- C4852SXjamesm (6/5): Nice hotel, but with obnoxious fragrance in the lobby - The hotel was clean, the bed comfortable, but there was a strong synthetic vanilla fragrance in the lobby that would’ve caused my wife to immediately leave the hotel and cancel our reservations if she had been there. The hotel should be sensitive to fragrances that can cause migraine headaches. Such fragrances are not necessary and don’t add to the experience.

He was really polite and represented the hotel very professionally. After a long trip from Montgomery my wife and found the trolly well put together and all screws were tight. Lobby was really clean and smelled fresh. Environment from the car park to the room including elevator and hallway was clean and fresh. Ice machine on the floor was in working order thank you. Room was clean and fresh and had all the towels, utensils and soap as required. Bed and bedding was clean and fresh and did not have lumps or holes in it. Pillows were a little hard for me. Not hidden trash or crap found in the couch, chairs, sink or shower. Thanks. Breakfast was good and plenty except for last day there was no milk out at 0900. But I didn’t have time to stay and ask. Turkey sausage was kind of funky tasting. I would like to see yogurt in the cups back. I’m not keen on the yogurt machine. It was a good stay for 4 nights. Oh the edger man slung grass on our car and it stuck because of th heavy dew. Grounds looked good though. Thanks for a good stay. Tommy

As a state worker who travels for work, I now have to pay for a reservation I was unable to stay in, since the state won't. Carlos always greets people with a smile and is quick to help with any requests. Rebecca is knowledgeable and kind. She helped me hunt down my phone one evening! Miriam, the manager, is nothing but the perfect host. All of the staff is fantastic and I truly appreciate how inviting they’ve made their space for us travelers. The hotel itself is kept clean and the amenities are great. Hot breakfast and a happy hour with beer/wine/snacks. Yum! There is no hot tub, but there is a pool section for younger children which is nice. Their two laundry machines work fine. I was provided a hot plate, a pot, and pan when I asked for them. The room comes with basic dishes/silverware/cooking utensils. Large fridge. While I wasn’t present when the cleaning staff flipped the room each day, I could see that they were being very respectful of the space. My personal items were never disturbed. I occasionally didn’t get around to cleaning a dish or two and they were kind enough to take care of that. All in all a very nice experience. I would return again.

- Z1155MXbriang (10/5): Wonderful Hotel Experience in McAllen - I spent months in the Home 2. The hotel staff was excellent. Salome the head house keeper was a great asset to the McAllen Home 2. Anytime l had a concern with my room she jumped on top of it immediately. Miriam the hotel Manager was a delight and exceptional; she was very personable and a gracious host. I would certainly stay at McAllen Home 2 Suites again for my future visits to McAllen, TX.

- Gladys L. (8/5): - We had a very pleasant stay at the Home2 Suites. The hotel was very clean, welcoming, beautifully decorated, and smelled really good. The room was super spacious; it had a kitchenette, and we loved the toiletries they had in the bathroom. Maybe the blankets could be a bit more fluffier. Breakfast was good but could use a bit of improvement with variety of options. I would’ve given it a full 5 starts but when we arrived the guy at the front desk didn’t greet us or even acknowledge we were in front of him, he kept typing on his computer. After a few minutes I asked if there was someone who could check us in, he just looked at me and said “I can, just give me a minute”, he looked back down, kept typing and took a few more minutes before he could ask what name the reservation was under. I did not get a name, he wasn’t wearing a name tag. Other than that hiccup everything else was great.

- Mary (10/5): - The staff at this facility is remarkable. Due to flight delays I had to check back in. Without transportation, they offered to shuttle me to the nearby shipping center for clean clothes. Afterwords they picked me up at a nearby restaurant. My new flight left at 4:30 am and they shuttled me to the airport at 3:15 am. I am so thankful for their kindness and consideration. This is the reason I stay at Home 2 Suites everywhere I travel.
