• gertjan (9/5): - Het bad op de suite is geweldig, net een mini zwembad en het grote bed ligt uitstekend Niks eigenlijk
• Jelle (7/5): Aardig maar prijs/kwaliteit niet in balans - Mooie locatie en omliggende tuin/terras en fraai gerestaureerd gebouw. We vonden het geheel niet helemaal in overeenstemming met de prijs en de ambitie. Kamers zijn ok maar bedden niet geweldig en het is erg gehorig (zowel door de muren als door de plafonds). Ontbijt en vooral diner is echt wel aan de dure kant voor wat je krijgt.

Een heerlijke rustige plek Een klein dingetje.. bij inchecken even vermelden dat je pas stroom hebt in de kamer, als je met de kamersleutel in de muur een schakelaar moet omdraaien

• Marie (9/5): Het was heerlijk en lieve gastvrije mensen - De gastvrijheid en authentieke uitstraling/sfeer binnen Het was allemaal top. Het douchen in t bad kon makkelijker als er een juist bevestigingsstukje was zodat je de sproeier niet vast hoefde te houden.

• MsCat.M (7/5): It was lovely for 1 night - The location is lovely if you want a quiet get away or need a stopover in the area that's peaceful and surrounded by nature. Everything was really cosy and nice. We had two single beds which was not ideal and my son kept falling into the middle gap. The bathroom wasn't properly cleaned, there was some toothpaste and other dirt left over from the previous stay. Not very bad just a bit unpleasant. And was overall dusty.

• mathias (10/5): heerlijk - Het ligt heerlijk rustig, meer heb je niet nodig. ruimte is goed, kamer en badkamer is goed. Restaurant lounge is goed. Niets op aan te merken. We waren hier 10 j aar terug geweest, en we vinden het nog steeds een heerlijke stek. dat we al naar huis moesten

• Pauline (8/5): Mooi en comfortabel verblijf - De locatie, en hoe het hotel eruitzag. Eten en personeel was ook vriendelijk en behulpzaam Hooguit het geluid onder andere, is best gehorig. In de ochtend werden wij wakker omdat de kamer boven ons we hele tijd gestamp hoorden alsof iemand de hele ochtend daar hard aan het lopen was. Koelkastje was er niet en er was alleen een regen douche die werkte. Een losse kop is fijn en een tip om overal goed bij te kunnen komen met wassen

• Till (9/5): Schöne Station unserer diesjährigen Fahrradtour mit Kind - Schöne Unterkunft auf unser diesjährigen Fahrradreise mit Kind. Die Hofanlage ist sehr schön angelegt und umfunktioniert worden. Im Restaurant haben wir am Abend eine gute Zeit gehabt. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gute Parkplätze für Fahrräder vorhanden. Die Dusche war leider nicht in Ordnung. Die Handbrause im Zimmer 12 war nicht nutzbar. Zudem ist das Zimmer recht dunkel gewesen.

• dS9185VL (6/5): Improvements can be made but dinner is amazing . - This Hotel/Guest house is only ok. The dinner is sensational and you expect the rest of the hotel to match the dinner but I don’t feel it does. The rooms are basic with very bad mattress & pillows , the shower turns hot and cold constantly. The wifi is terrible and not good for business which is what we use it for. Breakfast is not bad for the price . Staff are lovely & a credit to the dinner chef as my veal was amazing. If they got new mattress, improved the wifi & shower it would be a lovely business stay.

The breakfast was ordered at the table, cooked to order and served by a member of staff and not the usual buffet set up that you usually get. This was very nice too! The staff were very helpful also. The ambiance of the hotel was very relaxing after a day at work! No complaints.

• Pascal (8/5): Au calme avec vue sur champs - Hôtel en pleine campagne au calme avec chambre avec vue sur champs Wifi fiable Accueil dans toutes les parties (hôtel restaurant et petit déjeuner) un peu lent mais très aimable Chambre spacieuse ; disposition originale de la sdb (mais peut être pas le cas dans toutes les chambres) La plupart des chambres ne sont pas accessibles en fauteuil Lit correct un peu mou , chambre non chauffée à mon arrivée (mais en 1/2h Ok) Restaurant avec une carte limitée mais des mets de qualité avec beaucoup de saveurs différentes mais toujours équilibré. Tarif normal , ni très cher ni très abordable. Petit déjeuner servi sur plateau avec choix entre 3 types de déjeuners. Qualitatif aussi Coin lounge très beau avec fauteuils, tables, coin cheminée avec choix de bières consequent et bonnes

Very limited overpriced menu, small breakfast dishes, and dinner menus were limited with few good choices, unless you like fancy small unfamiliar food. No coffee at the room, very noisy at the room, could hear snoring at the next room, no elevator and for a price that didn’t fit the expectations.
• GustavoMMS (6/5): It’s more a 3,5 rate - We choose the chef’s menu 4 course meal and the food was nice and well prepared, nevertheless it was the same menu as the 3 course menu added with a fish course in between. We chose also the 4 wines arrangement but the selection given didn’t match the courses specifically for the starters and the fish. The staff was not very attentive, leaving empty glasses on the table and bringing immediately the new wine once we finish the previous one instead of bringing the wine when the correspondent course would get to the table. For 100.00 euros per person there is a lot for improvement.

Staff was extremely flexible in securing our electric bikes. Excellent selection of wines. The only means of public transportation at night to the closest town (8km away) was a rather expensive taxi.

• Hilger (6/5): Beautiful but a bit rough around the edges - Beautiful location, very quiet and charming. Food was good quality - recommended the local specialty of mustard soup. The room was adequate but not what we expected for the advertising or price. Very cramped (it was good we only had one large suitcase), wifi a bit weak, shower sprayed water everywhere, and was generally in need of some tlc (bit rough around the edges). Room had no kettle, only a coffee machine with caffeinated pods, and we were in the secondary building, so no way to make a tea in the room, which has been standard elsewhere. The food was good quality / tasty but the options were very limited both at breakfast (3 options) and dinner (set 3 course menu, surprise multi course menu or a very limited a la carte selection).
• Annick (10/5): Exceptional - For breakfast, you have a choice of 3 varieties. In no time they serve what you ordered. Plenty of extra if required. The food in general is exceptionally fine! I am most definitely going back to taste the other options on the menu! I liked everything about this stay!
• Jan (8/5): Havezathe Carpe Diem is zeer de moeite waard - de Havezathe Carpe Diem is gevestigd in een oude boerderij. Het gebouw is prachtig gerestaureerd en nu een prima hotel. De kamers zijn gesitueerd in een apart gebouw, dat lijkt op een voormalige stal. De kamer die wij hadden was zeer ruim, met prima bedden en net sanitair. Het restaurant was uitstekend, we hebben er heerlijk gegeten.

• PieterdeN (8/5): Cosy and quiet - We stayed two days in Carpe Diem, just prior to the semi-lockdown. Covid arrangements were well in place. Fine lobby around the (gas) fire. The room under the roof was ample, however, the separation between bathroom (shower in a wide bath) and room is not more than a screen. WiFi is good all over the hotel. The restaurant was excellent with good fusion dishes. Gentle staff. A bit unfortunate is the somewhat boring scenery. The distance to Montferland is over half an hour cycling through the meadows.

De volgende dag vroeg men dat dit bij de beschrijving stond. Men had dit nog keurig gevraagd. -Kamer keurig -Badkamer keurig -Heerlijk bed -Goede en vriendelijke bediening -Super Locatie -Landelijk gelegen Voor herhaling vatbaar! Door het wat mindere weer past dit keurig bij het mooie plaatje in de Achterhoeck

• s a (10/5): A place to stay. - The hotel is situated in the countryside and although it was windy the hotel and surrounding countryside was wonderful, although I was on a business trip this is a place which would be perfect for a romantic stay too. To be recommended.
