- David (8/5): - There’s always a fine line between good and excellent and for a small town this was a good choice. I checked in late but it was no problem. The lady in the office was accommodating and efficient to get me checked in. It’s an older property as most of these small town motels are but I’m keen on supporting locally owned businesses. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. I wouldn’t let it stop me to stay in an older property. We need to support local businesses. I read all the reviews and wasn’t put off by the more negative ones. I sometimes think people have way too high expectations. I recommend this as a place to stop for the night and get a good rest. The town itself has few amenities but kapuskasing is under an hour before and Cochrane is 25 minutes. So try it out.

- James (2/5): - Had to clean dishes myself when I arrived because they were dirty, "nonstick" pots provided for kitchenette were scratched to the point that they were unusable and the shelves were covered in crumbs from previous person. Showerhead in the shower not up to building code standards, had to go on my knees to wash my hair and I'm only 6'4". Then I overpaid because the attendent told me after I booked an additional night with Expedia that their "actual price" was 30 dollars cheaper, and that I shouldn't use the app. Then when I asked about a weekly rate the attendent took three days to find it out after which, lo and behold, I overpaid again because they can't list their weekly rate? Place is a joke, wouldn't waste money again.
- John (10/5): - Has locked heated indoor snowmobile parking for 10$ a night. Huge after those long days of riding or hauling a snowmobile to the destination.
- Jason (8/5): - Older decor but room was clean and comfortable hot water took a long time to warm up bright lights outside in parking area need blinds to pull down. But I would stay there again decent for the price.

- Ed (4/5): - The property, facility and rooms are very dated and need of repairs. The parking area is gravel with numerous potholes. Many of the occupents were from various corporate road crews with their company vehicles and equipment. The room was dark, worn and dated. The sink area had 1 out of 4 light bulbs. The bathroom fixtures were all very slow in draining. When the a/c unit kicked in the overhead light would flicker. We were traveling with our 2 senior dogs, thus requested a pet friendly room. There was an extra charge $20/dog. It was obviously this was a dog room from the scratches on the door and walls.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Old and outdated - Really outdated, tiles in bathroom shower looked ready to fall off the walls, holes everywhere in the room. Smell of cigerette in rooms. Doors had problems closing and opening. Walls are thin as paper was able to hear everything in the next room beside us. Beds were comfortable that was a plus. For paying over 200$ for two nights the i wouldn't go back unless they renovate.

- Lorraine (2/5): Very deplorable and heart broken - The owner and employee was phenomenal very friendly but the room was deployable. A few hours in my stay the fridge broke. The unthaw of the fridge melted on the floor as I took a towel to absorb the water the white towel was black. The sheets, pillow cases and shower curtains had stain. The washroom was filthy. The microwaves had blood on the knob and food was left behind. I clean the whole room with wet one that I purchase. It was a disappointment to have paid $504.00 for that condition.
- Victor (4/5): A very bad experience - We stayed at this motel a day later than planned. It was a terribly cold experience. The hot water tap did not work in the washroom... which is critical on a morning with -31. The room was very cold due to drafts coming in through many places. The worst was the front door to the room. The 'storm door' has many gaps and the snow came into the room as you can see in the pictures. You can easily imagine how cold it was.

He even offered to give me a bag of milk out of his own fridge. That said; this is an older, run down motel. Buildings and furnishings are very dated. But everything (the fridge, the micro, the wifi, the heat, and the hot water) was in working order. No complimentary ice though.
