We had a wonderful breakfast, and the cocktails mixed for us at the bar were fantastic. The room was pleasant and comfortable, and the accommodation is centrally located in the city center. Neither Uber nor Bolt could reach the accommodation directly. Everything else was great.
• Liridona (9/5): - Sdhe sauber, gemütlich und auch wenn es etwas kleiner ist, genügend Platz für 2 Personen. Es hat Paltz zum kleider Aufhämgen aber ein Schrank hat es nicht. Ich war 3 Tahe dort udn absolut genügend. Das Frühstück isch mega gut, weil das Müsli swlbstgemacht ist und das Brot auch. Einfacher Zugang ins Hotel mit einem Code. Sehr sehr freundliche und liebvolle Besitzerin. Die Türe des Badezimmer führt direkt zur Terrasse.

• Sabrina (10/5): Sofort wieder! - Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel in Lissabon war rundum gelungen. Die Lage ist perfekt – viele Sehenswürdigkeiten lassen sich bequem zu Fuß erreichen, was unseren Trip besonders entspannt gemacht hat. Das gesamte Team war unglaublich freundlich und herzlich. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir auch das hoteleigene Restaurant: Die Qualität der Speisen war herausragend, und der Service war nicht nur exzellent, sondern auch angenehm locker und humorvoll. Ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön geht an unsere Frühstücksdame Tatjana. Sie war einfach zauberhaft – stets gut gelaunt, aufmerksam und voller hilfreicher Tipps. Mit ihrer positiven Ausstrahlung hat sie uns jeden Morgen aufs Neue den Start in den Tag versüßt. Ein kleiner Hinweis: Die Zimmer liegen zur Straße hin sowie in Richtung der Restaurantterrasse, wodurch es gelegentlich etwas lebhafter sein kann. Uns persönlich hat das jedoch überhaupt nicht gestört. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Per 4 persone, totale 2 letti matrimoniali spendere 200€ e' troppo, troppo.
• Thorsten (5/5): Aufgrund der Lage ok, Komfort mit Blick auf den Preis mäßig. - Ordentliches Frühstück, sehr nettes Personal, gute Lage mitten in der Altstadt Die Zimmer liegen direkt an der Hotelterrasse, die abends und nachts als öffentliches Restaurant/Bar genutzt wird. Bis ca. 1 Uhr nachts ist es extrem laut im Zimmer, auch bei geschlossenem Fenster. Dusche, Toilette und Waschbecken befinden sich zwischen Bett und Terrasse (Vorhang am Fenster muss somit zugezogen bleiben) und sind nur über eine Schiebetür vom Schlafbereich trennbar (nur optisch, nicht akustisch). Man sollte schon sehr vertraut miteinander sein, wenn man hier zu zweit wohnt.

Well we didn’t actually stay as after difficulty getting an access code to get in when we eventually got in we couldn’t believe how dark & small it was. Opened the curtains to find the restaurant/bars terrace was up against the windows so impossible to have any natural light in the room as keeping the curtains open meant all could see us😵‍💫 Went straight back out & found another place to stay immediately.

• Javier (10/5): Lovely place, wonderful service, and unforgettable meals. - We had an amazing stay at Santa Bica in Lisbon. The highlight of our experience was definitely the service. Tatiana, who takes care of the guest house, is incredibly kind, welcoming and attentive. She made us feel at home from the very beginning, always taking care of every detail, especially during breakfast, and giving us great recommendations on what to do in the city. She also suggested having dinner at the restaurant in the guest house, and honestly… it was the best meal we had in Lisbon. The service was very personalized, and the quality and flavor of the food were absolutely incredible. The place itself is beautiful, very well located, and has a really cozy atmosphere. Everything was excellent. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it!

La única ventilación era la puerta que daba a la terraza del restaurante, lo cual hacía imposible tenerla abierta si no estás en la habitación. Esto junto con la ducha prácticamente al lado de la cama provoca muchísima humedad dejando la ropa con mal olor.

Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist der nette Kontakt zu der super lieben Dame, dessen Name ich leider nicht weiß,aber sie war unglaublich freundlich ❣️ Die Lage ist grundsätzlich super,liegt direkt an der Standseilbahn St.Bica(die ja aufgrund des Unglücks erstmal stillgelegt wurde),man sollte einigermaßen fit sein,da es in der Mitte eine ziemlich steilen Hügels liegt.Aber der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist es wert! Gewöhnungsbedürftig,wie aber auch schon öfter in den Bewertungen gelesen,dass es sich auf der Terrasse um ein Restaurant handelt,welches auch sehr gut besucht ist,uns hat es überhaupt nicht gestört und spätestens gegen Mitternacht war dann auch Ruhe. Allerdings sitzen die Gäste unmittelbar vor dem Zimmer!

Tatjana, unser Mädchen für alles, war eine hervorragende Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns mit ihrer Freundlichkeit und ihrem sonnigen Wesen schon am Morgen erfreut. Das Frühstück war gut und reichlich, wir konnten auch jederzeit nachbestellen. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ordentlich, auch dafür hat Tatjana gesorgt. Das Santa Bica ist auch ein Restaurant, an dem gut und gerne gegessen wird. Die Zimmer befinden sich allerdings in unmittelbarer Nähr zur Terasse an der sich am Abend viele Gäste aufhalten. Es kann schon so bis Mitterncht etwas lauter sein.

Das Hotel liegt wirklich ideal, alles ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit, man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das leckere Frühstück – ein perfekter Start in den Tag. Die Fenster unseres Zimmers gingen direkt auf das Restaurant hinaus. Wir hatten das Pech, dass dort ein Geburtstag gefeiert wurde, und es war so laut, als würde die Party direkt am Bett stattfinden. Wer mit nächtlicher Lautstärke kein Problem hat, wird sich hier rundum wohlfühlen. Für Gäste, die ruhige Nächte brauchen, ist es dagegen weniger geeignet.

Les chambres donnent directement sur la terrasse du restaurant. Autant dire qu'il est difficile de dormir avant minuit.

Terasse vom Restaurant ist direkt vor den Zimmer-Terrassen-Türen und bis Mitternacht besucht, Wände sind hellhörig (wir konnten aber trotzdem schlafen 😴). Der Rest wurde mit dem Personal besprochen. Mit dem Taxi kann man nicht vor das Hotel fahren, ca. 100 Stufen mit Gepäck...

• Mirella (9/5): Absoluut de moeite waard en ik beveel deze accommodatie ook zeker aan! - Het hotel ligt direct aan de Bica Elevator. Centraal gelegen wijk en in de avond veel leuke eet- en drinkgelegenheden op een steenworp afstand. Het hotel zelf heeft een een charmant restaurant en de kaart en wijnen zijn absoluut prima! Het personeel is zeer behulpzaam en heel vriendelijk. Ontbijt was ook heel uitgebreid; fruit, yoghurt, muesli, fruitsap, eieren, brood,beleg. Geen buffet maar aan tafel geserveerd. Ik kan niks slechts bedenken. Mijn dochter en ik hadden er geen last van maar misschien dat mensen die voor hun rust komen (wat mij vreemd lijkt als je op city trip gaat..), zouden het misschien storend kunnen ervaren dat de kamers aan het terras van het restaurant liggen. Maar eerlijk in Portugal gaat iedereen laat eten en laat naar bed. Dus wij vonden dit zeker geen min punt ;-).

La posizione super centrale e anche la comodità del letto! Solo il fatto che la camera era attaccata al terrazzo dove si mangiava (ma per brevi soggiorni non crea grossi problemi).

• Matt (9/5): Unbeatable location - Great size room, very clean and modern. Staff were very welcoming and nice. Can’t beat the location, definitely recommend ubering to the top of the street when arriving, rather then the bottom where it will default to when putting the address into uber. Included breakfast was so so good Obviously it is a restaurant and is very loud from 6:30pm-12:30am. But we expected this. Unfortunately the door from our room to the terrace where the restaurant seating is wasn’t closed properly by staff during cleaning I’m assuming, so the soundproofing didn’t work for the first night. We noticed this the following morning when we pulled back the curtain. After closing properly it was significantly quieter. The double shower curtain on either side is a bit awkward, at all times you have a curtain touching you. Would be a lot better changing to glass for bathroom side.

• Brittany (5/5): Great location but the room left much to be desired. - Great location! The room was incredibly small- barely enough room to open two carry on suitcases. There was black mold in the room. There was no privacy between the bedroom and the bathroom. You couldn’t open the curtains otherwise the restaurant guests would be looking into the bathroom/room. The wifi did not work.
• Ianthe (3/5): Sleepless nights - The breakfast was great, very fresh. The female chef/ receptionist was so kind, friendly and warm. Easy access into the building with a code to the door rather than a key card. The bed was comfy. The room shares a clear door with a restaurant which stays open until after 12 am, it's so loud you can literally hear loud music and chatter in the hotel room all night. I could barely sleep until 2 am. Additionally you can never have the curtains open for fresh air as patrons in the restaurant would be able to see you naked/ using the shower/ using the toilet. No privacy. Also the location of the restaurant is right on a hill that no uber/bolt services can access so if you have luggage prepare to carry it up 100 stairs. The room had only one plug socket and the wifi didn't work properly. There were ants in the room (probably because the room shares a glass door with the restaurant) and I saw insects in the hallway. If you want a private, quiet, good night sleep don't stay here!

• Mateimmm (5/5): Kinda bad experience - The area is good. Bairro Alto neighborhood close to Cais do Sodré. Close to the city center. Breakfast was ok-ish. Staff pretty friendly. The rooms are actually connected to the restaurant Santa Bica, on a very crowded and noisy street corner. Room has no psysical key only number code. To access the rooms you have to go through the restaurant and a shady hallway with all sort of depositing rooms on left and right. The rooms look like they are staff rooms and sometimes rented out for extra cash. The rooms are on the ground floor and the window/door from the room also from bathroom are actually seeing in the back yard where there are tables with customers eating, shouting, laughing having fun. I mean literally if you open the courtain you are 1 m away from customers sitting at tables in the back yard, that can see inside the room/shower if you don’t keep the courtain closed. Free peep show. Room was kinda dirty and had a funky smell. Absolutely nothing in the room except bed, table, an armchair. Very basic. We paid 130 euro a night which is very expensive for the conditions offered. Staff not responsive on booking. We wrote many messages two days in arvance to make the check-in and announce when we are going to come, nobody answered untill we showed up at the location and realised that customer care people were the bartenders that were busy all the time. Food on the other side at the restaurant was good. We had octopuss and it was tasty. Very very very noisy. Not only the santa bica tram that passed by the building every 10-15 minutes, but the street corner is full of bars and the people party until well over midnight. If we weren’t so tired to fall asleep immediately one could not go to sleep due to the very noisy atmosphere that was toing on on the back terrace, basically next to our window/door. To be honest we wouldn’t stay here again, luckily it was our last night in the city and we barely went through it.

• Stephen (7/5): Generally enjoyable. Only negatives - noise from restuarant and small room sizes. - Location, great breakfast and friendly staff. Room was clean and serviceable. Rooms were rather small. The noise from the restaurant kept me awake on two nights with large, raucous parties.
• Adi (4/5): Disappointing - The bed area looked exactly like in the photos. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was pleasant What you don’t see in the photos is that the bathroom and shower area are separated by a wall and window that face the balcony, where people sit and talk in the evenings. This means there’s a lot of noise, and only a curtain separates you from the outside—when it’s open, there’s no privacy at all. Also, it’s important to note that when someone in one of the rooms takes a shower, the humidity builds up quickly and the walls become damp
• David (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location and cozy! The staff was amazing! Just the noise at night, but it wasn’t that bad.
• Gisela (7/5): Good - The staff was wonderful. They were very helpful and courteous. Five star service! The breakfast was great and the food in the restaurant was the BEST we enjoyed in Lisbon! Be sure to sit on the terrace under the lemontree and enjoy the view of the narrow streets and the river in the distance. This location is difficult to get to. Not for elderly or mobility impaired. ***Be sure to use the transportation service they recommend. It is right next to "the Elevator" tram. BUT the tram makes no stops.

• Malina (9/5): Amazing location and lovely staff. - The place has an amazing location and the staff is incredibly friendly. Breakfast was also very good and nice to have outside on the roof terrace. As there is also a restaurant it can get a little noisy at night. We were fine with it, however it is something to take into consideration.

• Michael (1/5): This accommodation had poor service, major privacy issues, and uncomfortable conditions, making it a - The neighborhood is quite beautiful, with charming streets and a vibrant atmosphere. Its lively energy adds a nice touch to the experience, even if the accommodation itself fell short. Our experience at this accommodation was disappointing. Upon arrival, we were left waiting at the door for over an hour, with no response from the provided contact methods: phone, WhatsApp, Instagram, or Booking messaging. The room itself had major privacy and comfort issues. A patio door opened directly into a restaurant, where people stayed until well past midnight, creating noise and a lack of privacy. Even more concerning, the shower wall was a transparent window facing the restaurant. While a shower curtain was provided, it felt bizarre and uncomfortable to use a shower with diners sitting just outside. Breakfast was another inconvenience, starting at 8:30 AM, which isn’t practical for travelers with early schedules. Lastly, we woke up to an unexpected issue: the entire room felt damp, and our belongings were noticeably humid. This was strange and unpleasant, especially since we didn’t encounter this problem anywhere else during our trip to Lisbon—and we’re not typically fussy about accommodations, often opting for hostels. Unfortunately, we can’t recommend this place based on our stay.
