The on‑site restaurant was convenient, and the beachfront setup with chairs and umbrellas made relaxing effortless. Parking was easy, and the thoughtful touch of beers and drinks stocked in the fridge was much appreciated. Best of all, the balcony view was perfect — waking up to that extraordinary scene made the stay unforgettable. Everything was great! Especially the location and the beachfront view.

Well an upstairs room. - loved the place and location. owner or receptionist was welcoming, friendly, and had coffee and pastries ready at the office.. I just simply dont like "Fabuloso" the cleaning solution used for moping. Very strong scent that lingers forever. : )
• Karin (9/5): - Vi älskade våra nätter på CoCo Vaa! Vi bodde i Turquoise Suite med utsikt mot havet och bara några steg till stranden. Nico kunde inte ha varit en bättre värd! Hotellet ligger väldigt nära landningsbanan på flygplatsen men det var inga problem alls, snarare tvärtom. Det finns en utkiksplats på området och det var verkligen en upplevelse att se plan starta och landa på så nära håll. Det var heller inga problem med buller, inuti rummen var det förvånansvärt tyst. Det är runt 8 minuters gångavstånd till den berömda Maho beach och vill man till utelivet i Simpson bay tar det ca 15 minuter att gå via stranden.
• Zoe (7/5): Relaxing & perfect location for the airport.. - It’s difficult to rate CocoVaa..The staff are lovely,the location is great-your in the beach..there is a great beach bar right alongside..it actually has everything..but it really needs a complete remodel & then it could be a 5 star boutique hotel..it still has a great vibe & very relaxing…we stay here always for one night as it’s right by the airport on our way back home..Always friendly & helpful & straight from the room to the beach.. Wonderful small hotel-just needs a revamp…its potential is huge!

• Alexandra (8/5): convenient stay near the airport and the new buildings area around Maho Beach. - the property is next to the beach, you can see the sea from the bed. the owner is a kind person, we requested 1 hour late check-out and accepted without any further discussion. very close to Maho Beach. the noise from the airplanes during the day, as the property is in the immediate vicinity with SXM. must specify that during the night there were not any landings/take-offs.

• Joanna (3/5): - This is not a boutique hotel. These are apartments to rent with no on site staff and entrance is via a code. The room bore no resemblance to any of the photos. It was dated and not worth the money. The lock on the door had been broken so we had to take valuables out with us. The only part of the listing we felt was honest was that it is next to the runway. Very noisy in the daytime but thankfully not at night.

• Matthias (9/5): One-night stay while island hopping - Exciting location directly behind the runway and with direct beach access from the room. Very clean room. We received access code for the lockbox well ahead of time. Complementary light continental breakfast was included. We enjoyed breakfast on the couch directly at the beach and in front of our suite. There is a bar only a few meters away, but it closed early (around 8pm-ish) so no noise distraction in late hours. Everything was perfect, nothing to complaint about.

• Sergio (8/5): Great experience for aviation lovers / plane spotters - CocoVaa compiles the best of 2 worlds for the aviation lovers/plane spotters. One side of the property is airport front and the other side is beach front. For aviation lovers we struggle to decide which side to contemplate. No problems sleeping at night as there are no flights during the night. The location is 15 minutes walking distance to Maho beach and if you are driving it is reachable by a 2 way narrow road. The room was well decorated and had a beach front spacious balcony with chairs and a chaise longue, however the room needs some small renovation works (some remnants of tape on the ceiling, the sink did not have a drain protection - be careful not to drop an earring or a ring). The toilet seat needed to be replaced because it already had some stains and the towel holders also needed to be replaced because they were showing some wear and tear. The bed was comfortable. Very good Wi-Fi connection. Large parking available. Coffee, 2 water bottles, 2 coca-cola and 2 beers were offered inside the room and there was also a small bar/restaurant right next door with an airport view rooftop. Overall experience was great. Shower with low pressure and no hand shower. Additionally, there was no shower gel. The bottle was empty so we had to use the hand soap to take shower :(

• Teresa (9/5): - Der Service durch Nico vor Ort war herausragend. Wir haben das Hotel gebucht aufgrund der Nähe zum Flughafen für unsere letzte Nacht der Reise. Egal was wir gebraucht haben, Nico war für uns immer erreichbar und hat uns wirklich sehr geholfen (Taxi, Restaurants, Empfehlungen, Umbuchung, Late-Check-out). Wir würden das Hotel sofort wieder buchen. Der Check In mit dem Schlüsselsafe hat sehr gut funktioniert. Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden.
• Cornelia (7/5): Voor deze ene nacht goed, strand voor de deur. - Mooie grote schone, kamer voorzien van koelkast, gratis koffie, thee en een paar drankjes en een simpel ontbijt. Het kabaal van de muziek van het restaurant van de buren, code met sleutelkastje, na 15.00 uur was er niemand meer bij de receptie. Het slot van de deur van de kamer was kapot, wel binnen uur vervangen, maar aan het eind weer kapot. Douchekraan werkte niet. Water pakken voor thee bij de wastafel, ging wel maar moeizaam.
• Prof. Dr. Thomas (10/5): Sehr zu empfehlen - Wunderschön gelegen. Tolle, große Zimmer mit Terrasse direkt zum Strand Sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Leider beschallt einen die - ansonsten sehr nette - Bar nebenan von morgens bis spät nachts ununterbrochen mit lautester Musik.
• Christelle (7/5): Hôtel coquet, situé sur la plage : une jolie parenthèse dans un cadre agréable. - Petit déjeuner succinct mais suffisant, avec du bon café (Nespresso), yaourt, viennoiseries, jus d’orange et fruits. Accès quasi direct à la plage. La musique du restaurant à côté était un peu trop forte pour pouvoir se relaxer.
• Dave Mawson (10/5): - This is a regular overnight stop when connecting with flights the following day. There is a bar/restaurant next door so it all works. When getting a taxi from the airport, even though it is in Simpson Bay, make sure they know where you are going epecially if traffic is heavy.
• Johnny (9/5): Nico var helt suverän person i, service, socialt och kunnig. Klart värt boende för hans personlighet - Hade gärna stannat några dagar för att beskriva mer, var bra första intryck men stannade bara över natten för få dagar

It is a Nespresso but way too small for a commercial application. Impossible to fill a cup. A cockroach in my room. Disregard for security: the slider door did not lock. I was invited to leave my luggage at the reception only to learn that the "receptionist" would be out for a 2-hour lunch and the reception would stay open. The receptionist needs an upgrade; they are clueless about the meaning of hospitality.

• Barry (10/5): Great place for an overnight stay before your flight. - Nico was an amazing host for us at the hotel. The room was large and cleaned and it was an easy walk to restaurants. Our flight was cancelled and this was a great place to stay for the night. We got the whole airplane over the beach experience plus easy access to the beach. Not sure if I would spend my whole vacation here but as a place for transit it was amazing and easy Ma

• Beth (6/5): Nice, inexpensive option for a short stay - The hotel is generally quite cute and in a nice location on the beach. The room was decorated with tidy, minimalist style on the bed and couch, and seemed very clean. I found the bed comfortable and the set up convenient overall. The road to the hotel is full of potholes and was very flooded when I was there, which wasn't great with my rental car. The major concern for me was that the lock on the door was very basic and rusted and didn't function very easily. I didn't find it a particularly secure mechanism and it made me uncomfortable for my safety overnight. Refreshed, more secure locks would make a huge difference. Also, the room opens onto a common area with large glass sliding doors, so everyone who walked past looked in the room. When I went to draw the curtains for the night, they had been hung incorrectly so the gap didn't close all the way for privacy or to block out the bright lighting outside. I had to rehang the curtains, spacing them out evenly on the curtain rod between the different arms, at which point I experienced how rusted the curtain rod was and that the curtains were falling apart. These would be an pretty inexpensive replacement that would make a big difference.

• Zoe (6/5): Good location and ok for an overnight airport stay - We chose this hotel to be close to the airport..& it was extremely..But the rooms are large & clean with big balcony’s looking onto the beach..Staff were friendly & welcoming..as were the beach bar staff..food was good too.. The overuse of cleaning products & sprays in the room,left me unable to sleep & caused a headache..

• Frank (7/5): A small, quaint boutique spot near Maho Beach - It was a quaint spot right on a small beach and walking distance to Maho beach. The bed was very comfortable. There was a great little restaurant/ bar right next door. The shower was inconsistent, I had a nice, hot shower; but my wife couldn't get enough hot water. Also my wife would have liked a hair dryer. The breakfast was pretty basic rolls, fruit, juice and coffee. Because it's right next to the Princess Juliana airport there is a lot of airplane noise during the day, but no flights at night, so it didn't interrupt our sleep.

Period for a relaxing get away still close to whatever you want but far enough away to be quiet. The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating both at the hotel and the restaurant next door. Nothing. And ai am extremely picky especially on cleanliness and kind service 🫶🏼🙏

They gave me early check in and late checkout when my flights were changed. They also had American TV and I could watch NFL football. Property was great but the road to the property flooded and it was difficult to get out
• Kamilah (3/5): It was an unfortunate end to an otherwise good vacation on these islands and I will not be staying here again. - It was on the beach which was nice, and the restaurant near it was nice. I’m kind of over properties that advertise themselves as hotels and don’t have staff during at minimum business hours. Also calling this a boutique hotel was generous. It feels unsafe to stay at as single woman, I was itchy for two days after sleeping there one night, any kind of bugs, insects, etc can come in through the bathroom window, and the bathroom was small and not that clean.

• Mark (10/5): Love this place! - Awesome location, right on a beautiful beach. Room clean, bright, simple but efficient with a big comfy bed. Any questions or issues dealt with immediately by staff. Great outdoor restaurant next door. Great relaxing vacation, highly recommend. Nothing to dislike. Just to let people know, hotel is right next to airport, but it wasn't an issue for us. Would also recommend renting a car, access due to airport makes for longer drives.
