• Alexander (10/5): - A nice small hotel within minutes from the Kremlin. Very nice stuff. There were some minor problems with shower drain and soundproofing could have been better, but that's pretty normal for these hotels anyway. Will stay again.

Из всех вариантов выбрал этот отель потому что: 1. Дешевле всего 2. Очень близко к площади. Рекомендовал бы этот отель тем кто ищет ночлег на одну ночь, отсидеть пересадку, быстрый обзор красной площади. В номере есть все для отдыха, чисто, соседей не слышно, телевизор, wi-fi. Единственное что может Вас оттолкнуть это отсутствуе окон, это в самом дешевом номере
• EVGENIY (8/5): - Недорогая гостиница в самом центре Москвы. До Кремля 10 минут пешком. Номер небольшой, но есть всё необходимое. Я останавливался зимой, и было очень тепло, даже пришлось спать с открытым окном. Завтрак без изысков, но вполне сытный.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - I've stayed here before. Having experienced many stays here I've seen since changes that have taken place. They use to offer water bottles which they don't anymore. Instead they have water machines where you can drink from or fill your bottle. They use to give slippers but not anymore. Shampoo bottles and body wash were provided but now they come in plastic pouches. So besides these changes what remains the same is the friendly staff, good breakfast variety, and is situated right next to the Red Square. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. Unlike last time, the TV connection did not fail this time and is a decent size. Don't expect luxury, expect the basics and a great place next to the Red Square. Overall it's a good place to stay for a few days.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - The location is great. Good value for the money. Good helpful accommodating staff. Good breakfast. Since it is an old historical building, the aeration system is not as efficient as the new buildings. During our stay, we could open the window, but in summer it may not be a feasible option.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - This hotel is very reasonably priced, in fact quite cheap considering the location is so good. It's very near the Kremlin and Red Square which are within easy walking distance. The nearest Metro station is about 10 minutes' walk away. Our room was cheap, but had no windows! But we soon got used to our "dungeon" and it was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast available at a small cost.
• Timothy (8/5): Troyka Hotel Moscow. - Clean, tidy and functional. The room had no window and was quite compact. No major drama but the air con needed to be on which meant the atmosphere was very dry. Not too bad as I spent very little time in the room.

• Gerald (10/5): Book it now!! - Absolutely worth every penny to get the business double room with Landmark View. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great view of Red Square and the Kremlin. Maria at the front desk allowed us to check in early and even printed off our train tickets for us free of charge and with a smile. The service was fantastic by the entire staff and English was enough for all of our needs. Literally a short walk across a bridge places you right in the heart of Red Square. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay while I’m Moscow.
• Aaron (8/5): Great location in the heart of it - The hotel is in a fabulous location in Moscow, only a short walk over the bridge to Red Square. However, the rooms are definitely basic, and compact. If this is an issue for you? There may be problems. If however you just want a base in the thick of it all? I’d recommend!

• Dude (10/5): - I've stayed twice at this hotel as it is centrally located within walking distance of the Red Square, GUM, and other attractions. The hotel is very clean, the staff is super friendly, and all of them speak English. The TV signal sometimes didn't come through but I didn't go there to watch TV. They stopped providing water bottles however they do have water machines around the floors to fill up your water bottle. The breakfast is really good and there is a good variety each day. Overall, this is a really good hotel to spend some days at.

• Mr.A (6/5): OK Experience - it was an ok experience. Nicely situated approximately a kilometer from the Kremlin. The hotel was comfortable but the reception staff cold and clearly not use to foreign guests. The staff assisted where they could. I would stay at the hotel again because the location was great.
• Lizette (4/5): Not recommended, rude staff - The hotel location is good. The hotel is clean and newly renovated. The staff were unfriendly and not helpful. I wanted to book a late check out and was prepared to pay for a full night, I was told that the hotel was full, when I checked on hotels. com I found that there was availability and I booked online, only then did staff agree to assist in extending my stay. The room was very small and overlooked a court yard that was very noisy. No privacy as the curtains did not cover the window in full. I would not recommend this hotel.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Extremely well located property right next to the Kremlin and some of the major sights. The property it self is clean, but the rooms are super tiny. The shower/toilet area was actually almost the same size as the bedroom area. If not having many expectations, this hotel will be a great base of operations when exploring Moscow.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is located within walking distance of Kremlin. The staff is super friendly and the hotel is really clean. They speak great English and had no problem communicating with them. The breakfast was also good, it was a good variety of food each morning. I would definitely stay there again.
• Sandy (8/5): Ideal location, nice three-star, w/five-star price - Granted, we were in Moscow during (but not for) the World Cup, so prices everywhere were high. Be prepared for a no-frills lobby and a long walk to the better rooms. This renovated old building has its charms -- brick arches, large windows. The toiletries and accoutrements (safe, microwave, fridge, even slippers) were a cut above three-star. Included in the price, the breakfast buffet was tasty and varied. The front desk will call a cab for you and negotiate the price (very important). An excellent Georgian restaurant Sanapiro, is just around the corner. All that said, it took us a day to get the wifi set up and gt a phone installed -- and the phone never did work.
• Jorge (6/5): Very good location but... - Close to Red Square. Do not book a Standard room. Too small, no air conditioning and very noisy at night. We had to sleep with windows open and could not fall asleep due to noise. The garbage trucks woke us up at 6 am most days! The Business rooms were better but very expensive.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent Location - Only a 10 minute walk to St. Basil's and Red Square. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and clean and the breakfast is excellent. Also, they stock a bottled cherry juice in their fridge in the lobby that is the best juice I've ever tasted. I drank a couple every day.
• Jf2mad (10/5): - Exceptional people, fantastic location, clean and comfortable. Small room, but that is normal for the area and especially for such a great rate. I hope to stay with them the next time I go to Moscow. If you are going to Moscow, do not go with an American outlook on convenience and scale. The architecture is old and beautiful and, on the outside, massive and imposing., But room size in most hotels and apartments is tiny. This is just how it is. Once you become comfortable with that, everything else is fantastic. And the people are wonderful in any language. As is true everywhere, there are less wonderful people, but they are the exception, not the rule. Everyone at the Troyka was exceptional. I honestly think that they added to my desire to return to Moscow. As if I needed ANOTHER reason to want to revisit this incredible city.

Location could not be better, less than 10 min walk to St Basils Cathedral and Red Square and both are in view the entire walk just across the river.
• Michelle (10/5): Great position - Only a 10/15 minute walk to Red Square this hotel is amazing for the price. Rooms are small but warm, clean and comfortable. Great selection of breakfast both hot and cold.

Breakfast was adequate, although the one serving staff member was rushed off her feet trying to replenish the food, clear the tables and attend to the temperamental coffee machine. The hotel was in a great spot for sightseeing. Just a short walk - around the corner and across the bridge - to St Basil's Cathedral, Red Square and the Kremlin. There were few bars and restaurants nearby but this wasn't a major issue because we ate mainly on the other side of the river around Red Square.

• E.K. (8/5): Excellent value just steps from the Kremlin - The Troyka's location is among the best in Moscow. The hotel is in an old building that has been modernized, and it is comfortable if rather basic. Every room is different. The staff was helpful, and most knew at least enough English to answer our questions; they helped us make airport arrangements and gave restaurant recommendations cheerfully. This was valuable, as English proficiency in Moscow is not something that a traveler should take for granted. The breakfast was fine, though choices varied from day to day. And nothing could beat walking out the door and seeing St. Basil's and the Kremlin's towers, five minutes' walk from the hotel.
• MJ (6/5): Simple, clean rooms. Wonderful location. - We enjoyed our four night stay at the Troyka Hotel. The location is convenient to Red Square. It is also a short walk from many restaurants. There is a good breakfast with many choices to start the day.

Hotel Troyka was perfect for me - an easy walk across the bridge to the main tourist sites, friendly English speaking staff, clean and comfortable. I will stay here again and highly recommend to anyone visiting Moscow.

• Lavrenty (8/5): very clean - I booked this hotel to visit some of the holy places of sacred Russia. The hotel was clearly renovated in recent years, and its clean, minimalist decor seemed to compliment the old world architecture of the building. The rooms were impeccably clean with modern bath fixtures and conveniences like a hot water kettle and mini fridge. The beds were simple but comfortable. The location is excellent with a short 15-20 minute walk to Red Square. I'm a frequent traveller to Eastern Europe and for the price and location, this is really quite a deal.
