• Martin (1/5): TRULY HORRIFIC and deeply upsetting and abusive - Absolutely nothing The facilities were terrible , the room was small , uncomfotable and dirty , the host was hostile throughout , on my second evening she spent over an hour shouting , banging , swearing over some pizza box , the next morning she was doing the exact same shoutung at a different customer over leaving luggage , i do have some videos and because of the hostile environment i was forced to leave 2 days early and seek alternative accommodation for the remainder of my stay , i would like my money to be re imbersed

• Matthew (3/5): Basic bordering on poor. - Location was good The sheets had dirty marks on them. The bathroom was unclean. The bed felt like it was sagging. The room I was offered bore no similarity to the pictures on Booking.com. The lady who showed me in was - being charitable - rather odd.
• Selina (8/5): - Great location in the centre of town, had a nice stay. Unfortunately the property wasn’t too clean and could do with a proper clean between renters. Dried up coffee and sugar left in pots, open frozen chips left in the freezer and no toaster, no fresh towels offered, though we brought our own, and we stayed for 5 days. Photos on site looks like they have been taken when apartments were first refurbished. That aside we had a very pleasure stay and will come back

Bathroom was not clean, no liquid in the shower dispenser. Not enough toilet roll. Mattress was terrible, old and sunk in the middle - needs replacing.

• Louie (1/5): Absolutely disgusting, do not recommend. - We liked absolutely nothing, left after 45 minutes due to the fact that the apartment was filthy and absolutely stunk. However, the shower was clean and when we phoned the owner as we didn’t know how to check in he was pleasant and helpful. There was blood on the pillow on the sofa and on the bedding. The apartment stunk. The oven and microwave absolutely disgusting. The sofa was covered in dust, dirt, crumbs and hair. There was dust and dirt all over the place. There was food marks all over the kitchen. The draining board was covered in mould. The bathroom sink had hair in and spit marks. We also did not see one member of staff while we were there, the only person was the owner on the phone. We did try to clean the apartment but it was beyond disgusting and had to book another hotel within the hour of arriving.

• Monica (1/5): So bad experience. - The only good thing is the location is so near from the railway station. The door is so visible to find. Everything is so dirty，the bed and pillow covered with yellow stain, and the extra duvet in the closet has blood on it. The staff there just knock 2 seconds and barged in with pin code, twice while we stay in, they just barged in with no notice. Then the last dayn they forced us to leave at 9:00. We total have stayed 7 days and only come at night, but we have to pay extra electricity bill several times and minimum amount is 3 pounds.

• Chris (3/5): A little disappointing, to be honest. - The location is great. The cooker didn't work, neither did the television. We reported this at the reception desk but nothing was done to rectify the situation. The morning of our departure there was no electricity at all. Seemingly we had to pay extra for this, not something that was made obvious at the time of booking.

• Bice (7/5): Fisher gate Apartments was actually just what I wanted. - The location is very close to the station which was exactly what I wanted. I was travelling on business and even though my company would be picking up the bill I resented paying £160+ for the Premier Inn up the road without breakfast included. This was such better value. The room is small with the addition of communal kitchen facilities which worked well for me. The room and bathroom was mostly clean, warm and provided everything I needed. The building has a member of staff who receives guests and gets them in. This wasn't necessary and I would suggest the owner adopt a system where people gain access with a code. Once in the reception area getting the room key and everything else is straight forward. Room security wasn't good with access via a door code that was available to anyone who chose to look. Fortunately once in my room I didn't leave until the morning so for me there was no risk.

• Matt (5/5): Good location but serious safety issues - Location was very good right next to main train station and close to town centre. There was a common area which was unmanned and on our first night someone left a cooker ring on which if we had already went out and not smelt the burning would have resulted in a fire. I brought this to their attention but even though a sign was put up not to use the cooker there was heat coming from it when I checked it on the Sunday. This is extremely dangerous to have an unmanned area with a cooker when every apartment they rent out has one anyway. Not sure if they will sort this issue but if you stay here be very aware of this. Would have preferred the TV was in the bedroom also but that is just a preference.

The mattress was terribly uncomfortable, even with a topper on it. I was glad it was only for one night. (There are good quality memory foam mattresses on Amazon for about £100. That would make a huge difference to the quality of this stay. )

• Pien (1/5): Verschrikkelijk, nooit meer - De key fob is een prettig systeem Hou je vast. 1. Bij binnenkomst zag ik meteen dat de deur niet op slot kon aan de binnenkant. 2. De ontlasting van de vorige gast zat nog aan de wc pot vastgeplakt 3. In de douche lagen veel zwarte haren. Ik ben zelf naturel blond en was de douche nog niet in geweest. 4. De stoel die in de kamer stond had verschillende brandgaten. 5. Het bed zat vol vlekken 6. Het matras was enorm doorgezakt 7. Er lag sla op de grond 8. Ik smste de 24 uurs klantenservice van het appartement en kreeg als reactie dat deze mevrouw al zeker 4 jaar niet meer bij Fishergate werkt. Haar nummer staat nog wel voor op het welkom boekje. 9. (En misschien wel de meest verschrikkelijke) Ik werdt de laatste ochtend wakker en sloeg mijn deken terug. Ineens viel mij een donkere vlek op het dekbed op. Ik zag meteen dat er bloed op het deken onder het laken zat. Er zat dus bloed op het dekbed, vervolgens is er gewoon een hoes overheen getrokken 10. En deze is niet helemaal hun schuld. Ik rook, elke keer als ik (netjes!) buiten een sigaretje ging roken, kwamen er verschillende onsmakelijke personen (duidelijk junkies) schooien om sigaretten. Ik benoem deze naar aanleiding van nummer 1. Mijn kamerdeur kon niet op slot. Ik ben echt geen klokkenluider normaal en heb er gewoon 2 dagen geslapen. Maar de ontdekking van het bloed was voor mij echt de druppel. Ik probeer het nu op te lossen met de host, het aanbod is tot nu toe lachwekkend

Toalhas não estava limpa, tinha um pouco cheiro mal no carpete. Falta utensílios básicos. Não tem interfone, tem que descer para pegar entregas de mercado ou qualquer que seja a entrega. • Michael (8/5): - The key fob was loose and fell off the ring resulting in me losing the fob (fortunately inside the complex and I found it). The result was that I was locked out of the apartments. I had no reply from the Whatsapp number and only got into the apartments through a 2nd floor tenant answering his doorbell
• Richard (6/5): I would stay again but I would want a mattress that doesn't massively dip in the middle - Top floor apartment in 2D. Very clean and fairly quiet considering on a busy main road. The bed is like a hammock. The mattress needs to be changed as this really put a dampner on the experience. I would not want to sleep in that bed again because it is not flat so really this is a basic requirement.
• Barry (1/5): Poor - Nothing We checked in and within 30 mins checked out and found alternative accommodation, sent a message to advise and still waiting on a response 2 days later. Very poor customer service. The pictures did not resemble the actual property. On arrival there were homeless people loitering around at the front door, drunk and shouting. The corridor had a horrible smell, there was another customer smoking in corridor. Just very very poor overall. Would not recommend.

• Silvana (5/5): Central location, basic accommodation - The property is in a great location right next to the train station in the centre of the city. I feel the photos on your site are misrepresentative of what the place is like, the doorbell was broken making initial access difficult. Once inside my room looked like a students room or one in a hostel, it was very basic. There is a shared kitchen, lounge you can use, which certainly doesn’t look like the photo on your site, there was a strange smell when you came in from the street emanating from the kitchen I feel. The bedding, bathroom were clean, if you need somewhere cheap to stay it’s ok.

• sonja (9/5): Super Lage - Der Bahnhof liegt gleich daneben, 3 Gehminuten entfernt. Tesco express hat länger offen und ist auch in der Nähe. Gute Zimmeraufteilung. Waren nicht sicher, ob die Bettwäsche wirklich frisch gewaschen war. Im Sommer ist es sehr warm in der Wohnung, öffnet man die Fenster, ist es zu laut, da der Bahnhof gleich daneben liegt.

• Liz (7/5): Handy for train station - Great location for the train station, you can see the station from the windows, really was in the town centre. Initially we were given a room at the front of the building, right on the high street, asked to change to the back of the building and was able to but had to pay more. Young concierge was lovely! Rooms were of a decent size and plenty hot water etc. Very secure property. We didn't spend much time in the apartment as we're out sightseeing and using trains most of the time, was a good enough base. There are 2 free parking spaces which have to be requested, we didn't know this until the day before we arrived, but managed to be given one, great as we didn't use our car between arrival and day of departure. Towels all frayed and smelled damp, we went and bought our own. Bed seriously passed it, mattress needs replaced.
• Sophie (1/5): will never come again as i had to leave the same day - nothing i had to leave the same day as it was filthy i didn’t like it as i had to buy my own cleaning products which didn’t even help , the smell coming from the room and the entire building was horrendous. we arrived into the apartment and the bed hadn’t even been changed , the bathroom was still steamy from the last person so they mustn’t of long left before i arrived. the bin was full of cigarette packets and empty cans. the dirt coming off the couch , bed and worktops was absolutely disgusting

Dirty cutlery, crockery, kitchen work tops, some previous guests socks and sweet wrappers under the sofa Contacted owner/staff several times as there was supposed to be a sofa-bed. No response. Mattresses were really bad. Just a huge piece of spongy foam with a big dip in the middle in the single room.. It's such a shame as the location is great but whoever owns it/runs it takes no pride whatsoever in the property and doesn't give a darm about the guests' comfort . Would never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone
