• Candy (2/5): - The rooms are adequate but not a nice as the pictures. The owners have a language barrier, but they are rude. There hot water is out and they just say sorry no parts available in town. This is something that should be addressed up front before letting people stay here. No one wants a cold shower. Even when you book your rooms they continue to knock and wake you to see if you are staying. I know I should go somewhere else but I’m working at night and it’s hard to just up and move during my sleep time.

• Sandra (4/5): - Be aware! Our room was filthy. It was clear the bathroom hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest. Long black hairs on the shower walls. A dirty washcloth hanging from the shower head. The shower curtain had mold and mildew on it. There were holes in the walls. And there were obviously people living in the hotel who were arguing and sleeping out on the balcony. The gal at the front desk was barely competent. She couldn't run our credit card so we had to pay cash for a pet deposit that we weren't made aware of. We chose this place for the price, but you definitely get what you pay for!

• Eli (8/5): Budget friendly - I have stayed at this location often while working in Sioux City. The staff is friendly and always very helpful. I have never experienced any issues with cleanliness or been unsatisfied with my stays. My main concern has always been with affordability which I have never had a problem with stay here, it is very budget friendly.
• ELLIOTT DAVID (2/5): - I arrived at two in the morning at the lobby. The person at the lobby was very rude and gave me thei room key to my room in a bad mood. I went inside. It smell ed really bad. It was cold and dirty. I went back to the lobby and the person again in a bad mood didn’t want to open the door. I had to show him the card key for my room so he would open the door. I told him my room was cold and dirty and I want another room. I would cancel. I wouldn’t stay the night. He said he would cancel anything that I had to cancel online And he just grabbed the card and close the door and left me outside in the cold. And I have one time and asked him if he could cancel my reservation and he said no that I had to do it and closed the door again. I had to go to another hotel. • Verified traveler (4/5): Never again - It gave off such an unsafe and sketchy vibe. When my children an i are trying to find our room 3 women came out of seperate rooms got in seperate cars with drivers and left. The women clearly knew each other but rode separately. Within minutes of the vehicles leaving cops roll through and sit behind a few occupied vehicles. After the cops left a lady in a vehicle told a man in a vehicle to follow her. We were checked in by a child maybe 10 or 12 years old. Our first room was flooded when we went back to tell management they asked us if we flushed the toilet. That door also was very gapped when it was locked like it had been pried open. We were moved to a different room after about 15 minutes of waiting. We had to talk to a maybe 10 year old boy no adult spoke english apparently. The room stunk like mildew and the floor felt tacky. The shower could use a good scrub. This was not worth the money paid. I would not recommend this hotel.
• Robert (4/5): - It's kind of a rundown and ghettorific place. Key cards had to be renewed every day because something always went wrong nobody managed the front desk cuz they're always in the back with their kids and the damage and repairs to the rooms was unacceptable

Upon walking into the room, it smelled of smoke. Smoke detector covered with a trash bag, bathroom vent stuffed with toilet paper, duct tape covering holes. Black mold in the bathroom, Stained sheets, and bed bugs. My spouse and I are covered in bites. It's ran by a family and while I respect and appreciate the hustle, this place shouldnt even be in operation. How it still is in operation, is beyond me.

Didn't like the carpet, felt dirty and damp and was wet in front of the air conditioner because they had a window unit stuck in in place of the original unit and it was so loud, the base for the bed was broke and tipped to one side, the room itself smelled very musty, loud music into the night, you could hear and feel the guest's upstairs. I do know I will never stay there again and will never recommend it to anyone. such a terrible experience, not to mention being checked in by a very young boy, and having to wake the owners in the morning to check out because they don't open the office until 8:00AM. I was ver disappointed.

Filthy and smelly rooms, the parking lot seemed to have a drug deal happening right outside our door. Very noisy and my daughter was terrified. We quickly high tailed it out and won’t look back. Re-booked our next night at a different Rodeway - won’t be making that mistake again.

It was late so I didn't go ask for another room. I the only good part about it is it was easy access to the Interstate. I would never stay here again

I did not feel safe there. Pictures of property on booking are deceiving.

There was no coffee pot, many electrical outlets uncovered, walls unpainted,half a roll of toilet paper with not extra in room. The bed was comfortable but not the pillows. Choice needs to upgrade the place. there was nothing there for Breakfast either.

I asked for a ground floor room when i made the reservation and upon arrival but still got placed on second floor. The microwave was missing a knob on the timer, the bathroom door knob didn't work and was loose, bathroom and vanity area was disgusting. Should have took pictures.

• Grandimperialpoohbah (2/5): Stay here at your own risk! - My wife and I stayed here for the start of RAGBRAI 2023. The place is a dump and should be avoided. The rooms are dirty and fly infested (we had to buy fly strips and killing flies became our evening entertainment). We were greeted and let into our room by a gentleman who was barefoot, claimed to not speak English, and sprayed the room with Febreze as he opened the door for us! There were crew workers staying at the hotel and their loud boisterous outdoor cooking and partying until 3:30am was inescapable given that they did this in the parking area outside our room. We met another couple who also shared their for RAGBRAI who said that the door lock didn’t work and had to be replaced when they checked in! At checkout, there was an issue with charges posted to our credit card account and we heard at least two other customers checking out with the same complaint. Unless this is “the standard” of Rodeway Inns, the chain/reservation system should demand their name be removed. We would never stay here again and would be highly suspicious of any Rodeway Inn in the future. We also noticed that the person who is writing the positive reviews is the same person who checked us out of the room based upon what’s printed on our receipt!
• Aaron (5/5): Passable - They provided a roof over our head for the night and a shower when we woke up. The place wasn't very clean around the parking lot there was trash and the dumpster was overflowing! The carpeting in the rooms felt terrible under my feet

• 757CCC (2/5): Terrible Run Down Location - Possibly the worst hotel experience in our lives. We knew the hotel situation in Sioux City was tight (due to the bike festival in town) but had we known how bad this hotel was, we would have skipped Sioux City. (1) TV not working due to worn out GFCI plugs (2) gross microwave (3) not sure the smoke alarm was even functional and (4) parking lot looking like the remnants of “Animal house”. I should have gotten a clue when the desk clerk came out barefooted. Hard for me to believe that Choice Hotels allows this location to be associated with them. If this is your only choice in the Sioux City area, keep on driving!
• Engle (4/5): Next visit to Sioux City, I will opt to pay a little more to stay somewhere a little nicer. - For $50, I guess you get what you pay for. Needs some renovation, but was basically clean. At least it didn't have bugs! Also, my boyfriend was disappointed it didn't even have a coffee maker in the room. Booking.com claimed they offered Continental Breakfast...they do not. When I asked about it, they said they have advised Booking.com of this fact, but nothing has been updated. Also, I think this hotel is used for long-term housing for contract workers and other maybe low-income housing, as they put us in a room surrounded by people who seem to live there and use the balcony/walkway for socializing well into the night...including eating, music, loud talking etc. We had to keep the A/C running in order to deaden the sound from the outside.

The room had not been vacuumed in a long time. Leaves had blown in where the door did not seal. Expedia price was significantly higher than the price at the motel. Ice machine did not work. One pillow did not have a pillowcase but the front staff did find one for us. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean.
