Bobby (9/5): Your hotel is nice and clean but definitely not up to standards of other Marriott locations. - We did not eat any food at the motel/hotel. We thought breakfast would be included and we usually have free breakfast when we stay at hotels. The pillows were not correct size for king size bed and were not comfortable. We could not get the room temperature adjusted to address a comfortable temperature as it was either too hot or too cold all night. When I was making my reservations, I signed in on my Hilton Honors website, and it took me to your hotel sight. I thought it strange it referred to Booking.com but I ignored that. I checked the price of your hotel, and it was comparable to what Hilton Honors cost, so I book the room and again ignored the Booking.com. The final outcome was your charge $159. with added taxes and cost resulting the final being $181.00. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was told somehow, I was routed to a third party for booking and I should be more careful next time!

Gideon (1/5): - During two out of three nights, I was disturbed by drunk guests. On the first night, some guests knocked on my door at midnight, woke me up, and demanded I open it. Only after realizing it wasn’t their room did they leave me alone—not that I got back to sleep quickly after such an incident. The next morning I reported it to the hotel staff, who told me they have a problem with drunk guests and can’t control it. The following night, the guests in the room next to mine started yelling and banging on the walls at 1 AM, waking me up again. I had to call the front desk and ask them to come up and request that the guests quiet down. The next morning as I left the hotel, I was again told drunk guests are beyond the hotel’s control and that they are sorry but nothing could be done, not even compensation, since the manager wasn’t present. After emailing hotel management, I received no response at all. Additionally, on my second morning, the breakfast fruits was moldy with white mold on it. While it was replaced imidiatly, this only added to the sense that the hotel does not maintain an adequate standard for its guests. The manager’s lack of response and the staff’s inability to ensure I could sleep during two out of three nights left a bad impression, and I will not return to this hotel.
Shirley (7/5): Noisy at night , as stated above, clean and enjoyed the pool . - Clean easy to get in and out from location. Our room was next to an outside door…. Constant LOUD slamming sound when it shut. Had a 4 year old toddler, who was awakened 4 times as well as his mother. Our room was across the hall, had the same noise issue from the door and above our room , every time the toilet was flushed you could hear it running down the wall. This was where our head board was located. The door sounds went on till1 am and toilet 12 mn. Front desk not empathetic at all. Said well they don’t know what to do with it yet ( referring to door)

Pullout bed in our room had cookie/cracker crumbs and a cell phone from someone who had stayed there previously. Cushions on couch were stained as were seats in lobby.

Janet (6/5): No free coffee!! What??! - This used to be our first choice in Somerset, even with a higher price tag. Not anymore- the room was adequate and the location was good BUT they no longer have a comp breakfast and not even coffee! Yes there is a single cup Kuerig in the room, but it’s not very practical for an early riser with a roommate. The “Bistro” (Starbucks) opens at 6:30 but a cup of coffee will run you $4-$6 each. It also serves food, again at high prices. There is not a breakfast alternative within an easy walk, but many choices are within a short drive. Their business decision to not provide free coffee means I will not book there again.

With the price of the stay it's not a good value to need to purchase breakfast elsewhere, especially on site. There was crumbled food in the ac unit that looked to have been there for some time. The wall thermostat worked but could not determine the temperature. It only displayed single numbers.
jimwZ8790TT (2/5): Don't direct bill this hotel. - I tried on multiple occasions to make a reservation, direct bill, to this hotel. I talked to the front desk person who forwarded me to someone that deals with direct billing. I left a message, twice, in a week. I then called back the following week and again had to leave a message. I advised the front desk person that the person doing the direct billing was not responding and they promised to hand deliver the message to call me. No call back. I gave up and called the Hampton, Somerset, which immediately too my reservation and direct billed it. I usually stay at Courtyards when I travel, but I guess the Courtyard at Somerset, KY doesn't want direct billing customers. Sad.

Amanda (8/5): 7/10 mattress needs updating - The room was pretty small to be considered a suite but still cute. The bed was the downfall. It was a very very uncomfortable spring mattress. The bathroom was pretty spacious. Loved the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner!

My husband and I stayed three nights and not once did house keeping clean the room or empty our trash or ask if we needed more coffee. We had to go out and purchase coffee for the Kurig. We could have asked the front desk, but I assumed because it was the Marriott that we should not have had to. The front desk never mentioned that there wouldn't be any housekeeping. Our trash was over flowing. The room was beautiful, but the fridge didn't hold a lot. The toilet seat cover had to be put down before you flush it or it would burb water and contaminates in your face when you flush. Not a happy customer for the price.

Our bathroom could of used more attention as far as cleanliness but not terrible. Even though it was Christmas A hot breakfast would of been nice, but It is more important to be with family.

Pros: - The staff are always friendly. - One of the nicer hotels in Somerset - Small but adequate gym - Middle of everything in Somerset - It’s often affordable Cons: - Despite being relatively new, it’s already feeling dated - There’s no sound insulation between floors or rooms. I highly recommend a top floor room, or you’ll hear every footstep (or kids running and bouncing balls) above you - I wish they free breakfast - The bar wasn’t really open during our last trip and closes pretty early and they have limited selection in their market
