Die Matratze war bequem, und das Badezimmer angenehm gross. Die Gastgeberin war ausgesprochen sympathisch und aufmerksam. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die zentrale Lage ist ideal, alles in Josselin ist bequem zu Fuss erreichbar.

The room was spacious and light with comfortable chairs and a large bathroom, with hanging hooks! Good shower. Comfortable bed. There were spaces to sit outside and a light and spacious sitting room inside. There were maps, brochures, and guidebooks in English and French. There was a charming hostess and delicious breakfast. We had views in two directions of the garden and medieval city below, in a spacious a thoughtfully decorated room with huge bathroom. The hosts were very welcoming and we were able to secure our bicycles easily. Josselin is beautiful with dozens of half timbered houses and an imposing Chateau. It’s great to wander and explore, especially after the day trippers have gone home.

Petit déjeuner avec viennoiseries, yaourt et fruits. Petit jardin clos derrière la maison. Les rideaux ne sont pas vraiment occultants. La lumière passe sur les côtés. Le matelas est un peu dur.

Das Frühstück ist sensationell und es gab noch dazu frisch zubereitete Crêpes. Die Dame des Hauses ist überaus freundlich, spricht verschiedene Sprachen und hat tolle Tipps für die Umgebung. Our hostess Viviane was delightful and gave good recommendations. Breakfast was exceptional complete with crepe, fruit, yogurt, pastries, 2 types of bread, cheese and ham. It was served in a stylish dinning room.

• Dominique (5/5): Un cours séjour décevant - Le confort de la literie L’accueil un peu froid de l’hôtesse Les inconvénients de l’ancien comme les parquets qui grincent, le manque d’insonorisation intérieure surtout lorsqu’une famille avec 2 jeunes ados réserve 2 chambres en face de la vôtre et passe une bonne partie de la soirée ( jusqu’à 22h30 ) à naviguer d’une chambre à l’autre sans aucune discrétion. Obligée de faire le gendarme pour pouvoir dormir.

• Tereze (9/5): Superb - A nice little bed and breakfast, feels like you're staying at someone's house, but have a nice and big room, big windows and a private bathroom in the room. The place also has a little garden you can sit in if you so choose. The best part was the hostess, she was just the loveliest woman. She made sure we had recommendations for where to get dinner, for the breakfast she made and served us fresh, warm crepes straight from the pan, which was incredible, and gave us tips on where to visit and explore more of Brittany (note: it helped we could speak French). Bed and pillows are slightly on the harder side, but that's just personal preference. Also, note there isn't an AC, but with the big windows that's not too much of a problem.

Bike friendly: The host was very accommodating with my bike, which I was able to secure in the garden. They even topped up the air in my tires after I checked out!

We had a comfortable night and enjoyed chatting to the owner. We had two attempts but were unsuccessful in gaining one of the public parking spaces outside to unload our heavy suitcases - however, we did get a space on the municipal car park nearby without any difficulty.

We had booked a different hotel however were notified about 2 hours before we were due to arrive that they had overbooked. This wasn't good as we were cycling. Luckily we found Le 14 St Michel and preferred the personal touch of a B&B in a delightful home to a standard hotel. Breakfast was lovely with homemade produce. Good location for restaurants. Lovely small Spanish restaurant next door. Everything was fine.
