Guest Reviews
- OLEG (10/5): Incredible experience! - This is a castle on a hill! Real one. No plywood or 2x4s. Lots of history. Enormous rooms. Enormous bathroom. Phenomenal breakfast. Friendly staff. Parking is limited by the entrance, but plenty below the castle. One downside is that the bathroom is not in the rooms. Not a big deal if you don’t mind putting on a robe (which is included) to go to the bathroom at night.. There are 2 roads getting to it. The upper, longer one and the lower one. It gets pretty scary to use the upper road after a snow storm, but the bottom one is fine. Great restaurants with local food nearby in Lans. Close to downtown and highway.
- Peter (8/5): Interesting stay at the castle - The hotel is located in a 700-year castle. We had a suite of 3 rooms, a sitting room, a dining room and a bedroom. These were very spacious. The castle is on top of a hill overlooking the village of Volkers. Without a car it is difficult to reach the castle, except by taxi. We hired a car to keep our cost down, because very taxi ride was 20 or 40 euros. We had heavy snow on the last day of our stay, which made the road slippery and we could not drive our car up to the castle. We had to leave the car in the village and take a taxi (no doubt with snow tires) up to the gate. From there we had to walk though 30cm of snow up to the front door. The breakfast service was excellent. Furnishings are in period style and a bit creaky.
- Rainer (10/5): Perfektes Wochenende in märchenhafter Atmosphäre - In diesem Schloß zu übernachten, ist ein echtes Erlebnis. Wir haben uns äußerst wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder.
- patricia (10/5): The Royal Treatment done perfectly! - We felt like royalty. Once we figured out a few door key issues, our stay was perfect! The people here are very nice and the rooms are amazing and incredible. You will honestly know you are staying in a castle. My 12 year old daughter felt like a princess! So many wonderful touches and extra service. Beautiful place to hang out, take photos, and relax. The beds were the most comfy I have seen! The location is great to Innsbruck as long as you have a car which we did. I would love to come here again someday and stay a bit longer. One night was just not quite long enough.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is an amazing castle that has only 2 suites.
