Guest Reviews
- Richard (10/5): - The Hallmarc Inn was worlds better than the property we stayed at the previous night, and less expensive. Cheerful staff, nice breakfast, clean room.
- Sue (2/5): - Electronic sign states continental breakfast-not offered. Pool -no. Lobby full of bags if mulch(?), boxes, shopping cart. Bedspread has holes melted into it. Chipped tub, rusted light sconce, unfinished furniture? Dirty upholstery, duct tape on door mechanism, tissue in peephole, cracked switch cover, smoke alarm hanging from ceiling, phone not working, no plugs in drains. Complaint to reception on spread, she is aware. “They ordered new.”
- Eileen (10/5): - Very very nicely kept. Very accommodating staff. Food options close by.
- Jean (4/5): - Extremely noisy, too few blankets thin walls could hear people next door
- brittany (10/5): - Everything
- Minghua (8/5): - The 1st assigned room was the booked room two beds, non smoking. But it has no pillows, no bed covers.
The front deck assigned to another room which has strong smoking odors. The bedding sheets had a lot of rinkles. The floor has paper chips and the coffee maker was dirty.
- Katie (8/5): - Older hotel with surprisingly modern upgrades. Well kept, well lit, and plenty of parking. Reasonable pet fees ($5/ night per pet). A little too much traffic noise on the interstate side and the cleanliness of the bathtub surround was questionable. Otherwise, it was a good value for a one night stay
- Robbi (4/5): - When I got to the property I was told( by a very rude lady at the desk) that I had no reservation. That they were no longer ‘honoring’ on line reservations! For an additional $30 per night I could have a room. NOPE!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Dirty, dangerous, rude staff - Worst motel that I have stayed at thus far. Every single aspect was bad. Dirty, dangerous, rude staff. Would have rather slept in a truck stop. I wouldn’t stay here again if they paid me.
- Angela (6/5): - The people cleaning.the property are not doing great job. Stains are everywhere. The toliet seat needed changing. Hotel going down
- Russell (2/5): The sound of the traffic go on by in front of the - The sound of the traffic go on by in front of the hotel was horrendous. I have never been in a hotel that the noise from outside was so loud inside that you could not sleep.
- Peter (8/5): - Like the fact that I could park the car right at the door to my room. Clean, comfortable, no frills, fair price.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We booked a room online. But when we arrived there and and asked for room that we booked. The lady there spoke very rudely saying no rooms are available. And online is showing rooms are available. I don’t know if that lady said wrong or they haven’t updated online.
- Anna (6/5): - Got to our room night 2, Our sheets were nasty when they were changed. They were still kind of wet. Went to front counter and the lady said sorry I can't do anything for you!
Got there and the second lady wasn't to eager to help us. We couldn't get into our room because our key wasn't working. Instead of coming to us and asking what she could help us with, she yelled across the lobby through the window sorry no rooms.
- Frankie (2/5): - The property was dirty and not maintained. The mattress was concave. The paint was peeling. Towels were thin and grayish. Definitely not worth the cost. Go somewhere else.
- Scotty (8/5): Top notch - Wonderful people. Always a great stay
- April (6/5): - Price was good. The person who I checked-in with was nice enough. The room had a mildew smell. Everything was wet from general humidity. When I tried to drop the room key cards off to the front desk, in the morning, the worker was on the couch sleeping. I tried ringing the bell several times, to wake them up. Ended up doing my best to put the key cards on the other side of the security glass, and far enough over so that no one could grab them. We were only there for about 6 hours, so it is what it is.
- Jason (4/5): - The floors were filthy! Rooms are super small and the beds are horrible
- Matthew (2/5): Stay away! - It was terrible. Bathroom door was so warped that one of the hinges had all the screws stripped out of the wood. If a child or woman had gone in and slammed the door they would not have gotten out. In the morning we saw the bathroom and all the ceilings were covered in black mold spots. Even the box springs had mold. None of this we saw at 10pm after an 850 mile motorcycle ride. Middle of summer the pool was closed. No “outside family area” as the pictures say not was their morning coffee as the pictures suggest. When I went to the office around 8am the office door was locked so you had to talk through the slot. Yet the lobby was open late when we had arrived. I wanted to look at the computer they have set up for guest and I was refused. I ask to speak to the manager as I wanted a refund for being put in a mold covered room. He repeatedly blew me off saying manager comes in at 11. Knowing we would not wait. This place was horrible. Sad thing is I have also been blown off by Hotels.com when I tried to contact them about my situation.
- Verified traveler (2/5): it was okay - decent
- Verified traveler (4/5): Will not choose this hotel again. - The hotel's location is right beside a highway, therefore it's quite noisy and bugs and insects can easily come in. I caught one fly and one mosquito in my room and couldn't catch another fly. The bathroom counter is the oddest kind I've ever seen. It seems wet ALL THE TIME. Also, there's mold around the top of the sink and hold and stains on towels. I will not choose this hotel again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I like how it can be for a “one-night” kind of night where it’s wild or even a multiple night stay that’s calm. No problems in my 2-night stay! I went to this hotel for my birthday events, and this hotel got the job done for my activities. Only complaint is that my room never got cleaned for my 2nd night stay; I even requested that they cleaned it as I was to be gone majority of the day and come back that night. I had to come in that night and atleast ask for more towels from the front desk as other services wasn’t available. Glad I cleaned up a bit myself prior and it wasn’t a huge mess! Overall, a good and comfortable stay. Housekeeping needs to be a bit better.
- David (2/5): Just stay away! - Three words. Don't. Just don't. Great hotel if you want to do crack. Run down hotel with big burn holes in the comforter that was probably 20 years old. Everyone smoking weed (our room reeked of it because of the neighbors). No cable TV (just regular antenna TV). Very noisy highway noise. The only good thing about this place is it didn't have bed bugs (I did a very thorough check).
- Era (10/5): Perfect - The room was perfect. Just what we needed after being on the road all day. Two double comfy, clean beds, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, air conditioning, nice bathroom, tv. It met our needs completely and we fell right asleep.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Noise bad from traffic
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really nice room at a reasonable cost. I was comfortable and slept well.
- Rebecca (8/5): - It is a nice hotel, and being pet friendly is a big plus.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was good plenty of space
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good value, close parking. easy check in/out.
Good location.
- Rickey (6/5): One Night Stand - For a 1 night stay it’s perfect.
- JoAnn (4/5): Live and learn - Our door was ajar when we arrived at the room, which was a bit unsettling but my husband didn’t find anything amiss so we stayed. There were stains on the pillow cases and were 2 dead bugs in the bed. In the morning I had 3 bug bites. We left at 5am because we were not sleeping well anyway because the tootraffic noise at this location is quite loud through the night.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - 1) The clerk was very surly at check in and when we called to get new sheets because the ones on the bed looked as if there was big spots of baby oil on them.
2) The only coffee available was the mini machines in the room. After the sheet situation, we were not confident that it had been cleaned anytime in the recent past.
3) The table and dresser/TV stand had a ring of sticky around the edge.
4) Although the bathroom was relatively clean the water pressure was almost nonexistent.
5) After we had paid we noticed a sign advertising the rooms for $30 cheaper than we were charged.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Would recommend - Was a quick overnight stop on a road trip. Located next to a highway heavily traveled by trucks so was a bit noisy.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The tub had mold on around it. I had to call for the housekeeper to come clean dirty toilet of a room I had got into it. The first room didn’t have a hot water and the more you twist the knob to hot it will cut off. But the owner was understanding. I use to love staying at hallmarc inn but after this experience I’m going somewhere else
- Bruce (6/5): - It was a clean and cheap room. However, no shampoo, no extra toothpaste or brushes when we asked, breakfast was so-so, but was acceptable. Manager in the morning was very helpful and easy to chat with.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Breakfast was only ok. And there was no shampoo available. But the price was very reasonable and the room was clean.
- SHANNON (8/5): - It was very relaxing
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The cleanliness and service was quick and easy. Room was neat and tidy even though ice machine was out
- Gail (10/5): - Overall very nice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The beds are comfortable. And it was a warm safe place to rest. Compared to what I’m used to when traveling, however: They didn’t clean off the chairs which makes me wonder what else wasn’t cleaned. There wasn’t any shampoo provided - I never pack it since I just use what’s at the hotel. Pillows were not comfortable, rather lumpy - luckily we do bring our own due to neck issues.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great price, very clean. Close to the freeway for easy access.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Property was dirty, smelly and mouldy . Desk staff was surly and uncooperative when trying to cancel all nights beyond the first one
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room had a stale mildew smell. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good but time ended early.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - DIRTY, VERY DIRTY!!!!
UNFRIENDLY STAFF, TERRIBLE PILOWS, NO USABLE POOL, ALMOST A NIGHTMARE!
NOT RECOMMENDED UNDER ANY CIRCUNSTANCES!!!
THEY NEED TO LEARN A LOT ABOUT THE WORD "HOSPITALITY"!!!
THEY DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS...
- Verified traveler (4/5): - room was not clean and the micro wave was damaged. no room service on saturday
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was fine and amenities. Desk clerk did their job, but I thought they should be more personable.
- Belinda (8/5): - Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly
- Mike (6/5): mike on business - Not the best experience. I stayed here one other times and it was good. This time not so much
- Tjohn (4/5): - Room w
Needs an update bedspread had burn holes. The furniture had several big scrapes in the wood. Extremely small room. Road noise was loud.
- Edin (2/5): - There was mold in the ceiling
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I loved this hotel. It was clean had comfortable beds nice fluffy towels. The pillows were not very comfortable but one night was all I needed
- Ben (2/5): - Room 117 carpet was nasty. After shower, I walked into carpet area, carpet felt sticky. Stepped back into wet tub and dirt from bottom of my feet looked like I had been outside. Upholstered chair was badly stained. Side of dark nightstand appeared to have mildew.
Bed sheets were clean.
Pool was clean.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The first king room I checked in to had black mold all over the ceiling so I was moved to a two bed second room. The second room I was given was okay but borderline. When I asked about any compensation for the change due to health hazards I was told that they had no way to do anything since I booked online. I called Orbitz and was told they would get back to me when they talked to the manager and haven’t heard anything since. Not a recommended hotel. I spend 40+ weekends a year on the road for 4-6 days each and never had these problems before.
- Veronica (10/5): Well worth the money - We only stay for 1 night but I really don't have anything to complain about. It was well worth the money, friendly staff, decent looking room (although there was no shampoo) and decent breakfast. I definitely recommend for a 1 night stop.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All was great, clean. Except needs pillows replaced and ac didnt work great, probably time to replace.would stay again.
- Stephanie (10/5): Best little secret I found - It was great stay.
- Scott (6/5): Middle of the road - Very middle of the road. Price was good. No problems really. Highway traffic was loud Friday night but ok Sat, Sun. Small room - dark dingy. Never tried breakfast but coffee ok.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendlt staff. Clean room! Nice place to stop while driving across country.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Relaxing - Wonderful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A decent, clean motel with friendly staff. Good rates.
- Robert (10/5): - I will go there again peace and quiet
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible. Just horrible. - Hotel service was less than friendly. Attendant was sleeping when we arrived and seemed irritated that we arrived. The room had a horrible smell, everything was sticky from god knows what. For having the best ratings in the area, it was highly misleading. You will be better off staying at one of the chain hotels in the area.
- WifeMomGma (4/5): - Cheap ran down hotel is what you get for the rate you pay as expected. Highway was super loud all night, must be very thin walls/ no insulation. Breakfast included waffle maker, orange drink & coffee...
- Joe (8/5): - Courteous, professional, accommodating, and
helpful during our stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location. Good price. Clean enough. Nice staff. Not the kind of place you stay for amenities.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Inexpensive and close to 55. Comfortable bed. Updated bathroom
- Ron (10/5): The cheapest was the best! - Very friendly staff. Easy check in. Clean rooms with great water pressure in the shower. I would stay here again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The 2 ladies that were at the desk they was so nice
- HAROLD G (4/5): Probably Best to Avoid - Place is dilapidated. Spiders in bathroom. No large towels. Ols spring mattress on bed. Room very small. Noise from highway. Ladies running the place were very nice. Breakfast was above average.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good place to stay - Always an ok place to stay. Convenient to where our daughter lives. Not a 5* hotel but sufficient. Bed is comfortable, clean. We return often. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired but is ok if you like carbs. Good price for a good nights sleep. Front desk personnel always helpful and friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - no comments...............................................
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Everything were OK or good enough but noise and ground shackles like small earthquakes from highway .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice /great staff, but couldn't keep original schedule even with reservation had to cancelled first night(wasn't charged. T.y. :). ). Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean, comfortable, and convenient. - Excellent location right on the interstate. Hotel is older, but is VERY clean. The room was nearly spotless - only thing needing attention was the bath mat, and it was more from age. The room looks renovated in the last couple of years. Granite/stone counter tops in bath and shower walls. Fixtures are older, but have been well taken care of and were very clean. Bed was comfortable. Given the location right next to the road, it was quieter than you'd think. This is not the Ritz by any means, but it is clean, comfortable, and super convenient. Parking lot had cameras everywhere and was pretty well lit, which adds to the safety. What more could you ask for? The staff was also VERY friendly. The ladies at the front desk could not have been more helpful. For the little money this room cost, I have ZERO complaints.
- Henry (10/5): Great Stop - All was great! Very clean and office staff very friendly. Only irritating thing was that the room next to ours has a beeping noise coming from it all night. Sounded like a truck was backing up. Would definitely stay again.
- Edward (10/5): - Unbelievably great place for the cost. Would definitely stay again!!😁
- Robert (10/5): Great stay and cost effective too - Wonderful staff, clean rooms, quiet, plenty of food and shopping around. Will stay here again.
- Roger (8/5): - Good for the cheap price
- Verified traveler (8/5): - If my father in law is happy we are happy. Everything was good.
- Tosha (8/5): Met Expectations! - Overall, a fantastic place to stay for the price. When I'm paying such a low amount per night, I do not have super high expectations. The room was not as clean as I would have liked and it definitely appeared to be an older room, but it fulfilled my family's needs perfectly (we needed an inexpensive room for one night to sleep/relax on the way home after a vacation). I would definitely recommend, but don't expect absolute perfection at this price.
- Todd (10/5): Nice room. Nice property. - Good breakfast. Nice room. Comfortable room
- Roger (8/5): Really nice! - Room and hotel was really nice! Had trouble getting there. After dark unclear markings on road made it difficult.
- DE (10/5): - courteous, prompt, clean. for the Price I was very pleased. and will stay again when traveling the same route.
- David (8/5): Good night - Enjoyed the inn. Would have preferred stay at the back of motel due to traffic noise. Looked like tv was cleaned with pledge but worked good. Vickie was very helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Road noise was terrible. Beds were worn out and breakfast was very disappointing. No yogurt, peanut butter or fruit of any kind.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A good choice - Probably the best place to stay north of West Memphis or in the area period. Bed was really hard but the room was better than expected for the price and the area. Nice little breakfast too.
- Jeffrey (6/5): Cheap stay for a night - Why you would expect from a lower priced hotel. Nothing fancy. Bed not that comfortable and pillows were not goof at all.
- JASON (8/5): Worth the price - Hotel staff was very friendly. Room was adequate especially for the price. It was clean and had all necessary amenities.
- Michael (8/5): Good budget friendly place. - I arranged this room for visiting family, but had to show up in person to have my credit card swiped. That is inconvenient in 2018. However, the check-in lady was as nice and courteous as could be.
- Signe (10/5): - Very nice and clean, convenient to freeway.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location and appearance are very good. Breakfast is simple. Rooms are pleasant and clean. Lighting and electrical outlets are adequate.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Disappointment - Floor filthy needed sweeping and mopping had to wash feet; sticky drink rings table; food n chair on wheels and stained with milk or other; cob webs in corners of bed room. Other than that fine.
- Brian (6/5): - Very close to the Interstate Highway thus very loud traffic noise
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean n cleap - It's a nice and cheap place to stay close to Memphis. There is some highway noise, but the place has been well kept and it is very clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very basic. Breakfast was coffee and cereal.
- Andy (6/5): - Sink was stopped up, took forever to drain. Floor was filthy. Chair arms were sticky from previous users and never cleaned. There were bugs in the bathroom/sink under counter.
- Scott (2/5): No Room after Reservation Made - No rooms available after we got to hotel.
- wayne (8/5): - good
- David (10/5): Great accommodations - Half the cost of their neighbors Comfort Inn and Hampton Inn. On extras like shampoo and such, towels were a bit scratchy too. It was clean, comfortable and friendly staff
I highly recommend the Hallmarc.
- Michael (8/5): Great value - A very modest hotel but for the price very well worth it. I would stay there again
