Guest Reviews
- Jayme (4/5): - Being close to the airport is the only thing it has going for itself.
- JeongYoon (8/5): Closer to the airport. - Good place when you need to stay near the airport.
- Shane (10/5): Excellent choice for travelers in need of rest - Non-Korean travelers, please take note:
VIP Guest House is not your typical western-style hotel. It is an "officetel," which is a Korean neologism meaning a building with studio flats that people rent out for a small office, apartment, or hotel room. So there is no lobby or front desk. You'll be directed which floor and room to go to, and there the administrative office is set up in one of the studios. They will give you everything you need to know.
When you land in Incheon, go outside to an area where shuttle buses or taxis are and show someone your reservation info. They will be able to call the shuttle for you. You'll have a rough time finding this place if you take a taxi and don't speak Korean.
All that said, it is most definitely worth a stay. I'd take it over the Grand Hyatt any day, especially given the price. The "hotel room" is the size of a fairly big studio apartment, so you have plenty of space, a kitchenette, a washer/dryer combo, and a comfortable bathroom.
On the first floor of the building are a 24/7 convenience store, a 24/7 Korean restaurant, a chicken and beer restaurant that's open until 3 a.m. (absolutely must try if you've never had Korean fried chicken), an Indian restaurant, and a couple other options. It's truly a wonderful way to experience everyday life in Korea as you recover from a late flight or bunker down for an early one the next morning. If you are staying here for a departure,
