Guest Reviews
- Cerys (8/5): Lots of character and great location - The property had lots of character, history and great facilities, amazing views ! Secure, location was perfect for what we needed. Fabrizio and Stefano were so helpful too. Nothing was too much !
- sarah (10/5): We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and Stefano was a wonderful host. Nothing was too much trouble and had a gr - Beautifully presented with an authentic historic Italian feel to the place. It is at the top of a hill but great to walk off the evening meal and wine! Good view from the roof top.
- Daniele (10/5): - Excellent location quiet and nicely appointed rooms. Exceptional service by the brothers too
- Maureen (10/5): Our stay was absolutely delightful. Our hosts genuinely gracious. The home magnificent. - My daughter and I had to change our arrival time numerous times due to transport etc... Stephan was more than accommodating to our delays. We were overwhelmed with his kindness, generosity and expertise. I HIGHLY recommend staying at this magnificent home. Nothing could have been better. I cannot find fault with a single thing.

- Claire (10/5): Beautiful property full of character in an amazing location with welcoming hosts. - Great location, on a calm street and just 10 minutes walk from all the restaurants in Trastevere. Fabrizio and Stefano were really welcoming and helpful. They made everything feel really easy throughout our stay. The bedroom and villa were beautiful, clean, spacious and comfortable and we had access to the roof terrace to enjoy a view of the city at sunset.
Tutto bene
- Debbie Roos (10/5): - Dear Stefano,
We would like to warmly thank you for the wonderful stay in your beautiful family hotel. We truly had an amazing time and felt so welcome from the very first moment.
Your warm hospitality and the way you shared the history of the house with such passion and care made our stay extra special. It really felt like visiting family rather than staying in a hotel.
The location is fantastic: we felt very safe leaving our car, with plenty of parking available in the street. Just below the accommodation is a beautiful monument that is absolutely worth visiting. From there, you can easily walk down the steps into the lively heart of Trastevere in Rome – with its vibrant atmosphere, nightlife, and endless places to explore. We honestly didn’t know where to start… everything was simply wonderful.
The breakfast was excellent, especially for the price.
We also want to thank you for your help during our stay. You went above and beyond by assisting us with everything we needed to celebrate a birthday, even when my sister joined us for two days. That meant a lot to us.
- Birgit (10/5): - Etwas Besonderes - Sehr zu Empfehlen
- Merih (9/5): -

- SHANNON (10/5): Stefano and Fabrizio have created a slice of Roman heaven. - Beautiful, clean, with thoughtful touch after thoughtful touch. Stefano and Fabrizio love this property and it shows.
- Claire (8/5): Very friendly host in a house full of old world charm - Our host was so welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was very limited.
- Afonso (10/5): Amazing stay in Rome! - Domus Mani was a beautiful place to stay in Rome -- I really loved the architecture and the history of the building. The room was very comfortable, and Fabrizio was a very kind and helpful host!
- Yinfan (8/5): -
- Minos (10/5): - Our 3‑night stay was exceptional, thanks to the warm and attentive hospitality of Stefano & Fabrizio. The room was spotless, comfortable, and clearly maintained with great care. The location was also very convenient, with Trastevere's downtown, Prati, and the Centro Storico all within walking distance. Highly recommended for couples and beyond!
- Andrea (10/5): -
Rien
- James (9/5): Domus Monami made us feel comfortable and at home in a purely residential neighborhood. - For us the location was perfect and our host Stefano was very friendly and helpful.
- Patricia (9/5): Amazing hosts, fantastic rooms and beautiful views. - We loved our hosts Stephano and his brother Fabrizio. They could NOT have been more helpful, delightful and made sure all of our needs were met. Domus Monami is a bit of a distance from the city center - which was a relief after a long day in busy downtown Rome. Being up the hill gave us amazing views and let us experience authentic neighborhoods. (Also, extra bonus points Stephano was our hero when we left our phone in the car on the way to the airport - he was SO amazing and made sure we got it back before our flight left. We cannot wait to come back! Nothing to dislike - just know at the end of a long walking day you might want to take a taxi back up the hill. But the walk down was gorgeous!
- Cristal (10/5): -
- Steven (7/5): Overpriced, but enjoyable. - Good position Furniture on the roof top terrace. Noisy toilet cistern, it kept me awake one night. Stefano fixed the next day.
- A&E Nercessian (9/5): - Nice size apartment. Comfortable.
- Lars-Henning (10/5): -
- Joseph (10/5): - Good restaurants 10-15 minutes walking distance. Parks, laundry and grocery as well. Quiet street with a church and fountain a few minutes away. Great view overlooking Rome. The hotel sits on the top most hill. It's steep and a workout to walk for some. Rides were easily available.
- Pierre (8/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - This was the most perfect stay in Rome! Safe, quiet, clean , AND accessible to EVERTHING ! Beautiful . Friendly . Helpful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and we will !! Thank you
- John (10/5): The perfect experience - So beautiful The staff was so accommodating and so friendly and helpful
- Essack (10/5): Luxury at its best - Upmarket luxury suite in high end neighbourhood of Rome Nothing. You cannot find better if you tried. Superhelpfull and attentive to guest needs
- Draiven (10/5): - The staff and owner are absolutely amazing. Very nice people with great recommendations and helpful with anything you need. I am highly satisfied with my stay and hope I am able to come back one day.
- Ricardo (10/5): Rick Review - Stefano and Fabrizio provided excellent service and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay!
- Matt (10/5): Fantastic property, lovely hosts, ideal location. - Beautiful property in a peaceful location but only a short walk from all the sights. The guys that run it were so helpful, friendly and welcoming. Nothing
- Sarah (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay! Many thanks! I hope to return and stay again someday.
- Robert (10/5): - Property Manager/Owner Stefano was the most hospitable, helpful, and nicest person! He was the best! We highly recommend this hotel and the views were spectacular !!!! A+, thank you for our wonderful stay !
- Robyn (10/5): - Wonderful! Great neightborhood and location, beautiful and clean house, friendly n resposive staff. Would stay again.
- David (8/5): Beautiful hilltop stay in Trastavere - Fantastic place to stay in Trastavere! Beautiful views of Rome, historic charm, and access to all that Trastavere has to offer.
- Sarah (10/5): - Staff was super helpful
Great location !
- Jean (9/5): The hotel was beautifully situated in a safe area near lovely restaurants with breathtaking views of the city. - It was historic and beautiful. The owners were very helpful and took good care of their clients.
- Susan Helen (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at this property. The owners were helpful, the room was comfortable, the breakfast was great. The location is stunning ( if very hilly!). Beautiful roof terrace giving stunning views over Rome.
- Richard (10/5): - Amazing property! The double doors in our room that opened up to the sound of birds and nature made our stay feel like a tropical getaway in the hills of Trastevere. The breakfast area really completed the 100 year old villa feeling that we were looking for in our first trip to Rome. Our hosts were incredibly gracious and accommodating, plus this property is walking distance to the best views of the Roman skyline! Highly highly recommend staying here if you’re looking to be just outside the busy tourist areas but close enough to walk to great restaurants and entertainment. Will definitely be back again!
- Alan (10/5): - we had a great time at. your place . we loved the cozy feeling, personal attention and the location .
I would recommend to all!
- Leah (10/5): Our stay was wonderful.Stefano and Fabrizio were warms hosts and very responsive. The villa is in a perfect location in - The villa is beautiful and well preserved. Very comfortable accommodations in a perfecto location. We loved everything!
- Ken (10/5): - This property was a great choice for us as this was our first trip to Italy. Beautiful area with an amazing rooftop that we didn't even know about. Walked from here and saw a lot of the Rome sites and so close to Travestere Would recommend not only to other travellers but to friends and family as well. Stefani Monami (Domis Monami Luxury Suites) was such a great host I would recommend just based on our experience with him.
- Christine (10/5): - Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location close to Trastevere, dining, shopping, etc. we had a wonderful time.
- Andrew (10/5): Loved it - It was comfortable and quirky. The host Stefano was incredibly helpful and likeable. The roof terrace gave a great view of Rome. The location enabled options for going out in both upper and lower Trestevare. It was walkable distance to locations such as the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Ironically it would just be walking back from the City Centre, which we liked to do, there was quite a climb in the final km or so.
- Grayson (10/5): - Charming rooms and amazing location! Cappuccinos and a delicious breakfast box every morning.
- Florence (9/5): Love , love, love the place! 🫶 - I like the suites personnels , Stefano and Fabrizio. Super accommodating, hospitable, and helpful. I like how they have taxi services with fixed price from and to the airport. Very convenient. I like the location. I felt safe, and it is very laid back and chill town and, of course, near Rome. The town itself is lovely to explore. I love that they clean our room every day. The room is very nice. Love it. Highly recommended this Suites.
- Shawn (10/5): - Stefano, and to some degree Stefano’s brother Fabrizio, were very accommodating, helpful, informative and welcoming. From the time we arrived, Stefano gave us ideas on what to see and do in Rome. Stefano also arranged a taxi from the airport to the property. Two buses, #870 and #115, were a block away and gave us all the access to Rome that we needed. We would stay here again in a heartbeat
- Minna (9/5): Beautiful property and an ideal location to enjoy the more peaceful and quiet corner of Rome❤️ - Fabulous property with beautiful furniture, full of character and detail. Very friendly hosts (brothers) who run the place and gave us a lot of useful advice about local restaurants and transport. Nice modern bathroom and super-comfortable bed!
Our only criticism would be about the breakfast, although based on our previous trips to Italy we know that the locals like their breakfast sweet - but we some little add ons we bought ourselves we truly enjoyed the freshly baked goods every morning.
- Frank E (10/5): - Just perfect. Owner was great. Can’t wait to go back
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (10/5): Wonderful Italian Palazzo located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Friendly and helpful staff. -
- Hallvard (10/5): Exceptional - An extraordinary place in a really nice location in between institutes and embassies right above the old centre of Trastevere. The hosts were friendly, attentive and accommodating beyond what one might reasonably expect. Great Italian breakfast, and access to a large roof terrace with absolutely stunning views.
- Cathy (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful house in a stunning location in Rome. Warm and helpful host. Nothing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): The view and the hosts! - Bed is incredibly comfy, the staff really care and will do whatever they can to help, and the roof terrace is phenomenal. Would absolutely recommend and would go back again. Only down side is there aren’t many bars and shops nearby but the bar by the arch and pizza restaurant next to the park are fantastic.
- Rory (8/5): Very good -
- Luke (9/5): Superb - Nice old Roman villa in high Trastevere. Good location, quiet but very close to all the bars and restaurants of low Trastevere. You'll get good exercise walking back up the hill. Fabrizio is super helpful & accomodating - giving great recommendations for restaurants and everything else.
- Dor (10/5): I will definitely go back! Highly recommended! - A beautiful historic villa overlooking the city. The owners were so nice and kind. The stay was magical. The rooftop was amazing! Great location, a walking distance from the hustle and bustle. The place was very clean, but I felt like the bathtub could have been cleaner...
- Lorna (10/5): - Amazing stay in a very unique and special property. Spectacular view from the rooftop terrace. Be mindful of the very steep walk from the town centre which was not an issue for us but could be problematic for those with mobility issues. Thanks so much 😀
- Stephen (10/5): Perfect stay in Rome - This hotel made our trip. Stefano and Fabrizio were so helpful and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and the area quiet and safe. Trastevere is a great neighborhood and close enough to all the sites you want to see that you can walk. The room was so charming and the highlight was having a glass of wine each night on the rooftop that overlooks all of Rome. Also, our hosts were able to schedule pickups to the airport and train station which made everything so much easier. Thank you again for making our trip perfect!
- Tansahib (10/5): A perfectly tranquil stay in the heart of Rome! - Wow, what a property. Our only problem was staying only one night - we wish we had more time here! Nestled in a beautiful, quiet part of Trastevere but only just a few minutes walk to the buzzy area with great bars and restaurants.
Stefano was super accommodating from start to finish, helping us with transport, luggage and even gave us an amazing tour of the home. We'll definitely be back when we visit Rome! Thanks so much for looking after us Stefano :) None
- Jordan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marion (10/5): - This is an excellent place to stay. Beautiful old world charm. Stefano is so helpful. He helped with booking a car service to pick us up and take us to the airport, make dinner reservations, look up places to buy specific things. Such a gracious host. He made us feel instantly welcome. The rooftop terrace is amazing! A gorgeous view of the city. It is about a 15 minute walk to the heart of Trastevere so it is nice a quiet.
- Jane (10/5): Yum . Would love to visit again - We loved the location and the enthusiasm of the brothers . It was a highlight of our Roma visit .. Loved the prosecco in the fridge which we enjoyed on the amazing roof terrace
- Larry (10/5): Loved the Domus and Stefano was a great host !!! - Loved the location, the property and Stefano was a great host . Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Rome .
- Torun (10/5): Unique vibe! Amazing hosts! - We enjoyed our stay at Domus Monami so much - everything from the area, the view, the fantastic hosts - superb! We felt very welcome. The vibe of this place is totally different from all other places I´ve stayed in Rome. Would absolutely recommend it and would not hesitate to stay there again (and again and again) It's peaceful, upscale, quiet and safe, but just a few steps from the vibrant life in Trastevere. Nothing could have been better! We were 100% happy :) Nothing could have been better! We were 100% happy :) Nothing could have been better! We were 100% happy :)
- Robert (10/5): Speculation Hosts. Spectacular Venue. - Stephanie and Fabrizio were the very best hosts!! Welcoming, helpful, going above and beyond in every respect. We felt so lucky to stay at their former family home in a spectacular neighbourhood, with a roof top terrace overlooking room as the sun set. Loved the walk through statue and tree-lined parks in the morning, and through atmospheric restaurant allies at night. Could not have been happier to have made this place our home-base for Rome!
- Robert (10/5): - Amazing hosts and amazing property, 100% recommended.
- Terence (10/5): Lovely spot in an upmarket area with warm, welcoming hosts - We loved staying at Domus Monamì Luxury Suites. Brothers Stefano and Fabrizio welcomed us warmly, the room was spacious and quiet, and the accommodation is in a lovely part of Rome. Not a problem for us, but Domus Monamì Luxury Suites does sit high up a hill in Trastevere, so you need to be fairly fit to walk to and from the accommodation. (This does mean, however, that it's very quiet and leafy, which is a nice respite from Rome's busyness.)
- Mackenzie (10/5): - We had amazing stay at Domus Monami! Stefano was great as a host and even helped coordinate airport transportation. It’s a great area tucked in between the international embassies and very cute Trastevere neighborhood. The property has a rooftop with beautiful 360 degree views of Rome. Our room had two sets of double doors that look onto the garden, which we got to open up to enjoy an afternoon rainstorm. Would definitely stay here again!
- Lynn (10/5): Marvellous, we felt like we were special guests in the villa. - The apartments were lovely, furnished in traditional Italian furniture. Stefano and Fabrizio are brothers who run the apartments, Stefano explained that the villa used to be the family home, there are a lot of the family heirlooms in the breakfast room, it has a stately home feel to it which we liked.
Stefano set up our phones so that we could access the WiFi and gave us a tour of the building, there is a roof terrace with breathtaking views of Rome, as the villa is on a hill you can see a panoramic view of most of Rome.
The apartments were very clean and fresh smelling.
Any requests we had were sent through WhatsApp to Stefano and he responded straight away.
Stefano organised a driver to collect us from the railway station and to take us to the airport when we left, nothing was too much trouble. The 'Breakfast in a Box' was not to our taste, it consisted of a sweet sugared croissant, tomato/olive bread, sweet bread rolls, could have been Brioche and a tub of fruit. It varied from day to day. We suggested to Stefano that he cancel our breakfast box as it was being wasted, he did cancel and provided us with bread for toast instead which is what we requested.
The villa is at the top of a steep hill but we took an Uber from the restaurant area up to the villa for around 10 Euros.
- Angelina (7/5): Good -
- Kimberlee (10/5): Exceptional - Fabrizio and Stefano were so friendly and added to the charm of these suites! The neighborhood is by far my favorite that I’ve stayed in when in Rome and a quick walk down to busy Trastevere.
The rooftop terrace is a much for evening drinks and snacks!! Would stay again :)
- Ilya (10/5): - Great location. Clean, quiet, walking distance to restaurants and attractions. Staff was great!
- Victor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bobby (9/5): Superb -
- Rossel (10/5): - Great place to stay, I highly recommend. Brothers who run the place are very kind and helpful. It may be worth noting that the hotel is situated on a hill. Everything like shopping, food, museums, etc. are downhill. Be prepared for to climb fairly steep inclines and stairs upon return to the hotel. Also could expand upon rooftop patio furniture, ie no cushions or shade. Nighttime on the terrace is magical but closes at 11. Those things aside, the breakfast is well worth it, they order a variety box just for your room, including a variety of coffees, some cheeses, fruit and cereal. Perfect for fit individuals or couples or people who don’t mind taking a taxi on the regular.
- Tulio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Earl (10/5): We loved it and would highly recommend staying here! - It was so authentic and Fabio was so welcoming and gave us so much information and advice, we loved it! ❤️ Nothing
- Heather (10/5): Lovely place in Trestavare - We loved our stay. The rooms are very unique, the area is perfect, the roof is very cool. The folks who work here really care about the guests and provided lots of helpful information about the area.
- Agnieszka (9/5): Superb - The hotel is located in a nice residential neighbourhood in Upper Trastevere, on a hill from which you get a very nice view of Rome. On top of that, the house has a simple rooftop, from which the view is amazing.
The owners of this family hotel were very friendly and helpful, we felt welcome. Bear in mind that, as the hotel is located on a hill, you have to go downhill (and then climb up!) in order to reach the lower part of Trastevere where all the action is, and the rest of the city. There is a bus that goes up and down but it doesn't run at night. You can also take a taxi, of course, but it's a bit of a hassle.
- Anita (10/5): I’m looking forward to staying here again! - Stefani and Fabrizio were incredibly warm and welcoming. They were very prompt to respond to emails, and helpful with any inquiries we had.
The view from the terrace is spectacular!
- James (10/5): Perfecto! - Fabrizio is amazing! He welcomed us upon arrival, let us know about the B & B, showed us the facility, and gave us a map drawing all the locations of the attractions. The view of Rome from the terrace was amazing!!!
- Corey (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay. The owners are absolutely wonderful people and treated us like family. Their home was our home. They were very thorough and helped us get around to everywhere we needed to go. We would love to come back soon.
- Inns (10/5): Beautiful villa in a quiet area. - Everything was absolutely perfect. The owners are amazing. Beautiful location.

- ken (10/5): - Very quiet area close to many restaurants in trastevere.
- Misty (9/5): Superb - Comfortable room with a nice breakfast. Stefano was very friendly and helpful.
- Cynthia (10/5): - An abolutely beautiful and quaint location. The owners were wonderful!
- Kathy (10/5): Loved the history and the service - Amazing service, very accommodating
- Kathleen (9/5): The property was unique and special. Stephano was extremely helpful and responsive in every way. - The location was in a safe, secure neighborhood. We could walk to the restaurants we wanted to visit. The villa was unique and homelike. Because the property is at the top of a hill, visitors need to be aware if they choose to walk, there are many steps up and down to where most of the restaurants are located.
- Kelly (10/5): - Wonderful and friendly staff! Beautiful decor. Clean room. High ceilings. Parquet wood floors. Windows opened up to garden. Lovely in every way!
- Jamal (10/5): Perfect - An absolutely beautiful hotel and amazing service from both of the hosts.
The roof terrace has arguably one of the best views of the city, overlooking Rome.
It’s also a short walk from gorgeous restaurants where we spent most of our evenings.
Couldn’t recommend this place more, it is excellent.
