- Mary (10/5): - This was an unexpected delight! Someone has been loving on this property and it shows. The room was nicely decorated and feels very comfortable when you enter. It was an inclement day and upon check-in the desk manager warmly greeted us and explained she had opened the room and left the key inside. When we wntered, lights were on and a movie was playing on the TV...nice touch! The mini fridge and freezer were of ample size and did the job they needed to do. The TV was the perfect size for the room. I have back issues so the bed was too soft for me but my husband slept like the dead. The bathroom was very clean and I loved that we had colored towels, not the sterile white things you normally get. Again, a nice homey touch. I would aboslutely stay here again if I found myself in the area!

- Karen (6/5): - The owner was friendly and helpful. The room was very basic but had everything we needed for one night. No breakfast though. We ate at the Jailhouse which was fun and the portions were huge. There was construction on the street in front of hotel so a bit complicated to enter. Would stay there again if passing though. You park right in front of your door in the assigned parking.
- Greg (10/5): - For the price, this was an amazing motel find! Everything was so clean, and in good condition! The rooms are small, but have everything you need in an overnight room. Two chairs outside each unit for relaxing and a very nice and well kept bbq area. Would definitely stay again.
- Kim (10/5): - My stay here was excellent! Vera, the owner, is a true hostess. Very accommodating and all around nice woman. This is a woman owned/woman run business. The room was spitfire clean and the little thoughtful leaves ,(bottled water and granola bar), were a comfortable touch. I would definitely recommend Rustic Inn and will be staying here again when visiting the area.
- Kathie (10/5): - Vera was great! We were traveling with a tow behind camper and decided to do a motel for one night. Vera took great interest in helping us find a place to park it next door as well as went out of her way to open a gate temporarily so we could carry in suitcases and a cooler in through a shorter route. Little extras like two bottled waters and a breakfast bar were nice. Even had decent coffee in our room!

- Chris (10/5): - Our room was clean, nicely furnished and cozy.(smallish...but efficient use of space) We brought our dog (she has a small number of rooms set aside for pet lovers) and the property has a decent sized grass area for them to take care of business. This place reminds me of my grandparents camp by the lake...an abundance of chairs, shady overhangs and friendly folks having conversations outside. I'll make it a point to stop here again.

Our room was clean having a refreshing shower & the motel area was quiet especially after long travel day. A couple items that would make the stay better: having a Keurig coffee machine & extra pillows. There was a drip coffee maker that looked like it had seen better days.

So when I asked her a refund, she called me a piece of c***, white cracker, told me that I had to leave or she would call up a few of her family and have meet beat up.

We had easy access. The less than brilliant rating was only due to the number of stairs to our room. Pack overnight bag light.

- TANSTAAFL1 (10/5): Very Pleasant Surprise - Don’t Miss the Rustic Inn! - Spent a night here on a road trip. A well-restored/maintained older motor court style motel. The area is clean and safe. Room and grounds were scrupulously neat and clean. Iron/board, hair dryer, microwave, fridge and coffeemaker were included, along with some thoughtful extras like bottled water and breakfast bars. The property has been updated - rooms had new carpet, finishes, dual-pane windows (quiet!) and decor. The court area is attractive with tables and chairs; we sat outside for a bit and enjoyed the sunset and early evening. Bedding was fine; we added a 2” memory foam topper (we’ve learned to pack one on road trips) to make it even better. Vera, the owner/manager, was friendly and very kind. Will definitely return here next time we are in the area.

- Sarah (2/5): - This is an older property that is covering up overdue maintenance with "cleanliness." The smell of disinfectant was overwhelming but did not hide the holes in the wall, the patched ceiling, old curtain rod holes, worn carpet, vertical blinds that cannot cut the light from parking area, and the 52 decibel window unit set on low fan. The smell from the disinfectant was so strong it set my asthma off and we had to leave after 2 hours. There was nobody in the office when we checked in or left.

- Verified traveler (6/5): An OK Place to Stay - Definitely not a higher-end hotel, the name says a lot. As a place to stay, it was adequate and seemingly safe, but it needs some updating and the layout and location of the hotel, parking, etc., is not the best. It is convenient to some places to eat or shop, but you will probably need to drive to any business that addresses your needs and wants.

The room was larger than many, very nicely decorated, very clean, great shower and clean bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable. The price was very good considering how nice the room was.

We had a nice hot shower, heating for a cold night and a comfortable bed. The bed linens are old, but clean, and the room pleasantly decorated with homely touches. The room was not dusty musty and didn't smell of toxic carpet cleaner, as so many older motels do, so we were happy.

Thought it was cheap but worth a try as we only needed a warm bed and shower for the night. Brilliants night stay, door was open when we got there with the key on the side. - davideX3220FJ (10/5): Nice place to stay - We stayed at the Rustin Inn Motel for one night on a return trip to our home. Vera, the owner, was very nice to work with. The motel is older, but our room was very clean and comfortable and the decor was nice. It had a small refrigerator with small freezer on top and a microwave which we appreciated. It was a quiet environment as we were towards the back of the motel. We would recommend the Rustic Inn Motel.

- Mikhail (10/5): The nice in a small town Ely - The staff did everything to ensure that we were satisfied, and we never saw each other - this is a great skill. The room is cozy. Refrigerator and microwave in the rooms. We were there in warm weather, but the room is ready for the harsh winter. The downside was that we needed more than a couple of pillows, but there were more than enough blankets and towels.
- w4me2fly (8/5): A Reasonable, Clean, Comfortable Stay - Our Stay at Rustic Inn Motel was a pleasant experience. This small motel actually boast more quality than many of the higher priced, big chain motel/hotel businesses. Our room was clean, and provided the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable, the TV WORKED without a call to the front desk, the bathroom was stocked with towels, shampoo, lotion, soap. Plus, we were provided two bottled waters and snack bars with the usual coffee and tea. A nice little extra. The owner made sure she touched base with you and that you did not have any additional needs. WOW! For the very competitive price for an evening here, do not expect everything to be brand new....it is not. But, it is functional and adequate for a bargin price. Kudos!!!
