Honestly I didn’t experience anything I didn’t like.

Close to the Thameslink so easy to get to. The outside gate wasn't locked after 11, there was an inside door that was locked but would have been nice to have the extra security

• Patrizia Vitolo (8/5): Great place to stay - Great pub, Great room!! It was huge. Very close to get to KCH for an early appointment. It was quite noisy, you could hear everything from the pub, outside and every train that went past. But, ear plugs sorted that out

• Benjamin (10/5): - One of our favorite hotels in the world. The beauty of every detail is one-of-a-kind. The staff is pure gold. Don’t expect some fake overfriendlyness but real people with a good heart. The little neighborhood becomes nicer and nicer, everytime we’re there. Of course as a tourist we might be blind on the gentrification eye, but it feels like there is a caring community. Thanks to the train station just across the street, you are in London city in less than 15 minutes. We saw 3 different rooms now. If you want to treat yourself, book the suite, but be aware, you might end up not wanting to leave the room. And of course, don’t miss Sunday roast in the restaurant! Nothing that bothered us, but we think it’s fair to mention, that the historical windows are thin and you hear the street in your room. For us, that’s part of being in the place, but it might be difficult for people who are more sensitive.

Excellent location for a show in Brixton. Obviously it’s in a fairly busy location so street and train noise but reasonably quiet after 12.
• Jérôme (9/5): Très agréable week-end, animé, dans un hôtel qui a une vrai personnalité - L'hôtel a une décoration très atypique (plutôt vintage) ce qui fait son charme par rapport aux hôtels à la déco très "standardisée". Pub et restau au RDC (un peu bruyant en fin de semaine, mais la musique s'arrête à 23h). Le mieux est de participer (souvent musique live) avec une bonne bière ! Personnel très sympa, petit-déj' extra. Hôtel un peu excentré par rapport à l'hyper centre, mais accès facile aux bus/métro. L'isolation est également "vintage" (simple vitrage dans les chambres). On entend bien le train qui passe pas très loin (mais pas/très peu de circulation la nuit).

• Arezu Tabarsi (9/5): Half Moon stay amazing after attending Music event in Brixton 😎🌙 - I stayed in Bean Duke the Lovely Cabin room. It looked Wonderful & bed was Cosy. Fab Location & Staff were Friendly. Breakfast room was nice Staff handed me a Menu & I chose the Healthy one option + Latte really enjoyed how they make it Fresh & bring it to you. They did also have some options you can grab yourself like orange Juice etc. My room was on floor 2 & There was a Nespresso in the room with 4 different pods to choose from + mini fridge with 1 still + 1 sparkling water & mini- Semi skimmed glass bottle a milk. The was 2 bathrobes + slippers in bathroom. Was a great idea being able to go in & out through side entrance with your hotel key card. I would deffo book again & my reason for stay was went to a Music event in Brixton on 26th a March 2026 so definitely added to having a suitable place to stay close to where event was on & my friend who came with me stay 15mins from Half Moon was so handy aswell meeting back up with them the next morning in Brixton. • Adam (10/5): Great location, fabulous staff excellent stay - Lovely atmosphere created in the main by the staff who were excellent throughout. Special mention to the morning crew who greeted us for breakfast with a smile and lots of chat. The room we stayed in Aldrin was spacious and ideal for our needs for the two nights we stayed there. Convenient overground trains to both Victoria and Blackfriars makes getting into Central London very easy. The pub downstairs is a real plus and there is a great outside space both in the front and back of the bar. Nothing to not other than being next to a railway line does mean that you do get a bit of noise from trains rattling through the nearby station but nothing to be too bothered about.

Lovely spacious suite room which was well appointed and comfortable. Good breakfast in the morning. Free drink tokens on arrival The pub/hotel is located on a busy junction, so inevitably there is quite a bit of traffic and rail noise, but that is not the fault of the hotel, it is just where it is located

I cuscini molto scomodi, anche uno sopra all'altro la sensazione di sprofondare è molta e sembrava non averli, il water, almeno nella nostra camera, veramente alto e quindi scomodo da utilizzare

I understand due to the age of the building radiators unlikely but I found it was too hot with the heater on and too cold without. Not a massive issue though.

Unbelievable when outside it is -2 degrees … a big disappointment !!! which should be seriously addressed

La zona donde está ubicado esta bastante bien, tiene una plaza donde hay algunas tiendas con encanto y hay opciones para comer y tomar una cerveza. El pub del hotel también es muy buena opción. Esta muy ambientado y la comida esta genial. Sobretodo los desayunos, son muy variados y con muchas opciones. No tuvimos tanta suerte con el tamaño de las habitaciones, eran demasiado pequeñas. La cama muy comoda y te ofrecian la posibilidad de tomar te o cafe. Tiene plancha, secador de pelo... muy completa. Pero eran tan pequeñas que no tenian ni un armario ni cajoneras donde poder poner la ropa. Solo un perchero con varias perchas. No pudimos deshacer la maleta durante los dias que estuvimos allí. Solo asegurarse de la habitación que os asignan, por lo demas repetiria seguro..

• Abeer (7/5): Did not feel welcome and won’t be returning - Cozy and warm room No hot water in the sink the water was freezing cold and shower water stopped on me twice mid-shower!! I reported this to the management and unfortunately the issue was ignored. There is also no lift do not recommend if you travel with heavy luggage

Felt at home as soon as we arrived, really friendly guy on reception who showed us to our room and couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Stayed here to be close to kings college hospital (5 mins on bus from the pub) to visit my brother recovering from massive surgery and really needed a place with a good friendly atmosphere as a base. Opted for the Half Moon as it had good transport links and liked the look of it online. Our expectations were absolutely exceeded and we were so glad we'd chosen such a nice place to rest our heads. Really friendly, professional staff who made us feel at home immediately at a time we really needed it. I stayed with my partner but if you're a solo traveller I'd 100% recommend it as it's in a lovely, safe area and I would have felt super comfortable staying by myself and venturing out at night etc. We treated ourselves to one of the grand double rooms - Irwin - was really lovely - so spacious, unique and comfortable. One of those rooms you walk into and go 'wow'. Huge bathroom with walk in shower, claw foot bath, really lovely boutique toiletries, massive comfortable bed with extra pillows and blankets in the wardrobe. Complimentary waters and milk in the fridge, coffee pods, tea and biscuits and coffee maker. There was so much to look at in the room - old fireplaces in bedroom and bath, unique fittings like old school filing cabinets for storage (trust me - they worked with the room), big full length mirror, vintage wooden desk and wardrobe - you could tell they'd put effort into finding all the pieces and it was very unique but still very trad and cosy. If you're a retro/upcycle/vintage nerd like me you'll love it and obsess over each detail from the ornate stained glass window in the bathroom to the retro radio on the nightstand. Simply not being able to stay longer. Oh and that we got back from the hospital after the kitchen had closed (stayed new years day) and I'd already got excited over several dishes on the menu 😆
