We were on a road trip and appreciated a fast in and out, no hassle experience at a reasonable price. We like the old school privately owned hotels that are well kept like Reed's. Back up to the door and haul your junk straight into the room. No dragging coolers through lobbies and elevators and hallways. After all, we didn't fly half way across the country to waste time looking at hotels, did we?
- ROSEMARY (10/5): Hiking in the White Mountains - We were with a hiking group that used Reed’s Lodge as our base. Everyone loved the history and character of this lodge. All the rooms were unique, many with a particular theme. Pleasant place in the lobby to gather and plan each day’s activities. Our room was very spacious with comfortable beds and a nice hot shower. Several good places to eat close by.

If staying at Reeds Lodge choose a room that has it's own room name rather than a room number.. that way you will be staying in one of the renovated rooms. We were very happy with our stay in this room. Also try out the new piano bar right down the street for a cocktail called Eclectica Galleria. That was a fun experience too!
- JOHN (10/5): - The room was very unique and comfortable. Everything was clean and fresh. Well maintained and no issues with anything in the room. Continental breakfast a little sparse, but adequate for the stay.

- Bonnie (10/5): Best staff around! - This is our go to hotel when staying in Springerville. Great customer service and clean rooms. Free parking and continental breakfast. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Loved the 1980's themed room we had this time. Super cute!

- Victoria (10/5): My kinda place! - Such a cute hotel in a perfect location! While there certainly were other options available, the price and location was just too perfect here! If you're traveling through Arizona on Rt 20,, stop in Springerville! This location was perfect for us in our trek from California to Texas! While we only stayed one night, there is certainly a lot in the area to see while using this as a home-base. Staff was very friendly, decor as sooo cute and the rooms were very clean & comfy. We did have the room right on the road, so I was worried we would get no sleep at all from all the traffic. However, it did quiet down by the time we went and had a nice dinner! We had a great (continental) breakfast in their breakfast/ game room and back on the road with an easy check-out!
- Debra (8/5): Historical cozy comfort - Our stay was very nice. Bedside lamps were not plugged in and we couldn’t find a place to plug them in, but for a historical building that had been refurbished it was lovely.
- Gary (8/5): - Everything acceptable and clean. Bed was too soft for me, did not support bad back, no deadbolt on door, just regular lock but they had security camera nearby. Very clean, interesting, friendly place to stay--but no deadbolt.

Nice size bathroom and very clean. There wasn't much in the way of breakfast, it was packaged sweets, fruits and maybe cereal. My husband and I decided to skip the breakfast and get something down the road.

- Michael (8/5): A little overpriced - A nice well kept older motel, but a little overpriced. Sofa bed was uncomfortable, so stick to rooms with the beds. If you like the idea that you are replicating the past, it makes you feel like an old classic motel. Staff was nice.

- JAMES (8/5): - Very clean, refurbished older motel. Staff very personable. HOWEVER, I had a 2 night reservation but became ill before noon on the 2nd day, so had to cancel the 2nd night. They have a 24 hour notification requirement, cut since I became ill, I asked if they would cancel the 2nd night which was prepaid. They had no obligation to do so, but the manager was very nice and said, "I'll take care of it." She didn't. Not people of their work. I acknowledge they had no legal obligation to cancel it, but I trusted their word.

The one we stayed in room 5 was like a 50's diner room, with all the nastalgia , i was blown away by the size of the room the coca-cola fridge, micro wave, and pictures, Big bathroom, lwrge shower which was nice as i am a wid shoulder man. We actually met one of the owners, really enjoyed visiting with him, Walked to bar and grill for excellent dinner at the XA- Bar and grill. I will push myself in my travels to stay the night here . Im excited to see the next themed room to take me down memory lane. I recomened this Hotel to anyone tyat wants a clean, quiet and comfortable sleep. Great job Owners!

The bathroom wasn’t as spotless as last time and the “shower” towels are too small. I wish they had coffee makers or at least hot water cooker in room. Still think it’s a great retro place. Parking can be tough in back area.

- Clyde (2/5): Very disappointing. - This is a very old “historic“ lodge. Some rooms are newer and others are pretty much original. Looking at the review pictures, they are all of the newer rooms. The old ones are very very basic. The one we got had a window air conditioning /heat pump that would shut itself off if you turned the heat above 72. When it was working it was insanely loud and was never able to heat the room up above the low 60s. We were highly disappointed given the high ratings for this place. I have to assume that all those ratings were people who got the better rooms. The Continental breakfast was a couple week old apples and black bananas and cheap packaged pastries. The staff can not be any nicer and the lodge has a lot of charm. I usually love little places like this and I seek them out for places to stay but this one was highly highly disappointing. Absolutely cannot recommend.

Comfortable bed and pillows.The windows are all single pane - probably originals from 1949, but the road is not very busy. Decent, simple cold breakfast. Biggest complaint, which is not the Motel's fault, is local restaurants were either closed indefinitely or for Wednesday evenings.

- Amund (10/5): - This is what a modernized but also classic motel with roots back to ‘49 should look like. We came to the motel just to stay one night on our way to Sedona, but very glad we stopped here. Unfortunately there are no proper dining options in town after 8pm during winter off season, so we resorted to Safeway. Make sure you enjoy your meals in the motel in the designated dining area. This was closed off when we ate and were told off by the hostess that we were eating food in the wrong room. Would gladly stop by again!
