• Stani (10/5): Great place to stay and rest - We had such a great stay at Popular Lanta Resort! The bungalows were new and clean with good bathrooms and hot water. Nice seating area in front of each bungalow. We had 2 pools to choose from and the beach is just 5 minutes away walking. The host John was amazing - eager to help with all our needs. Thank you very much for the hospitality! We will be back.

• Jacob (9/5): - Very nice facilities for staying in Koh Lanta. The beach is within walking distance, and a great place to relax. During low water it is pretty rocky, with high water it is a great place for fish and thus for snorkeling! You can use the pool close by, and there is also good breakfast. The rooms are basic with everything you need for your stay, fridge, airconditioning, shower. The area is closed off and feels safe. In the area there is a variety of restaurants and some agencies who can arrange outings, like snorkeling trips or taxis for you.

• Oscar (9/5): Highly recommend. Great value for money! - Amazing room and great location!! Made our Koh Lanta experience!!! Unbeatable value for money, the room is a lovely bungalow. The restaurant isn’t the best and the sea in front of the resort is very rocky. But only a 5 minute moped to amazing beaches. They also don’t clean the room during your stay.
• Bjoern (10/5): - Small cozy place with a good location in Lanta. Owner seem to lack a bit of routines, but they try as good as they can. If something is missing and you tell them, they try to fix as fast as possible. Also, remind them if you want cleaning, seems like they do it only when you ask for it. I would definitely come back and support them. Bed and AC is good.
• Holly (8/5): Great location - Lovely staff. Manicured gardens around the property. 2 pools. Massage available at the side by beach/ main pool. The family room(2 beds/2 couches) is nice and we enjoyed an upgrade to this room due to a lost booking through bookings.com. The 3rd night we got the room we booked a double bed and single bed and that gave us a place to put luggage. All have little porches with chairs/table. Beautiful deck and above average food at restaurant just a quick walk to watch the sunset. We would have liked a reading lamp by the bed. Not provided in all rooms. Also a bedside table on both sides of the bed. Basic room with double bed has very little room and no place to leave an open suitcase. Could use a table for that.
• Marie (8/5): Very good - Nice place, nice staff, décoration and private terrace, The laundry did not smell very good after cleaning. It smelled like an old washing machine or poorly dried clothes. Nothing terrible, though.

Toilet was very clean and bright.Easy access and eatries less than 100m away. 7/11 right at the entrance. However the resort management unable to locate. There is no body at the front desk and if there is any issue, do not know who to contact. Cleaniness wise, there are cats roaming and shit outsite the bungalows. This is not clean and create foul smells esp in the morn. Swiming pool is shared with other resorts. Will be good this is stated in the website.

• Nicolas (4/5): Overbooking: the guest is the variable of adjustment. - The room was booked and paid for 4 nights. However, when I arrived, the room had been given to someone else. I was offered to stay in another room (which was not as good as the one I booked) for 2 nights, prior to moving to my room for 2 nights. Alternatively, I was offered to pay additional fee for an upgraded room.
• David (8/5): Very good - 2 min walk to beach and pool with restaurants and bars. Also almost direkt opposite a great place for breakfast or to eat.
• Natascha (1/5): HORRIBLE! PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! - Nothing Horrible hotel, we could not stay there. The water did not work, so no shower / toilet and there were disgusting yellow stains on the bed sheets. We also requested 2 rooms next to each other (because we have 2 kids) but got two rooms furthest apart. When we complaint the only response we got is that we would not get a refund. We left anyway.

• Cat (8/5): Very good - The place is clean with everything you need and very close to the beach. The beds are good. The staff were helpful. It’s a strange little place tucked behind a couple of resorts. It’s nice because you can use the pools feels a bit separate. When I was there there was a lot of construction going on.

• Ágata (7/5): Good - The room was ok for the price, I booked a day before and it was with a good discount. 7/11 just a min walk and the beach just 2 min walk as well. Staff was helpful to fix the problem when I reporter it which is good. But the room meeds some renovation. A/C was not working properly. It was leaking, so I had to change the room, where the new one I couldn't adjust the temperature.

• Holly (3/5): No availability - NA We arrived at this hotel to find there were no rooms available despite receiving confirmation of the booking days earlier. After a long day of travel, we had to walk to a “sister” hotel where we we had to pay more as the only room available was larger than the one we booked. We showed the hotel staff our confirmation email but were told there was no other option than the larger more expensive room at another resort.

• Alexia (10/5): Such a lovely stay - - good location, - near the swimming pool of the main resort - near the beach, direct access from the restaurant - good breakfast - clean and tidy room - comfortable accommodation We enjoyed so much the quiet, calm, everything we need around - for most activities, they come to pick you up at the entrance - seven eleven at 3 minutes - nice restaurants around, homemade or/and fresh

• James (8/5): Very good - Great location and value. A/C didn’t work well but there was also a fan. It was difficult to cool the room down and there were bright lights on each side of our room. The staff tried to reduce the light but the black out curtains move all over because of the fan. Either you get a cool-ish room or bright light in your eyes.

• Nurhana (8/5): Cute place accompanied by Mangkut the cute cat that’s hide in your pillowcase! - Popular Lanta is closed due for low season, so they placed us in their other hotel called Lanta New Beach. And it was amazing. Very close to the beach and have swimming pool. The staff are so friendly. You can also booked cheap motorbike too and it’s cheap. We rented 2 bikes for 3 days for 800 baht. Bare in mind this is low season in August. Nothing really.

• Jen (8/5): Very good - We booked for an initial 6 days & ended up staying 12. Great place to stay, room was a bit small but fine & bed was big. If you can get a room at Lanta new beach instead of popular they are bigger. Easy to book tours & rent a scooter from reception. 2x pools, one right on the beach with access to the beach & a bar/resto - absolute selling point of this place for us. Also 7-11 right on the end of the road, so many restaurants nearby. Just be careful of your things outside as we had our motorbike phone holder stolen… we raised it with the owner and he managed to get it back for us and said it was from a guy on drugs who lived on the road….bit odd so just be careful.

• Sandra (2/5): Unclean and unpleasant, ended up leaving early. - There is aircon which is nice. Sheets had blood stains on them, towels were also stained with big unpleasant brown markings. Walls and entire place in general were just dirty. Most uncomfortable sleep we've had all our holiday. Not to mention mosquitoes in the room (presumably coming in through the literal gap under the front door??!) Beach down the road is so rocky you cannot swim in the sea but must take taxi to long beach or rent scooter. Beautiful Beach is at walkable distance but nowhere near as nice as Long Beach. Much nicer options found for only little more money.

• Noah (8/5): perfect place to stay in Koh Lanta for a good price, everytging you need very close. - right by the beach with good places to eat and a 711 very close. good value for money there was a noise that we kept hearing, pretty sure it was from a water tank near our place. sink didn’t have much water pressure

By the beach. 7/11 store close Staff tried to give us room with no aircon and wanted us to pay more to upgrade room, although had booked room with aircon on booking.com, was eventually sorted but took some time. Frogs appeared in my friends room (through drain maybe?) so be prepared for some wildlife. Rooms not fully clean.
