramsey
Room was nice , staff friendly, we will return
- William (10/5): - Fantastic place to stay
Great staff, nice rooms and bar.
5 stars from me
- Nicola (8/5): - Classic Lodges Ramsey was a good experience in that the room had everything you needed for a short stay, including an iron and ironing board, not that I'd use it but it's quite unusual, a large bed and overall good facilities. The breakfast waiters were lovely and the breakfast was very plentiful, freshly cooked and with good options such as continental, and quite a few cereal choices.
I would happily stay again as I thought the property was excellent value for money and conveniently located.
- Will (10/5): Really nice hotel in a great location - Stayed 3 nights. Really enjoyed it. The hotel was spotless, staff were excellent! Room quiet with a good view over the adjacent park/lake
Loads of parking. Area very quiet at night.
Right on the seafront.
Breakfast was ok. Not great - buffet was luke warm and the quality of the hot food was poor imo.
But I want to thank Ben on reception when we checked out for the help and compassion he showed in regards to another room I had booked - friends couldn’t fulfil due to a very sudden bereavement
- Susan (10/5): Lovely hotel. - Lovely hotel, couldn’t fault it. The location is perfect, next to the sea front but also next to a brilliant park with a boating lake and in easy walking distance for local amenities . The rooms are modern and very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable . Breakfast was included in the price of our stay and again I couldn’t fault it fresh and plenty of it and will also go the extra mile and cook fresh porridge and Manx kippers on request . I’ll definitely be visiting again.
- josephine (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it for the friendly staff, beautiful location and comfortable rooms. We also enjoyed the restaurant and overall great customer service. We hope to come back in the future !
- Andrew (10/5): Ramsey Park Hotel Review -
The Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was clean and had lovely views. The whole experience at the hotel was very good and we would stay again at the same hotel in the future.
- Peter (10/5): - Great hotel in a lovely location in Ramsey. Comfortable bed and good breakfast and dinner. Would stay here again next time I'm in the area.
- Alan (8/5): - The stay was ok, bit let down with the breakfast, was also let down with the parking as we had to park down on the road as it was said there was parking. Seems like wedding guests were priority to the hotel guests which wasn’t fair .
- Molly (10/5): - nice
- Verified traveler (8/5): Average - Breakfast not the best and duvet thickness too heavy/warm
- Julie (10/5): - Great location, easy walk into Ramsey. Plenty of parking. Room was excellent, very clean, excellent facilities, very quiet. Couldn’t fault it . Breakfast was great , good choice for cooked breakfast and cereals etc. Restaurant and bar great and prices similair to a pub.
- Timothy (10/5): - Had a very pleasant 4 day stay at Ramsey Park.
Will certainly stay here again next time we visit the Isle of Man
- Sarah (8/5): - All staff extremely friendly and very helpful. Plentiful, tasty breakfast. What more can you ask for?
- Timothy (10/5): Lovely hotel - Lovely staff and breakfast
- Sarah (10/5): - Fantastic friendly and helpful staff, hotel was clean and warm and my room had a lovely view of the sea. Great choice at breakfast, and again very friendly staff there. I'll be back!
- Ell (10/5): - Very nice updated rooms, lovely big bathtub, staff were ever so friendly and the included breakfast was delicious.
- Ell (10/5): - Staff were very friendly and approachable,
The room was of a good standard.
I did wish the windows opened wider, great sea views!
- Janet (10/5): - The Ramsey Park was Faultless it had everyting i needed. Clean comfartable Room excellent Breakfast plenty of parking and reasonable pricing would definately return.
- Julie (8/5): Lovely hotel shame about policies - Arrived at Hotel at 12.50pm and asked if room was ready by any chance, it was! However they wanted £10 per hour so £20 extra for an early check in! The room only cost £60 in first place so was disappointed in that service.
- Katherine (8/5): Lovely hotel…great staff - Staying for work. Lovely hotel very comfortable. Staff super friendly and helpful…credit to the hotel. Thank you. I’ll be back.
Minor issue of taking payment twice, but think this was slight confusion over hotels.com methods of payment. Called and was rectified immediately.
- SANDRA (6/5): Breakfast is everything. - I was told breakfast was until 10.00 am. I checked in on Friday and out on Monday. I chose to shower and pack then go to breakfast at 10:00 rather than go to breakfast and then pack. But breakfast had finished at 9:30. Apparently 10:00 is the weekend time but staff failed to tell me this for the day that it mattered most. Also, The Sunday breakfast was poor - a semi-cold - not hot - buffet and no fruit as I chose the fruit and yogurt option. Sigh!
- Tracy (10/5): - Lovely & quiet rooms
- Paul (8/5): Nice Stay - A nice stay for a few days on the island.
- Shannen (10/5): - Great hotel
- Shirley (4/5): Most unwelciming hotel I've ever stayed in - Very unwelcoming staff, room was in need of an update. Had an ussue with the lights not working, on reporting was told no maintenance staff available till Monday! However, got moved to another room, which was much nicer and looked like it was a lot newer. Didn't find the staff either approachable or friendly, on checking the menu as it was quite basic and boring we went out. On our return we decided to sit in the bar area and have a drink. The waitress said she would bring then over, but even though there was only 1 other person in the room she forgot to bring my husbands drink over. Shortly after an eldery couple came in and as it was rather draughty tried to shut the automatic doors. I went over to help and then we got told quite abruptly that the outside doors needed to stay open. It was cold uncomfortable and had no atmosphere so we went up to our room. The following morning we went down to breakfast which was okay. Then on checking out I was told the manager wanted a word. She said she had been informed of an incident with the doors the night before and wanted to let me know in no uncertain terms, that as a result of my shutting the doors which had just been repaired, I may be sent an invoice to have them repaired again. This was booked as a birthday treat for my husband and I feel that we treated like intruders. I would neither recommend or stay in this hotel again. Most disappointing 😞
- Roland (8/5): - Ah - MGP 2024 - the weather - not their fault!
We enjoyed our stay at Ramsey Park. The staff were really friendly and keen to help - but some needed a little training or guidance, being so young. Eventually, I found someone who could get my room door key to work for longer than a few hours! My room was clean and the bed comfortable but - the wind whistling through the faulty window seals - togerher with a bit of rain shows a need for a bit of maintenence.
Overall - would i stay there again - yes!
- John (8/5): - Friendly helpful staff, building maintenance could improve a bit (sink plug missing, window seal failing ) otherwise no complaints. Great location and spacious rooms.
- Kerry (8/5): - The hotel was lovely, the staff polite and courteous. Although we coukd not shut our window it did not become a problem. I would definitely stay again
- Michelle (6/5): Outdated - The room was clean but not up to my standards, dusty and a little outdated ( could do with a lick of paint )
Friendly staff
- Verified traveler (6/5): Budget hotel, clean and nice location. - The service was fine: in particular, the younger staff were and attentive.
From what I saw, from reception, dining area through to bedroom, everything was very clean.
Although not necessarily a bad thing, I class The Ramsey Park Hotel very much as a budget hotel: the fit-out looks like it has had the most cheapest fittings to get through planning control rather than aspiring to be a desirable destination. I feel the prices normally should be cheaper however, they can get away with it due to lack of local competition in Ramsey, which is a great shame given the charms of the town.
Buffett breakfast was oaky if comparing with the lower end of the hotel market. (Cheap produce, but does what it does on the tin.) My only gripe was that my scrambled eggs were stone cold. I didn’t complain as it would have been too much effort and would have ate the rest of my breakfast by the time I would have given the staff the chance to rectify. Again, staff were pleasant.
- Craig (8/5): - Lovely location and great views from the room. Comfy bed and surroundings.
- Brian (10/5): - Quiet area of Ramsey but near enough ti racecourse uf bikes are your thing. Excellent location opposite local park amenities
- Linda (10/5): - Plenty of parking, within walking distance of Ramsey shops.
- Kathryn (8/5): - Breakfast on the first couple of days was excellent. Though we kept been switched from function room to the restaurant. It would be good if this was mentioned at check in just as a heads up as Sunday morning was then a buffet. There are limited dining options in Ramsey so stayed for dinner, it was a little chaotic due to staffing issues. The menu sounded lovely but the meal was bland, a bit dry and lack seasoning.
- Heather (10/5): - Good stay
Everything was as expected
Nice and Quiet
Good Breakfast
- Fenella (8/5): Perfect getaway to the Isle of Man. - A lovely Hotel in the picturesque town of Ramsey in the north of the Island. Close to local amenities and right next to the beautiful Mooragh Park.
- Heather (8/5): - Excellent stay
Room could have had a better view (we know the area) but was clean and comfortable and reception could have been friendlier and more efficient
Breakfast good
- Lorraine (10/5): Perfect - Everything was perfect, clean, friendly staff, lovely breakfast.
- Boyd (10/5): - Very clean hotel evening restaurant food was amazing, breakfast was disappointing as it was greasy
- Jennie (10/5): - Staff were very friendly and Breakfast was great
- Verified traveler (4/5): Would not recommend; gotten worse, awful breakfast - We stayed at the same hotel last year, wasn't great last year but definitely a lot worse this year. The hotel breakfast was awful, before they used to provide freshly cooked breakfast to order. Now they have sparsely provided breakfast as a buffet. Although we came down early during our 3 day stay, there would be insufficient breakfast items. Ie they would only have just 2 sloppy left over fried eggs (whilst there were 2 of us) and no scrambled eggs. When we asked for more eggs it took forever to arrive: one example was our request for eggs well done, resulting in the staff taking the old 2 eggs and chef send back after sticking under a grill. My partner asked for a plain omelette and a bunch of roughly whisked eggs arrived with white and yellow bits. The bathroom was filthy. There was a towel with a brown stain! The shower tray was blocked and the water in the shower kept creeping up when we used it, we reported this and someone came and supposedly repaired it but the water although a bit better would still accumulate when showering. The taps were all matt and the corners of showers were dirty. Hardly any toilet tissue upon arrival. Lift mirror, surfaces etc, door openers, handles, public spaces etc all very sticky and unclean. The staff were constantly chatting with each other throughout breakfast. They would not notice that it was only 8.45 and that some of the breakfast food was finished as they were busy chatting behind the bar. Unclean with bad breakfast!
- Susan (10/5): - Very nice stay
- Barbara (4/5): - Disappointing considering the cost and expectation.
1. A facial tissue box in the room was empty when I arrived and never replenished over 5 days.
2. A used sandwich plate was left for 4 days, never cleared.
3. Bedroom wastebin emptied but left in two parts with no liner for 4 days.
4. Bathroom needs a thorough clean there are areas full of dust.
5. I was entertaining visitors on Sunday evening, at around 9pm a very sullen man began barking orders to his staff who he set to cleaning around us, very uncomfortable, then at 9.10 the bar shutters were lowered and all staff disappeared, no more service, disgraceful. A coach party had arrived and at least 30 guests came in looking for drinks, bar was closed, huge loss of revenue.
6 As individual paying guests expecting a reasonable breakfast buffet, we found we were lumped in with the coach party sharing their fare, not on when paying normal hotel rates.
7 the bedroom was not vacuumed once.
- Doreen (8/5): - Tasty Breakfast, served by friendly staff. Hotel in good position set between a Lake and the Sea. Seen lots of Wild Flowers and Birds in a few days.
- Kevin (8/5): - The hotel is light, open and spacious throughout and generally a step up from the budget chain offerings we generally use and very good value.
- Edward (8/5): Good one night - Room great, hotel really good , excellent condition , staff tried hard but looked a little overwhelmed by coach party booking at the bar and on food service. Having said that food was great just a long wait.”
- Isaline (10/5): - The rooms at the front of the hotel have a beautiful view of the lake and the park and North barrule in the distance. It is convenient for all the facilities in Ramsey. The staff were very good.
- Tom (6/5): - Very like a Travel Lodge or Premier Inn but much more expensive.
Felt sorry for the few staff who were there and were run ragged. They did try but few staff.
- Samantha (8/5): Couple's holiday - Spent 5 nights in the hotel. Lovely breakfast each morning. Best selection of fresh fruit I've seen in a hotel breakfast. Dinner the first night was ok but we got dinner on the Saturday night, which was much better. The reception, bar and restaurant are all in the lobby area so service can be a little slow at times but overall, it was an enjoyable stay.
- Angie (6/5): - Huge shortage of staff and the staff within the dining area were unprofessional and on occasion rude….not acceptable
- Susan (8/5): - Handy for a night’s stay. Bit pricey for what is essentially a room like you’d find in a Premier Inn. Breakfast not great, with cold plates for hot food. Staff on duty for breakfast looked fed up. Still enjoyed our stay though and the girl on reception was friendly.
- DARREN (10/5): - Very nice definitely would recommend.
- Mark (8/5): - Location, staff, food, drink, parking, atmosphere, decor, room size we’re all excellent. Not cheap but will return. Cleaning could have been a little better
- Alan (10/5): - Very nice place all staff very helpful and friendly (bar1)
Thank you
- Jeff (4/5): - Nice location.Good breakfast.
Had to wait until 4.30 to check in and then found lift not working and our room was on the second floor, staff did carry our suitcases to our room but some disabled guests had a terrible time trying to climb the stairs to their rooms.
- Neil (10/5): Excellent staff - Hotel clean, modern and ideal for our stay.
All staff were excellent and would not hesitate to assist. That includes reception, restaurant and room service.
Would definitely stay again.
- Michael (8/5): Easter holiday with dog in IoM - Very nice and dog friendly hotel, near to the beach and park, which was great for walking the dog.
The hotel staff went out of the way to accommodate us having set aside a table in the lounge so we could take breakfast with our dog next to us.
Kippers for breakfast was delicious. Great base for exploring IoM.
- Lesley Ann (8/5): Great stay with friends - Comfortable stay, very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfasts were amazing, a freshly cooked to order and lots of choice from the self serve area for juices, cheese, cereals fresh fruit, yogurts toast and pastries. The bar was well stocked but bar service was a bit slow.
- Tina (10/5): - Lovely hotel with friendly efficient staff. Gorgeous location too, our room overlooked Mooragh Park.
- paul (8/5): - It is clean, modern and comfortable. The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings with the Mooragh Park, the mountains and the sea
- Breeshey (10/5): A great hotel with the best staff. - I can only say a huge thank you to the Ramsey Park hotel staff for a wonderful stay. The staff at the hotel are fabulous from reception to banqueting manager, waiting on staff and housekeeping all of them couldn't do enough for us. We stayed as a family to attend my Mums funeral and wake and the attention we were given made a difficult time better. Thank you. We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
