Guest Reviews
- Vishnu (8/5): - It’s well located right in the heart of thimpu
- Salil (9/5): Decent hotel with large rooms in a convenient part of town. - The size of the rooms and attention to details House keeping and other hotel staff travel in groups in lifts and do not make way for guests! First time I have seen it in any hotel.

- Vishal (10/5): -
- Aiswarya (10/5): Excellent property - The rooms very spacious, comfortable. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Food was also good. Location of the hotel was great. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days at the hotel. Nothing much. However a bathtub would have been welcome
- Geoffrey George (9/5): - Very comfortable accommodation. Restaurant good food. Extremely clean. Huge balcony
- Ebenezer650 (9/5): - Duże pokoje, czysto, dobra lokalizacja - centrum miasta, blisko do lokalnego bazaru. Przeciętne śniadania.

- Malika (8/5): Central location, spacious rooms - Central location, spacious rooms. Helpful head staff Mr Tshewang. Rooms are a bit dated. Better breakfast selection.
- Krishnan (9/5): - It was very good The dinner on the first night was not upto the mark. All other meals we had were good.
- Guillaume (9/5): Great place for independent travellers - Staff were very respectful, location was good to know the city independently, outside terrace has nice views, the room was very big, shower was very good, it was easy to book (opposed to many other hotels in Bhutan) for independent travellers Although the place seemed new, there were some minor annoyances (one curtain not closing adequately/broken)
- Mikiko (8/5): - Helpful staff, nice big room, convenient location Internet and plug connection a little unstable
- Shahidul (8/5): -
- Fatima (9/5): I would stay again - Spacious clean rooms, great staff and location
- Aranyak (9/5): - Great hotel and food

- Aki (1/5): I have been to 70 countries and this is the worst experience. I slept at the hotel office sofa!! - there is no much good point of this hotel. People are not detailed. We booked 4 nights apartments, and one night delux room before the flight. from the review from booking.com, we were awared that there are some construction sites. When we booked, we request our room to be far from the construction and they replied to confirm. The free cancellation fee is up til 2 weeks before the arrival. They then start telling me that the apartment room is right next to the contstruction. I wanted to cancel it and they told me to cancel for free even though the free cancellation is expired. They insisted it is okay, they lie like that. Then we supposed to get the delux room and calculate the differences, but they took us to the apartment room. I was surprised because it was THE construction room, and more over, it was an abandoned room with full of dust on the ground. I cleaned the room for 1 hour(big room, it is clean as I cleaned). At first night, it was ok then second night, the construction machine made noises at 11:30PM and 4AM (Indian workers work over night in Thimphu now days. It is rush time and they dont have any rule). 3rd night, guard and receptionist and I went to constuctuion site at mid night and 1am to stop (its illegal) then I ended up sleeping at their office next to reception at 4am. They apologized to me and gave me 2 nights refund and then, for one night before the flight is canclled with mutual agreement. However, they didnt tell booking.com therefore booking.com is asking me now what happend because they need to charge the service fee but they are not notified it is the customer fault or hotel fault. This hotel is bad for not only customers but for booking.com. Booking.com should receive full service fee for the night too.

- Ivan (8/5): - The location, the room was huge, very friendly staff. In late october the room was very very cold at night
- Aviv (9/5): Highly recommended! - The hotel look much better than the pictures!! The food and staff was amazing. Definitely recommended. There was a bit of a machine noise in the room at the morning hours not sure what it was. But it was very small and the stay was amazing!
- Yasir Mohammed Farooque (8/5): -
- KRUTIKA (10/5): - Value for money, excellent food .....perfect location Heavy construction activities going right next to the hotel.....can be disturbing during the day,but can sleep after 8 pm......
- SuKIM (8/5): - This hotel has friendly staff and clean rooms. The breakfast is also excellent.
- Chong (7/5): - Location Breakfast options limited
Gym was bare. Toilet facilities lacking. No towels
- Nicolas (10/5): Excellent, both for tourism and work - The hotel is very well located in the center of the heart of the city, at a walkable distance to any point around. The staff are very nice and helpful, for example, when I wanted a taxi, or an extension, they were ready to help me. Overall was an excellent, experience. At best the improvement can take place in the breakfast and dinner menu. The breakfast was ok, but it was missing several varieties. Also for dinner, there were some options in the menu, like burger, or pasta that were not available during all the week I stayed there.
- Nicolas (10/5): A really good place - The place was so good that I extended my stay an extra day. Again, absolutely worthy to go there and visit, and the thing I enjoyed the most, I like to get out and walk around the hotel, short walks and already in the best places. Nothing beyond what I mentioned in previous post. All is good. Maybe the only recommendation is on the menu. The rest is quite worthy, highly recommended.

- AMG MAHMUD (9/5): I would prefer stay here during next visits! - Location is very good, near to city centre with beautiful mountain view all around; breakfast was good with caring service by the staff. The room is adequately furnished; would be better with a small refrigerator!
- Fenella (9/5): - Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff very friendly It would have been nice to have a fridge
- Arunkumaar (9/5): Superb -
- Joy (9/5): Superb -
- Kabir (9/5): Superb - Large room, bright (double window) and very clean. Staff in the front desk and restaurant are very supportive Except one girl (I didn't ask her name - would be good to mention) the receptionists cannot provide enough information or arrange support for the guest
- Swtmit (7/5): Good - Staffs are good. Literally took efforts in helping out.
Location was good. Room size is excellent. Ac issues, which was not working. No fan in the room. Balcony was big, with no privacy at all.
- Aadarsh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sujay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarmistha (8/5): Excellent stay within Thimphu city - Nice property, helpful staff, excellent food, we enjoyed our stay. The room could have been more fresh smelling, there was a slight damp smell in the room.
- Pratik (10/5): Exceptional - The room was well facilitated and clean and spacious. In a price of 7k they did not even offer breakfast.
- Sudhir (10/5): Exceptional - Location close to city centre yet quiet.
Huge sized room
Attentive, warm staff
- Atyasha (10/5): Wonderful hotel within walking distance of farmers market - The room was very spacious and comfortable. The hospitality of the staff was excellent. The hotel is located within walking distance from the farmers market and other restaurants in the city. Very clean and well kept. The drain in the shower area was slow to remove water.
- Rashmi (8/5): - Was a decent hotel. Located centrally.
- M (9/5): Great Staycation Experience ever - 1. Great Location
2. Great Staff Behaviour
3. Room with adequate space and amenities
- Nur (9/5): Superb -
- Kaoru (8/5): - 2月末宿泊 清潔で広い部屋には電気ストーブが一つあり寒さをしのぐ。隣が建設現場なのか 真夜中に大きな工事音で寝苦しい。この音が無ければまた泊まりたい
- Kishan (10/5): - The hospitality of the staff was beyond expectations and reproach. Their willingness to accommodate requests was at a level that I have never experienced at other hotels. I felt comfortable and at home.
- Taufiq (6/5): Ok if u are smoker and choose the balcony type - The location was good, balcony for smoker excellent, food was ok I was visiting this during winter season, the room has not heater, the AC does not heat the entire room
- Mohammad (1/5): Disappointing Stay - Needs Major Improvements - The food and restaurant service was good. Our recent stay at this property was far from pleasant. The cleanliness and basic amenities were seriously lacking.
A terrible smell was constantly coming from the kitchen sink and the toilets, making it very uncomfortable to stay in the rooms.
The bedsheets were visibly unclean, which is completely unacceptable.
Heating was another major issue. Only one heater was provided in the main bedroom, leaving the drawing and dining areas cold and uncomfortable during our stay.
Overall, this experience fell short of even basic expectations. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues promptly to improve the guest experience.
- Yasmin (9/5): Fabulous - Huge, clean, quiet and comfortable room with a massive balcony too (if you get a room with a balcony- lower floors only I think). Delightful staff who immediately combined our two single beds to a large bed on request - my mum and I were travelling together but had a room each next to each other. They also organised a driver for us when we checked in to take us to the places we wanted to see - we were travelling by ourselves without a guide so it made a world of difference to have their assistance. Lovely restaurant with yummy food and drinks. A short walk up a little hill to the main strip where the market stalls stretching a kilometre are in the middle of two roads. The market stalls are a must! We found some beautiful and affordable treasures and gifts as opposed to Paro where everything in the shops were sooooo expensive.
- Tirthankar (8/5): Very good - The hotel is located at the center and rooms are well maintained. We enjoyed our stay .
- Suzanne (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel which was centrally situated within walking distance to the local market - The hotel was very modern and the rooms were huge with an enormous balcony, chairs and comfy bed. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were very welcoming and extremely helpful in organising a half day tour for us and transfers to Paro. We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was lovely including the restaurant but the rooms were a bit sterile and lacking in character. I could have been anywhere in the world. Some local handcrafts and artwork on the walls would make a huge difference.
- Shaun (6/5): Affordable and central - Location in central Thimpu. A new hotel with a modern, clean feel.
- Robert (6/5): A place with potential - Ostensibly, the hotel is in a beautiful building in the heart of Thimphu. Arriving here gave me a good first impression, and a sense of relief after landing in this mysterious country. Unfortunately, the experience of staying at the hotel did not match the expectation that the building set. This actually started before I landed: Staff were initially proactive in arranging a transfer from the airport; they went dark a week before I arrived and only responded, finally, less than 48 hours out.
Staff also waffled back and forth on whether I could use a credit card to pay for said transfer (they told me, in writing, that I could; they then insisted in person they'd never said it). They failed to charge me for my morning coffee (only nasty instant "coffee" is provided for free) and came out literally in the moment that I was about to leave to try and take payment for it.
The breakfast buffet is not good, with mostly mushy vegetables and strange-tasting "sausage" on the buffet spread. Whatever "milk" they have for the cereal has a strong, pungent taste; it definitely didn't come from a cow. Bhutanese food in general is not my favorite, but what the hotel offers is worse than average.
Finally—and this is not the hotel's fault—but it's located in a pretty busy neighborhood, with lots of noise throughout the night. Both nights I slept here, in fact, dogs were barking loudly all the way until morning. I'm honestly shocked that no locals came out to quiet them down.
- Jennifer (10/5): Excellent - Location. Just a couple of minutes walk to the fruit/veg market and to the centre. We also walked along the river to the football ground and archery. Both a MUST!
Staff very good. Our room was large with a good, modern bathroom. Good hot shower. Comfortable bed and pillows! Breakfast was ok but not very hot. The heated dishes for the buffet could be turned up a bit to keep food warmer
- Wojciech (10/5): Exceptional - It is a beautiful hotel in the centre of the city. It has a nice view, friendly staff, excellent accommodation, and a very good breakfast.
The room is huge and has all the necessary facilities. Recommended
- Garima (8/5): Comfortable stay, very nice location and a great hotel - Excellent property and very courteous staff Nothing in particular
- Hakeem-ur-rehman (9/5): Superb -
- Muhammad (9/5): Superb -
- Jitender (7/5): Average to good - Nothing much Average hospitality
- Jaspreet (8/5): Comfortable stay - Spacious rooms with balcony.Central location close to market and eateries. Not for those who prefer a scenic surrounding.Options of both indoor and outdoor dining.Elevator is a big plus. Food layout was limited and not well cooked.
- Vitalii (7/5): Good -
- Ramy (8/5): Very good -
- Jihun (9/5): overall good - The breakfast was simple, nothing much
It was very close to downtown, and the room was very spacy and the staffs were friendly.
The hot water was working. The overall experience was actually really good. Everything was good except the absence of Airconditioning.
Bhutan is not a tropical country yet in the summer it does get little hot.
The place was spacy but there was no air conditioner(cooler) in my room
- Jihun (10/5): overall good - The location was very good, near to downtown and the farmer's market
and the staff was friendly too.
The room conditions were great and very spacy.
I will consider staying at the accomodation once again. There was no A/C in my room, yet there were A/Cs in my colleagues room.
Yet the temperature in Bhutan is rather cool and bright, so there seems to be not needing the A/C
The breakfast was okay, but with only a little selection
- José (9/5): Superb -
- Mario (9/5): Superb - Room Spacious, bed very comfortable, staff very friendly. I ordered burger but was not available, mobile charger not available, the iron board was old
- Yrika (9/5): The hotel staff are very accommodating, friendly and hospitable. - Location, accessibility, comfort and value for money
- Shona (7/5): Good -
- Aditi (6/5): Centrally located hotel but overpriced as per the services offered - Its centrally located It’s overpriced! Not worth the price
- Kamal (10/5): Family vacation trip - The location of the hotel is excellent. The fruit and vegetable market was at a 5 minute walk. All the support staff were courteous and efficient. Cleaning is excellent. The facilities were also excellent. We enjoyed it a lot. Nothing in particular.
- Jagtar (9/5): Superb - New property
Very clean No ventilation in the room
Fan must be provided at least
- Elchin (6/5): Satisfactory - Proximity to the city center
Nice shops around
Staff Breakfast was poor. It wasn't continental, they served you the same stuff every morning.
Instant coffee.
Acute cigarette smell in the room.
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Room was huge, lovely shower, very comfortable Minnie construction noise across the road
- Thomas (10/5): Fantastic hotel in great location - The hotel is very well maintained
Very comfy bed and shower with great water pressure
Great Bar Nothing to mention
- Diwakar (8/5): Good and enjoyable - Ambiance and locality The Internet signal was very weak. Food can be better
- Saswat (8/5): Very good - Staff and breakfast Poor room amenities
- Saswat (7/5): Good - Excellent location and staff members. Good breakfast. No AC in the room, low amenities in the toilet ( no tooth paste or shoe shine available)
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - Location and room size None
- Arun (5/5): Not so great an experience - Located in prime location with easy accessibility to everywhere. Large spacious and naturally well lit rooms 1) Overpriced for the facilities they provide. For a 3 star, they don't even have a fan/ac/refrigerator in the room.
2) with no ventilation, one is forced to open the large unsafe windows which open on noisy streets.
3) Management seems to be pretty stingy in providing soaps and toiletries. For a twin bedroom, they provide just one small piece of soap, one shower cap and so on
4) Staff is pretty much lackadaisical in providing service
5) when we reached the hotel, there was no water in the taps!!
- Yuko (9/5): Very friendly staffs - Rooms are large and spacious. Staff very helpful and attentive to requests. Poor drainage flow in shower room. Every time it was used, the water pooled up and it looked like a pond.
- Krishna (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay here. Close to the riverside walk, and markets. There is also a nice small monastery opposite the hotel. The staff is so friendly, and the food is wonderful.
- Mimzah (8/5): Good for a short stay near the city center - Nice breakfast spread - really liked the coffee too. The room is very spacious, and has a room heater. Facilities and amenities were very good. Location is also walking distance from the main Thimpu area. The bathroom always had a bad smell. They provided air fresheners and scented candles, but it never went away completely.
- Amisha (8/5): - Our room was HUGE and came with a kitchen (including a fridge and microwave) which was a wonderful surprise! It also had a great view. The only problem was, it was cold in the room with no way to adjust the temperature. We called the front desk for help and they weren't able to adjust it either, so they were kind enough to bring a large space heater. It was a good solution till we moved the space heater from the living room to the bedroom, which caused the power to shut down for the whole room. But the staff were quick to help, and they got the power back on shortly. One other thing to be aware of, which is not the hotel's fault, was that it was very loud outside...lots of loud partying just across the street...like a club or rave, even though it was a Sunday night. And when we were trying to fall asleep, there were loud catfight noises that lasted around an hour. We later learned this was common. Again, not the hotel's fault of course, but if you're looking for peace and quiet, you may not find it here. But the enormous size of the room and kind staff made up for it.
- Anouar (7/5): Good -
- Mary (10/5): Excellent stay - This hotel is perfectly located. It offers great facilities, modern equipment and comfortable rooms. We had a great stay there. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. A la carte breakfast offered a great choice of local and international options. It was yummy. We strongly recommend this hotel. Nothing
- Harjasdeep (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): Very comfortable stay - Location of the hotel is perfect. Right in the center. We liked this hotel. The room was spacious, the facilities modern and the bed very comfortable. It was quiet. Breakfast was a la carte with a great choice and good. Nothing

DInner was oookkk..... please do not have paneer mutter masala...
