Guest Reviews
- Redneckamerican (10/5): Good place - Good place, everything worked, remodeled bathroom, no bad smells, good guy at the desk. Discounts at local restaurants, good price, good wifi. Had a lot of disappointing stays on our trip, this place impressed us.
- FrancieS728 (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Bobby was welcoming and ground his fresh coffee beans for us. The beds were truly queen and gave us a good night's rest. It was just right for the price. There was a small refrigerator, table and chairs, and we were able to park right in front of our room. There were lots of choices for eating and we were given a discount card at check in for a great breakfast place. It was a good stop for weary travelers and we would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Didn't feel safe as there was no deadbolt lock on door. Room hadn't been used in months and it was dirty. Window in extra had no blinds or window covering. Cockroaches in tub. Only positive was that Bobby from the front desk was very helpful and nice.
- Tattooski (8/5): Working hard - Stop here for the night in our way back to Oregon. The gentleman at the desk was very welcoming and friendly.
He stated that they were in the middle of a remodel and were working hard on getting the motel back in shape. He also apologized for not offering breakfast, they are working on the area where it will be served in the future. To make up for it, he offered to bring us coffee to our room. Further explaining, the beans were ground fresh each morning. How can you go wrong with that?
The room was very spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable and sheets clean and crisp. And a nice surprise, an overstuffed chair with an ottoman.
A table and two chairs add a nice touch with plenty of tabletop space to do work or have a meal.
Bathroom has new fixtures and was spotless.
There are a few minor details that need to be attended to but nothing detracted from our stay.
- Christine (10/5): This motel is great.... highly recommended - Our check in was quick and welcoming... the room was large and the beds very comfortable.... we enjoyed the freshly ground coffee we received and the bottled water daily.... we would highly recommend this cost effective and comfortable motel
- cathyannr2017 (8/5): Nice place to stay. - This was a last ditch effort in a town full of corporate chains and frankly I won't go anywhere else. The clerk, Bobby, was empathetic and helpful, courteous and gracious . Rooms were clean spacious and all one required to be comfortable. The rate was comparable to the sold out chains.
- mikemR6777LQ (10/5): Good place - A few things are required to get the 5 star and they got it.
Coffee maker in the room. The manager grinned fresh coffee.
Clean room
Soap and shampoo
Roach and bedbug free
The room looks like it was recently updated.
I would stay again.
- romogdo (8/5): From Texas - Bobby is awesome, he make our stay enjoyable. It's a good place to stay if you're on a budget. Actually we stay here on our way to Las Vegas, and on our way back home to Texas. If you love coffee, Bobby has the best fresh grind coffee I've ever tasted.
- gcleff11 (8/5): Great Budget Stay... - Nice place, and great people running it. Room was huge, and very clean. Their queen beds were actually queen beds (sometimes places pass off a full as a queen), and frankly, they were the most comfortable we slept in on our travels. Other reviewers are right about Bobby, the Manager. He makes sure your stay is comfortable. Housekeepers were all helpful and friendly, as well. Wifi worked great. A bonus is it's right next door to the top dinner restaurant in Holbrook, and just down the road from the top breakfast joint in town, as well. And, we received 5% off our meals for each. Nice. A family friendly budget hotel for your Route 66 adventures...
- Tosha (8/5): Fresh ground coffee - While it is an older hotel and not part of a big chain, it was clean, comfortable and Bobby, the manager, will grind you fresh coffee. Great service.
- Catherine E (2/5): old dated hotel - Hotel is very dated-outside area dirty and cluttered with trash etc. We found out after we booked and checked in that this hotel is mainly used for low cost long term accomodations. Inside-the comforters were crusted with old food or something and so was the worn carpet.
- Sandra (6/5): Great stay - Bobby was great! The room was decent size. Love supporting the local community verses a chain.
- laurieh239 (8/5): Minnesota - The Motel isn't new but they're working on renovations. Bobby at the front desk made the stay worthwhile. It's not much to look at but was clean and Bobby gave us fresh ground coffee for the morning. Booked thru Trip Advisor but didn't have a reservation when we arrived. Bobby was able to accommodate us with a room. No breakfast was provided even though Trip Advisor said it was included. You get what you pay for and it was cheaper than most. The ceiling was falling down over the bathtub
- taylord941 (10/5): Great affordable stay in Holbrook - Bobby from the front desk is an angel. Super friendly staff, he went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Offered to choose what type of coffee we would like to have ready for us in the morning as well as offering insight into all the local tourist destinations to see during our stay. Thank you Bobby! He gave us a great deal on the biggest room at the Inn.
- Myself38 (10/5): A Beautiful Sahara Inn...Holbrook, Az - Very nice place to stay. I wanted to check out a room before I took one, and the Manager Bobby gave me a key and let me check it out first.. The room was very clean, it even smelled clean upon walking through the door, as I walked in I looked at the floor very clean carpet, looked at the sink very clean and polished chrome, looked at bathroom, clean & fully sticked towels and toliet paper soap and shampoo, i also took notice that the towels were very WHITE, like they looked as if they were new, the bed was very comfortable, pillows were fluffy, 3 on each bed and the linen was very clean and crisp...The Office Manager Bobby is like the nicest and sweetest man ever, he asked me if I liked coffee, when I replied yes, and he said because I can grind some coffe beans for you for the coffe maker in the room and brought me some fresh sparklets water, to fill the coffer maker with, he was very personalble and very friendly...I had to shake his hand on my departure. If you stay in Holbrook, Az the Sahara Inn is a great place to stay!!! We were in Room# 105.. has a small refridgerator but no microwave in that room.. Please ask for Bobby...😆 He will make your trip very nice!!!
- ConstanceP5 (8/5): Clean and tidy, free wifi. - Under new management and being renovated. We stayed in a renovated room, which they are designating as non smoking and no pets. Good value and nice to keep my money in the community instead of it going to a chain-corporate. We always look for locally owned businesses to support communities.
- kathryns965 (8/5): Good value in budget motel - Sometimes it feels good to support the local businesses rather than corporate hotel chains. We were attracted to this motor inn by its bright coral and aqua paint job. The friendly front desk attendant gave us a key to look at a recently renovated room: spacious and clean, microwave and fridge, free wifi, etc. We spent the night; all around a good value. As a bonus it is next door to an excellent Italian restaurant Mesa Restaurante Italiana.
- HarinderC_13 (8/5): Good - Good service, rooms are good, service is excellent, good house keeping, location is excellent, close to all amnites, help desk is very helpfull and provide you all the information about hoolbrock and nearest tourist places. Booking rates are excellent. I think it is worth you spent money for a stay.
- KristenM257 (2/5): Disgusting - My boyfriend stayed here, and he says it was the worse! The staff is rude, the man at the front desk can be a real jerk. The lady is gross. She was eating, burping, and farting in front of guest. The rooms smelled so bad, my boyfriend's chest tightened up every time he walked into his room.Just a gross place, don't stay here!
