Jeremy (7/5): What we need at the moment - Was a quiet atmosphere, easy to just do your own thing with out being bothered , there beds are amazing especially for people with back pain . Woke up pretty pain free Everything appeared clean , butt they defiantly cut corners and worry more about appearance then actual clean , morning housekeeper not pleasant at all, I literally did the first half of her job " we as a housekeeper before" and still tipped her and literally got eye rolls and the 16 year old go away irritate me attitude and glares. Which was a bummer because that was our last interaction and it was unpleasant which will make us think twice before coming again .
REBECCA (3/5): Disappointing - Location was good Room very outdated. Bathroom was awful - between the sticky floor and the fan/light that sounded like the Navy jets were landing on the roof. Room lights were missing lightbulbs. No "extras" like clock, Kleenex. And the TV wouldn't work.
Grace (8/5): Great base for exploring Oak Harbor - Good location, great price, very cute concept. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of parking. Not an issue, just something to be aware of: The sauna is quite small, so if you have a large group/family you may need to take turns!

Nancy (2/5): Very disappointed. - Front desk person very kind and professional. Shower pressure was good as was the location. The outside decor was fun, a Dutch theme. The sheets were clean. Parking was great. Walking into the room I was assaulted by a strong bleach smell. Luckily, I could leave a window open as we were on the 2nd floor. The mattress was the worst ever - super soft, no support, saggy. I had a horrible night's sleep as did my husband and a very sore low back. Cleaning was poor as there was hair and shavings and dirt on the vinyl plank flooring throughout the room. The old vinyl flooring in the small bathroom was tacky and noisy under our shoes. We didn't want to walk barefoot at all in the room. There was only 1 washcloth for 2 people. Free breakfast was lame. A Kuerig machine for coffee which took a long time per cup when people were waiting in a very tiny cramped space. No juice or water bottles; small yogurts or a bagel were the only options of food or a granola bar. There were ripe bananas. This place needs serious updating. I would not go back.

Jeffrey (8/5): It's not the Ritz but it was definitely a great value overall. I will very likely stay again. - An older property, which shows its age. Having said that, the room was spotless. The bathroom and its fixtures meanwhile have obviously been updated and (well) maintained. The only glitch was that the water went out for about an hour the second evening of my two night stay. Not sure if it was something at the property itself or something related to the local water system, but the desk was proactive in communicating about it and the water was restored timely.

The office staff said he'd be off work at 9 p.m., whether the water was back on or not. Floors sticky, remote control sticky, dirty bathroom with mold. Just a nasty place with bad plumbing and staff with an utter lack of hospitality skills.

Timothy (6/5): A nice place to stay, good breakfast, great parking, and a nice feel. - The noise from adjacent rooms was a little loud. The front office / reception was great! Breakfast was very nice and appreciated. The location was on the outside of Oak Harbor and although a little walk to the shops it was well worth it. Room was too cold, window was open upon arrival, and heat was not working properly. The housekeeping staff could have closed the window before check in.

The room was so cold and the heater was extremely loud, and there were no extra blankets, so at night I was freezing awake or awake listening to the loud heater. Jarmann (4/5): Overwhelmed Owner. - The hotel looked like a retreat in Holland. The sheets and bedding were clean. The beds, once you got in, we're comfortable. The smell of the room was unpleasant and overwhelming, causing my sister and I some respiratory distress. The floor of the bathroom was very sticky, and my shoes stuck to the floor and made a sound similar to velcro being ripped apart when I walked. In the bathroom, there was a 3 inch ring of dirt on the floor around the edges of the room. Under the bedding, there was dirt and what looked like cat hair. There were wheels on the bed and every time you got in the bed it moved several inches and almost sending be to the floor. The owner seemed overwhelmed when we complained about the room.

The place is older so there was some engrained mold in the shower. Cleanliness of bathroom could have been a bit better, I found a used soap bar in the shower. The rest of the room was cozy and the heat was good. Depending on the side of the building you are on, the parking spots can be a bit small. Overall, not a bad place for the price and location.

Overall, just my opinion, it is time upgrade the bathrooms, time to get rid of the grout, it looked dirty and moldy. I understand tiles with grout is very hard to clean, so maybe it is time to get rid of it. The location is great, & the front desk service was very good.

Oma (6/5): Needs an update - Shower tiles had mold growing on the grout, bird droppings on the stairwell handrails, and being declined a 1st floor room even with being handicapped.

Mila (6/5): - Clean, but very dated property. Noise from the airplanes. Extension cords for the microwave, coffee maker and the fridge did not look very safe.
Mary Jane (4/5): - Poorly furnished room. Nothing attractive about the decor, lots of useless wood furniture needing refinishing, looked like it was being stored in the room Was told room would be updated "this winter". Looked like mold on the tile grout in the bathtub surround.Room was cold and there wasn't a heat source.

Anna (2/5): - The pictures make it seem like it’s in a great area and so cute. That’s fake. It’s RIGHT on a highway, rooms are tiny, everything is old, filthy floors, your basically sleeping with semi trucks blazing past, you couldn’t get any closer to the highway

RICHARD (4/5): Disappointed and would not stay again. - Comfy beds. Quiet. Restaurant next door. Poor room upkeep. This is an old motel that was good in it day. But time has taken a toll on the room with little upkeep. Soiled bath towels left behind bath room door by housekeeping were a turnoff. Parking had very narrow spaces, presumably to increase the number of spots. Too expensive for what was delivered.
Jane (10/5): Cute and highly functional. - It’s such a cute place to pull upto after a long day of steering. Friendly and upbeat personnel checked us in and made sure we knew everything we needed to know. Beds were comfortable. Sink was a pedestal so no countertop space but the bathroom had everything else we needed. The included Breakfast was good and have several offerings.
Elliott (7/5): I would stay again, if they have a room with a newer, more comfortable bed. - It is a very cute place, the jetted tub in the King room was very nice. The staff were very friendly. The bed could be replaced. It was not comfortable. The fireplace was cute, but did not work.
