Gabriel (2/5): Youth trip - The beds were pretty okay. Slept well in them. The floors were kind of dirty when I came in and the room smelled like weed. The walls were stained with cigarette smoke and the bathroom door got stuck when you tried to open it. The bathroom towels also had some random yellow stains on them. TV remote was sticky and the microwave smelled weird. Overall, the cleanliness and even hospitality was not wonderful.

Patricia (2/5): THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!!!! - 1.) They are NOT pet friendly as listed on hotel.com. I had to pay $100 cash to the front desk to get room and it just went in his pocket. 2.) Stairs were narrow and steep 3.) Door to room had been kicked in and only had the keycard lock. No deadbolt etc. 4.) Curtain had a raw hem and was nasty and stained. 5.) Non-smoking room was covered in burn marks and came with an ashtray. 6.) Walls had holes and were stained. 7.) Outlets were loose and looked dangerous. 8.) Food left in fridge and microwave. 9.) Two half rolls of toilet paper. 10.) Shower had been painted and was peeling. 11.) One threadbare towel. 12.) Bedspread had holes and stains. I was too scared to look under it. 13.) Old pool halfway filled in with no barriers around the construction. In the end I cannot NOT recommend this place anymore strongly! I’m surprised it’s still open considering I’m sure they have to pass some sort of inspection every now and then. Maybe my $100 cash went towards paying someone off?

AMANDA (8/5): Good for a quick stay - The front desk workers were very kind and helpful. Our room was non-smoking but smelled like smoke trying to be covered up with something. The room was clean overall except for some stains on the sheets that looked dirty. They were light but it was definitely a little off putting. The pool was completely closed down but I believe they are in the process of remodeling possibly.

Beds were very uncomfortable, shower head was an antique (one thin stream of water and not adjustable), not enough towels, light coming through cracks around the door, no security bolt on door, check in was through a window because lobby was closed, just didn’t feel comfortable or safe! Will NEVER stay here again. This place was nice years ago, but is horrible now.

Verified traveler (2/5): - Are used to go to Greenwood all the time used to love staying there well here recently I bought online so I could get a room for tonight the total cost for it was $166 well when I got up there and tell them that I did it online and I wanted to know was I supposed to pay with my card up there or what was I supposed to do the lady charge me for one night $110 for two bed which I did not ask or ask for one bed they said that they could not do refunds the room that I had the covers were still dirty I could not get any calls through and I do not understand why that is just not what I was expecting out of Greenwood and I will not be going back there by any means.

Was only allowed to have two extra towels per night. Big incline up to single story rooms was afraid my car was going to get hit by someone coming up the big hill. Bob (4/5): convenient to major travel routes. - Toilet seat and lid were unacceptable - old, broken, stained and marred. Upon complaining to the desk clerk, we were offered and alternate room which was better. However, this motel is apparently older and has not been kept up. Drapes had holes in them and were not hung properly. The hair drier was cracked, dirty and had a build up of hair/lint in the nozzle - not something we would use. The floor was dirty in the corners behind furniture. There was a lack of electrical outlets in the room; one lamp did not work because there was no place to plug it in. There were no shelves or hooks in the shower room. This toilet did not have a lid so even that could not be used to keep towels and clothes off the floor. It seemed that every time we turned around we encountered another shortcoming. We would not stay here again.

Tina (2/5): Underwhelmed - I made this reservation based on the cost per night. I noted there would be 4 people in the room. We arrived and I realized we were paying for an extra person, which was ok until i discovered 2 towels. 2 towels for 4 people. I went to the front desk and was given more. I did tell her I didn't think I should have to seek out towels when my reservation clearly listed 4 people and I was paying for an extra person. I was a bit surprised to see the rooms were non refundable once the hotel swiped your card. I didn't remember seeing that in the information. I believe a continental breakfast was mentioned but didn't see sight of any food in the morning. We stayed 2 of the 4 nights.

robert (10/5): Quick trip - My family arrives later than expected after watching Helen Keller play in nearby Tuscumbia. Check in was still pleasant and the lady behind the glass was nice enough to extend our check out an hour the next day. Room was clean.

The reservations were not correct had confirmation for two rooms with king beds and only had one available. It was not a good experience and would recommend Expedia who you stated this hotel was rated a four..... not so.

Toni (10/5): Service went 'above & beyond' the norm - Staff was unusually helpful. Due to an injury, I was on crutches. Before I could even ask, the clerk immediately stated she would put me on the ground floor. An employee escorted me back to my vehicle and even offered to meet me at my room to help unload luggage. The room was pleasant and clean. I was given a handicapped room (again without my asking) ... the bathroom was unexpectedly large, more handicapped bars than normal and even a seat in the shower. The next day I was allowed a late checkout so that I woud not have to rush back from a funeral and again offered assistance loading the van. Clean rooms are expected, but when staff go "above and beyond," it's a place I know that I'll visit again.
