It's a hotel which is a bit up in the hills (you need to go up by tuktuk at least) so the views to the mountains are amazing. The hotel staff was very friendly and the restaurant was delicious! The rooms are very well equiped, the beds are comfy and the airco works great! The bathroom is also great. The best was to take a swim at the pool with those spectacular views. Highly recommended! Nothing wrong

Yataklar çok konforlu. Havuzu ve manzarası çok güzel. Çocuk yatağı istedik. Gelip 5 dk içerisinde kurdular. Odalar ve duş çok temiz. Çalışanlar her zaman güleryüzlü ve yardımsever. Hizmet kalitesi çok üst düzey. Sri lanka da çok fazla bu tarz tesis yok.

The infinity pool was so lovely after a busy day of sightseeing. We ate in the restaurant twice which was also very good. We liked everything. The hotel is 20mins by tuk tuk up a very steep windy road - we loved being away from the craziness of the city and found it to be so tranquil but if you're looking for night life you need to be aware of this.

A wonderful hidden oasis in the mountains😁 - A beautifully presented boutique hotel, with stunning views as well as a very professional team of hotel staff, always willing to help & advise. Although the 3 miles journey from Kandy City to the Fox sometimes feels endless, the stunning views alone are well worth it, just make sure you hold your tuk tuk tightly.

• Rabiah (10/5): Luxurious stay in the hills - Really peaceful stay in the hills, but still very accessible to Kandy town (10 min tuktuk). This also means that the climate is cooler than the city centre, which was ideal to escape some of the heat. Clean, comfortable and large room and bathroom. We stayed in off peak season so got a great deal. There’s an infinity pool and wellness centre, which we enjoyed. Breakfast buffet and dinners were good & staff were lovely!

• Melanie (9/5): Rund um zufrieden - Wenn man die aufregende Anfahrt überstanden hat (sehr steile und enge Straße) kommt man oben an und ist von dem Blick über das Tal überwältigt! Wirklich toller Ausblick. Die Anlage ist wunderschön angelegt und der Poolbereich ein Traum. Wir haben an beiden Abenden im Hotel Restaurant das Buffet genossen, alles lecker und unterschiedliche Lokale Gerichte zum probieren , aber auch gemischtes europäisches Essen und Salat sowie Nachspeisen Ecken , auch ideal für unsere 4 jährige Tochter, die am Buffet kostenfrei mitessen durfte. Morgens gibt es guten Kaffee und ein sehr gutes Frühstücks Buffet mit live cooking Station für Waffeln und Eierspeisen . Die Mitarbeiter waren allesamt aufmerksam und freundlich und sogar meine spontane Anfrage am Abend für eine Massage wurde binnen 1,5 h organisiert. Wir können das Hotel auf jeden Fall empfehlen und würden wieder kommen, lieben Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt! Nicht schlimm oder negativ , wir waren nur überrascht, dass wir an einem Abend kein Bier oder Wein bestellen konnten. Uns wurde dann von unserem Guide erklärt, dass dies am Vollmond liegt, da an diesen Tagen an sich anscheinend kein Alkohol getrunken werden sollte. Nach dieser Erklärung war für uns alles ok und haben dies absolut respektiert.

Rommet var fint, rent og bra. Personalet var snille og høflige. Vi var uheldige og hadde kakerlakker på rommet vårt.

• Emma (10/5): 2 Nächte in Kandy - Wunderschöne grüne Anlage mit infinity Pool. Das Zimmer im kolonialstil war wunderschön mit Aussicht in die Berge. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat uns bei der Organisation von Ausflügen gerne geholfen. Frühstück war lecker und vielseitig. Die Zufahr zum Hotel war sehr steil und abenteuerlich. Wir sind aber gut angekommen.😊

Camera spaziosa, con balconcino dove poter ammirare il sole che sorge su un'immensa vallata. Il fatto che sua poco fuori Kandy è, a nostro avviso, un punto di forza del resort. Il ristorante offre sia piatti a buffet che à la carte, deliziosi. La colazione più ricca e variegata che abbiamo trovato in Sri-Lanka. Piscina a sfioro bellissima. Tutti gentilissimi, dalla reception, ai camerieri. Peccato essersi fermati solo due notti. La strada per arrivarci è un po' accidentata.

• Deanna (10/5): - The property and staff were all amazing. The breakfast and dinner was good. Getting a ride via pick me can take some time as not all drivers want to come up the hill. Make sure you a lot enough time for travel. We were going to be late for our train because a PickMe driver canceled. But the hotel made some calls and arranged for a quick Tuk Tuk ride and we made it right in time.

• J (9/5): - A very beautiful hotel. Bedrooms are excellent and beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are clean with a lovely shower. Having stayed in many 5 star hotels Fox Kandy feels like it’s just touching that feeling, with only a few things to improve. It's a very quiet hotel with a lovely views of the mountains. Restaurant food and buffet is value for money and really good. Complements for the chefs hard work. Reception staff are smiling all the time and always attentive for every customer. One of our party has mobility issues and it was z as bit far to their room. Check-in desk understood and offered an upgraded room closer to the facilities for no extra charge. This made our worries go away and we were all able to enjoy our stay. All the hotel staff made sure our stay with them was a very enjoyable experience. The spa treatments are excellent and value for money. Getting to the hotel have 4 routes. Do not trust Google or Waze directions, instead follow the 'Fox Kandy' board signs or ring the hotel to get directions before driving up the hill. The hotel proactively provides this information before you arrive but I ignored it which was my mistake. Don’t be me. I will stay again in The Fox Kandy Hotel for long weekend visits. Next visit will be just staying in the hotel and relaxing with lots of spa treatments. The last few meters of road to the hotel entrance could be improved. It would be nice to have the potholes fixed.

The road is really hard and long, some small stuff like small towels etc were missing. You need to take stairs for everything restourant, lobby etc

They don't serve spirits but do have a wine and beer list if that important to you. Spa was overpriced and looked slightly out of character with the quality of the rest of the hotel.

• Selina (9/5): Fantastic views from a top class hotel - We really enjoyed our stay in Fox Kandy. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well equipped and there were amazing hill views from the dining room and infinity pool. The staff were fabulous from the start, very attentive and helpful, particularly Suresh on the front desk who went out of his way to help us with transport and tours etc. The food was first class, expertly cooked and really tasty. Thumbs up for the breakfast egg hoppers and breakfast Sri Lankan curries and omelettes! The hotel is quite remote and on top of a hill - the access is steep and our taxi driver couldn’t find it at first! But once we knew the way, all was good, and the views more than made up for the difficult location. The only main criticism was that there was no beer for two of the four nights we were there. After nearly 24 hours travelling a cold beer would have been very welcome! 😊
• Samantha (10/5): Relaxing retreat after sightseeing - Fresh air and amazing views. Great pool for relaxing after a days sightseeing. Lovely staff who were instrumental in planning my days. Next time I will stay an extra day to relax at the pool and do a hike. Their filtered water in glass water bottles is an added bonus, this should be highlighted on the website as it makes a difference to an eco conscious traveler. Nothing! All superb
